I have used this company for over ten years. I have NEVER had a bad experience and I’ve issued them for a multitude of items. They are quick, professional, and most importantly QUALITY. Also, I feel like shops are out to make a dollar but not this place. They are reasonable and don’t break the bank. We use them for all three of our vehicles. My crazy morning got much better after towing my car to Merlin’s. Car was pulled in and the work began; I asked questions and they answered in layman’s terms. I’ve been bringing my car to Merlin’s for some years now and have seen a drastic improvement. The staff is simply amazing which makes this whole ordeal better. I have been getting my car oil change with Merlin for the last 5 years. Great service.
Went to have an oil change done; had an appointment. The person that was supposed to be at the front desk never showed up, as my boyfriend waited at the counter for a good while to check the car in. The 2 guys working in the service area were rude, one of them extremely, almost as if he did not want us there. By their behavior, words, and other signs given, it appeared to us strongly that it may be race related, as we are black; therefore, we decided we did not want these people working on our car, and we left. Also no one came to check us in at all, although they knew we had an appointment and were waiting. My boyfriend had gone to this place once in the past and stated it was not this bad before, but we vowed to never go back!

This is my 1st time receiving service from Merlin. And I must say service was excellent they did exactly what the said they were gonna do in what I paid for a. Not only did they save me about 25% all my dealer invoiced repair but gave me an additional discount to help with the payment. You now have a new customer and I will always come back thank you so much to The lead Technician, Store Manager and Mrs. Loretta. And after doing a little research their prices on tires are comfortable and better in most cases across-the-board versus dealer and other brands!
They were super helpful and didnt try to sell me anything I didnt need. They were happy to show me exactly what was going on with my car and explain why certain things needed to be done or not. I have a Subaru and they have a certified subaru mechanic so definitely take your subbie there! They took good care of my car!

At 9 am, we took our truck to have some work done. We asked when they could get it done. They said come back at 1:30. My husband was there at 1:20pm. The guy told him to roll his windows down for 15 minutes to air it out (Im assuming thats for covid), and he would be right with him.At 3pm, the guy told my husband that they were going to close soon, and they couldnt get to it today. With an appointment.Wow.Are all shops like this? Especially a national chain?

Went to several places to find out why my truck was making an awful noise. Spent a lot of money in the process. Within an hour, Merlin had it figured out and helped me with my warranty as well. Steven Miller, general manager of Merlins 200,000 Mile Shop, has been doing repairs on my vehicles off and on since 2007. I exclusively use this shop now for all of our vehicle maintenance and repair needs. To begin the building is immaculate. The grounds are kept clean and there is always adequate parking. Upon entering the office area, I have always immediately been greeted by every employee around. Often finding Loretta waiting at the desk with a big smile. The restroom is accessible and is pristine clean! Steven and the mechanics he has hired are experts at what they do. They diagnose even the most obscure issues with ease. And they do it all! They are very well-mannered, professional, and honest. I drive an older model Jeep Grand Cherokee, Steven and his crew have repaired the door handle, the computer (PCS), they have replaced all my brakes and rotors, replaced the water pump, installed brand new tires, gave it a complete tune up, fixed heater core, and just yesterday, Steven replaced our throttle sensor. All of these jobs were separate and each time we received the same continuity of affordable quality work we have come to expect from Merlins. I brought my grandmother in with an issue regarding Taurus for which she had traveled to 10 other mechanics for and they told her there was no problem. One even told her that her car would have to break down before they could diagnose what was wrong with it! Steven listened to her concerns and promptly diagnosed the problem. She had an engine mount issue. He informed her it wasnt a high priority repair. She was so grateful and impressed he didnt try to up-sell her or advise her to make a purchase for unnecessary repairs. He serviced her vehicle and winterized it at an affordable price and won her over as a customer as well. I keep referring my friends and family. Everyone has been extremely pleased and impressed with the affordability, quality and service they have received at Merlins.

I have been a customer of Merlin Fayetteville since 1999. Since new ownership and management, I have been thoroughly disappointed with the inconsistencies. After todays experience I will not return. I took time off work and called and made an appointment for an oil change. Showed up on-time to respect whatever COVID-19 protocols they may have in place. I arrived only to be told by the woman at the counter (who I made my appointment with) that the car up on the hoist was going to take longer and they had no idea how long it would take. Lie #1. I chose to not sit and wait with no guarantee of being serviced. I waited 5 minutes in the parking lot only to see the car on the hoist taken down and returned to the owner. I went back in and said that I was still here, may I be seen. She then told me that my Honda Pilot was too big for the hoist. Lie #2. I told her I have been a customer since 1999, the days of Bruce and that has never been the case on any hoist. Then she said there was an issue with the hoist and it was the only hoist that could service my SUV. Lie#3. I would love to give a great 5 star review of a place that I have been frequenting for over 20 years, but not with this staff and the liar behind the counter. Patrons Beware!!
Steven was knowledgeable, kind and the prices were fantastic. Facilities were clean, customer service was excellent and he went above and beyond to make sure I was 100% satisfied with the work done on my car. This will be the only place I take my car to in the future.
Very bad experience came to this location for an estimate to get some work done on my car but the young lady that was working at the front desk was extremely rude because while speaking to her about my issues on my vehicle the phone rang she answered it the first time I didnt had a problem phone rings a second time she put me on hold again third time phone rings you put me on hold again and I was in the office and every time the phone rings you keep on putting me on hold and I was kind of upset because Im a customer speaking to you and is it was kind of disrespectful to have the phone ringing constantly I understand as a business but I was there also trying to get some estimate to get my work done on my car but I left due to the lack of management skills

