I have shopped at the Fayetteville, Arkansas Office Depot for many years with no complaints, but I was VERY disappointed in the way I was recently treated.I went in a while back to purchase an ink cartridge for my HP printer. I always like to have a spare on hand since I do a lot of business printing. I told the clerk I wanted the HP brand because I had made the mistake of trying to use an off brand and the printer instantly rejected it. He insisted that on Office Deport brand cartridge would work just fine. I finally asked whether he was willing to add a warranty note and his signature on my receipt. He said absolutely, so I purchase the store brand.Recently the cartridge in my printed ran dry, so I opened the seal on the new Office Deport one I had in my desk. Sure enough the printer repeatedly rejected it. The next day I took the cartridge, along with the receipt with the signed note from the clerk, to the store, explained my problem, and asked to have the price of the cartridge applied to the price of an HP, and I would pay the difference. The operations manager was called over, I explained it all again, and he refused because the purchase was more than two weeks previous. I explained that the cartridge had remained sealed until the day before, but he was in no mood to be reasonable. Goodbye Office Depot! Ill not be back!
Horrible customer service! I wouldn’t buy a thing from this place if it was the last store on earth!
Awful selection of products, store looks like it’s preparing to close, more inoperable shopping carts than functional carts, and the items they have in stock are grossly overpriced. Save yourself the disappointment and go somewhere else.
I ran in to pick up a printing order at the College Ave Fayetteville Arkansas Office Depot Saturday night right before closing. I imagine the workers were exhausted after a very long day and ready to close up. I stood in line behind a little old lady and witnessed the most precious customer service Ive seen in the past year at least. With all the stress this employee must have had today he treated her with dignity and respect when she couldnt hear anything he said. She even explained to him that she had her hearing aid in but still couldnt hear. It took her a little while to rummage through her purse to get the correct change while carrying on a discussion about her printing project. The employees name was Larenz and after watching a young man treat this little old lady with such respect and dignity I thought there is still good in the world! Thanks Larenz for being a good guy, we need more of you!!
Attitude. Rude. They are too busy to be friendly or help. I am referring to the copy center.I have to use their service often and not one time in the last 7-8 visits did I feel like I got good service. It seems as if they all hate their jobs and I am an inconvenience.I hope management will read all the reviews and make some good decisions on how to turn things around. Good luck.
I work for a local business and we continuously receive the worst customer service every single time we use this office depot to print. Save hours of your life and just use someone else for printing. No one is willing to help us, including the manager.
Unprofessional. Terrible customer service. Manager is not present in the store. I will not come here again. After 45 minutes, I still left and they lost a good business.
Everyone is always very helpful when I need something printed or faxed.
I went to print some copies and wanted their help and they didn’t seem happy to help me. They were very distraught they had to help me send the PDF to the office depot email when it didn’t work the first time. When I was asking about paper size to print out they didn’t give me any answers as to what sizes were fit for what I needed. All in all they were put out I needed printing help.
Mike Woodworth was quick to help me me find a printing solution for my store that saves me both time and money for my company, making me a regular customer! Thank you for your expertise I will always recommend the printing center!
We work with the copy and print center quite a bit at the Fayetteville Arkansas location. Davids customer service is outstanding. Weve sent orders over that needed a rush, particularly when business is continuing to change throughout the pandemic. The Office Depot team turns our order around quickly and everything always looks great! Weve really enjoyed working with this team!
Doesn’t make customers use masks even when using machines that customers will be touching, like the printer. I came in to print something after my printer at home broke. There is a local ordinance in place that requires businesses to deny entry to patrons who refuse to wear a mask. A customer at the printing station refused to wear a mask and the store associate didn’t instruct him to put one on while using the machine. There are nearly 220,000 dead Americans. You’d think they’d take this more seriously.
The so called operations manager has no clue what he is doing. In was as trying to find a cable to connect dual monitors and all he did was sit there and look at me. He had no idea what to use. I told him that the store needed to train their employees better. I asked who the store manager and he said he was. I asked again then he said he was the operations manager. He got an attitude with me when I asked him who the manager was. Horrible customer service. I will drive to another state to get what I need before I come back to this store. I have been coming to this store for over 10 years and I will not be back.
Have shopped here for years and generally have good experiences. They have a nice work and coffee station. I worked here for about an hour the other morning and pleased to see the Kerig coffee but never could get water for it. Usually good tech support people are on hand. Their in store app coupons are great.
Thank you for being helpful.
Not much selection to computers.
The absolute best shopping experience. Eli was responsive well informed and patient to explain differences in computer specs and the significance in overall performance. Eli went above and beyond to explain service options as well. I really appreciate the managers help as well. I will definitely shop here again
Came to this store on 4/19 a little after 5pm to mail a package overnight thru USPS. I needed the USPS envelope and the 2 men woking behind the print desk had no idea where they were or which one I needed. They had to call the manager on duty, Nick, to find out where they were. I had already found them myself by that time. After I got my packages ready to mail, I was told I had to create an account. Im assuming this is a new procedure as i have shipped from there many times and was never required to create an account. After 2 failed attempts at creating an account, I asked for help from the 2 men working behind the print desk. It kept asking for a token and neither man knew what it was. One suggested I use my own name as the token, but it failed again. Nick was called again. He had no idea how to help and the guys called an employee at home for help. After a good deal of time passed and other employees were called at home, I suggested they call another store. They had called the manager on duty, Nick, 3 different times and he never responded until they told him I was getting upset as I had been there for more than 30 minutes already waiting on them to figure out how to mail a package. They called the store in Springdale and they were finally able to help them figure out how to ship a package. Nick had finally showed up to help and by this time the store had been closed for 20 minutes. After almost an hour...they finally get 1 package ready to ship and it was the wrong price. I ship overnight USPS weekly and the size I was sending is $26 no matter the weight and they were charging me more. The manager wanted to weigh it...although I had pointed out on the package that it was 1 price, any weight. Then he was trying to measure it even though the measurements were printed right on the USPS package. After wasting almost an hour of my day, I left without mailing anything as I had zero confidence in their capabilities. Im not sure that had any idea of what they were doing. The 2 young boys were very polite and tried hard but were obviously not properly trained. The manager Nick, was rude and and seemed to lack the basic skills required for communication with the human race. He obviously needs retrained in basic customer service skills and well as shipping procedures. If you are going to offer shipping services, then your employees should be able to provide shipping services to your customers.
