Paid for two new axles with axle nuts and I received two used axles in very bad shape one axle didnβt even fit the vehicle we ordered it for One of the axles as you can see in the picture we shared had salvage yard writing on it.Then you reply back to my One star rating and comment trying to act like I never made a purchase through you out of the π― purchases I have made but I also have screenshots and posted pictures of my receipts from your company.
After a mix up with an order, I spoke with Alexa at Detroit Axle and she was very professional and provided outstanding service. Im a repeat customer and as long as I keep getting service like this, I will continue to purchase from Detroit Axle. You will have a hard time finding a quality product at these prices.
I ordered parts on Amazon to try and fix my girlfriends car and we got the wrong parts so I tried to return them and they sent us more parts that donβt even work for her car. Trying to return these extra parts that they sent us. We called customer service and got nothing but attitude and rudeness. We asked to talk to a supervisor and they said that they didnβt have one, and kept asking for more information.
UPDATE: The response below is to call their customer service line. Sorry, the customer service line was not able to help get the shipment out the door. All the replies to complaints are just a show to make them look like they are trying to resolve the issue.Monday morning 8/16/21 an order was placed for two CV Axles and two lower ball joints. When the order was placed, the parts were in stock so I was hopeful that these would get out soon. The next morning, Tuesday, I wake up and see that there was a shipping label created. The package was tracked and the UPS website said to check back tomorrow for an expected delivery date. Wednesday morning I check and there is no delivery date. Wednesday night, there is no delivery date. Understandably, UPS will not give a delivery date until they pick up the package. So, at this point, I am wondering if they picked up my package. Thursday morning there is no delivery date available I call Detroit Axle to ask about my shipment. He recognizes right away that it has not shipped so he sends a message to put a priority on the order. Thursday night, no expected delivery date. Now, there is an assumption that I am making here. I assume that they print the shipping label after they have the parts in a box. It would be crazy to print a label and initiate that communication to the customer prior to the parts being packaged and ready for shipment. Somewhere, there is a box with my stuff that I paid for. This box has a label on it, but it has NEVER been scanned by UPS. So, I am left to wonder what their shipping dock looks like. Maybe they ship SO MANY packages that there are boxes all over the place. Perhaps my box is hiding behind a trash can somewhere. Possibly, someone wanted to use my box for a foot rest at their desk.Whatever the situation, Detroit Axle was not able to get my package out between 3:00am Tuesday Morning when the label was created to 8:30am Friday morning when I called to cancel the order.Hopefully I get my refund. The person on the phone said they would order the refund when they confirm it didnt ship. If they cannot see a box to put it on a truck, how can they see that box to know it did not ship????Unfortunately, I will not be ordering from Detroit Axle anymore. I have some struts from them that are really good. But this experience tells me that, while their products may be good, the company is not that reliable.
Absolutely horrible customer service. I ordered a bake kit for my 08 jeep and only received the front rotors and rear pads. My order showed 2 tracking numbers but when I tried to track my order,, one kept saying no info found.. I emailed customer service and they stated I should receive everything on the one tracking number. After I only received a partial shipment,I called customer service and was told my other rotors were not in stock thats why they there tracking was canceled. They offered me a partial refund which was less than half. I did not receive the brake fluid or cleaner advertised with the kit as well. Very poor business practice, I will never buy Detroit Axle products again or recommend them.
I placed an order on October 21st, with an estimated delivery time of 3-5 business days for a remanufactured rack&pinion. Its been 2 weeks later and a customer service rep tells me each time I call that theyll put an expedited tag on my order and If I need to make sure that the FedEx tracking info updates, to call back in 24 hours. On November 3rd, I officially called to cancel my order and the rep I spoke to explained to me that the rack&pinion was never remanufactured and that they actually have issues finding the components to rebuild the Rack&Pinion. Previous to this rep, I was under the impression that they were expediting my FedEx shipment because the part was already ready to be shipped out. Customer service reps claiming to call a shipping department and lie about the availability of parts is unheard of to me and Ive worked in the Auto Repairs business for more than 5 years. Thats garabage customer service etiquette. Now Im waiting another 24-48 hours in order to wait for my order to be officially canceled, then I was instructed to call back in, in order to process my refund. 0 stars if that was possible.
Horrible company. Will find any reason to not refund your money. They sent me the wrong order and refuse to refund my money. STAY AWAY
I order a set of 4 Detroit axle wheel bearing and hub assembly on Feb 18, 2021 and recieved them on Feb 23, 2021 and had them installed middle of March 2021 along with all new brake pad and all new rotors also all new brake caliper assembly and brand new rims that cost me about 3 thousand, now I have a scratch on my rim from when it snap off, I only had these wheel bearing and hub on for 5 1/2 months and about 1 month out of the 5 month its been giving me a problem so I was told I had warranty on them so I Called Detroit Axle today and spoke with someone and he ask for order number and other information so I told him everything and the customer service staff member confirmed everything and said there was warranty for the wheel bearing and hub assembly, but its going to be $77 dollar plus tax, so why am I paying $77 if Im covered with the warranty which dont make any sense because I can buy a brand new one for about $45 with free shipping, Im not paying yall double the price it cost especially when I have warranty on them very poor service and false advertisement, you guys are a bunch of scammers, very disappointed in the service i received today especially when I bought tons of parts from you guys over the years and I have all the receipt to prove it, this will be my last time buying from Dextroit Axle.
