Every single bag of chicken I have purchased at Fred Meyer has holes in it. I bought five packs of chicken last week to put in my deep freezer. Every single one of them has holes. Now if all the bags of chicken have holes in them than this is not a safe place to be buying chicken. The bags would have been have exposed to numerous hands and bacteria from others. If these bags have holes in them than why are the still being sold?
Probably the worst store I’ve ever shopped at. This was my local grocery store for 6 years, and although I used them more often than not (due to proximity) when I had the option I would drive across town, and spend more, just to not be frustrated beyond my limits. I could rattle off a list of complaints, but no one wants to sift through all of that, and it would make me look like an irrational complainer, when it’s really 6 years of constant irritation. Other Fred Meyer stores in the area are excellent, but this one just sucks for a thousand little reasons that add up.
Had bad expeince at this store 3 mo ago my husband got his wallet stole there and they spend 80 in there store my husband credit card try get money from atm . bank called us he went back fredmery being ugly witmy just they cant do nothing .last nite 8pm me my sis went there park handicape spot .r 2nd store of shopping had 60 $ worth stuff stolen from fradmery parklot called manger .only unfortly cant help wat public do in parklot? Not happy wit there store.there store buren too got hit wit teens run out case beer .they didnt care iam elder hurt my arm?they dont care for custermer?
I needed quite a few various items from a few different departments but predominantly I wanted to look at shoes clothing if it was on sale and garden center so thats what I did and I was not unhappy with the store they have awesome selection of flowers tools but the only thing I could suggest is doing a better job making the prices obvious so that you can make a quick and warm decision instead of having a track down and associate to tell you what price or is this even in the right place on the shelf because you know its too hard to tell sometimes the dressing rooms are open so you can try clothes on now if you choose shoes around sale is overall great experience
Its a grocery store, and it meets the expectations of that.The staff are pleasant, the store is tidy, and theres a million things to look at throughout the store. The addition of ID checking for the wine corner is a nice touch imo.
The manager at this location refused to assist with an Instagram order gone wrong.
A Big Earthquake Shout out to Federal Way Fred Meyers employees. I have never been to a store especially home dept. and receive an excel customer service or leave without getting an answer. Home Dept. and the liquor dept. is the best of all. Julie was an awesome person when I couldnt find an item in the coffee area she walked me to Bella and asked her for assistant with me and to my surprise Bella jumped out with excitement and excellent effort to see to my needs. Both helped me with ideas and kept me smiling while I was spending money. I have never felt so good spending money there. I will come back again...
I usually can find what I’m looking for. Even if I go one day looking for items. there’s no toilet and paper towels. Usually the next day it’s the opposite... easy to find items now that I know the store outline. I wish the prices for buy one to get one was up to date. Other than that the customer service people are usually helpful at the self check outs and or on the floor.... customer service people love to gossip about their work!
Basically like Wal-Mart, with everything from clothing, pharmacy, home and garden goods to food but a bit more expensive. However, it is a step up in class over Wal-Mart. Very popular store.
Today I witnessed a store worker man standing by the doors Outside, and as I got my cart a boy employee was pushing in carts. The man made rude and mean remarks insulting boy pushing the carts. I figured the man must be a manager. Bullying an employee. Instead of politely greeting his customers coming into the store. If all employees get this treatment here no wonder there is always a shortage of staff. I shop here often, very often and always see new staff.
I purchased some crab legs recently when they were on sale for $10.64 a pound (4 clusters to be exact) 2 of the clusters were good. The other 2 you could clearly see that they weren’t good!! Not only did they look rough but the spelled way to fish and were extremely salty! Never had a problem with any of Fred Myers seafood.. Do better please !!
Fred Meyer gets good grades in almost everything except curbside pickup. Two attempts have resulted in two fails (no product, wrong charges, cancelled pickup!). Amazon Fresh wins again—if you don’t want to shop in a crowded store!

