Very cute and quaint!Masks are required with I appreciate.Coffee is top shelf! Many types to choose from regular, cappuccino, espresso just to name a few, with many flavors to choose from.Rude Awakening also provides Regular milk and milk alternatives such as Soy, coconut, Oatmeal, and Almond. They have a great selection of Vegan an Gluten free cupcakes, NY style cheese cakes, Vegan and regular Chocolates are available as well.Very cute shop not to go and check it out and its location is wonderful.
First time visiting today and got the best coffee ever. Perfect brew, no burnt coffee like at the green mermaid. Good job y’all.
This downtown gem is my first stop when I want to shop downtown. The funky vibe and wall art will keep you entertained while you wait for the drink. As a non-coffee treat, be sure to check out the Mexican hot chocolate!
I came to get some coffee from this very highly recommended Rude Awakening Coffee house. I came with a friend and she has been there before and stated their coffees are amazing. I ordered something for myself and for her and the customer service was terrible. When we first walked in and came to the register the lady did a deep sigh. My friend and I looked at each other and dismissed it. She took our order and was very rude & unfriendly. When we were getting ready to pay I told her my friend has a loyal program with them and she was very rude and her nonverbal spoke louder than words. While we were waiting for our drinks to be prepared a handful of people walked in at one time. They were standing there for about 5 mins. Her demeanor was the same and was rude to the next clients behind us. She said “if you can move the line this way” while she slammed something on the counter. Most definitely an unpleasant experience.
They are rude alright. I choose not to cover my face with an ineffectual cloth and they told me they would not serve me. Then they had the audacity to try and sell me one. Whatever happened to freedom of choice??I’m glad they do enough business that they feel they can turn away a customer. I know a lot of people in this town that feel the way we do regarding our personal freedoms. This world has a way of giving you back what you put out there. I hope their false, misguided, uneducated beliefs were worth the karma.
A coffee shop that also doubles as an eclectic shop with some local flair. Its one of the mainstays of Downtown Fayetteville that always has people around. With COVID still in effect, sitting within the store isnt very viable, but you can grab an outdoor seat. Its pretty cool inside though with all of the random novelty gifts for purchase. Its definitely a cozy space, but is welcoming. They also have desserts for sale that vary with the selection. I ended up getting their cheesecake that had some caramel topping and nuts. It was a good cheesecake. The coffee is pretty good too. I ended up getting a mocha iced latte and enjoyed the strong coffee taste that did not come across watered down.Overall, its a good local coffee shop that has a lot of local resources and random things. Check it out if youre in the area!
Not too bad of a place. Coffee is good and decently priced. The only down side is when you are at the counter ordering/paying you are really close to the wall with not much room to let someone walk by without becoming intimate with each other. The other issue is after dark the homeless people like to come up and ask for money while you are sitting there trying to enjoy your coffee. Most are harmless but some can be quite intimidating. My best suggestion is to go early enough while the sun is up or at least be prepared for the night rush.
A little disappointed they didn’t have croissants first thing in the morning. Like how are you out of croissants at 8 AM already? Which tells me that their pastries arent fresh but left over from the day before. But the courtyard is great and people tend to hang out in the patio sidewalk out front. Their offerings of drinks are pretty awesome. And their honey infused sticks are phenomenal. I love them.
Amazing coffee and a cute store itself. I had the white choco/toasted coconut coffee freeze. Best coffee Ive had in a while. A little on the pricey side but the quality makes up for that.
This place was quite nice. A little on the small side, kinda cramped. I didnt actually get anything...... I went specifically for some baklava, but they didnt have any and apparently dont sell it anymore.... even though there is a picture online:( A little disappointing.
One of my favorite coffee shops in all of Fayetteville. The place is decorated with coffee everything and the people that work there are always whipping to help make a choice from their menu.
Very reasonable prices! I had a frozen lemonade with passion fruit and it was amazing, definitely stop by and enjoy their beautiful courtyard in the back!
Extremely disappointed in this place. Drinks were nasty but let’s talk about how nasty the service was here. Sent my bf in on Sunday for late brunch coffee and the “drink maker” wanted to argue with him about the description of the drinks as well as insult him for what he ordered. A simple iced hazelnut macchiato(a layered drink with almond milk due to a milk sensitivity). Would never recommend this place to anyone.
Excellent breakfast right on Main St! After a good walk on Greenway, we stopped by here for breakfast at 7am. The owner welcomed us warmly and it felt like we were visiting family. We ordered thr Avocado toast, eggs and Lattes. Trying the homemade hot sauce was a real treat. Generous servings, great presentation and high quality food. Will definitely return.
Crammed full of history and quirky gifts. The cappuccino is spectacular. The service friendly and personal.
The staff friendly and very talented. The environment is cozy and one of a kind. You havent experienced downtown Fayetteville til you have visited rude awakening.
Great sandwiches and sweets with coffee. Very good service
Very enjoyable experience. The pastries/deserts were very good. Quirky atmosphere that is a fun downtown experience.
Decent cup of coffee in Fayetteville. Cool shop and atmosphere in downtown. Service was lacking which would have made the experience better. Great hours.