Was conducting research on repair parts for my Honda Odyssey. Came across Detroit Axle and was curious. Started looking at the many reviews and while there are a good number of positive reviews and comments the negative reviews and comments were of major concern for me. Problems concerning everything from shipping issues, damaged goods, quality of parts, warranty, customer service, no replies, company accountability, and canned responses to customer problems and questions raises a bunch of red flags for me. I dont want to worry about anything after they have my money. Really to bad as I have a number of friends that could benefit from a reliable and accountable auto parts company.
Updated: Order placed for shocks on 8/20, 3 day shipping. I was notified by email on the 21st my order was complete. It has been 19 days and my item has not shipped. I have only made contact by phone, they have not responded to any emails. It was supposedly shipping Friday, but it did not. Now they say Wednesday. I am fearful it will never ship at this point. Not pleased, they are the ones who give me the estimated shipping time and can not abide by their own promises. It seems this business was happy to take my money but does not communicate or send products as promised. Very very disappointing. So I called the company at the phone number below and also the customer service line. I cannot reach anyone at the number below, there is no voicemail. The number rings several times and then it drops the call. Their customer service is the only actual person Ive been able to talk to. The customer service employee told me today that they have re escalated my order. Im not exactly sure what this means but I can say my item still has never shipped. Time to call the credit card company and cancel the order I guess. I do not believe this is a real company, seems like a scam to me.
Got a complete brake package all in one for an amazing price. They didnt have the rotors so they gave me upgraded rotors for no extra charge. Great place with excellent staff.
So I purchased Tie Rod ends from this company and they managed to send me 2 different sized ones which is a clear mistake on their end. I try to contact them for a fair resolution and they offered a 30% return without the shipping charges included to return the item for their mistake. Im leaving this review so that the community knows what a scamming company this is, and also Miguel, who attended me on the phone, was extremely rude and disrespectful when its his job to handle returns fairly in the department. I will never purchase from this company again, and I have my bank currently disputing the transaction internally to return the funds to me for the FULL purchase since they refused to give me a proper resolution in the matter. Dont waste your time with these people, you get what you pay for with this company, and yes, it was the cheapest youll ever find.
Bought an entire front end through Detroit Axle . I but literally 250 miles on the new parts and a lower ball joint snapped and caused an accident with my Jeep on the way home to Michigan for a funeral. This one ball joint caused almost $3000 in damages and a massive tow bill in the middle of Chicago. When I contacted Detroit axle they offered $20 off on shipping for new parts and had no interest in what this event had done to their probably life long customer. This comes down to what is right for a company to do. I am not asking for anything major, just a little help here. Unfortunately the supervisor at Detroit Axle didnt care at all about anyones personal situation.
I was very worried ordering from Detroit axle after seeing some of the reviews but I was in need of a steering rack bad, and for ballpark $140 I had to shoot for it no matter what. it took a week for it to actually ship, no biggie I didnt mind waiting. when I received my rack and pinion it was in good shape, packaged well, and with no damage to the actual unit. Im very thankful that I was not the receiving end of a mishap. customer service could use slight improving, and a on hand quantity feature is much needed on the website so people dont buy something without realizing there will be a wait. Ill consider buying from Detroit Axle again in the future. Thank you for helping me get my car back on the road
I have a 2014 RAM 1500 4WD and I bought a steering rack and front CV axles. Within 1000 miles The new steering rack is knocking when I turn.. and both CV axles have cracked rubber boots and are leaking grease, and are knocking when you turn corners. Run (dont walk) away from Detroit Axle. It will cost me over $1000 in labor to replace these parts, even if there is a warranty. These parts should let 100,000 miles.
Will never purchase from them again i was sent a defective rack and pinion and the only way they will exchange or give me my money back is if i take it to a machanice shop pay more money just to get an invoice it should have been fully inspected befor being sent out to me highly disappointed
I do not recommend this outlet for brake parts. Rotor and pad kit lasted less than 2 years. 18,000 miles and grinding. Not a caliper problem both sides were worn out. Tried to get new parts under warranty. Extremely poor customer service!! Shuffled around phone number after phone number, and finally told I would have to go back to the store to talk to someone. They could not give me a phone number to reach the store!!
BUYER BEWARE. Had to do the job 4 times due to bad parts.Purchased parts from this company... Parts were poorly packaged and were damaged during shipping due to manufacturers lack of packaging. When the parts arrived only one was visually damaged, took them over 3 weeks to replace.... By the time the replacement part arrived and I was able to do the installation and find out the second part I had ordered (which was not visually damaged but was damaged mechanically) was no good, their 30 day return window had expired. So, I had to pay for the shipping on a warranty replacement for another part. After this experience as a first time buyer with this company, I wouldnt recommend them.I should say, that Im still waiting on the last replacement as of now... Started this process in the middle of July, and its now August 30th.IN RESPONSE TO DETROIT AXLES RESPONSE:I called that number (which is general customer service), and have been awaiting your return phone call (which was supposed to be 15-20 minutes) for over an hour. I spoke with someone who said they needed to check the availability of my part... This whole thing has turned into a circus at this point.