Self checkout workers won’t keep their grimy hands off my ID... there’s a pandemic going on, idk if you heard. :) (you were blessed with eyes, please use them)
One thing you can count on with this store, youll pick up items that are on sale, advertised at a certain price, and when you return home and look at your receipt youll see you were charged more. I call this fraud and its dishonest. Even when you try to be vigilant and watch at checkout, items will still slip by and youll have been ripped off.
I had an employee named Ray go above beyond with excellent customer service!!! I believe he was one of the Managers. I was having a hard time opening my car key fob that had a dead battery. Ray opened my key fob and put the battery in it for me. My own roommate wouldnt help me so I REALLY APPRECIATED his help!!!
Great place to shop very good prices different brands than what we are used to but everything has been good so far. The employees are awesome very nice and helpful. Thank you!!
It’s clean but they don’t have many employees and the ones they do have don’t greet you or actively try to help you in any way. I’ve been there twice now. When I asked for help, once I got a quick, friendly response and the employee pointed me in the right direction (which wasn’t far). Other time I asked for help finding memory foam kitchen mats because I couldn’t find them. The girl up front called a man and I could hear him the whole time but I don’t think he knew....he was very unhappy sounding and didn’t offer to come help or have anyone help me. Until she tried to ask for someone to assist me.. which I appreciated, and only then did he reluctantly agree to come help. (I could hear the whole conversation when he was talking to her). I was told someone (that guy) would come help me in a certain section and I waited over 20 minutes and he never showed up, nor did anyone else. I finally flagged down another employee, who seemed sick and had a runny nose, but was wearing a mask, and she looked and didn’t see any.... so she just told me they didn’t have any. But..... later I find out they do. But I didn’t want any of those options, so that’s that. But the entire time she didn’t really seem to want to help me either. What’s with this? I’ve seen other Fred Meyer stores do much better than this! Seems like they really need better management. It’s kinda sad... because I like shopping at Fred Meyer.. but I plan on doing less now.
The best big chain grocery store in Federal Way. With a friendly police officer ALWAYS parked out front and roaming the store, you won’t experience any of the shenanigans you might find in other grocery store parking lots *cough* Safeway *cough*. Excellent selection of produce, groceries, automotive, and anything in between - and you can feel safe while shopping!! Thank you Freddy’s.

A store to buy easy and fast
I hate this store. The northern entrance is randomly closed. No signs, no schedule. Inside, things are hard to find. They dont make sense. I need to work on bringing in competition.
I ran in to get some bread. It was a quick and easy stop and shop. There were no sasquatches sighted inside on this trip.
Do not buy Tracfone from these guys.several very bad experiences, led to several refunds.- missing sim cards, locked prev owned device. etc.Garbage product they are selling . Ohh btw, they do not refund purchased minutes on those devices, just to add to the frustration.

This location has some great people working there that seem like they really enjoy their jobs and are great at customer service. Friendly, respectful people who care about the customers. A very clean, well stocked store with lots of good deals. And the pharmacy is awesome!!! Always have my prescriptions ready and the service and staff are amazing. GREAT place to go for ALL your shopping needs!
I get my groceries here once a week and always pay at the self checkout. The male employee that works the self checkout (middle aged, dark hair) is NEVER wearing his mask properly. He always wears a very loose mask below the nose. I will be shopping at a different location.
My husband and I went to the money center and I gave the lady my license and all the information she needed, and while I was waiting for my money and she was putting in my information she asked me if I was born in the U.S. which I dont understand why if I gave her my WA State license, and also she has no right to ask me that. Im of Hispanic decent, but even then it shouldnt matter. The money was coming from New Mexico thats part of the U.S. I just dont appreciate your employee asking me questions that are not any of her business.

