Ive bought two cars from this dealership and the sales people are top notch. We have been disappointed the last two trips to the service department. The first time earlier this summer we waited more than two weeks to get the car looked at (on each of the last three days they said they would get to that same day but they didnt and they didnt keep me informed. Last week we took our SUV in for a 50k service and they told my wife, both passenger side tires have screws and are too close to the sidewall to repair -(this text is per our customer receipt). They said we needed 4 new tires because we have 4WD. My wife called me and I said to hold off, we havent had any low pressure warning alerts and we have relatively new tires (under 20k). I took the car to Firestone, where I had purchased the tires) and there were no screws or nails found on either of the passenger side tires (they did find one screen dead center on the front driver side tire which was easily repaired). I asked them to check it twice for screws/nails on the passenger side which they did. Those tires are in perfect condition.

The service is always good BUT why make an appt when you keep someone’s car, without telling them, for a full week. Dropped off car on Monday morning and after several calls finally received a call back on Thursday that car was just going to be looked at on Friday!

I have given Volkswagen of Fayetteville five stars for their customer service. I didnt actually purchase a vehicle from them. I had one ordered and due to the chip shortage it was cancelled. Tommy, the GM is knowledgable, kind, and he communicates well! I wish I could have actually bought a vehicle from Tommy but regardless his service never wavered.

Great trade in value for my older vehicle as well the salesman was great in showing everything newer compared to my older vehicle.The final closing of loan was made easier with a well versed man able to explain everything in detail as well even gave a flash drive to make it easier to read all contracts on home computer. Things are so simple in today’s world. My thanks to the owner manager’s as well all salespeople’s and hard working service. This makes second car I have brought..Trust in first visit and after years the second was super fast and made easier as well as fast. Thanks for the free water, was great on the hot days.

I’ve used this dealership a couple of times, it’s a little far away, a little pricey, but my previous service was great and I felt the team cared about my car. Service was fine this time, so I had planned on getting the recommended brake repairs done at the service department too. I’ve had my beetle for a few years, I purchased it through Crain in Bentonville. I was planning to purchase another car through this dealership, but the vehicle sold after I was told it had not been through the shop and I would be contacted Monday for purchase arrangements. I am actually in the process of purchasing 3 cars (1 for myself and 2 driving age kids) I still plan to buy them VW’s as we love our bug and our vintage VW micro bus, but after this, they’ve lost the future service on all my cars as well as this sale and future sales. Cars are a long term relationship, it’s also a business. Business relationships (like all relationships) are based on trust and I can’t do business with someone I can’t trust.

A month ago I contacted Hunter Smith about testing out a passat and an Arteon. I showed up at the agreed upon time, he had both cars ready, told me a few basic things and off I went on my test drive. At the end of the drive I informed him that Im looking at a few different cars, and if ultimately I decide to go with VW Ill let him know. A month later I messaged him with my #s, an hour later he got me the payment I wanted, and in less than 1 hr the next day he and his finance manager Bradon were able to get me exactly what I wanted without any hassles. I dropped my car off at the dealership (which is 25 minutes from I live) on Friday. On Monday they diagnosed that it was either the fuel pump or fuel filter and suggested replacing both. They said they ordered the parts and if they came in on Tuesday it would be a quick job and they would get my car back to me Tuesday evening. The dealership contacted us on Tuesday and said they couldn’t get the parts shipped in until Friday, but they would get it taken care of right away. That was inconvenient because I was already borrowing a vehicle, but I I was OK with that. Here’s where things went south in my book.Friday came and they told my wife they had another job ahead of mine and that they would have to work on ours on Monday. Monday came and went and they told us it would be Tuesday, but it would for sure be done then. I called Tuesday afternoon hoping to arrange picking up the car only to be given the same story that they were still working on it, but it would be done as soon as possible on Wednesday.Thankfully I finally got a call on Wednesday at 10am to let me know they finished.When i picked up my car it reeked of gasoline and I found out later they left two work rags in the backseat on the floor, which was causing the smell.I was very disappointed with their lack of concern for how long it took and felt like I was an after thought more than once when it came to fixing my car.I will go out of my way to find someone else to work on my car in the future.The only reason I gave them a second star is because they fixed my vehicle and I haven’t had any issues to this point.

Paul was the best service advisor to deal with. When I visited the dealership to have general service work they did not have a part,, and Paul felt bad about it and did not charge me for the labor when I came back. The service manager on the other hand is a big disappointment. Not even sure how he is in management! He was not happy that Paul had done this for me, and even pointed out that Paul should have discussed this with him! You have an employee that goes above and beyond the call of duty and then you have this guy that destroys all the good will that your employee does. How sad,,,, and why would you even say such a thin in front of a customer? The service manager must be someones kid, or brother that was just given the job, thats how these things happen most of the time. Paul you keep up the good work and one day you will be in the manager position! .

