Only posting this as 2 stars because of friendly service. My family and I have been coming here for bagels and coffee on and off for years. This morning we were completely dissatisfied with everything. The new shakes are overly sweet and you cannot taste the coffee. Both the shakes and smoothies we got were watery and not frozen as we had cone to expect. The 3 cinnamon sugar bagels that we got has a mere fraction of the cinnamon and sugar that they used to. The French toast bagel had way last flavor than on previous visits.Overall not happy with changes that have been made. This place is out of our way, the only reason we would make the trip was because we enjoyed the food and beverages. If the quality stays where it is at we will have to find somewhere else!Management: what happened???

Love their food, but customer service is not great. If you choose to order by walk-in, you will not be a priority. Waited 20 minutes in store, as the drive through customers were waited on and the line in store was completely ignored. Ended up leaving. Drive through is the only place to get service there.

The name of this facility needs to be updated because they no longer serve caribou coffee. We were on the road for 3 hours anticipating our favorite Caribou drinks and when we arrived and told they no longer are Caribou we were extremely disappointed. In addition to Caribou Coffee being non existent, we weren’t greeted when we walked in. A gentleman was attending to the floors and the worker who eventually helped us was leaning on the cabinet texting on her phone. My mom ordered 2 bagels but the cashier wasn’t friendly and barely said anything to our group. The bagels were very good, so there’s that and a positive to our visit.

Today I tried using the mobile application to order a baker’s dozen bagels, but I wasn’t able to customize. When I got to the store I explained the situation and found out I also accidentally ordered toasted. The manager of the store was very understanding of the mixup and replaced my mis order with the correct order at no extra charge. Thank you so much!

Very rude staff. Not friendly at all. Sometimes this store closes before the time indicated. Often times they don’t make enough bagels and run out. Also bagels seem to be smaller than in the past.

I’m not one to ever leave a negative review but this is hands down the worst Einstein’s I have ever been to. Once I went inside to order a bagel and stood there at the counter for 20 minutes before an employee (and there were several working) even acknowledged my existence let alone took my order. We were there for a total of 45 minutes for 2 bagels. Every time I have gone there they have gotten my order wrong, once forgetting to put turkey on a turkey bacon and avocado sandwich (there are literally only 3 ingredients) and once giving me an Asiago cheese bagel with hardly any cream cheese when I asked for plain with extra cream cheese. Mistakes that I don’t even understand how you mess up. I agree with the other reviews that say it seems like they’re doing it on purpose. I would definitely stay away from this location.

Dont normally make a point to leave reviews but it is unacceptable to be a morning rush place and actively not have enough workforce for the shift. Not only that but it seemed almost intentional that the two people on staff were messing up the orders today. This is the second time in the last 4months that this has happened to the extent it has. Food tastes great but the service is hell. If you buy from here make sure to triple check your order to make sure you actually got your order and all of your order. Also dont expect to get through the drive thru any faster then walking in. It takes them an averageof 15 minutes per order and that is if you order something simple that other locations have had out in 5 minutes or less. (Ordered ahead on app and food wasnt even ready almost 30min later)

This is my third time ordering through the app and each time my order is wrong (ordered 2 bagel sandwiches, only got 1). I try to call the location and speak with a manager, but for some reason their phone line doesnt work.I had to make a complaint/request via Einsteins website, but letting everyone else know that this location has been nothing but problems..really unfortunate. This is another healthy place to eat they always have choices for those who are vegetarians or that want to eat make healthier choices I would recommend trying their food also the staff is great.

Waited in line at the drive thru for 40 minutes. Absolutely flabbergasted. We would have left the line but we couldnt get out. Drinks were made before the food so my mocha was cold and cooler was melted. They dont seem to be able to keep up with how busy it gets.

The last two times I’ve order here I’ve received the wrong order. The food is good but it’s disappointing to not get what you’ve ordered.

We go here when we are at work. The food is good . The last time I visited though They forgot to put an item in my bag. They corrected it immediately But I felt like an afterthought.