Ordered complete brakes and struts through Amazon on 6/7/21 as it said in-stock shipping same day and would arrive by 6/10/21. On 6/9/21 I receive an envelope with a note saying Please be advised that due to the logistical impact of Covid-19, your order will arrive within 2 to 4 business days. Enclosed is a 10% coupon as a token of our appreciation. Please retain this and use towards your next purchase. Thank you for your business. After the 4 business days passed I still didnt have parts. The tracking number for the note that was sent was uploaded to Amazon so when I contacted them they understood the parts to be delivered. I needed to wait for the seller to respond. Detroit Axle rep responded on 6/16/21 and said I have sent a require to our warehouse to push the order thorugh, once it is shipped and we have an update I will go ahead and forward to you. I told them thank you for the response but unless my parts are already shipped I expect a refund. It is fradulent to give Amazon a tracking number for the note they delivered in order to appear to meet shipping times when they NEVER shipped the parts. If you dont care when you get the parts they do seem to have great prices. But if you want the parts delivered by some date, look elsewhere.
Iβve had the worse experience with this company Iβm shock on how shady they are about their warranty process. I purchased a front end suspension kit through eBay with a 10 year warranty. I called to warranty some loose parts they couldnβt find my information I had to called eBay to get transactions# called back they still couldnβt find it. Eventually they found it through my email address after giving it to them the third guy I got lucky everyone their speaks English as their third language. Found it and they could see the ten year warranty just like eBay could see it but they Detroit axle tells me that the warranty is incorrect and a supervisor would have to contact me. No return call I waited a week call back they want me to show them the confirmation email from 4 years ago. Like I still have a email from 4 years ago. Tried filling dispute with eBay but eBay canβt file disputes that far back. This company lied to me when I made my purchase and they will not honor the warranty they sold me. Purchase item April 2017 they claim they didnβt start the warranty till September 2017. This is a big shady company and Iβll be honest the parts look very poor in quality. Tie rods are super skinner the ball joint boots started cracking in the first summer. Prices are cheap but itβs for a reason. If you have a junker car this is perfect but if you have a vehicle you plan on keeping I highly recommended staying away from Detroit axles parts and I will tell all my friends and family my experience with this shady company..
Question-I bought a 2008 Lexus ES 350 rack and pinion with outer tie rods from yall off of amazon. My car got totaled before I was able to repair car. Will yall be able to take back part and refund me? I never even took it out of the box. I understand there is a shipping charge that I am willing to deduct. I am tired of looking at it in my house. I hope you are able to.
I bought a transmission from Detroit axle on June 10th. They shipped a broken transmission that I had to send back to them. They shipped another transmission that was obviously defective 3 weeks later. I had to send this transmission back to them as well. During the shipment back to Detroit, the freight company they use T Force Freight claimed to have lost the transmission. They refuse to refund my purchase until they get the transmission back. Its very convenient that I tracked the transmission to Detroit where it conveniently is missing now. I spent $1500 on the transmission and they have no intention to rectify the problem. If you are not physically in the Detroit area and need your parts sent by freight it is a huge risk to use this company. They will not rectify any issue!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO SHIP PARTS!!!!!! I learned a $1500 lesson from them
I bought a driveshaft from them on Amazon. They guaranteed the fit when I provided the information they asked for, 04 Ram 1500 3.7L automatic transmission, so I bought the part from them. When it came in and my mechanic went to put it on it was in fact not the correct part. When I returned it they charged a $30 restock fee plus $13 return shipping, I was notified I would have to pay the return shipping so that is fine. I dont feel the customer should be penalized for the companys mistake. 100% would not buy anything from Detroit Axle again.Update: It appears they are more worried about their image on Google than actually doing right by their customers. They decided to respond here rather than responding to my message through Amazon. Pathetic company.
Well, heres another bad business practice from Detroit Axle. I ordered parts (rotors and Pads) for my vehicle, 13 Nissan Maxima, on 9 July 21, and they sent the wrong parts. Not just wrong, but if you look at the brake pads, one is defective. After calling customer support (Rodrigo), he stated I would have to pay $30.00 to return the wrong defective parts, not going to do that.Update: I was contacted by Mr. Estroberto from Detroit Axle and he promised a refund after product was returned. Full refund issued by Detroit Axle.
I bot a rebuilt transmission for a town and country. When first put it in, the pan cover was leaking. Took it off and realized they put very little or any at all silicone on the cover. I thought not a big deal, I put a silicone to seal it. Then later, the gear cover is leaking. I have to drop the frame to have access to that (big job) and found out they didnt put any silicone at all. It was metal to metal. Of course, it will hold for a while until it doesnt. Who knows why they did not use silicones or do things properly.Contacted them, they said why do you fix it and they cant warranty anything because it is not the transmission and you already fixed it. They essentially turned it around and trying to make it my fault that I fixed their mistake to begin with. totally poor workmanship and poor customer service if any.My view is, who doesnt use silicone when rebuilding engine or transmission. It is totally rebuilt defect and poor workmanship.Attached the pic of one of the covers (back gear cover), you can see the seam has no silicone at all and it is dropping.UPDATE: They asked me to call them because of this review. After the call, I realized they have no intention to resolve this. It is just a response to make them look better. So, they said we could have sent you another one. The fact is if they do that, they will incur $300-400 on shipping and Ill have to incur another $700-1000 to put the transmission in/out. So, the total cost would be $1400 alone. But they wont reimburse the few hundred for labor. They said we could have sent you the needed part which is the silicon. What a joke. That tells you they were never going to do anything to help to begin with.
