Went in fast lane for oil change, top off fluids and change brake light and turn signal, and the usual vacuum and wash. Paid for car and walked out to see car almost as dirty as it went in. Checked turn signal still not working, checked brake light still not working, checked fluids not topped off. Went back in and and got fluids topped off, and rechecked the light issue, they tried to tell me to make appointment cause it was obviously a wiring issue??? I asked did you replace brake light? They said no, I stated that brake light and turn signal operate together they said no they don’t it’s a wiring issue. I asked them to replace brake light anyway and magically the brake light and the turn signal actually work. So I saved my self the cost of an extra appointment to check wiring that was perfectly fine. All for a bulb I asked them to replace…

Called service on Saturday morning telling them I have a battery problem. Was told to drive to the Quick lane. They checked my battery and said it way over due for replacement. They replaced it and had no more dead battery issues. Service mgr and tech were very friendly and professional.

Contacted the dealership before hours online about a truck, got a response Early morning and explained what I was looking for explained this was for my business and was assured that a sales team would get back to me soon. So far so good but thats were it ended i finally herd back from sales 4pm that afternoon now this is the end of the year expense for me. Sales person gave an offer on my trade, and did not hear back from them after that. Would not recommend this dealership for there customer service for sure

Everyone was so very helpful.They kept us informed and updated on what was happening and the time frame involved. Aaron made an extra effort to help us with the tech stuff on our phone, etc. He made sure we understood where and how things worked in our new vehicle. He gave us his contact info incase any question came up.Thank you for the positive experience. We will certainly be passing that on to family and friends.

I was surprised to see that there was 17 miles on the purchase agreement but when we got into the truck it showed 220 miles and all the radio stations had been set. I have mentioned this to 3 different people in the dealership and no one has given me an answer as to how this could of happened. Other then that the buying process went smooth.

Christmas eve and I was experiencing issues driving home to Minneapolis; so I pulled off and stopped in. The people were so friendly and helpful it was amazing. They fixed my issue incredibly fast and helped me get home for the holidays. Best service Ive ever had!

Bought a 2018 GMC Sierra in June with 9000 miles. Truck began experiencing major issues with computer where it would shift into drive but rev like in neutral. Had to disconnect battery to reset. It has since happened 3 other times and now power steering went out, check engine light, brakes going in and out automatically. Took to local GM shop twice and cannot find problem. Called Nelson numerous times and had a hard time getting returned calls. They never offered solutions to this problem until I threatened with legal action. Then they offered 2 trucks with 37k miles on them. Asked for my money back and was told this was not an option. Now speaking with Attorney General MN, Department of Public Safety Consumer Protection, my law firm, and General Motors. My family and myself cannot afford to pay $40,000 for a defective vehicle and not make a return or unable to be fixed. At least General Motors calls me back numerously and has offered to buy it back out of Michigan. We shall see. Buyers beware! Customer service is sometimes more valuable than sticker price.12.23.2019Update: Thank You Tom for your reply to my original review. I appreciate your time in writing this review during your busy work schedule. I can understand that there are 2 sides to every story. I believe the purpose of a Google Review to be as honest and truthful as possible with the intentions to either promote or discourage a business and/or service. My purpose with Google Review is to not have a dialogue with you, because that already has happened and expired. My purpose is to help assist other individuals contemplating using your services or purchasing a vehicle at your Nelson Auto Group. Again, there are 2 sides to every story and yours and mine dont align. My message again to other individuals is my story only. My story is not something I ever wish upon someone else nor will I ever use your services again.

Had to have work done on my F-150. When I got truck back, there is a big scrape at the rear tire well. Also has a big gouge in it that is down to the metal.

Annoying experience trying to buy a car from them. Not a customer-centric dealer. Heres an example.Their pricing is higher than average. While that is their prerogative, it is typically accompanied by some other kind of balancing perk. Friendly, enthusiastic, knowledgeable salespeople. Some sort of satisfaction guarantee (We give you 5 days to make sure its the right car for you!). High competency and familiarity in a specific area like internet sales and delivery.Nope. They swung and missed in all those areas. They had a convertible that was just out of warranty for time. I was willing to buy it remotely sight unseen.However, I needed to know I would either be covered by a dealer warranty (even a short 30 day one) or a satisfaction policy. Nope. Could they deliver it to me? Same state (MN). Nope. Fine, Ill do a $500 refundable deposit for a day so I can arrange time off work to drive the 3+ hours one way. Nope, we dont do refundable deposits. And if you want to make a deposit (that is nonrefundable sir, dont forget that) you also have to complete a credit application. On your cash sale.Jaw falls, phone drops. Ive never run into all of these issues when buying before. Maybe one, but I could deal with it cuz of some other compensatory plus. But not all together. And never in my life have I heard of a dealer that didnt do refundable deposits on in stock product. US, Asian, German, new and used. Hell, I once had an Audi dealer ORDER me a custom speced car on a $1000 refundable deposit.If you have to deal with them because they are local, know there is a better dealership experience out there. Seek that out.

My car had been totaled earlier so we were looking for a car to accommodate our four children and in a timely manner being they are in activities and need to be places. I had emailed them about the car we wanted to look at being it was a 3 hour drive. The guy that was emailing me could not stop the fact that we wanted to come on Saturday being the drive it was and my boyfriend working. He kept saying can’t he get off early a day can’t he get off early... so one day he got off early and we told them we were on our way. We got there about an hour and a half before close went for a test drive looked the car over. It was leaking oil out the transfer case. Also there was a huge scuff on the front we asked if they would throw a paint pen in with to fix. The paint pen was a huge ordeal because “it’s cheap we can buy one” also my thought is I’m writing you a check for $14,000 can’t you throw one in it’s cheap. We never got told about any refreshments or offered anything. We said we would buy it but wanted the transfer case looked at and dependent on that we would take it. They said they would get it in right away the next day and call. I left them the check and all the signed paperwork and hardly got a thank you for buying a car. The next day they kept claiming they had “scheduled” stuff to do first and then later said they wouldnt fix it until late next week and then deliver. When they knew the whole purpose of buying the car was to have it that day. We told them to send back the check and got a car else where with friendly happy service. After spending 6 hours on the road for this alone we had very poor customer service for something that wasn’t even our problem.

Stopped in today after phoning and emailing Aaron Mikkelson about a new GMC SIERRA pickup, excellent experience and drove off with a new ride. Couldnt be happier with how I was treated by the entire staff involved in the process. If you need a new vehicle get ahold of Aaron and hell hook you up.