Nice staff but it took 20 min to get a coffee (one car was in front of me...) and then I ordered a caramel high rise and got something else. Didnt realize till i was too far away to go back. It was the worst latte I ever had and definitely not a caramel high rise

Staff is nice but wait times are ridiculous. They forgot an item from my order, I came back ten minutes later, it still wasnt ready. Inattentive and annoying. Dont bother if youve got somewhere to be.

I ordered a breakfast sandwich and a small latte. I waited 15 minutes in line. After driving away I take a drink of my latte to find a half filled cup of cold coffee. The bagel was chewy. I almost didnt go back because it is nearly impossible to turn into their driveway if youre going south on fish hatchery but I was really looking forward to that latte. I waited another 10 minutes. The woman at the window, despite being overwhelmed, was friendly during both exchanges. She also made me a large latte with an extra shot. So that was nice.

They’re super understaffed here. We waited 25 minutes for a bagel sandwich. Lady there was apologetic and gave us a free cookie… but the cookie was mostly raw.

Ordered 2 sandwiches in the drive thu. Sat and waited as the only customer for 15 minutes just to get home and find out my order was made incorrectly.

Very difficult to order ahead. Since this is a Caribou Coffee & Einstein bagels, this location doesn’t show up in the Einstein bagels or the caribou coffee app. There were no buttons/guides on this location’s website or google page (which I realize they don’t control) either. Only after calling the location and going through the automated message prompts was I told that I could order with DoorDash. Except, the DoorDash listing does not include any of the caribou coffee menu items and lists the location as just Einstein Bagels. I ended up having to call a few times until I bothered a human being to finally place my order online. She was very helpful and thankfully was able to take my order over the phone and understood the frustration.Seems to me it would be mutually beneficial for Einstein/caribou/whoever to resolve a clear way to order online, clarify the branding (is it Einstein? Caribou? Einstein & Caribou? Coffee and Bagels?) and link it to this specific location’s website. Especially in the situation of a pandemic, where a lot less-determined person might just give up and show up in person to order, potentially exposing themself and other people by having to wait around.

When you lucky and it’s open - Wait time is ridiculous, they absolutely have no system how to handle walk in customers vs drive through. Avoid at all cost.

A new location in Fitchburg! You can tell its brand new with all of the comfortable features. Its a great place to stop to lounge or when you are in a hurry. They have a drive through as well as an indoor eating area. One of my favorite companies to get bagels from! I just wish this location had a fountain soda machine like the others.

A great idea combining Einstein Bros bagels and Caribou coffee. Go to stop when Im in Madison and I want more than just a coffee.

I appreciate how they have displayed the calorie count on the menu as well as pictures to see what they offer. The food is delicious and they have managed to stay friendly while delivering timely service during this pandemic.

Good spot to go in and get Einstein bagels and coffee. The east side one has a soda fountain this one does not. Nice staff, quick service. Traffic off Fish Hatchery can make getting out an issue in the AM.

Only thing bad about this place is that when you order a 13 Bagels they give you a box instead of the bag Id rather had the bag in the box I am the service there is excellent they treat you like a custom like like a friend that like a customer

A few months after my last review I decided to give this place another chance. If anything the service is worse - slower - which I had previously put down to inexperience. But I recognize the same people from before! Whats going on here? Its not like this at other locations. Sorry, folks, I dont have time to wait around on my way to work. Convenient location, but I dont plan on coming back.******Good bagels. Having said that... Service is painfully slow. They are not adequately staffed for the morning rush - and their staff appears to be inexperienced. Poor communications between the front and back. I hope this changes, or they will not stay in business.

Ive been a few times so far and I have not experienced any rude employees. Ive been provided a friendly service every time. One of the times I was picking up bagels, they were totally undercooked and all shriveled up tiny things. The manager was willing to replace them all for me and give me a voucher for another dozen. Was very happy about the service!

I have frequented this location several times. Each and every time, the staff is exceptional. Theyre prompt, friendly, and efficient. The bagel sandwiches are always perfectly made, bagels are fresh and delicious.

