For starters, It truly saddens me the way that not only my family was treated but the customer that was ahead of us as well.This location use to be the only location I would use if I needed any type of help hauling. I also had an expensive hitch package installed on my truck at this location as well. So let alone, I chose to spend money with this company, but that has changed.After hearing how rude Al Jenkins was to the previous customer I knew the energy was off.I proceed to the counter with a debit card to use for my transaction of renting a Pickup truck for only two hours. After doing proper research on uhaul and their form of payments, Al Jenkins the Owner”, informed me that he couldnt use my card because it was a prepaid card. Even though the card stated debit on the front and a major bank on the back. Temporarily, I accepted what he told me, however I did ask if he could print me out the policy in which he was referencing to. He then ask What are you talking about, where would I get that from I say well its a policy that you enforce you should know where to find it and should be able to present it to me for my future knowledge. He then proceeds to call, which I hear him say Boss lady to aid him in my simple request. She tells me that you cant use prepaid cards, I tell her that the card states its a debit card, Al then yells out Kim its a unemployment card. Kim then begin on with they dont accept unemployment, Social security, or any types of those payments because they are not directly connected with a bank and are considered prepaid. She then instruct him where to find this policy. They failed to find it, its now five minutes until closing and she said she will call him back. We waited patiently, its now closing time and his phone rings. Kim L. informs him to just write my name and number down and she will call me to get that request to me.It has now been a week, I have yet to hear from Kim who is actually the General Manager, even after calling to the store for her twice. She wasnt in either time so I resumed to asked for her superiors number and still no luck. Im not the complaining type because Ive worked in customer service for 10 years now and understand what its about. My creed is to do what is righteous for one, and to build a healthy professional relationship so people will come back for two.Again, I do not appreciate the way Ale Jenkins (The owner) was speaking to the older black lady in front of me and I dont appreciate how him and Kim handled us. And I say handled because thats what it seems they were attempting and accomplished in doing. We were not helped, we were simply blew off, because I have yet to hear from them. Poor business structure.I would still like a copy of the policy that they were referring too for my own future knowledge and for my own records this incident was recorded.Thank you.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. My active duty husband and I arrived at this facility at 6:30 pm, 30 minutes before closing. We had been told to ensure we returned the truck during business hours so we could fill out the paperwork to receive the military discount. We waited in the truck for 15 minutes and despite multiple employees walking in and out of the building, no one came to assist us. We went inside to explain the situation and they told us to return to the truck and they would be with us shortly. Twenty minutes later, now after closing, no one had come out to help us so we went inside again. The employees rudely informed us that they were now closed, they would not help us, and they would not offer us the military discount. Of course, at this point, my phone was dead and we could not even check the truck in online. We were incredibly disappointed with this company’s service and will not be using U-Haul in the future. Please stay away from this very poor establishment if you expect to be treated with common courtesy. Oh, and the cherry on top? It’s the Fourth of July weekend—reneging on a promised military discount is substandard business management.

Had a 10x10 storage room for a month since I made a one way move U-haul offered it to me for free. It’s clean, climate control and I didn’t have any issues with the room. However, at the front desk even when there is a long line there would only be one person helping which just makes it a long wait. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Reserved a truck for our PCS today. Showed up for pick up and they no truck for us. Now were trying to scramble and reschedule move/hotel/travel etc. Absolutely do not recommend this location.

The best U-Haul store in Fayetteville. The store has wide availability of many different U-Haul trucks and trailers The store has all of the boxes and other moving supplies that you need when moving. This location also installs hitches and has self storage units. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly.

This place is horrible honestly and their system is bad as well. they will let you reserve and pay for boxes that they don’t even have, then the DAY OF they will tell you they don’t have the boxes. what is the point of having an online reservation system if it doesn’t update to tell you nothing is in stock? dont waste your time or money. you will be stuck without options because you could reserve moving boxes weeks before but they won’t call or update you that they don’t actually have any till the day of.

