When I went to do a test drive and before we even went out to start the vehicle Javan disclosed to me that the instrument cluster intermittently cuts out which it did not do during the test drive. Total honesty on Javans part. He took care of getting the part pulled sent off and repaired and it works great now. If you are looking for a vehicle German auto house is where you should start. I went in to look at a Land Rover but the experience was not good. First thing when my husband and I pulled in we watched a guy back into a huge van. Then the guy that hit the van wouldn’t move forward so he blocked us in the driveway. I had an appointment but no one was helping us. Finally someone helped us and they were really rude. All of the people were rude. Went for a test drive and the guy couldn’t even tell us if the car was all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive. The sales person was not personable or helpful what so ever.

Well where to begin, they ride with you during the test drive and he tells you where to go, and you feel like you are in drivers education again, he rushed us, we wanted to look the car over, he was pushy, and when I pointed out things that were wrong, he was like what do expect, the car is used ! Instead of offering to fix it. Plus the car was dirty, sticky etc. Not at all like pictures, not very impressed. Just felt very rushed, and we couldn’t look it over and like he didn’t want us to look it over. So I passed on it. Very crowded Lot, gravel for driveway! What ever happened to good customer service !

Just purchased a 2016 Ford Transit cargo van for our business. All the staff at German Auto were extremely friendly and professional. The vehicle is just what we needed and Javan even worked with us after the deal was done to make sure we didnt have any issues with the van. He took the time to troubleshoot a couple issues over the phone when most other dealers wouldnt have bothered. Overall the vehicle is in pristine shape and we got a great deal. My wife was buying a used Outback from a nearby dealer and I was in the market for a used WRX so I was excited to see Germain Auto house had a 2010 on the lot for a good price. We drove to Madison and I had my wife drop me off while she picked up her car. There was only a woman in the office who was not a sales person but she was very nice, closed the office up and went on a test drive with me. Having come from a 2005 with the the 2.0L the 2.5l in the 2010 had me immediately hooked until I hit the highway and the car had a shake. I noticed the TPMS light was on so stopped the test drive right off the highway and the salesperson was in when we got there. We chatted for awhile and he was generally personable but not exactly helpful and when I mentioned the shake he did not offer to properly inflate the tires to prove it was that. Despite this I really liked the car but I realized that I did not have enough drivers to drive two new cars home if my wife and I both bought a car and we had to get the car we came in home also. No problem, they have a reasonably priced delivery service and the delivered price was still about blue book, but I would need to sign a purchase agreement with a refundable deposit while I was there if I wanted to go this route. I think everyone can guess what happened next. I was an idiot and signed the agreement and put down my credit card. When I got home and thought about it and shopped around for a while I realized I did not want to take a chance on a shaky car and I bought a 2017 WRX somewhere else. I remembered I had a $500 deposit on my credit card when I looked at my statement months later and called German auto house. He asked “Did I tell you it was refundable?” but took my card info and said he would look into it. The charge is still there of course. So yup, I’m stupid and let a few extra HP effect my judgement and this used car dealer is a bit shady.

Conscientious auto repair shop! Car dealerships told me to replace my break pads, so I came to this auto shop to replace them. German auto house conscientiously told me that I had enough room left on my pads that break pad replacement was not recommended. I am glad that I did not get ripped off by the car dealerships!

I had my 2014 corolla scratched seriously. I went several body shops to request quotes. This shop has quoted least price and I decided to repair my car here. After repair, I was fully satisfied with the work. The car become fresh just before the scratch. Still, there is no problem on the scratched spot since six month have passed. Test drove a vehicle here. When asked to pop the hood to take a look at the engine he acted weird. Stood there with me all awkward and quiet while I looked at the engine. Vehicle way overpriced vs. KBB and other sources. Mentioned this to owner and he was dismissive, rude, and wouldnt even look me in the eye or get up from his desk to come out to talk to me about it. Seems like your typical shady used car salesman to me.RESPONSE: No thanks, buddy. I learned everything about you and your dealership that I need to know on my first visit. The vehicle was priced several thousand above KBB, CarGurus, and NADA. One of the doors wouldnt even open. Then you were waaaaay more smarmy in person than your response here seems to show.

Stopped on a Saturday to look at a QX56. Drove 2 hours. No one would come outside so I left and bought one from a different dealership. Staff was outside smoking around the back but still no one would come talk to us. Seemed shady anyway. I wouldn’t recommend this dealership.