17 minutes in the drive-through. From ordering kiosk to leaving establishment.Of note: there were no other cars in line.First off, the ergonomics of the drive-through are extremely confusing and backwards. The walkway for customers who go into the establishment goes right through the drive-through path.Secondly, the menu kiosk is very dirty and the posters inside were collapsing, so you couldnt read half the stuff.Thirdly, it took 17 MINUTES to get a bagel and coffee (oh, and I found out it was the wrong bagel after I left). I actually sat and timed it in my car. The black dude working the window just handed me my bagel, disappeared for about five minutes, came back to take my money, disappeared for five more minutes, and then another lady came to see if Id been helped, then five more minutes he came back with my coffee.NEVER AGAIN!

We stopped by Sat June 1 in the AM. The store was closed due to systems being down (i know you cant control that). But maybe just take cash a lot of people coming and going. Stopped by again Sun June 2 in the AM drive-thru had a line all the way around the back of the building. Inside also had a long line. The problem? Only 2 people working. Lost a lot of business due to people leaving because they were tired of waiting.

When I went in in June, I ordered a simple bagel with cream cheese, and it tasted fine. What gets only 2 stars is that when I slid into my booth, I felt a scraping feeling against my leg. The was an open outlet box with exposed wires directly under me, and the cut on my leg is now a scar.

Wonderful place to get good coffee and get some work done or just hang out. All the people working here are really nice and always welcoming you with a smile. The bagels are amazing too!

Visited on 10/31/18Caribou Coffee is my coffee chain of choice, so when I saw that one was going to be opened mere blocks from my office, I had high hopes. Unfortunately, this location leaves a lot to be desired. They are consistently understaffed, which makes it impossible to stop for a quick coffee and sandwich on your way to work. In my most recent visit, there were only 3 people working. It took 35 minutes from the time my order was finally placed till receiving my drink. I also had a free drink worth of points, but after 10 minutes of trying to give me the discount, but not understanding the point of sale system, I gave up on that. No one seemed to have a sense of urgency. The guy working drive through was on his phone. This isnt the first time I have received this low level of service, but it will be the last. On my way out one of the employees yelled at me If you know anyone, were hiring! I dont know if someone didnt show up for work, or if this lack of staffing was a purposeful way to help the budget, but something should be done by corporate the get this place back on track before their whole client base experiences this same lack of service and permanently goes elsewhere. Id rather drink gas station coffee, than have to watch this train wreck again.Note: Review was edited for the original 5 star review. Pictures are from earlier visit.

For those that left negative reviews....its been open for 5 days...give them a break. Im sure you werent the most amazing worker at your job either at 5 days in. I personally had a GREAT experience! The place was very neat and clean. The girl taking our order was smiley, friendly and helpful. I loved the meet the staff board with some fun facts, the $.10 off trivia question, and the chocolate covered coffee bean on my coffee! Staff are doing a great job! I was so sad when the old Einsteins closed off Verona Rd and I can finally enjoy it again in the area!

Never again! It would be faster to drive to the one near downtown. 30 mins for 2 bagels. Nothing fancy one even not toasted. They either need better training or more people.

After you reach the counter, after an unnecessarily complicated entrance into the parking lot, it was great. Bagels, and schmears in many enjoyable flavors are available. We had a yummy cold coffee, pumpkin and asiago bagel. Quick service. Thanks.

I have been excited for this location to open since I saw the sign. Today was my first visit and I understand they opened yesterday. The location is very clean and new and it is nice to have on Fish Hatchery Road. Im most excited for the Carribou Coffee. I was disappointed in the staff. It did not seem that they were excited about the new location or being there in the first place. I asked a couple questions about the daily coffees, Coffee Card, and other specials that might be run as a part of the Caribou program. The register attendant either didnt know didnt care or today was not going well. Ill give her the credit that its the last option. I was also disappointed that a brand new location was not set up to take Samsung pay. It is time to realize that telephone payments are here to stay. While the telephone payment option may not change the owner manager or leader has a lot of work to do in their team because I also see the sentiments in other reviews. Good luck I will be back and look forward to getting to know the location better and at that time Im happy to give a 5-star review.

