My absolute new favorite cafe! Come for the coffee drinks and breakfast noms, stay to buy your own beer or wine and have them serve it to you without the bar upcharge! The place smells like a old country store in west Virginia thats been in the family for generations and its the best.

I absolutely love the venue. Theres outdoor seating for the warm months, and for the winter months theres a large indoor fireplace. Its a great place to grab some coffee and food and get some work or reading done!

This spot is great for coffee, beer, wine, and spirits. I love getting a caramel latte here in the afternoons and this place stands out great as just a cafe. I have liked the sandwiches I had here but they dont stand out as much as their cookies and scones which are very good. On the alcohol side the selection is very good. They have one of the wider selections of Port Wines that I have seen in the area. Their selection of beers is great, a combo of local stuff and the best beers abroad. Great place to come to browse for something for a special night or when buying a gift.

Ive been to multiple Barriques locations across the Madison area and theyre all great! Their breakfast bowls are filling Ive never had a drink I didnt enjoy here.

I cant say enough about how wonderful this place is. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the people behind the counter are enegetic and attentive and the menu variety has a lot of thought and uniqueness to it. Thats without even going into their superb liquor offerings. In addition, when it comes to their coffee, its rare you go to a coffee shop and actually have coffee, resonably priced, that actually feels like it had care put into its creation. But this is the place you get it, each and every time.

Always a line, doesnt bother me but typically your order takes about 10-15 min or more to come up, even if it is just one or two drinks. Seems like they are outgrowing the space but wonderful cookies and drinks.

Ive been here many times. Whether to do some work or to have a chat with friends, the atmosphere is very inviting. The drinks here are wonderful and the food is excellent.If you ever need a place to stop by and hang out or do some work, this is definitely the place to go.

Very nice store- big and spacious- plenty of seating and even a fire place! Love their lattes very much (I think they just have exceptional espresso!) but all the coffee drinks I have had at Barriques are really good! Really good lunch food as well- good sandwiches and sides!

They have excellent coffee, a really kind and attentive staff, and a super cool aesthetic with the fireplace and wall of wine near the seating area.Were big fans of Barriques, especially the location off of McKee.

Was sitting at a table by myself and there were only two other people that were sitting inside across the room. I had not even finished swallowing the last of the scone I purchased and management comes over to my table and told me to put my mask on when I wasn’t eating. Trying to support local owners instead of the franchise stores but I will not be back.

The service is great! The food is always hot, fresh and delicious! The bakery items are to die for! And the coffee is amazing with a lot of variety and uniqueness. Definitely earned 5 stars from me!

Its always a good day when I can get a latte and a scone from Barriques. The addition of the safety measures they are taking for the current covid pandemic ensures I feel safe getting my morning starter.

This was my first time to this establishment and I was really happy with my visit. Upon entering, you notice the cozy feel. I went with a group and all of us enjoyed our food and drink purchases. The staff were friendly and they had no problem with us hanging out and chatting for long after we finished eating. We also really enjoyed looking through their vast selection of wine .

Very nice local coffee shop with an excellent range of wines and unusual foods. Its a good place to shop for cute gifts. The wine tastings at weekends are great fun and a good way to expand your knowledge. Barriques has many locations, each with its own unique flavor.

I love the rustic look and feel of Barriques. It has great teas, all the helpful options for coffees and chai, and its secondary products are actually interesting. For example they sell gum with humorous phrases on the box, and specialty chocolates. There is always a big fireplace with comfy chairs near it. Good place to work on something or meet someone to talk. Fair prices. Helpful food delivery system and well run kitchen and bar!

Coffee is good. Food is good. But, what does it for me are the hard to find liquor bottles. Cant find a particular artisan gin or whiskey? Give this coffee shop a try. It might surprise you.

I bring my kids here every so often if we have things we need to do like write thank you notes. They have good coffee and coffee drinks. They make a very good kids hot cocoa.Mostly what I like about it though is that the seating area is quiet enough to get work done, but not so quiet that if the kids forget their indoors its a huge deal before I quiet them down.They have a good selection of wine and liquor, and good food. Its not somewhere I go to but that stuff, but its good for impulse shopping.

Some have games that you can play with the people you are visiting with. This is a place that is also quiet enough to do work. Free wifi and plenty of seating. This particular Barriques is possibly the best spot in the Madison area for coffee and a snack. Ask for a London Fog. This is magical.

Great latte and food, the counter is a little cluttered, I didnt know where to pick up my latte or food when they called out my name. It would have been cool if they were slightly more attentive in helping me out when I walked up.

Barriques is my favorite cafe, there is excellent food and coffee and tea selection! This location has the best selection of liquor and deli as well. In my opinion it is the least quiet of the locations but there is still a lot of nice seating options.

My favorite cafe in the area! The coffee is always great, and I love the space itself. Consistently fast service and a good amount of seating. It can get pretty crowded during peak hours, but I’ve only been unable to secure a table on one occasion in the last few months. With that said, this place is great for hanging out or for getting some work done. There’s so many good cafes in the greater Madison area, including their other locations, but this is the one I enjoy the most. Definitely recommended.

This is my favorite barriques location because of the interior. Very cozy and welcoming as well as what I would assume is the largest inventory among the locations of wine, spirits, etc. They have evens here as well, like wine tastings. Barriques is also really fun because they have spiked coffee drinks which are awesome before or after a movie down the street. Their coffee is probably my favorite in Madison second only to Tuvalu which is in Verona.

Love their teas and coffees, the employees are always friendly. Definitely worth stopping in and enjoying a cup of coffee from a local shop.

They forget about a simple order and after half an hour of reminding and waiting they made it. No apologies, rude staff. Food is ok, but there are better places around.

This location has a large wine and beer selection, but also a smaller seating section than some of the others. I have been told this is the main location for food prep, so they have the freshest food. Fast and friendly service, and tasty coffee drinks as always!

Has a large selection of wines and great coffee. However the facility is not my favorite Barriques. I prefer the Old Sauk one.

Delicious food and nice coffee flavors(maple cayenne!) but the prices add up quickly. I ordered a latte and asked for almond milk (because of lactose intolerance) and was hit with a $0.75 upcharge. Charging for extra shots or flavors makes sense, but charging for a substitution due to a relatively common medical condition is a little rude.

One day I went in to purchase a glass of wine and my card did not have sufficient funds and the man behind the counter maliciously made fun of me. U will never fo back.

They have an extensive wine selelection. The food was pretty good. My child liked the Italian soda. The staff needs to give more information to first-time customers. For example, I just wanted water, when all our stuff was ready and I still didnt have my water I went back to the counter to ask, only then was I told I had to get my own and where it was.

Space could use some TLC (sheets of tile broken off the wall, dingy boxes stacked in customer areas, dusty, etc) and some staff can be rude. Last time we went the cashier was great and we got cappuccinos to go. The barista made them to stay and rolled her eyes when we asked again for them to go. She just dumped them into a cup and when I asked if she could at least add more of the milk foam she deflated she huffed and rolled eyes again. $5.50x2 for deflated cappuccinos. Ill enjoy my specialty drinks somewhere else.