Detroit Axle has stolen money from me and will not refund or replace my missing parts. UPS lost part of my shipment and Detroit Axle has done nothing to help. They are one of the worst companies Iβve ever dealt with. I ordered on 8/23, itβs now 9/21 and I still donβt have parts or a refund. As you can see theyβve responded but failed to let you know they flat out told me they would not refund my money on the phone just an hour ago.Called this morning on 9/22 and they are still refusing to refund my money unless I close the case against them on eBay. I will not do so until I have a refund. Buyers beware!! Iβll keep updating as I am given more details.Update: called 9/24 and was told my refund was 389.06 and would be in my account in 24-48 hours. Itβs now 9/27 and still no refund. Currently sitting on hold now and being told my refund amount is ZERO..I canβt begin to describe the amount of hate I have for this company. I canβt believe they are in business..Update: Ordered my missing parts from another company and they arrived to my door quicker than my refund from Detroit Axleβ¦ still waiting for refundβ¦
UPDATE 10/6/2021 2:19PM: I HAVE INFACT SPENT 300 PLUS DOLLARS ON YOUR PRODUCT AND CAN REASSURE ANYONE READING THIS POST THAT THIS COMPANY ARE EMPLOYEES BY SCAM ARTIST WHO STEALS CUSTOMERS MONEY.This company operates off of complete scam artist tactics and they will provide you with incorrect information. Once you buy there product there is no chance of a refund even if the item is broken or not. I received the wrong parts and broken items in my package, once I initiated a refund procedure I was basically told my upper management that they will be keeping my parts and my money. Save yourself the trouble and order from rockauto.com if you need any quality auto parts!
I ordered from Detroit Axle over 10 years ago and had a bad experience. The quality of their parts are really cheap, I purchased struts that only lasted almost 6 months. At that time they were only offering 6 month warranties so I exchanged them for a new pair right before the warranty ended. The second set ended up going out before the next 6 months and I was unable to swap them out because I couldnt find my copy of the receipt. They kept their own copies and also at the time would put your info in the computer under the warranty. When I tried to return they didnt except and claimed they no longer keep records in their computer system. Their parts are cheaply made and do not last so all these reviews I believe except for the 5 stars thats probably their own people. I will never step a foot in that place. Some folks will have to find out the hard way cause they will ignore all the bad reviews. I see them on Amazon and scroll right pass. Never
Ordered front shocks for F-150. A little slow to ship out but am happy with the product. Hope it lasts
UPDATE!: After calling the guy who comments on all of these reviews, NOTHING CHANGED!!! Not only that I was told the new part they would ship me would only have a 30 day warranty on it, despite me paying for the lifetime warranty on the part. THIS IS A SHADY COMPANY!!!! Take your business elsewhere!!! NAPA and RockAuto might be a little more expensive, but it is NOT WORTH IT to deal with these incompetent people!!!!I purchased a rack and pinion assembly for my vehicle. It failed in less than 5 months. I wanted them to exchange the part. They said I would have to pay $80 for a warranty $15 for shipping and 75% of the price of the part for a deposit (they said this would be returned). So in total they wanted me to pay $180+ for a part that sells new on their website (tax and shipping included) for $174 to replace the part they sold me that failed in less than 5 months. All I want is the WORKING part I paid for originally!!!
But all my parts from Detroit Axle for all Five of my vehicles π Three Full size Trucks and Two cars. Never had a problem with these guys. Keep up the Great work ladies and Gents. Class Act ππΊπΈ
Absolutely horrible company wish i could give zero stars! Iv order in the past had good experiences not this time i ordered 2 wheel hub assemblys for my acadia they sent 1 tried to call no answer no return call emailed twice showing proof they only shipped me 1 assembly they charged me for 2 no response from them on where my other assembly is it was never shipped! My next call is the BBB they literally stole my money!
Ordered a front suspension kit for my 2003 Honda Odyssey form Amazon, kit arrived quickly. Unfortunately it was not my order and was not parts for a Honda. Took several phone calls to get that resolved and about a month later I had the correct parts. In June I finally got around to working on my van only to discover that one of the sway bar links was bent right out of the box. So I called again only to be informed they would exchange it with shipping at my cost. Will never order from these people again.
If you dont mind sending back the defective parts and paying for shipping costs and waiting for the parts to come then this is the place for you. Everything Ive bought from this place I had to replace within 3 to 6 months. They messed up my original order. I wish I had read the reviews I would have never bought anything from Detroit Axle. Its almost like they know the parts are trash.
I heard once that the taste of sweet price can be undone by the bitterness of poor service. I found a part at a good price and ordered it in plenty of time to complete my project on the time frame I had. UPS lost my package, which is no fault of Detroit Axle, but they could have stepped up to offer a replacement while UPS spent their time looking. But they would much rather service the needs of their carrier than their customer. Exceedingly poor service. I ended up spending twice as much at a local shop but would do it again because of the service. I will pass on this review to every single person I know so they can do business with a company that actually cares about the customer.
Very nice people, but the warranty is not worth beans if you are a DIY mechanic. For the warranty to be any good, you must take your vehicle to a licensed shop and they must state that the parts need to be replaced. Before the warranty is any good. So much for that. :(
These bad reviews tells my story.. Horrible customer service, evertime I come Im sitting waiting countless times even if order placed. No real help with issues told part was here and get here and not here.Mr. manager dont reply to this with a number asking yo help me, if u couldnt help while Im here surely u wont help if Im gone..
Great place. Friendly people working there. No problem getting parts I needed.
I ordered 4 shocks for my 2003 Ford super duty. Detroit Axle was the seller on eBay where I purchased the shocks. When the package arrived I noticed it felt awfully light. I was sent only 2 out of the 4 shocks and have not been able to return or get a refund for my incomplete order. Detroit Axle is a joke and if you care about your hard earned money then I suggest buying parts from someone else.