If you enjoy spending A LOT of time looking for a few items, then this newly organized store is perfect...(insert sarcastic tone)The new store layout is really horrible... When grocery shopping you have typical expectations.Youd think paper products would be in the same isle or right next to each other. Youd also think that beer, soda, wine would in the same section of the store...and snacks might even be in the same area... I could go on and on...Everything is oddly organized compared to a normal grocery store. Ive been thinking Ill get used to the new floor plan, but no... Even sales associates dont really know where things are located.Ill update this review if they make some sensible changes... In the meantime, I think Im going to start shopping somewhere else. My time is too valuable.
I went in to get some things for the house and long story short ended up talking to a wonderful customer service manager named Heather! She was amazing and after talking with her all my concerns were addressed! I was surprised how she took the time to talk to me and treat me right. I will always shop at Fred Meyer because of Heather, she is an amazing manager and, in my opinion, people like her are the reason your business has earned my continued loyalty! Thanks again Heather you were amazing!
This has been my go to store for almost a decade now. I love Fred Meyer and never feel frustrated knowing I need to go in. When I’m on a mission to get in and get out, the items are always right where I would expect them to be. When I’m in no rush, there is always something new, whether it be clothing, jewelry, or the gorgeous furniture they have on display.I’ve met so many store associates in my time there, they always feel like family. I strongly recommend this location for any/all of your shopping needs. Even during this renovation process, the staff are on top of being helpful and making sure you get everything you need.

We used to shop here regularly. Since their remodel, service and availability of goods have fallen off drastically! Many very good employees are now gone and self check is taking over. Do we get a discount for doing the work ourselves? We have found other places to shop. It certainly isn’t ‘One Stop Shopping’ any longer!
I got what I was looking for.
Got some jlab wireless headphones for 100$. Awful product. The battery drains while in the charging case if its not plugged in. And they stay turned on while in the case no matter how many times I turn them off. Couldnt return them, was recommended them by an employee. Also, they are 50$ online.Dont go here, shop online. Better prices and they have better return policies, reviews, and customer service.
I called in a bit of a panic because I had 37 PSE bills to process and I knew this would take extensive assistance from Customer Service. I called ahead and Gabrielle agreed to come to the Customer Service desk and help me. Both herself & Alexis stayed positive, friendly, and patient as we sorted these bills! I can’t thank them enough for putting on their biggest Customer Care Hat and taking care of me! Great job ladies! Thank you so much!
This store has a wide variety of gluten free products which is why I shop here. I like the fact it also has garden supplies, and a bath/ kitchen area. Convenient parking with return area for shopping carts in close proximity in the lot. Prices are excellent. Easy to download & use coupons electronically. Best of all, the have a wonderful fruit/vegetable section well stocked ! I also use ClickIt for just picking up the weekly standard grocery list.
CLOSING AT 10pm 7nights a week???WOW, well it’s extremely unfortunate that I’m now FORCED to SHOP AT SAFEWAY, which I hate!FEDERAL WAY IS BECOMING A FOOD DESERT!We have lost 2 Albertson’s, a Whole Foods & what used to be Johnny’s then a Metro Market.Locations that supported grocery stores for decades with a smaller population.🤔FEDERAL WAY,In the last 15 years, has gained 15,000 residents, and lost four full-size grocery stores with zero replacements!!Overall I tend to love Fred Meyer‘s. Most locations are great. I have shopped at this one for seven years straight.After their remodel I gave them a month or two to get up to speed, but at this point I would have to say it is a solid downgrade from what the store used to be. The layout makes me walk much further to grab a few common items. They undoubtedly did this on purpose to make you walk through the store. It’s a waste of time. I don’t wanna walk through the entire store to grab coffee. It used to be nice and convenient when it was directly by the entrance.Now I have to navigate a maze to the back opposite corner of the store. This is by design.They also clearly have less groceries now.Lastly the customer service station has taken a major downgrade. I just waited 20 minutes in line behind a bunch of people paying bills and buying lottery tickets to simply swap a shirt for a different size. What a huge waste of time!Thoroughly disappointed in Fred Meyer. This is nothing like the Fred Meyer that I also frequent in Central Oregon. Theirs is new, beautiful and laid out quite differently.I have a feeling we are not going to get the changes back to the way used to be. So now we are stuck with a downgraded grocery store. Unfortunately I will do all my shopping at Winco now Safeway if I get a chance.It really sucks to live in a town of 100,000 people and only have three grocery stores open past 10 PM.