Visited today and although my wife and I were the only ones there this AM (approx 9 AM) the gentleman didnt acknowledge that we were at the counter in front of him for 4-5 minutes until I asked if we could place an order. He sent a lady out who was by far the most sullen person I have been waited on in years. No eye contact, no verbal communication other then the final cost. We sat down and waited.... and waited without any idea if anything was even happening since no one talked to us. I finally inquired and the food came out shortly thereafter. Orders were correct and the food excellent (bagel sandwiches). A smile, a greeting, anything verbal would go along way to feel like a human being . Felt most neglected and marginalized. These employees seem to have no idea how to interact with other people much less customers. Will not be back.

As much as I enjoy there delicious food and coffee I increasingly find this location more and more frustrating. To often they are understaffed and have inexperienced staff members. Today I waited in line with 3 other people for 3mins, do to unacknowledgement from the staff I left. I walked over to McDonalds. (1 building over) ordered a coffee and a breakfast sandwich. After receiving my food and beverage I walked back past coffee and bagels where I had parked and the same two people that were in line in front of me were still waiting to be served.

They actually close at 4pm every day. They are almost always understaffed. The employees are very short with you when ordering. Most frustrating of all, I have only ever had my order come out correct once of the 8 times I have been here. The food and coffee are quite good, but that is soured significantly by lack of accuracy and the attitude.

Tried to give them a second, third, fourth and fifth chance but every time Ive been to this specific location the drive through line takes a ridiculously long time to get through and they are always out of something every time I order. Its not even just the one item. By 9 it seems they are out of multiple items. It never fails and its a huge bummer.

I like this stores location, and Im a big fan of the brands. That said, its terrible. I went around 7:35 this morning (12/19/18) only to find the doors locked. Open sign was on, people were inside and there was lien at the drive-through. Eventually someone left and as I was going to walk in, he person leaving informed me that they just locked the doors because of how busy they were.They LOCKED the doors to keep out customers. Who does this???

Beyond disappointed. I would give zero stars if I could. I was so extremely excited to have this new location in Fitchburg as I love Einstein Bros Bagels. I attempted this morning and was asked to wait at the drive through, although there were no other cars in line and the lot did not have many cars in it. It was not an issue to me as it is a new location with new customers, new employees, and was worth the wait. So I thought.We ordered and sat at the window, and watched as three employees stood there and one was on her phone. Another lady then brought us our bag and said we were good to go yet we had not gotten our drinks yet. We explained that and they stood there confused, so I said that if they worked as a team and were not on their cells phones that everyone would be aware of what was going on and they would not have customers waiting.I then was told “I was working with other customers”... which wouldn’t have been an issue if she had not slammed the drive through widow proceeding that. I then asked to speak with a manager come to find out the woman who slammed the window door was the manager.If you’re working with other customers you should not be on your cell phone, and if you’re on your cell phone it should not be in the view of other customers especially behind the counter. This is how it goes at every coffee/food service I have been to and/or worked at.I was told, rudely, she could contact the district manager who would be in around ten.. and that if I didn’t show up they will surely hear about me. I hope they do because I’m disgusted with the service as the way I was treated this morning.I came in on my Sunday, for the very first time, and I will not be returning to this location. I spent $25 to watch employees stand around as I waited, and then had a MANAGER with a large attitude tell me she was “helping other customers” while being on a cell phone and the drive-window slammed while the rest of her team stood there. What a true leader.Overall very rude, disrespectful, and disappointing visit. I will not be returning. Thankfully I will not let this affect the way I view the company as a whole and will visit other locations. However, that is not how everyone will be and in the smaller town of Fitchburg.

With just the one driveway entrance and having to make a U-turn to get there makes this frustrating. Wish their parking lot connected to McDonalds. It would make Caribou more accessible.

I called to make a order that I usually do on Saturday mornings, but this time they told me that they dont pick up orders by phone.( It was just 2 chorizo sunrise bagels kids hot chocolate and 2 coffees). So went to the drive thru and I order the same exactly thing 10 min passed and nobody came to the window so I left, my daughter was really sad because this is the only place where she likes her coffee (hot chocolate) from.i didnt even pay or anything. It was just a waist of time.