Shipping was quick and free but the quality not so much. I called and asked questions before I ordered and was insured that my upper control arm ball joints would have grease fittings. They did not. The boots for the lower control arm ball joints arrived torn. Calling customer service all they would do is replace the damaged part. Cheaper than A1 auto but not convinced the service is better.
Ordered a lower control arm, part didnt arrive until 3 days after I was told it would arrive, I sent the part back immediately upon arrival since I had already gotten a different one, and Detroit axle refused to refund my money without my confirmation number (it was on my old phone which broke) they could just as easily look it up via on their computer via my name address etc and see they sent it out and it was immediately returned and they should have all the information they need
No number for the store front, and the customer service line does not have it. This wouldnt be an issue if the online listed hours were correct.Edit: For the response provided, that is the customer service line which could not help me in the first place. That was a useless response. One thing that could help would be a number to the actual storefront to verify they arent closing early and save my commute time there and back. Not to mention the part I was given in the first place was not correct for the car I requested it for. This has been an incredibly unprofessional, time wasting experience.
These negative reviews are all 100% correct. This company really doesnβt care about its customer. Only shipped out 3 of the 6 components and had no intention of sending out the other 3 unless I called. Then they wanted me to take down my negative review because they refunded my moneyβ¦ what a joke! These guys will never be anything more than a cheap parts provider always trying to get one over on the customer. The lack of service is a joke. I will also be submitting a complaint to Amazon for their terrible service. They knowingly only shipped out 3 of 6 parts and knowingly didnβt tell Amazon. What a scam! Please stay away from these guys and do yourself a favor, order local because you will regret ordering from these guys
Ordered rotors and pads all the way around. Received four front rotors. Emailed customers service to no reply. Called customer service and they told me once they receive the two extra front rotors theyll send me the rear. I explained this weekend is my only time off until the end of next month. Ill send the rotors and they can send me the replacements. The opperator laughed and said they will not send them without receiving the return first. Last time I order from Detroit Axle. Its sad as I bought from this company because theyre based out of Michigan. I guess I learned my lesson.
Ordered a rear set of brake pads and rotors for my 2015 dodge grand caravan from this company through eBay. Shipping was quick enough but the product did not fit my vehicle. Looked back at the product specifications and I realized I ordered for the wrong year vehicle. I started communication with the shop through eBay and got my exchange started, but it took forever to complete because of some tech who labeled my exchange as wheel hubs and pads, no rotors somehow. After weeks of electronic communication I finally was able to call them and tell them my VIN and some vehicle info for my replacement parts. After receiving the parts I proceeded to take my vehicle and parts to a professional mechanic and my pads and rotors dont fit. This has been a 2 month process and I am now outside my return/exchange window. Very disappointed I will never order car parts online ever again, including from this company.
When I bought a transmission for my truck the money immediately came out of my account, but I didnβt hear anything from these guys for several days. I finally called and they said they needed a vin number and that my transmission would have to be built. I donβt know how long they would have made me wait if I hadnβt called. Transmission took 4 weeks to build. When it arrived the oil pan was severely damaged and had to be replaced because it was leaking. They gave me a 25$ credit for this. My mechanic installed the transmission only to find out that park doesnβt work. The truck will literally just start rolling away. Have been getting the run around for over a week now about replacing the transmission. I havenβt had my truck for almost 2 months now because of this company. This is a terrible company with terrible customer service. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM DETROIT AXLE!!!!
I have ordered twice without an issue. The first kit was a drive axel and wheel bearing kit for my 2000 Chevrolet blazer 4wd-4door . The second kit was a upper control arm and ball joint kit.The parts were well packaged and appeared to be good quality.Axles and hubs have been on about a year and the control arms are ball joints a week . All work good.As a former master mechanic, I was well pleased with the parts BUT ALWAYS REMEMBER TO INVESTIGATE YOUR PART FIRST and make sure it is correct. Its to easy to get the wrong part . I have order dozens of parts from online and my send back parts is no more than a brick and mortar store that gave me the wrong part.
Purchased 2 vehicles worth of brakes from these people. They lasted less then 10k miles and Im told they can only warranty 1 set and then even though its a 10 year warranty. Was run around for 6 months to get that one warranty set and then had to spend $70 to have them shipped to me. Will never buy from them again and i warn everyone else not to order from them.
I called Detroit Axle directly to ask if I could walk in to buy a couple of rotors instead of ordering online. The call was handled by sales line representative Paul aka Pablo. The prices are the best Ive found. The customer service is unusual, in a positive way!!! Paul was so helpful and courteous that I decided to buy more than I initially intended to. He went out of his way to make sure I was fully satisfied! He handled the call as if he was the owner of the company!!! What I mean is, he reminded me more than once that I was the reason that the company existed. He talked highly about the company and especially the owner of the company. By the end of the call, I felt absolutely confident that I was spending my money with a company that truly cares about their customers! That said, that alone is so rare these days and for that I wlll definitely recommend Detroit Axle to anyone looking for auto/truck parts!!!As far as the product goes, their prices are a fraction of MSRP. You can walk in for parts or order online and the shipping is always super fast and always free. Why would anyone spend their money elsewhere?!!Note to owner;Paul Soto is an asset to your company and should be recognized for his amazing customer service!!!Mind you, I would not be taking the time to do a review let alone a review that is this long but I want you to know how unusual Detroit Axle is in a saturated field of aftermarket replacement parts.
