This hobby store has a lot. They have parts for all kinds of RC. They have different toys and arts and crafts type things. Only problem I saw is they only have one knowledgeable person about RC cars and racing. One of the women insisted on trying to explain to me how a Traxxas charger worked when I had already told her I knew how. Went in another time to buy an RC truck and one woman convinced me to buy a truck I had thought about a couple of times but did not know much about the truck. Everything that she said about it was great was actually not great at all. She talked about it having all kinds of upgradable parts only problem is the basic parts that they had on the car should have already been upgraded for the price. You can buy every single other one that already has adjustable a arms. Im not upset that I bought it I should have done more research myself. Im upset because the woman portrayed it as being excellent when really it is not ready for racing at all and its going to require a lot of money to get it ready. I will continue to go back only because they have parts that I cannot find at Hayes.

I was trying to make a quick purchase, get in and get out of some US made filament for my 3d printer since they carry it locally. Went in, they had one pack left, so I grabbed it and went to checkout.The idea of grab and go, is not to be harassed, but pick it up, make payment and leave. Instead, upon asking if I had their coupon program, I politely said no, then they asked if I was interested in signing up, also saying no thanks. Instead of proceeding with the sale, they persisted to pressure me into signing up until I walked out.If this is an example of locally owned businesses, they should take a hint from online retailers and not bug their would be customers into giving more information than they wish.

Good selection of model planes and other vehicles. We were hopping to find a kite, they let us know when we could come back to pick one up. Nice staff!

I’ve stopped by a few times to get replacement parts for my Arrma vehicles. Great place to stop by if you need to do some upgrades or repairs.They have an amazing selection of Gunpla too and models other than their RC selection.

Good selection of models/gundams and dice. My only complaint would be that the most recent time I visited the woman at the register was not paying attention to helping me check out and instead seemed to be talking to a coworker about a personal matter.

Hobby shop has a great selection. If you’re wanting to get parts/batteries shipped to you, this is not the place for you. Employee screwed up with my battery purchase when I purchased my new rc. Store required that I drive two hours to exchange the battery so I returned it all! If you ask for a battery to be mailed to you, be sure you clarify UPS or FedEx for delivery as they cannot “mail” lipo batteries. Really thought I was going to have a good relationship with this location but after a phone call to them about their error and visiting them for the return, they don’t offer the customer service that you think a locally owned store would have.

This place is fabulous. There is something for everyone from novice to expert hobbyist. I always find something that is interesting and new and different. The staff are super helpful and friendly and willing to take time to answer my many and sometimes random questions about the items (games, puzzles, models, drones, remote control stuff and so much more) in the store. They have a back area that is set up for like-minded folks to play games on a large scale...so much fun to be had!

Very good selection for miniature games, RCs, board games, etc. Also, lots of stuff for younger kids. Friendly staff.

Refused to let my daughter and myself from shopping despite having health issues preventing me from wearing a mask. They seem to have no problem violating ADA laws. They should retrain their employees on ADA compliance to prevent legal issues such as this.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Bad attitudes especially the girl with the newborn baby. Everytime I go in there I wait at least 30 mins before anyone acknowledges me. It takes forever to get your car back from simple services. The rc mechanic Matt has a bad attitude especially when he cant fix something. It reminds me of a business being ran by pre-schoolers. They should really think about changing the way they conduct business or shut the place down. I will never go back. Its easier buying it online, atleast you can get what you want with out the bad customer service and attitudes!

This place is packed with everything you need from tabletop gaming to RC cars and everything in between. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was an interesting place to just hang out with all sorts of gaming going on in the back including X-wing and Warhammer 40K.

Above and beyond customer service. One of the managers didn’t have a part in stock and was happy to take a part off of one of their new vehicles to get my car up and running again. I definitely will be a repeat customer. I definitely recommend this place.

I got 3 batteries, and a prop for my Cub. One of the batteries was bulging and wont charge. I have to drive 2 and a half hours to reach the destination as it is my closest HT. Other than the battery, service was nice, and quite quick with helping me find what I needed!

Seriously some of the coolest people I have ever met... I wanted a quad that needed to meet a specific criteria, one of their guys Don spent 3 full days of his personal time to help me build a custom quad... All the while giving me instruction on flight and its capabilities.. Even going as far as giving me parts off his quad that I needed d helping me to build custom wiring for my system... These guys are top notch and I cant say enough about their hospitality for the 3 full days I was there... Thank you guys one vet to another....

I try to buy local but on this do yourself a favorite and just order parts from tower hobbies and avoid the bad attitudes and subpar customer service. Also you will save money and get your parts faster hopefully with out any defects unlike the ones I bought from here and was told I could call horizon and take care of it my self instead of them taking care of it.