My husband (James Holmes, Order #87468492) made arrangements with U-Haul for a truck and also for moving helpers. We picked up the truck but the moving helpers were a no show. It would have been fine if U-Haul had sent replacement movers. But that did not happen. Therefore we lost time and money on a move that did not even happen. Do not let them do any installation. I went here to get a 4 way flat trailer wireing to tow a trailer. They used no zip ties the wire touches parts of the engine is wrapped around the gas tank mounts the wires are hanging down and touching the ground, and worse of all they have the wires going through the suspension.I did get a refund for what i paid for

Amazing experience. BB Rhodes is an amazing worker who went above and beyond for me. Polite, professional, fast and diligent worker. When the type of dolly I needed wasnt available, she and her boss Kim arranged for me to have a trailer that would accommodate my needs. Its rare when you find people that take their job seriously and actually do all that they can do to assist you as a customer. Being 6 months pregnant and already stressing about moving a 26-ft truck and trailer by myself, it was nice to have one less thing to worry about because BB Rhodes was working hard for me. 10 out of 10 would recommend, promote her or give her a raise because she deserves it! Thank you again Kim and BB Rhodes!

Called to secure a storage unit. Waited 15 minutes for a representative to assist me. The rep took my information and proceeded to give me my reservation information. I got to uhual only for them to tell me they see my reservation however they did not have a unit available. Really upsetting when you rented a truck and only have an hour to figure out what to do and where to go with your stuff before all the storage centers close.

I was promised a 20 mile credit due to pick up location being changed 10 miles away from my residence (10 pick up/10 drop off) at the last minute. After inquiring about it a week later I only received an 8 mile credit because that was the distance from the the original pick up location to the new one and there were no notes to the agreement. They couldn’t even give me 16 to account for pick up and drop off. I asked to pull the call recording and conveniently enough they could not do that because it was an outbound call from the pick up location to my phone.False promises and no accountability... Even though they say that calls are recorded in order to keep their promises.

It’s hilarious that this location has the high rating that it does... but if you read the reviews, they get high reviews for customers purchasing boxes. We just rented a pick up truck to haul wood and bricks. We went a total of 10 miles and placed more than enough gas back in the tank. We get back to the store and a mark was found on the tail gate.. a mark that can be removed. Honestly don’t know how it got there when the tail gate was down the whole time when loading. There is no “list” of what qualifies as damage and when you agree to the $10.00 coverage fee, that is actually what you are agreeing to UHAUL to pay and then you pay the $150.00 deductible.So yeah, this is great customer service. Greatttttttt.

We had a wiring issue that was caused by a UHAUL in VABeach when they put our hitch on. Didnt discover the problem until yesterday when we picked up our trailer. The UHAUL on Gillespie treated us horribly and wouldnt even try to help. We called this UHAUL on Bragg Blvd and they got us in this morning despite their busy schedule. The work was done within the hour and everyone was so polite and professional. If you live in the Fayetteville area, use this location!!!

Literally the worst costumer service I have experienced. What was mean to be a simple 4 hour rental turned into over a week of back and forth with these people. Charged us for 3 days instead of the few hours, charged us for low fuel when we returned it with more than was given to us. The man that helped us with our rental was very rude and short with us as was the manager who I spoke to on the phone regarding our refund. Finally got my money back after over a week and I will never go there again.

Fast and efficient. Rented a 17ft truck for local use. Made reservation online. Easy pickup and checkout process. No issues with the truck. Return process was super easy: pulled in and handed keys to the attendant. My receipt was emailed and we were on our way.

Called to reserve an appliance dolly and went to to go pick it there were none at all. Apparently there are some in the system that the computer thinks they have so it lets them make the reservation. The lady wasnt even apologetic about and only made one phone call to check on one. Now I am stuck at the last minute finding on .

I only needed to get a few boxes. I was on hold a little too long so I looked up prices and headed over anyway since I was about done with my current errand. The prices were just a smidge cheaper than Penske. The bathroom had no toilet paper in the holder nor paper towels. I did find a roll of TP to use though. So although I wont remove a star for that I think that should have been kept up - it was clean though!! Also, the lady that helped me at the counter was named BB and she was so friendly and helpful! She helped me load them on a cart, took them to the truck, and loaded it in the back. That was more help than I thought I would have gotten plus she was so kind! I would recommend this place

Trailer hitch installation more trouble than it’s worth. Perhaps my standards are too high, but they installed my trailer hitch improperly the first time last year. They replaced it for free but it still did not work 100% correctly as it would not power every light on the trailer. Full disclosure, I waited several months to take it in and now they want $59 to look at it.