Talking about customer service! I went in because my brakes were making a terrible sound. Being new to the area I was unsure where to go. I am super glad I went to Merlins! Steve did an amazing job explaining the work needed to be performed and broke down the cost for each item and labor. He realized it would be a costly job and did his best to provide the best service at a reasonable cost! Most mechanics try to over charge you for unnecessary work, but Steve did not! He was able to fix the issue without trying to up-sell me by claiming I needed more work. He treats his customers like friends. WE WILL DEFINITELY be going back for all services on all our vehicles.
Called in to get a full check on a car i had just bought, the man on the phone quoted me $20. When I went in they said $70 so I asked about the $20 I was quoted. The owner seemed very upset with the guy who said it would be only $20 but agreed to honor it. I specifically asked for them to check the fuse box and wires with it because of a previous problem the day before. Barely an hour later I get a call saying that my car was in excellent condition, doesnt even look like it left GA. But I know it was from FL then sent to OK.. But I went in anyway to pay and pick up my car only for it to break down later that night. I should have gotten the full inspection. Not the $20 inspection just because your employees dont know the services and prices. I would have easily paid the $70 if you would have actually done what you claimed you had. I will never be coming back to Merlins, and I had always brought my previous car there for multiple things. Neither will my family. The business has gone downhill since new ownership and I would expect to keep loosing customers unless you change the way you do things.
Steven took the time to service and fix my Moms vehicle and had her back on the road fast! If you are looking for a friendly and professional shop then this is the place for you!

If Possible I would give 0 Stars, absolutely the WORST Customer Service.They Spoke to me in a very condescending tone when I just questioned the installation of the the parts they said I needed replaced. I do not recommend this business by any means. BEWARE!
I have been going to Merlin muffler for years but for the last year or so my experience has been horrible. Yes their nice but they are not honest. My car was towed there and they said I needed a radiator and expansion tank. This would cost $1340. Also they stated they did a diagnostic test $79. Well I had my car towed home because the price was not affordable.I found a nice good Mechanic on wheels that specializes in BMW. To sum this up, i did not need a radiator or expansion tank. What I needed is a water pump. Im very disappointed with shops trying to take advantage of hard working people. Be careful and get second opinion before you spend your money.
Steve did a great. After my first visit my brakes were vibrating a bit still but I took it back and he fixed it for free and threw in tires to boot!
The new brothers who own this location are amazing! Everyone in their staff went above and beyond to help us. Dissected several other problems with the car - even though it wasnt a service they offered and had nothing to gain from it. Highly recommend using them. We will be back!

Steve and the guys here are definitely a person who I would recommend anyone to take their vehicles to because they dont lowball you and are the type who is straight up with you at the same time.. I just moved down here from West Virginia around a year ago and I have been here a few times with my car and our roommates car too and they have always taken care of us and I just took my car back because of a oil leak and Steve called me and said that its alot worse than that and he doesnt want to charge me for all of that work because its a older car and I will be better off buying another vehicle with the money he would have to charge me for fixing this one, so you just dont find a good mechanic like him and his team every day so I will definitely always have a place to take my car too for sure.. 👍👍👍👍

Are you considered a millennial? If so, I dont advise going here. Theyre very open about their feelings toward those who look at all younger than them. They support the police beating those children in the videos that come out. In fact, they should hit harder! Thats how it was back in their day! They think the kids deserve it, and the kids getting beaten are the ones who are ruining the officers lives. They dont see why its such a big deal for the police to take pleasure in disciplining people.Then after waiting for my car for over an hour, I was very bored, and I got on my phone. They were very frank about how kids shouldnt have phones because back in their day, kids would have to be patient, or go outside and play (all while looking at me)... Im in my twenties.Although they were somewhat timely in fixing my car, and had a decent price, I will never do business with them again. I am offended and insulted. There is an auto shop right across the street that Ill be going to instead.
They didnt know what was wrong with my car and charged me almost $500 to change spark plugs even though I had them changed less than 3 months prior at the dealership. The next day my car broke down due to a bad transmission.... Im not a mechanic but I thought it may be the transmission before I took it in for servicing...This place used to be very reliable and trustworthy. I will not go back here again.... I give 2 stars because the people were friendly..

I have gotten my cars serviced there before, never had any complaint- until now. I stopped in yesterday to make an appointment to have a couple of issues fixed. The young man at the counter looked up the vehicle, my account, appeared to take notes on his computer, scheduled me for 9:00 AM, in all I spent about 25 minutes. This morning I went in, arriving at 8:40 to drop the vehicle off. The lady at the counter first couldnt find me, then it became apparent there was no appointment, nothing was entered for my vehicles faults, it was groundhog day... I travel for a living, am out of town 20-25 days a month, I have so little personal time to take care of things; it makes me crazy to have a company blatantly waste my time- for nothing. In my career, if I do it to a customer, it costs me. This carefree attitude about wasting a persons time cannot be allowed to stand. I will find someplace else to start taking care of my families 5 vehicles.