Yes, the place is tough to get to, but, the service once you get there is pretty much worth it. I was stuck 200 miles from home on a holiday weekend, and had to get a jump start from VW roadside assistance. But, once I got it there, they fixed it in what must have been record time, and it was all covered under the basic warranty. I couldnt be happier with the service.

Only problem was that I used their online appointment scheduler to set up the Service appointment; however, the appointment was not on their computer at the Dealership even though I had a Text confirmation and an Email confirmation. If I could leave more than 5 stars, I would. Due to life changes, I decided I needed to downsize my car and start over. I began my search for new or pre-owned vehicles in June. Every step I took I was told I would need to put at least $5,000 down (due to negative equity) or trade for a new car with less features with equal or more of a payment. Both of those options were out of my abilities so I decided to keep my current car and muddle through. On a whim, I looked online and found a much newer car with 1/5 of the millage for 1/4 of what I paid for my truck. I went to Crain VW and fell in love with the car. Long story short, everyone there was beyond friendly, helpful, nonjudgmental, and most of all listened. I left with exactly what I came in for: a new car with warranty and a fresh start. I will trade again and encourage my friends and family to look at Crain VW before any other lot. I am forever grateful for the help they gave me! Thanks Crain VW!

Avoid at all cost unless you would you like for your vehicle to be damaged while it is in the care of this dealership and then have to the cost repairs yourself. After they had my vehicle sitting their lot for months awaiting a part for repairs i finally receive my vehicle back with major damage to the windshield that required it to be replaced at my expense because as you can understand we have no control of acts of nature as i was told. Also as they have confirmed in the response below my vehicle was damaged while in care and they have no intentions of making it right. So a good heads up about their business practices and ethics. Just food for thought.

Drove to this dealership from two hours away only to be told that the car I had made an appointment to look at and test drive was sold the day before. I got texts from today saying it would be ready for me when I got there just before I left for Fayetteville. If you look at there website right now the car is still listed and says nothing about it being sold. Absolutely worthless staff and worst dealership Ive ever been to, if youre looking for a car I recommend you go elsewhere. Sales guy who talked to us was alright and paid for a tank of gas for our troubles doing his best despite the situation he had no control over but Camila Rivero who I talked to to schedule an appointment did an awful job to say the least.

Had started the process to purchase a pre-owned vehicle and my salesman did everything to get me the best price, but while doing the financing paperwork I felt that I had to do more than normal to get the ball rolling so he could deliver my vehicle. The service weve received at Crain Volkswagen has been great.Theyve done everything they said they would do.The time in doing so was right on as they stated.We bought this car from a dealer in Ft.Smith & had such a hard time from them when the car started having trouble.Bumper to bumper 2 year factory warranty should pretty much cover all the things going wrong in the first 6 months or so.Right.Not to mention the first day or so after buying the car when only dr for a couple of days,it had to be put in the ft.Smith shop that we bought it from for 5 weeks due to a bent rod.Really,so unbelievable.Bill White sux! Dont waste your time I talked with the sales manager and text to buy a SUV from them a made a offer on it and she sent me a text and stated that they except my offer we told them we would be there Saturday morning at 9am to get it so we drove 2 hours to get there and they had sold it the day before. Pretty annoyed with the dealership at this point. It’s the only VW dealership in the area so I take my car here cause every other dealership or shop seems to have issues with VW. It’s a 2015 Jetta. I’ve been having some troubles with it starting, sputtering and dying. I call the dealership and he says bring it in so they can figure out what the problem is. I drop the car off and leave it over night. Never had any mention of a “diagnoses charge“ at all. Then when I was told that it would be $640 to fix the fuel pump issue I said no, I can’t afford that right now. They did the normal oil change and I went to pick it up and then I’m informed of a $125 labor charge that I have to pay but was never informed of this prior to anything being done. I also had mentioned an AC issue when I dropped the car off and this issue was never mentioned or reviewed. You’d think for $125 they’d at least review all the problems that were mentioned. So pretty much just paid $235 for an oil change.

Early in the process but overall impressed with this dealership. In about an hour I was able to get a tour of the dealership and drive 2 Jettas. My sales associate Alfredo had a great attitude and inspired my trust. I also met his sales managers Tommy and Joy. Both took time to listen and moved quickly to address my needs/wants. Lead service advisor Andrew provided fast and accurate answers to tech/mech questions. Halfway through the process I am impressed. Absolutely no pressure, this team is professional and works together very well. Inquired about a Tiguan that I saw on their website, told the salesman I could be coming in Saturday. When I arrived he told me that that vehicle wasn’t available for sale anymore and showed me a Patriot. We took it for a test drive and I told him I’d be back to look at it next week. He calls me as I drive off the lot and tells me Monday I could take it to my mechanic so we arranged for me to come back at 11. Monday rolls around and texts me at 10 if I’ll be able to make my appointment, I confirm. I arrived and waited 15 minutes only to be told that the previous salesman isn’t coming in today. The Patriot STILL wasn’t detailed or inspected when I came in the second time. I was not taken as a serious buyer and the salesman didn’t seem concerned with the issues the car had. They lost a sale today, a big thank you to Cecil and Justan for making this experience possible.