This is my go to store! Always has been and always will be. This location is amazing and all the workers are extremely helpful even if they are helping you from a different department. They will direct you and give top notch customer service. You may not be able to always find it at Fred Meyer but even then they will direct you to a location that will. I love this store especially this location!
My visit was not satisfactory. Im apparently too skinny and too fat for your mens wear pants. Specifically work wear. Not happy at all. The associate tried to help but I was looking for a size 31 41 Dickies work pants. I wont be coming back everlever agin. This was my second try in same day after coming from Walmart.
My experience here was just awful. I can not express how I felt about being ACCUSED of stealing soy sauce packets when I took none. I kindly asked the lady making the sushi rolls if there where anymore soy sauce packets and she said to my face that I took all of them and there is no more. I then proceeded to tell her that I did not take any, but she kept on accusing of said action. I just kindly walked away since I did not want to deal with her anymore.
This is a larger Fred Meyer with everything youd hope to find in one place. The gas kiosk is in the parking lot. The health food section is a decent size. The deli and meat sections are better stocked than some other nearby FMs.This FM also has a large shoe section, a decent clothing section and a large home section.The staff here is generally friendly and the store is clean. Sometimes I go out of my way to come here because its a nicer FM!
Came here to buy a couch and got highly disappointed, disregard, disrespected and no great customer service at all! To not only refuse to listen to the customer when told the honest truth that there’s no price tag but to demand that the customer look for the price tag when there was none. After all the back in forth of 30min they then realized oh there is no price tag. That’s basically calling the customer a liar!! This place needs to retrain their staff and also do mental assessments on them as well cause mental illness is indeed strong and contagious!!!!
Usually can find almost everything I need, prices are decent, and the staff are great. Not usually crowded so check out is usually a breeze. Also has great variety of organic and vegan products.
I have been a VERY loyal customer to Fred Meyer for several years, only shopping at that store, even when many of their items are more expensive than other stores. It’s sad they will now no longer receive my business and our family spends $800-$900 a MONTH at this store.I was at the store yesterday and purchased over $100 worth of groceries so I wanted to use the coupon that ran through yesterday 11/12/19 where you receive $20 off a purchase of $100 or more. Well, I was shopping with a 2 year old and an infant and the 2 year old was minutes from a melt down so in my haste to try and leave the store before the meltdown began, I forgot to use the coupon.As luck would have it, that same night I went to grill up the asparagus I had purchased that day and it was spoiled. Mind you, this spoiled asparagus is being sold just days after their “Grand Reopening”. I had planned to return it to the store the next day. I also realized I forgot to use my $20 off coupon and was going to ask to get my $20 when I returned the asparagus.I went to the store the next day and they wouldn’t honor the coupon because it expired 11/12. I’m very aware of when the coupon expired. However, I have a receipt showing I spent over $100 in your store by 11/12 and I didn’t think it would be an issue to honor the coupon. They wouldn’t honor the coupon. Thank you, Fred Meyer, for doing absolutely nothing to help out a very loyal customer. You will now lose about $9,600 a year because of $20. I hope it was worth it.
While going through growing pains of rearranging the store, the store managed to silently remove the entire Male Juniors section, and also the Plus-Size Section as well. However, there seems to be a much larger selection of items due to the rearrangement of items.
I LOVE this particular Fred Meyer, because its not only cleaner, but is well organized, and had enough windows to allow natural sunshine to brighten the interior space.One thing they I especially like about this location are the very clean, good smelling lavatory. In fact, I was informed by staff they the store has a dedicated team to keep the mens room clean. No so at the Federal Way Fred Meyer.Id prefer, and Id like to recommend the Fred Meyer across the street from James Center (Mall? )
Because of the up coming snow, the line wait was 45 minutes.They took out the pesto bar and didnt have chicken beasts at the deli.Generally, this a great place to shop, but for myself, selected items are my only reason for shopping there.
Its okay sometimes. But I have been followed around by secret shoppers and Im not a thief. I feel that this is aggressive and creepy as hell. I hate stores that do this. The pharmacy is great though so far. Ive used it several times.
Decent selection in each dept I go to - all except women & girls, come to think of it. Electronics dept feels a little smallish, but there seems to be a good selection of movies, music & games. Youll find the basics covered at decent pricing all around.I shop here mostly for food, & the meat dept has always done us very well. Good info & advice from the staff. The organic section provides good options too.To be 5 stars for me, they would need to carry some more hard-to-find hard goods, and/or variety of ethnic choices in the grocery. But considering theyre settled solidly in the burbs, they do pretty well!
Went in west entrance at 645pm, went to leave out the same entrance and it was blocked,2nd entrance blocked,finnally went out an entrance that was on the opposite side of the building from where I parked.IF YOUR GOING TO CLOSE ENTRANCES AT A CERTAIN TIME YOU NEED TO POST IT SO PEOPLE KNOW!!!So much for social distancing when everybody is forced out one single entrance that was a complete choke point. Who thinks these plans up?