I am up in the air with my rating. I have been to this location several times and usually dont have many issues. Well today, on a Saturday at 740, I entered the store to simply buy an UNtoasted bagel with cream cheese- nothing fancy. I left the store at 815. Over a half hour for a bagel? They were visibly short staffed, the manager was busting a** and the chick making the sandwiches must of been new because she was moving pretty slow and asking questions and then there was a dude that was useless, I saw him just walking around and not helping out much while there was a line out the door and the drive through 8 cars deep. I have noticed that the staff turns over a lot, which probably means they are making minimum wage, which is unfortunate... maybe if their employees were paid more then the turn over wouldnt be so high. Regardless I did wait over 30 minutes for an untoasted bagel with cream cheese.

The drinks and food are delicious and exceptionally made. This alone would be worthy of 5 stars if it wasn’t for the horrid inefficiency of the drive thru. Waiting 25 min for the 3 cars ahead of me all for my one espresso drink is just unacceptable. If this establishment wants my business, as a mom with 2 little ones I need it and the drive thru, they need to create a better system of handling the food orders. Please! Figure it out!

I would give this location negative stars if possible. It took me 18 minutes from entry to receive 12 uncut bagels—the world’s simplest order—and then only after I complained (cashier was taken aback when I did, which was amazing ... ). There was only 1 group ahead ahead of me in line, was only one person at the counter, and were only two people in the drive through, one of whom arrived after me. Store was filthy, employees slow and disorganized—and there were four of them so they should have been able to handle this trickle of business. The cashier seemed to be in capable of being of any assistance to her co-workers, randomly taking it containers she never refilled and doing absolutely nothing of use. Yet, she was overwhelmed for unknown reasons. The rest of them worked at the zen-like pace of a restorative yoga instructor. Avoid this location at all costs.

This corporate chain has cracked the code. Sit-down or drive-up, Bagels and Coffee couldnt be simpler. Love the vibe.

This place is one of mi favorite place tah get coffee and bagels mun. The people are always pleasant‘ kind and helpful. Amire is one of the servers that help mi as well as Mia . All the employees there are wonderful. The stuff there are delicious. Please visit this place and see wat I love so much about them.

Edit: The more permanent staff that was hired are doing a much better job with the wait times now, but you can still get a rush. The food and coffee are delicious, but the time spent waiting for your food and coffee can be anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour.

Every time I come to this location theres one person on the register and the other 9 people just watching them struggle on the register. Even after asking me 6 times and what my bagels were and 15 minutes later they still managed to give me the wrong stuff. How is a pen and paper the way you remember someones order when there is a computer sitting right in front of you. Training was definitely rushed here.

Parking lot and inside ordering set ups are not well thought out. Cant see the coffee of the day from the order line. Ordered a regular mocha, and the espresso flavor was below average as well as the overall quality. Also ordered shmearfuls (cream cheese-filled bite-size bagels) and were told any food would take 25 minutes. That wait time would be bordering on too long at a sit down restaurant, let alone a fast food place. Once we got them, they were varying temperatures and the cream cheese was curdled in at least half. Also, beware: their hours in the app say until 7pm each day, but the sign at the door says they close at 6pm.Overall this place wasnt horrible, of course, but everything is just a little wrong.

Were you hoping to enjoy an Einstein Bros Bagel Dog? Well you wont be enjoying it at this location. I wont be visiting this location for lunch again.

Meh. Best way to describe every experience I have had here. I was super excited for it to open up because its right by where I work. We have gone here several times due to the proximity, problem is.. everytime is a bit of a let down. My order is never right. Ever. I ask for no meat because I am vegetarian and they put meat anyway. I ask for no cheese and its slathered with cheese making it inedible for my friend who has a lactose allergy. The drive through is a night mare. Dont go if you are in a hurry because its at least 15 min wait even if you are the second car.Its a lack of training I think. They rushed through it to get the place open and should have taken a little more time to work out the bugs. The staff is nice enough but clueless. I will go back because its convenient but not when I am in a rush, and probably not again until they have had more time to fix the problems. Lets hope they read these reviews and actually do just that.