We made a reservation for a truck and an appliance dolly. They have a disclaimer that they “guarantee” all the equipment you reserve will be available. Not true. That’s dependent on if another customer returns the equipment you’re reserving or if they rent it to someone else before you get there. They called another dealer and told us we just needed to go “pick it up”. Not true either. Although this location did have one in stock, we were not told we’d need to be prepared to do a separate rental for the dolly upon arrival. They also did not do a walk around of the truck or explain anything other than the gas requirement. When I called about the confusion with the dolly the representative was less than friendly and wanted to give me explanations rather than genuinely understanding of the lack of details given to us or the inconvenience to get the equipment we were “guaranteed” would be there. Uhaul also claims their goal is to make moving less stressful... not the case today. Not ok!

First. They didn’t want to walk out with me to check the van out. They have me the keys and said if I had a problem then come back in an tell them. What happened to you walking out with me to go over damages etc. when I returned the rep acted like I was bothering him by requested a receipt. Is t it normal practice for someone to check you in and out and you a receipt. Instead he wanted to tell me that they would email me a receipt but I insisted that we check the vehicle out I didn’t want any issues later. So he was not happy. If that wasn’t bad enough I go in to purchase supplies. I again ask for a receipt, The lady says somethings wrong with the machine I will email you your receipt. I asked how will I know if the receipt was sent she said will leave me your number and I did. She later calls me and tells me that the charge did not go through to give her my card over the phone. I was reluctant but I didn’t wanted to seem like I had taken items out and not paid for them so I gave it to her. She ensured me that she was not writing my number down and she was put in directly into the computer I later got a receipt emailed and a confirmation . However I check my account today and they have CHARGED me FIVE TIMES at the same amount. With another possible charge tonight. I contact their office they put me on hold. A gentleman picks up the phone I explain situation. He tells me they’re closed and hung up the phone. I will drive there tomorrow and give them the item back and they will refund my money and they better figure out a way because I’m not giving them my card again. Hurrible customer service.

The after hours application that must be used in order to return equipment is faulty. I sat there late in the evening for almost 30 minutes attempting to even link my reservation to my account. Once I did that I was kicked out of the application each time I tried to take a photo of the equipment for uploading verification. After many failed attempts I finally left the equipment there. Subsequently I was charged $20 as a fee for not using the application. It is recommended that this glitch be resolved for future customers and please make using the after hours return feature available as a mobile phone capability vs the application. Additionally make the feature available as a “guest login” vs requiring users to create an account which will undoubtedly be used for marketing purposes.

I had a hitch installed prior to reserving a trailer for my move. I discussed with a staff member my requirements and we decided I would need the sport model trailer. After the hitch was installed and I tried to reserve the sport model I was told that I couldnt have it one way. ? Did you expect me to move then drive back to return it? Why was I not told that I couldnt have a small trailer prior to the hitch installation? I dont need a larger one that will only be partially full, I can make other arrangements. I certainly didnt need the expense of a hitch when Im incurring moving expenses.Then the wiring was installed improperly next to heat causing it to pop and dragg the ground! I had to return to this unethical dealer to get it rewired. Supposedly a quick in and out fix took forever and left loose. My husband had to tie it up himself.Beware and get everything in writing

My son, Gavin Q Willoughby, made a $104.86 deposit with my debit card to pick up a 15 ft truck on 4 nov and I was waiting in the car. I followed him to our house then to storage, then to our new house and returned to Ft Bragg U-Haul same night, only 2 hours late, same night. 5 Nov they charged my card $170.12 and that included a 2nd day charge and they gave $43.95 back for that 2nd day but refuse to give back my deposit because they gave me $43.95 back. I paid $231.03 total for 60 miles, 15 foot truck. I went up their chain and disputed with my bank and they still wont refund my deposit. I had to go to the BBB and got a response within 24 hours and a refund immediately. So, when in doubt, follow your gut feeling.

They were severely understaffed today (a Holiday weekend, which should have been aided by management in planning) but these two prevailed through a grueling shift in the heat! Reserved a truck and dolly 3 weeks in advance. The day before pick up my reservation was confirmed along with the equipment I requested. The next day I go in to pick up the truck and they tell me they have no dollies available. Really?? I had a washer, dryer and deep freezer to move! Whats the point of making a reservation and confirming a reservation only to not have the items you reserved??? So after we unloaded our belongings we had to go to Home Depot and rent a dolly. Never again will I use Uhaul for my move! Plus they are way too expensive now.