I used to love shopping here. Now they have cheaper poor quality ladies clothes called dipps (?). Not carrying the propel waters I once bought here, everytime I go,there is another item they dont carry. I hope they go back and start caring better quality items after remodel.....
Went to the deli to get stuff for dinner after being on the road for 7 hours. The girl behind the counter (dont know how to pronouncing her name)took 45 mins to make *3* sandwiches! Theyre really good but wow I could have made a full on dinner in less time. The only reason for 3 stars is because the sandwiches added one.
Associates are helpful, if you can find one. A little crazy and organized wierdly but overall a nice place to shop. Much nicer than the Midway Fred Meyer.

March 1, 2020I do not recommend utilizing the Pickup grocery services at this location at least on the weekend between 7:00 to 8:00 pm. I had the worst experience I showed up at 7pm tried to call the number on the designated parking space for pickup and it was busy. I was able to get through once and it just rang then disconnected. After watching other cars receiving their groceries I decided to go in and asked to speak to the manager. I explain to the manager my concerns not able to contact the phone number listed her response to me was “My phone has been going off all day long” after already waiting now 30 minutes I demanded my groceries. She just turns around and says we will bring it to you and leaves. No apologies no hint of empathy nothing all I get is another 5 mins wait and someone else bringing the groceries to me.I have been a customer that has been going to this Fred Meyer over ten years and I am truly disappointed this establishment would hire a leader who displays such unprofessionalism. Fred Meyer cannot complete with Walmart or Target who provides the same service the only difference the turnaround is immediate. I never waited more than 5 mins Fred Meyer should prevent anymore disappointment customers.Concerned customer
I would like to rate this higher because the do have a lot of great stuff however the deli takes forever to get anything. There is usually too many people and not enough workers. It sometimes takes 20minutes to get 1/2 pound of turkey. Please get more help Fred.
Their cashiers would rather talk to themselves and ask questions about their products from the customer, than pay attention to their job.This is why I prefer the self check out. No unprofessional, rude, and lazy cashiers to deal with. It’s rare to get any cashier that’s capable of focusing on the job at this store.The Puyallup Fred Meyer is better on customer service but their produce doesn’t last as long as this ones
Was followed around by loss prevention while I was in my Metro uniform. I make a great living. I do not need to shoplift a $16 belt.
They usually keep their items well stocked and have a large variety of items. The staff has always been very nice. Their prices are a bit high on a lot of things, especially organic produce.

I love this grocery store because of ClickList. I can order groceries online and pick them up 4 hours later without leaving the car. An attendant will come out to my car after I call them and load the groceries in the trunk for me. Great for parents with kids in the car! There was one time I came home, after picking up my order and I noticed that there was a key ingredient missing that was listed on my receipt. When I called and told them that I could not come back and get it (kids at the table waiting to be fed), one of them drove it to my house 5 minutes later! Love the service!
Horribly set up store nothing makes sense. Ive bought moldy fruit a few times. Ive had problems with costomer service. Ive had problems at self checkout. Especially if they have to pick up and scan for you. They have thrown my dog food bag in the cart theyve thrown my water so hard they came out of the plastic. Do yourself a favor shop Walmart they still make sense. I still shop freds for a thing or 2 but they no longer get my hundreds of dollors I used to spend . QFC is weird but store makes sense bring or buy your own bags there. Oh and now freds charges to do cash over. Not walmart. Freds took a store everyone loved and ruined it.
Can not find items due to the remodel. Slowly are not stocking items that i used to buy there. Talking to the manager was not helpful at all. Checkers are friendly but the new check out stands are terrible....usually there is no one to bag. Thank goodness i shop at other stores to get what i want.
When the service, price and selection at other local supermarkets goes downhill Fred Meyers has been a great alternative. Its got almost everything I need and lots of stuff I dont need. The customer service is always efficient and pleasant. I just wish they would start selling Explorer Passes again.