In may my mechanic ordered a transmission, and while it arrived in a timely manner thing quickly went down hill. The tranmission leaked and had to be removed from the vehicle again. This continued several other times. At one point another transmission was sent but also failed imediatly during the test drive. While I am able to drive the vehicle again it still is not right. The transmission whines and still occasionally leaks. I was told this had a five year warrenty but now the mechanic is asking me for more money for all the times it was in and out for this faulty product. Would have been better off orderimg from rock auto
I ordered a part for my vehicle and received it fairly quick. Albeit, it was a used but furbished part. A return address label was enclosed so that I could return the old part from my car and get a lifetime warranty and deposit. After sending them the old part, I still have nothing indicating a warranty and have not received any deposit
I have used Detroit Axle for years and have my customers order from them. I love the vented rotors and front end parts I have used from them. JUST dont ever buy there Brake Pads unless you want to hear a Squeal Noise from H%!!, I have tried to get them to warranty the pad for the 2004 Tahoe I did and have never heard back, I was even willing to pay for a up graded pad if needed, I still like there other products and will use them just not t he brake pads, Hope this gets to someone that will take the time to read it and respond to it.. After my post I got a email asking they could help make it right, They sent me a new set of brake pads and so far they seam a lot better, Thanks Estro for handling the problem fast. I move up to a 4 star from a 3.
I ordered rear brakes through Amazon and after the expected delivery date when checking on my order it said your order may be lost. I inquired via Amazon and received a reply from Detroit Axle that it had not shipped and they would contact the Warehouse. After several day I had to recontact, still no results. I was getting ready to write a bad review and cancel my order. While reading some of the reviews and noticed that a customer service representative by the name of Estro asked some of people that left a bad review to call him. Long story short, I called Estro and he resolved my issue in 1 day. Glad my brake job wasnt an emergency. Thanks Estro
Estro has been extremely helpful in getting things worked out. Highly recommend. Great guy! πππ
Ordered rotors and brake pads Oct 1rst said I would have them Oct 5th here it is Oct 10th and I still dont have them. If I new this I would have never ordered from you! No happy at all!!!! Would not recommend Detroit axle to ANYBODY!!!
I ordered a complete brake and rotor set and the front were missing. I contacted them after the 30 days. The package wasnβt opened before because there was a wait due to the pandemic for brake jobs. I never opened the package because who would expect parts to be missing from a entire brake and rotor set. I emailed them and was told I would be sent a replacement. After waiting entire week and emailing them frequently about the part. I was told the part was never being sent. What a waste of time.
Very good prices and service is super. Specially Dora she will go above and beyond to get you the parts you need. Also thanks to Debbie at warehouses for helping me with my parts.
I purchased a lower control arm from Detroit Axle it arrived on March 3rd 2021, i had it put on then 3 months later it starts to make weird noises when I turn, back up, so I take it to the shop that put it on and he said the bushings are worn and the ball joint isnt any good. I messaged Detroit Axle and tell them about this defective part, ask to send me a new one or refund my money because it shouldnt have went bad in 3 months when I purchased it brand new. Didnt get a response back from the message that I sent.UpdateAfter I posted this review, customer service responded and told me to give them a call. They want me to send the shipping fee to them for a new part to be sent off after I bought the part from them, paid the shop to put it on and I have to repay the shop to redo the work. Im outta too much money dealing with Detroit Axle. At this point I dont want another part from them just give me my money back
My shop ordered and paid for two new rear axles for a Ford explorer received two used axles in very bad shape straight out of another vehicle one covered in Grease the other spray painted not even the correct axle with no axle nuts causing our company to have to credit the customer $200 off of his ticket and to lose a customer then on here they tried to deny us even making a purchase through them,
Ordered a transmission from Detroit Axle. The shipping was ridiculously fast! However, we had issues with the transmission and we couldnβt get anyone to help us. Detroit Axle was supposed to have a tech call our mechanic to troubleshoot. They never called! Finally, my husband and I kept calling Detroit Axle, every hour, till they finally called our mechanic. According to our mechanic, they never troubleshooted with him, they only called 4 times to verify what the issue was, that we had already told them NUMEROUS times! The transmission has now been leaking transmission fluid, since itβs been installed. We went without a vehicle for over a month and itβs going to have to go back in the shop AGAIN for this leaking transmission they sent to us and havenβt stood behind yet. This has been the most expensive mistake we have ever made going through Detroit Axle. Lousy customer service! Horrible product! AVOID DETROIT AXLE!
Ordered a front end suspension kit from Detroit axle off Amazon for a 08 charger came in within a week even though it was sent via ups and weight of package parts were all their everything seems to be decent quality for the price and even though it was the most competitive price on Amazon Im happy with what I was able to get for 280$ you can buy a alternator and some oil for that price so Iβm not complaint about a 16 piece set some people have had bad experiences but it happens overall Iβm satisfied and will look into buying parts from them again if I do have a issue Iβm getting ahold of the guy replying to all the reviewsπ
Order a power steering rack 3 weeks ago. Tracking number had been made day after I placed my order. Nothing had happened since the label had been made. Called them and after a half hour wait, had told me the part I ordered wasnβt in stock. Fine they made a mistake and their inventory count was off. But for 3 WEEKS, they never bothered to contact me about the non existent part which I only now knew because I called. Also anyone would assume that tracking info means that the part will be in transit. There was a weight for the package and everything. So how can that be if the part wasnβt in stock to begin with? And all they told was sorry for the inconvenience. Iβve been out of a car for 3 weeks and now for even longer because of their incompetence. Iβll never buy from Detroit Axles again. First and last time
I would absolutely recommend Detroit Axle to any one!! I order my parts Monday around 2pm had it Tuesday morning! unbelievably fast! Very happy with the customer service rep who helped me place the order. He was very knowledgeable and helpful getting me what I needed. The slotted rotor looks awesome!