This review is not about this Uhaul location, but about Uhauls moving labor. Beware - do not use Moving Help (through Uhaul) or Smooth Move Veterans!!!! They tricked us into giving them the payment code early (first time using Moving Help) and left before the job was done. They worked 2 hours, said they were going to get some gatorade at a local convenience store and never came back. We had them scheduled for 6 hours and they left after 2!!! When we confronted them about it through Moving Help, they straight up lied and said they were there for the whole job. Uhaul and Moving Help claim that there is nothing they can do. They wont even refund us for the 4 hours that were not worked. Moving Help obviously does not care about the quality or level of professionalism displayed in their contracted services. I would advise you to stay away from Moving Help altogether, but especially Smooth Move Veterans!

Reserved truck online, and was contacted that the location was changed. Called to confirm that morning. We arrived, and waited in line for over an hour for them to tell us we had no truck available. The people were kind at the location, but this is clearly a corporate issue indicative of higher mismanagement, as someone not at this location moved my reservation without their awareness. The solution offered was to drive an addition 30 minutes away from our destination (which we’d have to pay for mileage) and pick up somewhere else. I have used Uhaul for numerous moves, and have no interest in using them again due to them being unable to provide the basic level of service expected. Client experience is certainly at the bottom of their corporate list.

Wish I could give negative stars. Followed U-haul’s procedures of turn in and received a call the next day the trailer wasn’t turned in. Called back and was on hold for 38 minutes to report they can’t control their inventory. Testament to the efficiency of Bragg Blvd’s to handle the simplest task. Avoid Bragg Blvd Uhaul at all cost. I called and made a reservation for a trailer yesterday at 6:10pm and told them I was coming from 30 miles away. I called again at 6:55 and told them I was almost there. I arrived at 7:02, but was promptly told since they closed at 7pm they wouldnt help me. I was given the excuse their systems shut down at 7pm. Very peculiar since there were still people inside that they were helping. No customer service skills here. Save yourself a huge headache and go elsewhere. I had to give a star since theres no lower marks.

Customer service is nonexistent. I had TWO appointments here that my truck was taken to & the first time they didn’t have the part. The second time they said the part was there but the guy had a family emergency and had been out since sunday(this was tuesday) and they knew he’d be out but they “didn’t have time to call” and let us know. Then when the part was asked for so we could install it ourselves it turns out the part wasn’t there after all. And to make the deal even sweeter this part was expedited and extra money was paid to have the part in faster. Nobody has a clue what’s going on over there!!! Will never recommend!! Professionalism also rated a 0!

I rent a truck an year ago. They provided a broken one. The trucks containers door was not opened at all. We had to wait for a day to get it fixed. The fixer said that he has tried to fix it before but it was totally broken. This truck had an accident, hit by other truck, so chains for container door was totally broken. he told the place to not to rent this one but they just did. He said they did not even inspect this one. it was exactly same as he checked before.when we returned truck, we asked for an appologize but what exactly said to us is we gave you all an extra day, what do you want us to do? if you are trying to complain, we can put you on the blacklist so youd never be able to rent a truck from us. just pay and leave please. I was not even violent or anything. I asked for an apologize but this was the result.I had to pay extra money for my moving workers and I could not go to my work for a few days. Because the truck was broken so a day for moving was delayed.This place is horrible. Never go to this place;;;;

Got charged extra for a check in fee for self check in that I was not told about I was told I could drop it off after hours but no one told me about a self check in on a mobile device so I say that is doing bad business not informing your customers completely of your policies and procedures and I will not be using U-Haul ever again

I couldn’t give zero stars, or I would. I’m out preparing for the hurricane. I needed to rent a large U-haul & trailer to move my Case International Tractor out of an area prone to flood full of trees that look like they may fall. Being in the track of a catagory 4 storm, time is limited. I also needed a 20lb grill canister of propane filled. In case the power is out & we need to cook. I stood in the Long line for 10+ minutes. Straining to hold this empty tank. When sunddenly I was yelled at by the attendant behind the counter to get that tank out of her store. Which drew wide eyes as she acted as if I were about to destroy the entire business. I understand this could be a potential problem, but she should have held my place in line at the very least. And, not have been so “teacher yelling at the bad student”. There is no signage indicating that there can’t be propane in the store. And, my family owned the largest propane company inFayetteville for MANY years. It isn’t illegal to have/carry through propane tanks in a business. Only to store propane without proper safety gear, and placards, training, etc. (the business was Dalton’s LP on Pamalee Dr)Long story short. She cost the store about $700 in sales today. I came back in, everyone turns around half laughing at me. Who knows what she had to say. I’m laughing know. Knowing that she cost her store a huge rental. And, a crappy review. It cost me $22 to exchange my tank. I got a few lbs less propane, because exchanges cannot be filled the full 20 like a refill can. Due to mass transit. I know that sounds petty, but it’s all about being treated like an adult!