They have a surprisingly good selection of organic produce and a nice little section for the more healthy (vegetarian, organic, gluten free and vegan) options. Good bakery and meat selection with friendly staff. They also have a whole home area section that usually has cute and well priced items. If your looking for a rare electronic dont overlook fred Meyer electronics. No one shops there so you can usually find consoles and games you cant anywhere else.

Didnt get what I wanted but it was my own fault. They had it and at a cheaper price than expected. I had just come with the wrong part number. Now with the correct numbers I will be sure to be back tomorrow with a smile.
I was looking for to buy Ammonia to help my friend who had bee attack.It was kind of emergency to get Ammonia to cure the bee attack.The lady at the express cashier told me go to isle 7 and I couldnt find over there so, I came back and asked again how can I find ammonia? She just said she cant leave the place where she is working. She did not try to call somebody to assist me but she didnt. So, I have to running around the store to find somebody who can help me. I asked the man who was working at the vegetable. He was very happy to show me where the Ammonia was displayed.Finally, I got Anmmonia but by the time it took 25 min to get one item.I am 66 yrs old and it was so hassle to night because of the cashier lady.I think she could call somebody to assist me but she did not.
This Fred Meyers is not professional its best to avoid shopping here completely.If you ask for a item you most likely will get ignored or told to look for it yourself that’s what happened to me the disrespect is vile.You will understand when it happens to you.I won’t spend my hard earned cash here anymore.
This is the default place to shop in Federal Way. There are competitors near by, but why waste your time? You will literally find it at Fred Meyer.Everyone is pretty friendly, and the cashiers are good for a chat anytime. Some folks have worked there for over 20 years! Next time youre in line, strike up a conversation.
Everytime Ive checked out here in the last few months I have been overcharged. Once $25 for a head of lettuce. Its too stressful to have to wait to check out then return to stand in the customer service line every time I shop there to get a refund anymore.
Click list has totally changed how we grocery shop! I can order my groceries on my lunch break & pick them on my way home! I spend less its ridiculously convenient!! Thank you Fred Meyer! Helping every busy family out!

I hate the remodel. The produce department is badly set up. I have to wait for people to move out of the corner set up where lettuce, cucumbers, etc are located. The other Fred Meyer stores are not set up this way. The bakery dept has limited items. They no longer have large selection of bread & pastries. The deli has the same issues. Im shopping more at the Redondo store even though it is further away.
Weve been going here for years. I love this store. Clean, professional, friendly, and well-stocked. They are patient with our sometimes chaotic family and always helpful when we ask.I once had one checker (new guy) who was weirdly rude to me. The manager stopped me when I moved to another line and apologized even though I never complained to anyone. I didnt see that guy there again. They really care about the customer experience.
One of the best superstores I’ve ever shopped in. Love the layout, WIDE aisles and easy parking. Found exactly what I needed. Friendly, helpful staff. Best Fred’s in the region.
I was approached directly by an employee about whether my animals are service or companion. The emoloyee seemed to be bothered by our presence and warned me that they may ask us to leave the store if they are not service animals. I said thank you and went about our shopping. We are particular to where we travel within any establishment that my animals accompany me through. They have needs that these stores carry. I feel it is only fair my animals get to accompany me for their shopping needs. We have been approached multiple times only at this location. Non others seems to be bothered nor any other establishment we visit. Just left with sour taste.
Good selection, pretty good prices, just expect it to get crazy in there on the weekends. You will probably get hit by a cart several times. Go in the late evening, early morning, or weekdays.
Looooong lines at 2pm on a Wednesday. Not sure if they were short handed or what but it would have been nice opening up one of the four unused cash registers. But, still better than safeway
Ive been shopping at Freddys for years. I started using the Clicklist feature when I tore my meniscus last June. Boy has it been a life saver! I typically get all my groceries here. I even ordered and picked up a lamp using Clicklist. Most products are well priced and having everything under one roof is a time saver. Ill continue to be a regular customer.
