Bought a nice quality fringe suede wine colored jacket from them. It’s beautiful and unique.

Where do I start. They have the most ridiculous sizing and the clothes look great on picture but in reality it is very different and definitely not in a good way. They have a shady return policy and they dont give you a refund no matter what. They will only provide store credit which means you will end up buying more and more ill-sized clothes. Never purchase from this brand online. They are very overpriced for the quality of clothes and the sizing is a nightmare. Lesson learnt: Never purchase from a store online that doesnt lets its buyers write review for the products.

I’m not sure whether some of these reviews are paid or what, but I have had hands down the WORST customer service from this boutique I have ever dealt with from a small business. Over a year ago I placed a couple of different orders back to back, because their boutique clothing is anything but impressive. Nearly every item has a different sizing chart, their ensemble of jeans could be S, M, L, it could be 2, 4, 6, or 3, 5, 7. Every order I had something was messed up, have it be the quality of clothing being terrible, the size I got being completely not my size as according to the sizing chart, there were snags or stitches coming undone on a bodysuit at one point and they wouldn’t accept the bodysuit as a return because “their policy doesn’t accept bodysuits as returns”. Even though it had a snag and a main stitch was coming completely unraveled, never worn or tags even removed. I’m now left with a $62.30 gift certificate months after the fact, I never want to order with this company ever again. Many of my friends have had nightmarish experiences as well! Any time I do find something that I’d like to order, it’s out of stock in what would be my size, and quite frankly I’m afraid to order anything and have it come in and be a Shein level quality of clothing. They’d rather have a customer with complete distaste and this upset and unhappy with their experience than refund the $62.30 back to my original form of payment!! Don’t even BOTHER ordering from this company!

She reached out with personal updates and assistance along the way, and even sent a note when the item happened to be restocked. Run don’t walk! I have been a fan of their clothes, but never wanted to spend the money. Well I finally did and I don’t regret it. The stuff I got for myself fit perfectly and feels amazing! I got a lot of compliments on my bell bottoms and felt so amazing in them! Stuff shipped quickly and was exactly how picture showed them! I’m obsessed and will be buying a ton more!!

Was in love with this website, all there clothes are super cute and affordable, however trying to get in contact with someone to make a return is a Headache! I have been reaching out for 3 days via email and call, and am yet to receive the information I need to make a return. I was even asked twice for the same information, and I sent what they were requesting, but still nothing. Unfortunately, I don’t know if I will be purchasing from this company again due to the lack of customer service.

The clothes can be very deceiving in terms of what you see on the website and what you receive. Pay close attention to the type of fabric when purchasing. Size/fit are also really hit or miss. I’ve ordered a large that fits like an XL (or higher) and have also ordered a large that fits like a medium. Don’t be surprised if you have to return some items.

I love the quality so much, but I did follow the sizing and made my measurements before purchasing, yet I still cannot zip it. I’m a bit sad about that.

I ordered a pre-order item and wasnt sure if it would get here in time for my best friends destination wedding. I emailed customer service and they had just got the shipment into their warehouse that day and shipped my order out same day. Thank you ladies, I really appreciate it!

Their customer service is outstanding! I experienced a website glitch and an item was purchased without me being able to add the coupon code or my gift card. I spoke to customer service and Kayleigh couldnt have been nicer. Not only did she elevate the issue to a supervisor, but she also called back personally to let us know the issue had been resolved! Stay away from this place. I think forever 21 or Shein’s clothing holds up better than their items. I bought a leather jacket ($70) & within 3 brief wears it ripped in half. Southern Alternative is a great example of clothes that look great online, but are cheaply made and not at all worth the price. I paid $70 for a dress made from cheap fabric that was coming apart at the seams before even taken out of the packaging. Avoid.

Their customer service is HORRIBLE. I was a winner in a Giveaway Contest that they did on Instagram back in April of 2021. When I went to claim the bodysuit that I won, I never heard anything back from the Instagram page. I sent another message a week later.... still heard nothing, but the messages were shown as Read.... I emailed the Help email address in May of 2021 requesting an update.... still nothing. Its been over 2 months, and I have not heard from anyone at Southern Alternative or recieved the bodysuit that I won. Not sure why you would do a give away contest on Instagram and then not respond to the winner of the contest? Ridiculous.