Purchased a vehicle fromThis dealership and would not recommend anyone to go there was told the vehicle was a full time 4x4 and come to find out I had purchased a 2wd ask the sales professional several times if it was 4x4 stated it was full time that’s why the switch was not in it went into insulin reaction. Of course one is always liable for their own decisions and responsibilities but regarding customer service; this place is average. Number one thing they lack is communication with the customer. They are great on communicating with each other but not with the customers. I noticed a shady type of environment and a lot of grey area within the Service Department.. Customer service is about lending a hand and informing within the type of service the customer is receiving, they lack both in this. Reason two the “technicians” should highly inform the Customer with a brief detail what has been done on the car especially if one is investing time and money. “Representatives” at the desk are not “technicians” there is a fine barrier between these titles. Which tend to mislead people! This is my two cents for a 6 figure building.

Overall, my husband and I were quite pleased with our experience here! Wesley and Derek are very informative, helpful, and friendly. Purchasing our first vehicle with VW Crain was not stressful in the least. The only reason I give 4/5 instead of 5/5 is due to the receptionist I spoke with on the phone when I very first called the dealership. I did not catch her name, but being a musician by trade Im a little hard of hearing. When I asked if I was calling the correct place, her response was, Yeah, thats what I just said, in an impatient manner. That alone nearly kept us from visiting the dealership, but thankfully the next person I spoke with (Wesley) was much friendlier so we gave it a chance. No regrets!

I had a car issue on the way to thanksgiving with the family and arrived at 445 to see about getting my car fixed. They were able to get me a loaner and send my on the way to be with my family and had our car fixed by mid afternoon the next day. All on a holiday weekend. Definitely thankful this thanksgiving for their quick service! Of course dealer repairs arent cheap but everyone knows that and you do get what you pay for. I know the people that worked on my car were knowledgeable about Volkswagen and they used the right parts. Thanks again.

My experience at Crain VW was exceptional from the moment I walked in. The facility is gorgeous and the people are both pleasant and knowledgeable. I was greeted immediately for a scheduled service appointment after parking inside the gleaming service area. The dealership has multiple waiting areas - all with modern, comfortable furnishings. This is a real split review:My salesmen Kenny Ford was awesome. Nice guy, very personable and a pleasure to just talk to and purchases car from. If this review was just on him and his salesmanship this would be a 5 star...Now Chuck... If this rating was based on him... I would give it 1 star. I have never had a manager be so rude about price negotiation. Though we settle on a price that was at fair market value his friendliness went out the door. It actually the first time I purchased a vehicle and the manager didnt thank me. Its obvious the guy runs a game of intimidation and is more worried about his profit margin and trying to upsale based on monthly payment than get a person a good deal in the car that they want.Overall pleased with the car and hope that I can square it away and chalk up the experience as catching a manager on a bad day.

AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE and I dont say that about very many things ... especially an auto dealership!! The associates in the repair department (Manny and Maria) very polite, knowledgeable and helpful. The Service Department completed the oil change and tune up in record time (an hour!!) and even found an issue I didnt know about. The surroundings were immaculate. They had complimentary coffee, bottled water and GLAZED DONUTS!! To top it off, they washed and vacuumed the car before giving it back to me. It was a very favorable experience. If you drive a Volkswagen and are in the Fayetteville area, Crain VW is the place to go!!

Apparently the phone lines were down at the VW dealership so the calls were directed to Crain Hyundai . I scheduled an oil change with the lady who answered and she assured me that I would be on the schedule for the service. When I called a few days prior to so called scheduled service I was informed that I was not on the schedule and they did not have any available for when I needed it. The gentleman at the VW dealership was not concerned how their miscommunication was an inconvenience to me. A paying customer who is trying to establish a relationship with a local dealer. It is unfortunate that this will not happen. I will say I do love my VW Passat. Great car