All good, but they do not read any added notes.
Absolutely pathetic customer service. I ordered and paid for a transmission for my truck. They said it would ship within 3-5 days. I called a week later when it still was not shipped and they said they would investigate and call me back. 4 days later I call again and same bs run around. 2 weeks later I demanded a refund. Pathetic excuse for a business.
Prices are really reasonable parts seem really nice quality going to install it this week and well see how the ride feels made in the USA so you got to love that
The customer service provided is great, Jesus Borrego helped me out a ton with my order and quickly. Not the average experience you have ordering parts. Pretty good π
RUN!!! this company SUX !!! ordered something, didnt arrive, I called said the rack and pinion was being tested. I said cancel order. JR said not sure I can because label was already made. I said If its not sent out, then cancel. He did. Waited 2 months for money to be returned, NOTHING. I called and they tell me the package was delivered. I said HOW? when i canceled it, They said it was sent out the day after I ordered it, I never received it,. Not my problem, if its canceled, and you sent it out, thats not my problem. STILL no refund. I lost $180.00 Run from this company,
After being on the phone for over an hour and being hung up on 3 times upper management was able to help. Nice upper management but customer service staff gets a 1 star from me
Ordered a ball joint, tie rod, and control arm kit for $140. Lower ball joints were missing upon arrival, which left me no choice but to go buy them for $80 from my local parts store (needed my truck done by the next day to drive to work). Called them and they told me the ball joints would be there later that week on Thursday and to refuse delivery so I can get a refund. They got delivered a day early in Wednesday so no one was there to refuse the delivery. Called them again and they told me they could only refund me $15 because they were part of a kit. But if they were part of a kit they shouldβve come with the kit right? Right. Could have at least refunded me for the price they sell ball joints separate. I paid $80 for them at the store. Anyways, I used some strong words over the phone and got hung up on. Will NEVER buy from or recommend them to anyone else.
Ordered off ebay ad said free 1 day shipping itiem in Detroit MI they nade the labe then voided it and shipped from across the country and at a slower cheaper shipping cost and will take over a week to get to me reached out to them and in short was told o well. They dont care so i will never order from them again
Ordered break pads and rotors. Four tracking #s later Iβve yet to receive it. Two out four # say shipped and delivered to a different address, one is canceled and the other one supposedly on the way. I really needed the breaks fast but I guess Iβll be disputing my order and getting my money back. Feels like a scam at this point.
I ordered a brake and rotor kit for a 2014 Camaro RS. I opened the rear rotor box to find the wrong shoes. I then emailed them about a return. They tried to blame it on me and was going to charge me a restock fee, etc. Come to find out, the rear shoes were in the front rotor box. I was happy I found them. I emailed back only to be told, they do not carry RS brakes and they are not correct and blah blah. The Amazon ad says LS and LT All Models Only. I thought well the RS is the same as LS<. GUESS WHAT DETROIT, THEY ARE. Anyways, I got them installed today and I am pleased, but very upset with customer service trying to weasle their way out of a return. I will not look at another Detroit Axle part. I will go back to Rock Auto
I ordered front wheel hubs and a front axle kit on Amazon from Detroit Axle. Prior to purchasing it said I would have it today. Detroit Axle provided a tracking number immediately showing that the parts will be delivered today. What was actually delivered was a envelope with a letter in it saying your order is delayed, here is a 10% coupon to use on our website on your next order. As if I would order from them again. The reason they did this is quite clear; amazon expects companies to ship product out in a timely manner. They provided amazon (and me) a fake tracking number to make it look like the parts were scheduled today. I had everything prepared, tools set up needing to the job today. They have the capability to send a message to a customer via amazon. They did not. I would have been able to make other arrangements in the 2-3 days shipping time took, instead of only having hours to make calls, run around and try to find the parts locally (at x4 the price). This is not OK. Appeasing amazon at the cost of customer service and customer expectations will be your downfall. Especially when lying is involved. Do not recommend.
Bought a steering unit for a 2011 f150 a yr back. The customer has since complained of steering issues again. I contacted Detroit axle and they claim they never received my core (was sent out 2 weeks after!!) to activate the lifetime warranty. You just screwed the customer! Ill never do business again with you!
I ordered a trans more than3 weeks ago. They said it would ship within 3-4 business days . Called last week and they had no answers but to call back in a week β¦well called back and still saying the same . Still no trans or any info on when it will be here . Be leery that the adds are not true in my opinion false advertising, guys before you buy read the reviews!
I will change this if and when Detroit Axle makes things right.I have a 2007 Cadillac CTS, I ordered front wheel hubs, from this company. My ABS and traction control lights came on after installation. So I looked into making sure I was sent the right part. This company sends me a 2007 Buick Rendezvous rear wheel hub. And when I want what I ordered and paid for Im being told that the part is interchangeable. If this was the case my ABS AND TRACTION control lights would not be on after installation. I would say take your money elsewhere. They will send what they want and say its interchangeable........Update this was sent to me after this post was first put up. As it states a 2007 Cadillac CTS, yet I received 2007 Buick Rendezvous parts....DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!!
I had a problem with my brakes and rotors so I called and they sent another set out and I still had the same problem (squeaky noise every time I press my brakes). Iβve took my car to the shop 3 times and spent $500 or more for labor dealing with this issue. I tried calling to see if I could get a refund for the brakes and rotors and they said no.