Terrible experience with ordering from this company. Tried blaming USPS for their initial mishap which wouldn’t have happened if they had sent my item to begin with. This place is absolutely amazing! I ordered from them the for the first time and purchased a dress. It was wayyyy to small. So I returned it through the mail. They were so kind enough to reply back to my email telling me exactly what day they recieved it and that they have been on a delay getting return store credits out. There customer service is absolutely amazing. Any other person would be upset that there store credit was delayed or had that there purchase was to small. But I however was not. I didnt know exactly what size I should have gotten so that was my fault and the fact they are so kind in answering my emails in a timely manner Im not even upset at how long its taken. DO NOT order if you wear a L & up. i ordered the hope lace mini dress in red, size L & it came as an XS/S and now i’m seeing everywhere that they don’t accept returns. the material of the dress is also cheaply made, & mind you— it was a preorder. meaning it took atleast a month to ship & get to me which i would’ve been fine with, had the dress actually been true to size. ridiculous.

I have ordered many clothes from this site and been in love with everything! Great quality clothes and always ships quickly! Today I called their warehouse because I had placed an order last week and realized this morning that it was set up to be picked up from the store! (I live states away). When I had called and let the employee know the situation, she was very friendly, helpful and in no way made me feel bad about the mistake! She assured me that she would get it ready and shipped out to me immediately! I just got the confirmation from USPS that it was shipped (I called the warehouse less than an hour ago). Very pleased with not only the merchandise but now the employees as well!

Quality of the clothing are cheap and made of extremely poor materials. Its overpriced and disappointing. They try to portray a boutique feel but does not even compare to fashion nova. Definitely wont be buying from them again. Dont make the mistake I did, because you will be very dissatisfied with the quality. Their customer service is also terrible.

Clothes appear really cute but their shipping and processing time for in stock orders is awful. I needed the dresses I ordered for this weekend. I placed the order last Wednesday. Called them Monday bc the order still hasn’t shipped. Updated my address to where I was vacationing. Was told the order would ship out Monday or Tuesday. Wednesday I got a notification that my order has been processed and a label created. It’s Friday, checked tracking... the package still hasn’t been sent to usps. I could understand the delay if this were a huge company... I’ve never shopped at a boutique that didn’t ship an order within two days. Even their site says 24-48 hrs for in stock stuff. So if you’re ordering from here... you better order 3 weeks ahead bc you won’t be getting any of your items.

Ordered a dress in size M, and it ran very small. I asked customer service about sizing prior to ordering, and it took them 2 days to respond and by then sizes were selling out. The medium didnt fit, and the quality felt very frail. They only offer a store credit instead of a full refund, and they deduct $4 from your store credit in order to get the free return shipping label.

I made a purchase this Christmas and the shipping was pretty fast. However once we got the item and washed it it completely fell apart. I emailed the company and was told no refund because my daughter washed it on gentle cycle alone but was supposed to hand wash it. Needless to say the sweater wasnt cheap but the material was. I was disappointed in the service and it took 5 days to get back to me. I googled the company for other reviews and saw many similar responses...ie cheap material, high prices and poor customer service especially regarding returns. This was a distressed type sweater but as you can see the material came completely apart. Will not order from this place again.

I accidentally ordered a size small dress from this store. I reached out to the customer service team but was worried about the size large that I actually needed in the dress selling out. So within a 10 minute time frame I ordered the large. I reached out to customer service within that time frame and asked them to cancel the order with the small dress. They got back to me a day later and said they could not do that and it would be for a in store credit - the team member said, we really prefer you to wait before ordering a different size. I told her my concern about the wait time and the dress selling out. She then decided to cancel both orders and magically refunded my money back to my credit card. I clearly stated in my email I did not want the order with the large dress cancelled. The customer service girl stated, You are more than welcome to place another order if you wanted! - And the dress that I wanted in all sizes IS NOW SOLD OUT. Customer service also hasnt gotten back to me since then.