I have taken my car to this shop twice, and both times they tried to swindle me. The first was for an oil change. One of the guys at the front desk told me all first time customers got a $10 oil change. When it comes time to pay they told me it would be $40. I brought up the $10 and they immediately backtracked, oh yeah, looks like you’re a first time customer, my bad. Whatever no harm done.The second time though, i took my car in to see if they could diagnose my squeaky serpentine belt. It only squeaked when i turned my AC on. They’re looking at it for 30 minutes and they come back and tell me my air compressor is going bad, and could break at any minute. They quoted me $1,100 to replace. I still have the quote. I couldnt afford it so i left that day, and reached out to a mechanic friend to take a look at it. My belt needed to be tightened. So, what was a 1-2 minute simple fix, they tried to charge me over $1,000. I guess they see a young girl and assume ill fork over that money if they put the pressure on and tell me my belt will break at any minute. Im sure they do this to anyone who doesnt know enough about cars. DONT GO HERE!
HORRIBLE!!! It went from the best place in Fayetteville to the worst with the new owners and new 2 brothers who seem to manage the place or should I say not manage the place. Been going there for 10 years under the ownership of Bruce. Been there a dozen of so times with my 5 vehicles since new ownership and each time its dysfunctional. From the condicending counter man to the brother in the shop who lies straight to you face. I have caught them in lies once again today and this time I have vowed to never go back. Its to bad because the place was once great. Today I was the first person in the shop and it took the tech more than 90 minutes to mount and balance 1 tire and was told by the shop brother my oil change was done only to find out for myself it was not. Shop brother said he was misinformed. Oh okay!

You customers ... be afraid ... be very afraid!Just because a person pretends to be nice to you, doesnt mean that he isnt an inexperienced rip-off artist that has no idea what he is doing. He just needs to sound a certain way to unknowing consumers, then he will take you for a ride that usually ends up with you having to bring your car back over and over until you get so frustrated, that you just stop coming.What you have here are dishonorably discharged, meth smoking, alcoholic, convicted felon who has found a home here because the new owner (who is of Indian decent) wont show his face in fear that the customers will not respond to him as well as a bull slinging caucasian.These people repair cars on the pretext that you will comeback with a complaint, then they will rob you for more money or blame a mechanic.A mechanic can only do what that the bull slinging person in charge says that they can do. Then the blame game starts were the customer always loses out.Especially Black customers. If you dont go in submissive, bowing your head and ready to give them a blank check, you get talked down to and run out of the shop.I was there when the Lady with the review that had the BMW and the so called radiator leak. They tried to take her for a ride because she was Black, saying that because her insurance company didnt cover the problem ... she needed to apply for that jive merlins credit.There was a Black man that had a general motors SUV in for an alignment. The rip-off artist told him that it would be an extra $234.00 just to adjust the rear toe??? What a joke!Its not just because he was black. There was a White customer with a VW Coupe that got a 4wheel alignment. The dishonorably discharged bull slinger said that it was going to be an extra $125.00 to adjust the rear toe ... when it is included in the 4wheel alignment price.There was a White Lady with a Kia Rio5, in which their inexperienced crew performed a real expensive tune-up on a [4] cylinder engine because the check engine light said #1 & #2 cylinders has a misfire. She still today doesnt realize that she was ripped-off. They installed [4] new spark plugs and [4] new coils. [2] weeks later she came back for the same thing.I was given the car and asked by the bull slinger Do you think its the computer?, before I ever got a chance to look at it (A computer is what he had planned to sell her next). I told the bull slinger that I was going to perform a manual compression test.I pulled all of the spark plugs to find that they install regular resistors with a Coil-over-plug setup (If you dont understand ... they were the wrong, cheaper plugs), rip-off! The compression test revealed that the compression in the engine that averaged [145] P.S.I. was much lower than the standard of [209] P.S.I. and the minimum of [175] P.S.I. (In other words ... the engine was worn out).Because they talk to this lady like they were old friends, she fell for bull slinging. Now you can get you another car especially after the bull slinger took $800.00 unnecessary from her. Why not ... they dont have the tools or the knowledge to do anything but guess, at the customers expense.In California, there is a Bureau of Automotive Repair (B.A.R.). This Bureau was design in favor of the consumer, which is great! It makes the Automotive Repair facility raise their game. If the shop does not fix your car correctly, you lodge a complaint, if the inspector agrees that you were right, the shop has to refund your money, and fix your car for Free.Georgia needs a Bureau like that. I mean ... who has the money these days, to waste on bull slingers (and there are a lot of them here in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area).Consumers ... make these shops raise there standards. Make this Merlins pay for all the people that they have ripped-off. Make them leave Atlanta Metro and go back to Chicago were they used to be that failing company called Merlins Muffler. Show Merlins who is boss ... The Consumer.