Waited in line with my daughter for 45 minutes. Thats not the problem. The problem was they didnt have her reservation ready when she arrived. They told us to go and move my truck to the trailers and someone would hook us up to the truck. Then we had to wait another 20 minutes to get the paperwork. The system they have here is not efficient at all. I rent a lot from uhaul but I wont from this location agaib.

The people here have been very rude and ignored me the whole time I was in the establishment. I waitied in the store for 20 minutes before someone spoke to me and I simply requested to get assistance to get my propane tank filled...15 minutes later no one showed up to help me so I tried to fill up the tank myself which im sure is not safe and not allowed fro customers to do; but since no one was maning the station or even trying to pay me any mind to try to stop me then I figured that that was my best option. I strongly recommend going to another location if you wish to get treated like a human being.

Although customer service in the office was helpful and not the problem, my problem was with the technicians installing the hitch/trailer wiring. Less than 6 months after moving, I rented another u-haul in a different location but when they attempted to connect the lights to the wiring that the Bragg Blvd location connected, it wasnt working. As the technician inspected the wiring connection underneath the vehicle, he laughed and said Wow. Whoever installed this wiring rigged the job. It was installed incorrectly, and was just zip-tied to various parts underneath the vehicle, to include directly aside from moving parts. The wiring was completed severed at one point, with open circuits at 5 different points in the wiring. The module was completely shorted due to this. In addition to being unable to tow the trailer, I was unable to move for 2 days because there was no u-haul location that could fix this. I highly recommend renting your u-haul from a reputable u-haul dealer. Not this location who clearly takes advantage of its heavy moving population.

We’ve been into this facility three times this year and every time the staff was slow and had an attitude. Our most recent expereince, the truck we reserved online wasn’t even available AND the system was down NATIONWIDE. This location is always chaotic and in crisis. We walked out and decided to just spend our entire weekend making multiple trips with my husbands truck rather than beg a company to take our money.

UPDATE (for the original post, see below this one) Three weeks ago, I was extremely frustrated with a shoddy wiring job, multiple mechanical issues, a hole in the firewall, and a blown fuse. Yesterday, I got a check from Uhaul to pay for the repairs...more than I paid for the wiring of the trailer brake control originally. Thanks! I will probably not have them do any wiring but may rent from them in the future.Original post: Highly un- recommended. Horrible customer service to start with, followed by returning multiple times to fix the wiring that they did (after being assured that I could trust them), followed by a trip to another shop to fix the issues. Pretty bad when you have to go to a shop to fix the issues caused by another shop.

Made a reservation early in the month. Waited in line for an hour to get our truck just to find out our tow dolly wasnt ready yet and we will need to come back later. Moving is stressful enough and this just hasnt made it easier. After packing our whole house we went back for the tow dolly... Drove down the road and the tow dolly tire went flat. No one ever checked the tires or anything. I called and was on hold forever and then she just transferred me to roadside assistance... Well on hold with them 30 minutes finally talk to a guy and he cant find our tow dolly on the contract. Well he says he doesnt know when the people will be out to fix it. Weve been waiting an hour and nothing. We have more packing and cleaning to do and we leave tomorrow morning for w 12 hour trip to our new home. I will never use uhaul again. Especially after paying $900 for this headache. This customer service is terrible.

A very large selection of moving trucks, products and services ie tape, boxes etc. Usually busy, so if in a hurry, dont bother. Waited 35 min to buy packing tape.

Made a reservation for a 24ft truck and repeated over and over we needed it for 24 hours. When we arrived at 545pm we were told the truck had to be back by 8am which was not possible. The only compensation offered from the employee who pushed the blame off to another employee was that we could have a cargo van. Never dealing with Uhaul again. Their reservations mean nothing

Would not reccomend, 2 stars because the staff is friendly and they have good equipment, but they are deceptive. Advertise cheap trailers ($20something) but wont tell you that its $150 until you ask and have already swiped your card.