When a branch opened only a few blocks from our office, we tried ordering bagels from Einsteins instead of Panera. The staff like the selection of bagels and all the options for cream cheese flavors. I like that I can pick up our order at 6am, and its usually ready (we had problems with Panera running 10-20 minutes late). We have had problems with order accuracy, but Einsteins has offered to provide the missing items free of charge, plus they give us coupons for free meals as an apology. Panera would just say oops, sorry. We ordered fruit salad once, but it was very expensive for the amount of food.Ive never been there during regular business hours so I cant comment on the service; and since I have Celiacs, I cant speak to the food other than the cream cheese (love the salmon schmear!), but well keep using them for office meetings.

I love Carribou and I love Einsteins even more, but this location is so so so terrible. If you have the time to deal with the slow and rude staff then go for the food. Double check your order before leaving and whatever you do DONT go through the drive through. I went twice last week and once this week and my order was wrong EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!!!!! I definitely gave this place one too many chances...

Coffee is good, food is ok, service is atrocious. On numerous occasions my order has been messed up or delivered cold. I ordered an iced coffee with a little bit of cream and the coffee I received was white. It also takes a ridiculously long time to get your food. I once waited 20 mins for an untoasted bagel with cream cheese. The staff seems inattentive and the manager is incredibly rude at times. Once I went in and placed my order for an egg and cheese bagel. When I got it, it was an egg, sausage, and cheese bagel. I went back in to get my order corrected he offered to let me eat it while they made another. I told him I dont eat meat and he snidely replied You dont eat meat? Another time while I was waiting 20 minutes for my bagel, another customer came up to complain that hey had waited 30+ minutes for their order. His rude response was This doesnt help me. Turns out they had lost the order and had never made the 6 toasted bagels with cream cheese. In all this place is a mess. Its slow, disorganized, inconsistent, and generally unpleasant due to the Managers rudeness. Ive only come here as much as I have due to its proximity to my house. Im not sure Ill ever go back tho. Id rather drink Starbucks garbage coffee.

I have now made it a habit to stop through for lunch on my longer drives from the Milwaukee area to and from the Dubque area. I had never had a breakfast sandwich or any other kind of sandwich from either Einsteins or Caribou, but I was surprised at how good they are. Things run a bit slowly, but its new, so Im going to reserve judgement on speed until theyre been open for a while longer. But even when I came inside with my 3 kids under 3, the staff was kind and patient. Thanks for replacing my daughters smoothie after she spilled it!

Cmon. How do you go wrong? Unless you just run a terrible business.

I’ve been to this bagels numerous times & every time it takes at least 15 minutes (on a good day) for them to make me 1 bagel and an iced coffee. I honestly feel rly bad for the staff bc they’re horribly understaffed. The reason it takes so long is bc whoever is taking orders leaves all the time to go help make the food. They really just need more people so that like two people can take orders, four people can make the food, and one person can take drive thru orders. There’s usually only three employees there trying to take orders and all make the food. Plus it’s always super busy. The location also suuucks. But the food is good & the coffee’s rly good.

This place is trash. I’ve legitimately got coffee drinks that didn’t seem to have any coffee in them...Just Cups of hot milk. Rude employees

25 minutes for a bagel... thats redickulous. They cant get it together. Needs a NEW manager.

This place does not have accurate pricing on the menu and takes FOREVER. Unless you plan on waiting at LEAST 15 minutes through the drive up, even for a simple coffee, do not go here.

It probably took about 15 minutes to get delicious bagle.

Went inside on a slow Saturday morning. Stood in line for at least 5 minutes and no one even greeted me. Will not be going back.Advice: Go to Oasis Cafe instead and spend your money local.

New there Had bagels and coffee was good may go there again

Literally just waited 30 minutes in the drive thru to get two cups of coffee with only two cars ahead of us. Besides that the staff has attitude and is unapologetic about the long wait. The first time we were here I ordered a coffee with a shot of espresso. When they called my order they called it a depth charge and were extremely rude because I didn’t know the lingo. I will not be going here again.