DON’T BUY FROM CRAIN!Crain Volkswagen of Fayetteville ruined our daughter’s Christmas.We had planned the perfect 16th birthday surprise ... a car, 2 months early, for Christmas.We agreed on a price on Monday, and they had 6 days to detail the vehicle and get it ready for pickup.Unfortunately, there was a major issue early on. The dealership reneged on the agreed-upon price when they learned we weren’t financing the car with them. We should have stopped the purchase then due to such unscrupulous behavior. However, we negotiated a middle ground and decided to proceed with the deal. Emotions got the best of us.But regrettably, the car wasn’t what they promised.Instead of a vehicle with “...a tiny door ding on the rear door... “ (I have the text) we arrived to a dirty, dented, and scratched vehicle. Additionally, it was missing pieces and only had one key fob.After questioning the defensive, irritated salesman, we complained to the General Manager, who agreed the vehicle was dirty and offered to clean it, but he stated he couldn’t do anything more to make it right. Clearly, they had zero interest in customer service or selling to us.I think these behaviors are the reasons why consumers are rushing to online sites for their car purchases. Crain Volkswagen operated in a very shady manner and took a special, once-in-a-lifetime experience away from our family.I’ll let you decide, but I caution all of you from ever buying from Crain. We sure won’t!Please share this warning with anyone you know in a market for a new vehicle.

I got a diagnostic from this place on my car for maintenance and repair and a quote along with it. I called around and compared it not only to other shops, but to other customers who had the same things done on their vehicles and concurred that i was being heavily overcharged.Not only will i never step foot in this place again, I will be 100% seeking the righting of this wrong that was done to me.

Fast and polite. Been here twice to get accessories and everyone there is always in a good mood. Drove from Fort Smith since the service department there was rude and wouldnt take the extra steps this place was willing to take. Ill use this dealer as long as I own my VW.

I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. Its better to drive to Tulsa or another place of your choosing to do busjness. This place wont their word on a shaken hand deal. If you make a deal be sure to get it in writing! Also make sure they share everything with you, new things kept popping up in our deal when doing our paper work. I wont be going back. I wouldnt have bought my wifes car from there if we hadnt gotten the price we did.

Visiting family in Arkansas and my brand new Tiguan purchased in Georgia hits a bolt in the road that was literally a foot long. It not only punctured the tire but went through the wheel. Manny in service took my call, listened to me cry, ordered the wheel and tire immediately so it would be in the next day. He stayed in touch with me and was so professional and kind! He knew how stressed I was and offered to wave the labor charges to help me out. I would highly recommend the service department and specifically Manny to anyone needing service on a VW in the NW Arkansas area!

The dealership is Brand New and its very nice!! I wish there were stools to sit on in front of the glass that faces the shop area, but at least there is glass there where the customer can see whats going on with his or her vehicle.

They were exceptional, my car broke down and I ended up towing it to Crain VW one day before my appointment. They contacted me and let me know they would try to fit my car in early if possible so they could finish it faster for me, the staff gave me multiple updates on my car and were very professional. VW Crain will be my go to repair service for a long time.

They sent me an e-mail insisting that I not fill out the surveys with anything but five stars until I tried talk to them about making sure I had a five-star experience. Well, I didnt necessarily expect a five star experience, and I didnt get one. I spent $1,000 getting a coolant temperature sensor and leaky thermostat housing replaced as well as vacuum leaks causing a check engine light which they said they fixed. However two days later the vacuum leak came back with the check engine light, and when I took it to my preferred mechanic in Carroll County they straight up laughed at the electrical tape patch job that the mechanics at the dealership head tried to pass off. There were multiple places where they hadnt even applied the electrical tape to the vacuum hose themselves, but rather the protective covering that encased them. Its hard when youre in a position of not necessarily knowing everything about the vehicle, and then at the dealership there is guy whose sole job is to communicate how awesome and complicated the work they did on your car was, and how good of a deal you are getting. And yet, this guy isnt doing the work so Ill just go ahead and judge their work by the results. Somewhere between laughable, and good work at steep prices. Thankfully I did not go for the $700 tires, because yes they needed to be replaced but no they WERE NOT showing wire as I was told and were available for under $400 at Worleys in Berryville. So yes after all this I still give 4 out of 5 stars because I feel like I was treated with respect and I honestly didnt expect any better. But I do resent being told how to give my opinion on surveys, so thank you Google!

Had the oil changed on my wife Audi. No Audi dealer close and they have $59.99 coupon for full synthetic. Not happy but I cant really give 1 star. They did change the oil. Just buyer beware. That $60 oil change cost us $90. Not sure why. Up to 5 quarts. I know her Audi didnt take more than 5 quarts. Sales tax should have been $6-$7. Watch out for hidden stuff from their service department. Ill go elsewhere. When I get my Jeep oil changed @ Lewis its exactly what the coupon says + tax when I leave. Let me guess, extra charge for the filter, lol. Oil disposal fee, labor. when you have a quoted price, stick to it. None of the underhanded hiden stuff. It was only $30 more. Not that big of a deal. Not the point. Time to trade. Wont be going there or any Crain. Honesty goes a long way.