Everyone here is so friendly and welcoming. The Coffee is fantastic, the [coffee] drinks are fantastic, and the spot is in a fantastic location in downtown Fayetteville. This is a small business that should have the communities full support of. 10/10.
Interesting Atmosphere. Lots to look at. Coffee was delicious. In downtown so grabbed my coffee and headed out to walk the streets and enjoy it.
Unwelcoming. Traveling with my toddler and I’m heavily pregnant. I cannot wear a mask and I was asked to leave. All my little one wanted was a cinnamon and I was hoping to try a chai tea. Will make note that this place discriminates against those with medical disabilities.
Quick service for coffee and great brownie . Shady sidewalk seating. Quiet morning delight.
I live in Columbia, South Carolina, and often visit friends in Fayetteville, and I do not consider the visit complete without lunch at the Rude, followed by a flick at the Cameo next door (and a visit to the great used book store a little way down the street). I always get the bag lunch and weather permitting like to take my coffee al fresco.
Small on the inside but fun to be in and the food is great too!
Chill location.. okay food and okay drinksTbh a great place to have a first date.
Loved it! It was our first time in and honestly I went because I heard they raised salaries because of how hard covid-19 had hit the community. I like to vote with my dollars at a business that cares about its employees. Bonus was the food was absolutely delicious! It was a brutally hot day so I ordered a frozen pink lemonade. The woman working told me they had two others - strawberry and a special. I cant remember what it was but I think it was summer melon or something. I took her advice and it was a really great flavor! Im so glad I went for something different. I also got the key lime pie, which was rich and tangy. My husband got a Chai tea and a slice of cheesecake. Im not a huge Chai fan, but it was very tasty. The cheesecake was very good. Im not big on cheesecake either because its often so heavy, but it was very much New York style in the sense that it was thick and creamy without feeling like youre chewing on a brick of cream cheese. We will definitely be back!
Great coffee. Small but interesting stuff. Gr ees at place to pass the time in downtown fayetteville.
Cutest coffee spot in Fayetteville, the girls are always so sweet inside.
Drove all the way from Ohio for an Addictive Nikki! Perfect amount of sweetness. Will always stop by when I’m in town, I’m never disappointed!
Very nice place very friendly people and great coffee I would highly recommend coming here to get your coffee
Great walnut cheesecake, cool decor, outdoor seating and decent lattes - espresso could be a little stronger. Overall, it was great experience.
Very good chai tea...maybe the best
Favorite coffee shop. Baristas are friendly and the back patio is serene. Variety of treats. My favorite hot beverage is Mexican spice.
Cool vibe. Only place in the world that charges for honey and then doesnt say anything. Food and coffee is ok.
Great coffee and coffee food…and atmosphere. A Fayetteville original.
The vibe of this coffee house is very vibrant and alive. Their signature coffees definitely reflect the passion and love they put into creating them. My favorite of all, is their Caramel Rose latte ... iced or hot. (Depending on weather) . So sad to be moving and leaving this place behind. I highly recommend Rude Awakening.
Rude is the only part they got correct. Pickings are slim in Fayetteville, but there are far better. Coffee shop across the street offers better service by leaps and bounds.
I loved the cold brew with butterscotch shot..1st time going and the staff was awesome and cute little shop with cool stuff to buy.
Best coffee in town in my opinion. I lived here for awhile and Rude Awakening was my go to. Had to come back for business and Rude Awakening is still the best cup of coffee outside of my own house.
I hope I am spelling Nikki’s name right, because that’s how I spell my name. I go by Nikki as well. She makes THE BEST drinks ever! Her signature drink is amazing. I got a lavender vanilla frozen blended latte with extra lavender and sweetener and it was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! It’s my go to drink when I go. I usually ask for extra lavender and sweetness and it’s always good, but when Nikki makes it, it’s OUT OF THIS WORLD! The atmosphere is on point. I love the little courtyard in the back. It’s very peaceful and just super cozy. Rude Awakening is the only coffee shop I go to now! I ADORE that place so much!
This place is a true gem! They offer gluten-free and vegetarian. So many choices. Cant wait to come back and try more!
This place is trash. Both the coffee and the customer service. Go across the street if you want your hard earned money’s worth.
I ordered an iced breve espresso with sugar free pumpkin & sugar free brown sugar.. it tastes like pumpkin cream cheese! Which is amazing bc I dont like regular plain pumpkin spice. I appreciate the fact that they have many sugar free options! So many places only have sf hazelnut and vanilla... I also love that they are trying to reduce the use of plastic with paper cups and paper straws... the cups arent esthetically pleasing BUT the cause is more important... as some other reviewers seemed to not comprehend (*rolls eyes*).. Thanks guys!
Best coffeehouse in Fayetteville! I always order an addictive Nicky, if you haven’t tried it you should!! The staff is really cool, always helpful and you can tell they really care about there customers. There’s seats outside, inside and in the back! They are open super late and I can always count on them to make local coffee worth the price. I will be moving soon and will honestly miss it here, I have tried to find a local coffee place like it but I have had no luck at all! Rude Awakening is truly one of a kind. A definitely great stop on your stroll thru downtown.