Ordered online and picked up at store with no problems. Will be returning for other parts
Dont fall for the fake 5 star reviews, these guys are all over ebay and amazon, and their parts cost them PENNIES (CHINA), which is why you get such a great deal. 99.9% of the time their parts wont last a year, with most barely making 3 months. always read the lowest rated reviews first. they may have decent customer service, but quality is a -5. stay away, pay more, buy US made.
Excellent location, orderliness and service. Everything I would ever expect from an American auto parts warehouse that bears the Detroit name in their name properly.
(Updated - 4 star) Customer Service response to me was quick & gave me the option for either a partial refund of $10.00 from Original 60.00 purchase or to send me the part they forgot to include. I will update after parts installed.(Original 1 star) So far I have ordered two different times. The 1st experience was great. This most recent time was awful. I ordered an 8 piece kit and only received 7 items and even one of those items was the wrong thing.
Ordered brakes and rotors for 2014 Kia Soul they send me Twice the wrong brakes. Then they supposedly send me the right brakes and they look exactly like the wrong brakes just different number. Never again wasted $150.
Wow I was going to buy all the parts to rebuild my front end on my ram 2500 but after reading so many negative reviews there is no way I will give them any of my money, Iβd rather pay more and get good quality and correct parts with zero hassle.
Ordered wheel hubs for my car. Within a week one was defective. I kept contact, was told i needed to send a picture of an invoice showing it as defective. Well, I did! Now I am being forced to jump through hoops to get a refund all while being 2 weeks away from giving birth! Awful customer service.
I place an order in may 2021 then return my product which I paid around $250 dollar for it. I email them many times about my return and my refund. Itβs now july 2021 and I never got my refund. When I got a chance to talk to someone in the beginning of July a rep. Told me that they were unable to do a refund cause I took too long to called. I donβt think that itβs fare I email them. I also asked to speak with the manager they took a message. Never got a called. Iβm so disappointed
I bought on line a pair of front sway bar links part# k80768 and k80769 for my 07 Honda Civic EX,, the parts I got in mail look nothing like in the online picture, and part# are X80768 and X80769 on the parts I received.. they look very cheaply made and when I put my grease gun to grease them, I barely was squeezing grease in them and grease was coming out of the edge of the boot.. I really donβt think Iβm gona install them and just take a loss of $25..
They sent me the wrong part, and then I had to return the wrong part back to get the correct part sent to me. However, it turns out the correct part was out of stock. To summarize, wasted a months time to get the wrong part and nothing else. Horrible customer service.
The worst place ever. I ordered my parts online get there after 11a like it said, get there they tell me nobody has my parts after my money was taking of my cards. How do not know the part isnt available anywhere. 1 star is to many I will never come back I dont care how much cheaper the price may be. Never again
Placed an order, got half the order, asked why and was told rest is on its way, was told this 3 days in a row, ups says my order is not in their possession and the tracking numbers I was given are invalid, so I ask for a refund several times, was told they would give refund only after I receive parts they havent even sent yet but only after I return them.......customer service and their supervisors are liars and thiefs and I highly recommend you stay away, Id give zero stars but thats not an option. Will be reporting them the the BBB. Absolutely the worst company Ive ever dealt with.
They sent me the wrong part weeks ago and still havent reimbursed me.My past experience was better.
Bought a new font end kit last may for my 07 Silverado 3500. Upper ball joints are shot along with the idler arm. Glad I didnt put the lower ball joints in. If something cant last at least a year I dont see the reason to buy. Should of just spent the money on a better brand but thought Id try something new
Worst experience ever I order my parts on the 18th of August right before the start closed so I knew I will be able to pick him up early in the morning on the 19th got up to Detroit Axle had to wait an hour in line just to be seen then wait another 30 minutes for them to go to the back and pick up my parts then the lady behind the counter was rude short lady blonde hair all I got to say like wow shouldnt online orders be put up to the side so the customer can come in its parts already paid for just pick them up smfh at Detroit Axle
I ordered brakes, rotors, and wheel bearings for my 2008 dodge grand caravan as a kit. The rear pads and rotors took an additional 2 weeks after we ordered and we had to go pick them up. Gave the company another chance and ordered inner tie rods, outter tie rods, and sway bar end links as a kit as well. Take it to the garage and the inners are not there. I call and they said they were out of stock and can send them and Ill receive them within the week. Well one week later, Im back on the phone and still waiting. Customer service was friendly but Im frustrated.
I would give them 0 stars if it were an option. Ordered a steering rack and tie rod ends for my Volvo. Detroit Axle charged my card immediately and didnt even have the parts they charged me for. You cant get anyone to answer the phone or respond to emails in their customer service department. I finally got someone on the phone after a few days of trying. Long story short, its been going on two weeks since I canceled my order and I have still not received a refund for my purchase. Ive talked to two reps and they both said they were putting the refund through while I was on the phone with them. Still nothing. This place is a scam.update* after talking to a representative from the company on the phone I was reassured that my refund was going through. Then earlier today I received an email stating that it actually wasnt going through because my order has shipped and it would be arriving tomorrow. Im not sure how that works because the order was cancelled 2 weeks ago. I do not need the parts anymore, I just need my money back. This has been one of the most frustrating experiences I have had shopping online.
Order a complete brake system (pads & rotors) less then six months later all rotors are RUSTED. $200. Brakes squeaked after a week. Heard good things about this company but Iβm very disappointed with my purchase.