Had to use the bathroom and talk about NASTY! One stall didnt have a lock, the next stall had a major log jam. Needs to have a major deep cleaning!
Not very helpful when trying to look up a phone that I had purchased at the fort smith store. I was wanting to exchange it, it is an item that they currently carry. It should have been recorded with my rewards number but some reason the manager Lindsey wasnt interest at all. He was even suggesting that I had used the phone. Yes I did open it but I never took it out of the box. I normally spend $2000- $3000 per year on office supplies for my business but this store will not be on my list of suppliers.
Shannon was awesome, she was super nice and helpful made the experience awesome
Always very helpful ! Management goes out of his way to help you !! Friendly, funny, helpful !!A few younger staff still. Needs training in customer service but thats pretty much how ALL the younger generation !
I bought a computer 11/1/2014. It quit working & went blank 7/29. On 8/2, I took it back to store. Tech told me it was that the power source was not getting from the cord to the battery. That the computer was crashed. To replace it would cost so much, might as well buy a new computer. Heart-broken, I talked to my 24 hour techs. Per their suggestion, I called the manufacturer. The manufacturer guided me through resetting he whole computer. I called the store just to let them know the techs should not tell customers that computers are crashed till they try the reset function. The manager told be very rudely that they do not repair computers, only the software. Thats not what the tech insinuated on Sunday by telling me the computer crashed! He took on the role of saying the computer component between the cord & the battery was crashed. I just let the manager talk & didnt say a word. I didnt like his tone of voice. So when he finished, I just made a comment that he didnt have to be so rude & hung up. My intention was only that the techs shouldnt tell customers their computers are crashed when they dont know. Like my techs, they should advise them to contact the manufacturer & that they dont repair hardware. Thats all I was trying to accomplish. I didnt deserve the ill tone of voice. I certainly didnt speak to him in a bad tone of voice. My suggestion, just go the Best Buy. Hehehe...
Good office depot! I got an office desk and chair here for my apartment. Was quick and easy.
My friend and I went there to look for an item, while we were there we decided to try out the chairs and pens. But we WERE going to buy the item we were looking for. The first 10 minutes we were there, a round guy asked us if we were doing fine and I said yes. We stayed there for an hour and 19 minutes. After the hour passed, the round guy basically called me out and ask me if we were waiting for someone (keep in mind he was talking obnoxiously loud and embarrassed me) then we decided to leave;l. The whole time we were there, the employees just kept an eye on us, as if we were going to steal something. I did not like my experience at all this time. I usually love this place. I went on 3/19/17. Did not like the employees.
I love the printing services offered here! Helpful staff, knowledgeable, fast, cheap. Perfect for resumes!
The staff at the Fayetteville Arkansas location are so knowledgeable and customer service oriented.
Worst customer service experience Ive ever had. Had to drive to get money taken off a gift card from a refund to be put back on the debit card, and the manager, Heather, said that was what would happen 100%. Get there, nope doesnt happen. So now I have over $100 office depot gift card thats gonna be wasted cause i refuse to spend money at this terrible place
Its acceptable. I normally order off Amazon, but if you need something in a hurry...My boss uses their online service and I havent had any problems with it.
The lady, if want to call her that, was very rude and unprofessional. She handled this problem terribly. You need new staff here at Office Depot. Another lady just walked out and said she must have been having a bad day and was rude to her as well. If you wonder why your losing business this is why. I will not be back. I will also be returning my $337.00 worth of recent purchases. The GM needs to clean this mess up!!
I find the calendar and planner selection here is one of the most extensive year round. Not just at year end or when school starts.
Good place for office supplies and computers, but way overpriced for computer repairs.
Its an old building but they offer good service
Great customer service. They saved my bacon, when my printer ran out of ink before my replacement arrived.
Standard office depot but the staff is always very friendly and helpful.
I did not find the experience pleasing. My grandfather bought a printer that he was unable to pick up and no one offered to help take it out to his vehicle.
Always excellent service from the print services department
On more than one occasion, I have found the printing department to be exceptionally impolite and unhelpful. Zero stars for customer service. I will not be using their printing department again.
Service and help was great!!! Awesome knowledgeable and friendly staff!
Fast service and nice people but looks run down
Accurate and friendly staff, made my visit fast and pleasurable
It is always so damn hot in this store, the poor employees must HATE IT. I ROASTED TWICE trying to shop here. I mean its HOT.
I can usually find what Im looking for here, and most of the time service is good. But I have had some negative experiences with customer service also.
Awesome. Always helpful and knowledgeable. Austin is a pleasure to work with.
Excellent emloyees, top notch service!
Worst customer service I have ever had. The man in the printing department was incredibly rude and hung up on me. When I called back to speak to the manager, they put me on hold for 5 minutes and then hung up again. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy.
Chain turning into waistland like Road Wareior
Prices of toner were pretty high
Management, outside of Josh, is terrible. Yall are literally the worst.
Efficient, friendly service.
Great customer service!
Plenty of staff to help but checkout lines still seem to be slow.