Wonderful coffee shop downtown, great customer service 😀
A very relaxing, friendly place to enjoy your morning coffee.
Great place for a quick cup of Joe. Super friendly staff. Stop there every time I go to Fayetteville to visit my 100 year old Dad.
Amazing sandwiches and the staff was great. They are taking precautions seriously and it felt safe to order and eat outside.
Got a gift card from work for $20 and it covered a cut of coffee
Rude awakening coffee house is a gem in Fayetteville. The outdoor part is so cute and welcoming, the staff there is very kind and the coffee is great. I almost always stop here when I visit downtown.
Ordered 3 drinks to find a bug in my coffee. No refund no apology. Drink here if you choose.
Really good coffee, delicious dessert, but a little slow on service.
Horrible. $25 for 3 pieces of mint cheese cake and 2 iced coffees that tasted like eating old coffee grounds. Horrible. Ill NEVER go back. In my opinion it should be closed down for ever.
I wasn’t sure what to order so they recommended a latte with coconut in it and home made whipped cream. I don’t know what else was in it but it was perfection.
Coffee was great, sandwich was good too!
Good drinks better service.
Breakfast menu has items that are never available, even if you come when they first open. Spinach and feta croissant, which is really great, hasnt honestly been in this coffee shop in over 15 years. Better off getting breakfast elsewhere.
Great coffee but honestly better service. Never tried the food but loved the service
Its a great little place to get your coffee fix. Love the lgbtq support as well. Good vibesThey made me a cute little santa claus as well!!!
Always excellent experiences.
Cute coffee shop at downtown
Very nice local owned little shop
Super nice people. I absolutely love coming into such a welcoming environment. My friend its a regular and they greeted her by name which is amazing, and they treated me with the same respect. The coffee and food was so good as well, but I would go just for the environment! Definitely going back soon
I don’t have any comment on service or product. I was just confused :/ walked in and didn’t know where the line began :( then I thiiiiiiiiink the menu was on the floor. Just was confused. Didn’t know what to do.
I love love LOVE rude awakening! the vibe is on another level and the mexican hot cocoa is always a good choice :)
Cute little cozy eclectic coffee shop in the middle of downtown. I love its hip vibe. Staff is always friendly. The cheesecake and the coffee are delicious. Chairs and tables outside are pretty cool during chilli days. Been visiting since 2004, we moved out of town, and always stop when visiting town.
Love how nice staff is and the coffee is amazing❤Love how everyone buys my dog treats as well💕
Great vibes and coffee.
This place has great coffee and excellent sandwiches. It is amazing what adding a tomato and lettuce to a sandwich will do. The staff are always polite and helpful when I go for lunch and an afternoon coffee pick me up. They also have free wireless for their customers which is very convenient.
I had one of the most raciest experiences of my life at this shop! The owner screamed at me because I brought in a biscuit from another place. I had been there a few times before and the coffee was okay nothing to rave about. At the time I did not pay much attention to the shop down the street. I asked for my money back since I was verbally insulted. He could of simply and calmly said we do not allow outside food here. I would of grabed my coffee to go and said I understand didnt mean any harm. It was my birthday and I just wanted to enjoy a cup of chai tea and a biscuit. He called the cops because I wouldnt leave till I got my money back. The cop agreed the owner was in the wrong but there was nothing he could do to help me.
Cute patio in the rear equipped with heater.
I always come here and ask Nicky to surprise me and she never ever disappoints! 10/10 would recommend to everyone! They have something for everybody
The staff was nice. The brown bag lunch wasnt really all that the reviews made it sound like it was. It was pretty basic and didnt include a drink. For a little over $6 I got a croissant sandwich, a cookie and a choice from 3 types of chips or a fruit cup. The sandwich was pretty good though, I must admit. It would be worth the money had it included a drink. Other than that, nice environment and nice place to relax.
Good coffee. Small. Best for outside or to go.
Eclectically deviated with lots of memorabilia Rude Awakening restaurant has been in place for decades. The coffee was okay but nothing to rave about. Planning to revisit the place when covid 19 restrictions are relaxed to sample some the food as well. Friendly staff and quaint atmosphere
I love the friendly service and personality and atmosphere of Rude Awakening. You can sit inside, out front on the sidewalk or in the courtyard for a more intimate feel. This is my favorite local coffee house. 💖 Oh, I forgot to mention the great coffee and other treats!
Nice outdoor seating, yummy confections and pastry selection, local honey, and retail items for sale as well.
My favorite favorite favorite coffee house in the area! Staff is super nice and I would absolutely consider them friends of mine 🙃 They have an excellent selection of whole beans, and the pastries are top notch. Definitely recommend stopping by on your next trip downtown.
Wonderful experience today as always! Jeanette and Keisha were working today and the coffee and sandwiches were made to perfection! Super sweet ladies and beautiful atmosphere. Today my friend Jenny and I sat in the back patio area for the first time. Such a beautiful, rustic, historical feel!By the way try the sweet pickles on the sandwiches! Im a dill pickle kinda girl but decided to give them a try. Yum!!