If your looking for the cutest clothes, this is the place to shop! My last order I order 3 pairs of jean shorts and 3 tops and needed to return one pair of the jeans. I first emailed them on 6/12/19 because an item i received completely fell apart. WHILE I WAS WEARING IT. Ive had to consistently follow up because no one EVER got back to me. Every time I followed up, it was just so sorry for the delay. im so sad this is happening. This has been a terrible experience. I understand when a company has a no refund policy, but I wouldnt expect that to apply to items that are defective. Worse place I’ve ever ordered from and the only place I’ve had to write a negative review. On top of taking forever to send my clothes, the shorts I ordered were completely oversized. That’s not even what really upset me, what upsets me is I have to pay to return my clothes and they will charge me and additional 25% and only will receive a gift card in return. Such a rip off. I always order the same size shorts when I order, these shorts looked as if they were extra large. Again that’s not even what upsets me the most, it’s the return policy. I purchased a dress offline when I received it looks nothing like the picture. I ordered a size medium but fits like an XL. I have ordered better quality clothing on Amazon. Ordered a cute dress, got it in and it was cute but was too small on the arms so i contact the shop to return it and you cant exchange it or return it for your money back which is fine. Instead You return it and then they give you a gift card to their store which is reasonable. Well i paid $42 for the dress and they give me a gift card for $36, how does that even work? I lost money returning this dress. I understand their policy and how they do things but if I paid $42 for the dress that should be on the gift card to use to purchase a different size.

This store is honestly one of my favorites, me and my friends have ordered things from the store multiple times. however, i messaged someone about working at this store. and at first, they were fine with it. all i was told was to message them when i was available to come in for an interview (had to wait because finals week and i was moving out of my dorm). i decided to go to the store and basically just show that i was really interested in working there. the girl i talked to was one of the rudest people i’ve ever met. i wasn’t expecting it at all and it honestly hurt my feelings, to the point that i no longer want to even give my money to that store. the clothes are cute, the store itself is adorable. but the one worker i met ruined it for me. get better workers, there’s no reason to randomly be rude to someone.

We stop in the store pretty frequently. My wife loves the items in stock that she wont find elsewhere. The staff are normally quite nice and helpful. My wife was able to get a custom shirt made that was beautiful, however it did take a while to come in. Overall, this store is worth stopping in if you have some time downtown.

This honestly is one of my favorite stores, however lately they never have anything in stock. I drove 20 minutes to try on a skirt that was just posted on social media 10 minutes prior to get to the store and get told they didn’t even have anymore. I’m not going to buy a piece of clothing online from a store that is in my town to have them ship it to me to then turn around have to return it and then their not be anything else to me to exchange it for because there isn’t anymore sizing left. It really makes me sad because I use to be able to walk in to this store and have so much to choose from, plus it’s one of the only stores I shop at and now coming from a retail background I feel they should order more sizing on hand of their pieces and I only say that because it would be nice to walk in the store again and have opinions as someone who wears typically a small. Yet I only get two days a week off and most of it’s been picked over. I love this store and I’ll keep shopping here as long as they have the cute stuff they always have.

I have bought several items from this store because let’s face it the clothes are adorable!! However, the clothing quality is not that great.. like I stated I have bought several items and as soon as I wash them they shrink.. The lining whether it be shorts or dresses is always longer after they have been washed.. I have spent more money altering these clothes because at boutique pricing you expect boutique quality. It makes me very hesitant for future clothing purchases which I’m super bummed about because I love the style but the quality is just not there. :(

I order my outfits on 4/20 for an event that was on 5/1. Before I ordered due to it being my first time ordering with the company I called and confirmed how long it took to ship out the clothes for two reasons because of covid going on and having no idea how long normal shopping would take. They told me about 24-48 hours, no mention of things being longer due to covid. I placed my order with shipping, 3-5 business days. Between the shipping and processing time it should have been here on Thursday at the latest. I never got a shipping email after a week, so i reached out on Instagram to see who to contact. They gave me an email, that someone should response within 24 hours, it took two days to get a response saying it had not shipped cause their shipping times are extended, this was on 4/27. I wasnt told this when I placed my order, She said she would get it the mail next morning. She finally reached out again, then she shipped it with 2 day shipping. I asked for tracking number, it actually wasnt dropped off till 4/29 at 4:45 and wont be arriving till Monday. I am super bummed after spending a decent amount on my order and it not even making it.

I pre ordered a dress from here and about a month later I went to wear it to a wedding and there was a hole in it. Unfortunately, they said I had to report that within three days so they would have to treat it as a return and I would only receive a gift card to their store. Very unfair that they sent me a damaged item and I won’t get my money back. Very gorgeous dress but make sure you check everything super close for any small tears because their customer service is not the best.

