I recently went with 3 other friends for Corned Beef and Cabbage. The corned beef and carrots were great. The potatoes and cabbage were tasteless and soaked in water. I asked for some of the juice, as that is what I was brought up to use on potatoes, instead of the margarine they give you at 50/50. The juice was greasy and had NO taste. My companions thought the same thing! The cabbage was pure white and tasted like it had been sitting in water, instead of the corned beef juices. It was just awful!! Plenty of corned beef, thank goodness, and it was very good. The rest - not something I would ever recommend or ever try again, at 50/50. So disappointed as I have had other meals that were wonderful.
To me the best breakfast place in town! Also for lunch they have many more dishes! Great service!

This hamburger assisted me to forge forward with my work the other day. I was ready to call it quits but due to the chefs chi, I was able to do more work. Count yourself blessed if you can consume the nutritious food here-
The food and service was phenomenal I would definitely suggest them and would definitely go back. I do say that when I found out it was cash only it stunk but the ATM they had inside did make that issue less problematic.
Old time greasy spoon. Worth the stop. Specials every day for lunch and great breakfast selection. Who does like pancakes with a side of steak tips for breakfast?

Great food, friendly staff. I have worked food service for over 20 years and Im always impressed by their continuing dedication to making steady improvements, while maintaining reliably good food and service. Ive always wanted a place like this in my life, where I can get pie served on a plate, and a bottomless cup of joe, homemade corned beef hash, or sausage and biscuits with gravy. I am so glad to have them nearby. This isnt fine dining or adventurous culinary fare, but simple comfort food classics done well and served with a smile. They get a 10/10, I would definitely recommend.

...cold...wet and hungry after our 2 hour rainy cleanup of the Gateway Park Community Garden and Gateway Park River Trail... myself and 5 of our community stewards hit the The 50/50 Diner for breakfast Sunday Morning... the place was PACKED but they had 1 table open for us! ...Belgian Waffle with strawberries, Mexican omelette with salsa and sour cream...french toast... and too much coffee was enjoyed by all. Great place, friendly people, delicious food.

Great place to grab breakfast if youre staying at great Wolf Lodge. Skipped the lodge food and lines and eat a great breakfast in a laid-back environment in with the kids. The homemade hash and the cheddar cheese hash browns for fantastic!
I was really hoping it was really good. I never went till today, the french toast was bland, syrup watered down, and nothing special about anything else I tried. Way too much butter used on everything. Im sad I have to review a two star. The stars were for the hospitality I recieved.

Young skinny lady looks like she made no effort to get dressed .Reminds me of my daughters . But other then that friendly little dinner seats slant to the left. But old little place. Very cute little old fashioned diner. Very friendly staff. Great food at good prices. The building itself isnt accessible but just outside we saw a man in a wheelchair with a table set up for him. A refreshing find coming from the Great Wolf Lodge nearby where everything costs at least double what it would elsewhere and doesnt taste nearly as good
The staff is SO friendly and accommodating here. Mondays special is meatloaf and is THE best I be had, and I love the corner beef and cabbage on Thursdays. Counter, booth and table seating available.

Best Breakfast in New England! Cash ONLY location. There is an ATM located in the diner however you do have to pay for an ATM fee so be sure to bring your own Cash. The prices are very fair and you get more than your moneys worth.

Pancakes were very good - better than most diners. Pumpkin pancake was excellent. Bacon was too thin but still would be happy to go back.

This place is pretty mid rate when it comes to dinner food, which is fine but the hustle bustle environment was a turn off for me. It seems like this place is always packed and they do take out orders so your waiting for that while youre in house waiting for your order. I prefer somewhere a bit more quiet and with better presentation.

Always crowded and deservingly so! Great food and great prices. The entire staff is great and it is open early enough for the hard working people up and ready to start the day. Time it right, and you wont have to wait long but they do move quickly too.
Filling, home cooked meals, friendly, pleasant and polite atmosphere, quick service. Good selection of meals - breakfasts are of good portion sizes. Omelettes are excellent with toast, along with the home fries.
Always get food in a timely manner. Never have i had a bad meal here. Its typically where i go for breakfast on my days off. Nice atmosphere and good service.
If your expectations are appropriate then you will not be disappointed. Intimate setting, all the workings, kitchen, service and dining are right in front of you. Food was so so.

It was this tiny little diner with some really delish food! Waitress was so nice and very helpful! It almost felt like I went home for breakfast. Made you feel like family. Deffinatly not like any diner Ive ever been too! We will be back!

This is my favorite dinner in Fitchburg. I love bacon and the bacon pieces are good sized. The staff is friendly and generous with the unlimited coffee refills. The owners are local and always around. Cash only but has a money machine with a $2.50 fee.

Food was yummy. Especially the bacon. For the food it should be a 5 star. But...for a family restaurant, there were way too many swear words being yelled out. Sorry for your bad morning but I dont want to hear that with my son sitting beside me. Im not a prude but, keep it together family owned/run restaurant people.

The service was AMAZING the staff were super friendly and charming the presentation of the food was great BUT THE FOOD WAS AWFUL! The Mickey Mouse pancakes I ordered for my kids were not soft but bordered on tough. The homefries my husband and I ordered were bland with no flavor. His Belgium waffle with hot apples were bland and the Belgium waffle wasnt a Belgium waffle but a typical waffle. The oatmeal I ordered was very bland as well. We ate what we could and went home where I promptly threw up my breakfast. Also its a cash only place which was a minor inconvenience as we dont typically carry cash but they had an ATM at least.