I had an amazing experience with this dealer - I like to give the full details below to help others shopping for a car. First, I must admit that I have had a very negative opinion about car dealers, especially after another very well-known dealer in town had tried to cheat me for my previous car purchase 5-6 years ago, I ran away and never considered buying from a dealer again. However, when you want to buy a $20K+ and relatively low mileage not very old car, you have to go with dealers as craigslist does not have any such cars sold by owner.German Autohouse eliminated all of my prejudices on dealers. The owner is very honest and is not trying to cheat you. Below are my experiences:- I was originally planning to buy a Lexus (2015+ GS350/ES350/LS460) for about $30K. He had a newer model LS and GS on lot but the owner (to my great surprise) listened to my needs and expectations from a car, and he literally suggested to me to consider buying the cheaper option (2010 LS very low mileage) around $21K. Woow- the guy could have made more money because I was so obsessed to buy the expensive/newer one but he noticed that I did not really need the more expensive car. To me, this is the most important thing for anyone in business who wants to stay long-term, try to listen to customers and respond to their needs.- The prices at German Autohouse were very reasonable. I compared the price of the car that I got from them and it was at least $2000 cheaper compared to other similar cars and it was in excellent shape. They got some great cars, low mileage and in excellent shape.- The owner is unbelievably knowledgeable on cars, I have never met/seen anyone like him - he knows pretty much everything about the cars and that makes you very comfortable about buing. For Lexus, I read many websites, car forums, and in 15 minute conversation with him, I noticed that he knew pretty much everything i read for days if not weeks and again he never tried to deceive me, he frankly told most potential problems that could occur with the car and what would be repair cost.- Trade-in: Another good experience, he paid a fair price for my old car, in fact, I dont think that I would be able to make the same money that he offered me for trade-in if i sold it myself. This is another place where dealers often make a lot of money but the owner was very fair.- There is a 90-day warranty, I did not need it so far (and i hope not) but it is good to know that. i think this is standard for all dealers so nothing special here.- I was told that they also have a repair shop (I havent seen it) and if I have any major issues, I could contact them and they can help me with repairs. this was a pleasant surprise to me I did not need it yet but woow, in Nextdoor forums, many neighbors ask for mechanic suggestions. I suggest go ahead and buy your car from this place and dont worry about Lexus/BMW/Mercedes dealer ripping you off for simple repairs.In summary, I had an amazing experience with German AutoHouse, literally transformed my opinion about dealers. And by the way, after 2 weeks of driving the 2010 Lexus LS, I am glad that he made me change my mind - this car is really great and perfect for my needs.

The vehicle has a broken taillight cover full of condensation. Upon discussing this safety concern with the owner before purchase he stated that he would fix the problem. This was reiterated the day of pick up as he was not there and problem not fixed. No return call. We stopped in 11/14 to speak directly. Not there. Showed to staff who was present at the sale. No return call. 11/16 we sent an email directly to time stamp. Call back from Javon he stated he already gave us “such a good” deal that he would not repair or replace the cover. We spoke during negotiation that he said he would “of course” fix this safety concern. However, now would not. I could not believe my ears...the repair was never negotiated in the final sale price. Javon stated that once I drove it off the lot he would not honor his word.I am a Husband, Father, Madisonian and now advocate to ensure you, the car buyer, do not make the same mistake.This is my first and only experience with this type of crookery in any vehicle purchase.Once you leave the lot they will NOT take care of you.Respectfully,DC

Most any place you go to see cars, you find out as soon as you try to learn something about them that nobody in the whole dealership really knows anything, or cares. Javan does know, from the details of luxury cars you wont find in the manual, to useful insights on what car issues matter, and the best way to fix them, such as he has for me when working on a trade-in, and on a purchased car. You wind up saving a lot of money, getting the job done right, and being very happy you met Javan.I have a great mechanic, and I like him a lot. Ive known him for ten years, and hes owned his own shop for much longer. But Javan and his mechanic are every bit as on the ball, even more clever when it comes to smart fixes, and cost less. Much less.When you go to German Auto House, there is no pressure. You are presented with every option, so that you can make a fully informed decision, but your decision belongs to just you. You can look at many cars, or only two or three, drive them, look at their complete CarFax, even take them to your mechanic. If you are serious, Javan is serious, and just as good at doing business as he is with the cars themselves. Better, even -- I dont know how he gets such good cars, with such a great ownership history, and in so many in such excellent condition!You look around for used cars, and you discover some things. One large used car outlet, which rhymes with CarFax, seems to sell only cars that have a lien against them, and have very poor maintenance histories (those two seem to go together). Dealers may have good finds, but they charge too dang much for what they offer. Craigslist is interesting, but full of crazy people, and you never really know what youre getting. Javan, interestingly, can tell you something about the history of every car, and can back it up with documentation. I dont think he makes much on a given sale, but I think he makes it back in loyalty and word-of-mouth. Which has got to mean hard work, but that is what he does. I have never seen anyone do it better.Javans style is plainspoken -- what a relief! Hell answer your question with the actual answer. And, it is the truth; when you work with him you find out that the only way he does business is truthfully, because nothing else makes sense. If you are in the market to actually buy a car, well, it is hard to imagine anyone better to do business with.I have traded in, and I have purchased, and I am now on the way to a second purchase from German Auto House. I have had bad times and good times at a dozen car dealerships over the years, but except for my mechanic and for Javan, I have never worked with anyone on a car or car purchase who I ever came to truly respect. This is why I am buying from Javan, again.

3 years ago I found these guys from Craigslist. I bought 2007 Acura TL S from them. It was a great vehicle. It served me well for 3 years. This year I went to back to them to get a different car. They did not carry what i wanted so the owner Javan,very friendly guy, told me that he can find whatever i need in two weeks. Finally last week I just got my 2013 Lexus GS with 30k miles on it for very good price. Also they helped me with financing. Its great to deal with the owner of business directly. There is no sales person, there is no pushy middle man who tries to sell you something which you dont like. Also he gave me 90 days no payment option, which means that my payments will start after 3 months. Overall I am very satisfied with German Auto House.

I have been a customer of German Auto House for 4 years now. I have purchased my two vehicles from them and referred a family member to purchase their vehicle. When I purchased my first vehicle from them (a 2007 VW Passat) they made sure this was the right car for my needs and I really appreciated that coming from the owner. The owner genuinely, took my requests into consideration and made sure I was satisfied with my purchase. Most recently, I needed to buy a vehicle for my wife and purchased a 2011 VW Jetta that runs like new. I decided to go back to them because of the great experience I had when I bought my first car. The owned knows a lot about all kinds of vehicles, specially Imported ones and takes great care of the cars before putting them up for sale. The fact that these guys sell only quality imports, gave me and my wife peace of mind that we were getting a very good car that can last for a long time, even though is a used car. As long as this guys are in business, I will continue to refer my family and friends to them because of the great experience I have had with them.