This is Veteran owned, staff is very friendly great place for gifts for all ages. If you need R/C car repairs they repair them for a great reasonable price. I have been coming there for over 3 years and never had a bad experience. Just alot of fun with my hobbies! thank you so much for all you do!

Dont ignore me when Im at front desk waiting to check out.please. especially when the store is empty and your 3 ft away.thats rude. There not to social there either unless I approach them; if I ask someone who specializes in that preticular item there pretty cool tho and help you. That makes shopping pretty easy. Went in to find a solution for a radio problem I was having with my sons car. The guys took the time to assess the problem with me and immediately came up with a solution, put it in place, and sent me on my way with a working vehicle and no talk of cost or obligation. Man hands down the best place to buy a rc car the staff is awsome they go above and beyond to help you. I had a RC car that malfunction it was a factory problem. He took one of his own personal brand new cars off the shelf replaced my parts and had me back out the door in no time. They will have my business for a long time to come.

I think the best place in Fayetteville to shop/ask/buy rc cars-trucks and bots whatever you are into Im almost 99% they have it and have it at a great price And the acknowledgement of the product that you were looking for or asking about.. an are very friendly and very motivated to get u what u need or want and change or fix it doesnt matter no job is to hard for these guys they are amazing.....ty.

I cant recommend this place enough. Ive been going to HobbyTown regularly now for about 4 weeks as both a customer and to play games in the back gaming area. The entire staff, owner and employees both, are truly phenomenal. I cant think of a more friendly and helpful store Ive been to in years. No rush, great atmosphere, and amazing people that help above and beyond with assistance, service, and advice. Cant be beat.

This is an awesome store, my wife and I feel very comfortable leaving our 14 year old there with the staff to play Magic and X-Wing. They have taken time to help our son understand the games, helped me with r/c cars and are always willing to answer any questions you might have. I have no problem asking any of these guys any questions, no matter how stupid or novice the questions might be, they are always friendly and willing to answer your questions without making you feel stupid. So glad they moved to the north side of Fayetteville.

My grandson and I found it by accident. Its a great hobby store. I told several people about it.

So went in to buy a RC car today with the wife she was prepared to spend $500 on it for me as a Christmas present. The service was horrible 1 employee was just BSing with 2 guys that were friends another was dealing with a customer doing his job the third one told me he’ll be with me in a moment well 20 minutes later still no one helped me. The sad thing is not only would I have easily dropped $500 on an RC car I also play a lot of tabletop gaming and if you play you know this is not a cheap hobby models paint books. I was hoping to find a new hobby shop to spend my money and game at being I just moved up here to NC. Now I will have to have to start looking to see what other hobby shops are around.

Worse customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I was told to come back monday by store owner(mom) when her son (store manager) is there. Ive been a customer who has purchased several rd cars from them and was basically called a liar about a used vehicle I purchased. Ive never once returned anything. I actually wanted to get monies back from the rc and add an additional 200.00 bucks to that to leave with a nicer rc. But my business with them is now terminated.

If youre looking for model cars, tanks, planes, etc. Paints for that stuff or minifigures for DnD or other board games, or RC cars and parts for them. They also have a back room for games and game parties.

Awesome. Staff was very informative and patient when, I as a novice hand tons of questions.

The store is nice, very open and clean with a good deal of merchandise and hobby supplies. The gentleman who greeted me was courteous and polite. One of the owners asked me if I needed help and was also courteous. All that being said, I gave the store two stars based on one incident: I walked in and was looking around. I went to the Games Workshop section and looked at a few models and then I went looking for what I went there to find, a jigsaw puzzle. I was squared down looking at the puzzles (thats when the owner spoke to me). I was looking for something specific and they didnt have it (not their fault at all) so I looked at the plastic models for a bit and then left. I was wearing shorts and a black Spartan Race t-shirt. I have long sandy blonde hair, am a Caucasian male, approximately six feet tall and roughly 170 pounds. I did walk out somewhat quickly. When I got to my car I saw the owner had come out of the store (she had been in the back and must have rushed out immediately after me) and she took a photo of my license plate with her phone. I understand inventory control (i.e., theft protection) but that seemed a little extreme. Im a 40 year old military retiree; I dont need my character questioned in such a manner. I dont fault them for wanting to protect their business, but some suaveness and subtlety would have been nice. I wont be back. [Please note that I have been both polite in my review and accurate in what transpired. Maybe there has been a lot of theft there, I honestly do not know. I give the store itself 4 stars, but this incident was a sour experience and needed to be taken into account.]