Ordered sweaters and jeans online for spring break. The two sweaters were extremely wide and large for a size small. I wanted to give this place a try but I am very disappointed and will not be ordering from here again.

Other customers walked in, she greeted and extended assistance, and when she was done she came back to check on me. I tried on several dresses and she was my “yay or nay” section! After a 12 hour shift in the ER, having a little fun shopping with a perfect stranger, was refreshing! I bought what I was looking for and have not been back to buy my dress due to my schedule... however, I plan on going back and I will be buying my future birthday gifts for my gals from this boutique! The love and war owner needs to refund everyone she stole from in the past. I would never support anything that was run by her. The BBB verified that the owner of Love and War clothing opened this store. I DEMAND A REFUND FOR ORDERS FROM THE TERRIBLE OWNER. I did order it in 2016 and on another post you did say that you havent had ties since 2016. Sounds sketchy.Reply: the owner of love and war is also involved with your company. I am not uninformed. Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service. I ordered a Halloween sweatshirt on September 23. It is now November 10 and I still have not received my order. I have sent 4 emails and only got a response to one and all it said was theyd try to figure out whats going on. It has been weeks since that email and Ive sent 2 more since then. $44 is a lot of money to spend on a sweatshirt to never receive it. All Im asking for now is to get my money back since its past Halloween now. Im honestly PISSED.. I work customer service so I understand things can get messed up.. BUT them not even trying to fix it or assure me that it will get fixed is what I have an issue with. I will NEVER order from them again.

While checking out, the manager (or owner) was incredibly rude to a group of teenagers shopping and trying on clothes during the Dickens festival and even called the police as she apparently suspected them of stealing. The officer told her he cant respond to kids just being in her store. As they were leaving she was speaking to them very disrespectfully and incredibly unprofessionally. I took my credit card back and left. For a local, small business, they should be mindful how they speak to and about their customers, especiallyin earshot of other customers. Ill buy my shower bombs on Amazon instead and wont be returning.

Super nice staff and if your buying for a girlfriend or wife just ask the girls and you will get something she will love...also buy something for your girl on a day other than a holiday to show her your not a sheeple

Such a great boutique. They have a great variety of clothing, assesories, and other cute items. I have been a few times and each time a different lady has helped me. They are always nice and offer great suggestions. My last visit I bought a bralette at the suggestion of an employee to help while my new tattoo healed. Very helpful! Great stuff that is always changing. Ill be back again soon.

I bought a dress from them and it came really fast. I tried it on the the zipper is broken. It doesnt even try to move. Ive emailed them multiple times and nothing Then I emailed there instagram page. The person message me back said she was so sorry and that she will have someone email me back and that she would email me the next day to see if anyone got in touch with me. Havent heard from her and its been like two almost three weeks. Ive been waiting for a email for about two months. And now my dress isnt on there website so Im stuck with a broken dress.All there clothing is so cute and I would love to buy more but with my experience Im never going to buy from them, which sucks.

I am so disappointed... the supposed owner of this shop also owns love and war clothing which seems to be a scam front now. My wife has been waiting months for items she was already charged for Sam! And no responses to any emails. Ive found SO many other people with the same issues on BBB and found other review sites! I hope this store isnt a scam as well. Its never to late to make it right and do the right thing. 😞

I would like my refund for the tank top I ordered over a year ago from your Love and War clothing website. I ordered it 2 months before my brothers graduation from BMT. I never received it. Y’all ignored all of my emails and phone calls. Now the site doesn’t exist. I recently found out that your owner now owns this shop. How could you do this to military families? You claimed to be a proud army wife.

This is a great female fashion store! They have a very stylish selection to choose from. Its exactly what Fayetteville needs. The prices can vary but it is not cheap (Forever 21, Rue21, or any of those type of stores), but can cost anywhere from $ to $$$. I havent bought any of the shoes but they are very cute. They offer a rewards program as well for each dollar spent.They do carry some household decor items, mens& womens hygiene items. It has a great location downtown.

Very rude sales clerk. She was hateful to a group of teens in the store last night. She called the cops. Many customers left after witnessing how they were treated. The officer spoke to them and said the lady must just be stressed. Whatever her reason, she was very rude. I will never shop there. I messaged them on facebook to report the incident and they blocked me. No apology.
