I have had nothing but good experiences here. The optometrists and staff are very helpful in assisting with frame and lens selection. Although Ive rarely seen it advertised, they have regularly had in-store specials and discounts on frame purchases, which has also been a plus.

Had my eyes examined by the wife half of the duo that runs this place. I asked to try contact lenses and when my eye kept shutting when I tried to touch my eyeball to take the contact out she ordered me to stop doing that. I told her its a reflex action that I dont control. Like a drill sergeant she ordered me to do this and do that; stop doing this and stop doing that. Apparently she feels safe to treat the clientele however she wishes since she has her husband there at all times to back her.Then she assigned a young employee to assist me with putting the contacts in and taking them out, who was also not the friendliest (one suspects that employees that arent treated well may then not treat the customers well). That employee then put in the order for my eyeglasses and when I came back another week to get them I found she had ordered bifocals when I was supposed to get trifocals. The eyeglasses frames were also too tiny for my adult male head. This other employee who gave me my order said the frames only come in one size (that would have been nice to know before I ordered them).I gave up and went elsewhere. They never gave me a copy of my prescription.

I had my eye exam by Dr Prasad and she was Awesome. She is very knowledgeable. I was very impressed with how professional she was along with the advice that she gave me with my contacts. She was friendly and made me feel very comfortable. I highly recommend this office. The staff was very helpful when I picked out sunglasses and glasses, they have a great selection of both

Most of the women who work the front and answer the phones are the RUDEST and should not be the people who give the first and last impression of the business. The only reason I will continue to go there is my eye Dr. is wonderful, professional, and trustworthy.

Went in to purchase one pair of glasses but ended up buying two. They have a wide selection and the staff was kind and accommodating.

I called in and scheduling an appointment was easy. When I went to my appointment, I was helped in a timely manner. I ordered my contacts and got them for a reasonable price (rebate was also easy to file). Everyone was polite and I didnt have any issues working with anyone.

There is a Tall older lady with short hair that works at the 13th ave Fargo location. She is so rude. And does not know what she is talking about .. DO NOT GO TO HER. Your glasses will be all messed up .

I have been to seven places in Fargo to purchase a pair of glasses. All 7 places would not accept my insurance, let alone even look at my policy. When I got To Sterling Optical, Julie greeted me and walked around the store with me to pick out the best pair! She spent at least 20 minutes watching me try on frames and showing me how to find the best fit. I found a pair and explained to her that I have to have an itemized receipt to self submit to my insurance because no one can take my insurance. She went out of her way to contact my insurance & send them the claim for me & add it to their system. She explained the benefits of the lenses & even told me which ones they had in stock. I ended up leaving with the glasses that SAME day. I was so impressed with my experience at Sterling and will definitely purchase glasses from them in the future.

Dr. Prasad takes her time with you and doesnt rush. She is thorough and knowledgeable. I would recommend her to anyone. The optical staff was friendly and helpful. They have a decent selection. Overall I am pleased with my visit and after care.

Ive had great experiences on the optician side as well. The younger staff super helpful. I hate to say this - the older blond woman is really off-putting, so much so I feel uncomfortable. Anyhoo... :/

My overall visit with Dr. Prasad and the young man who did my prescreening was great. My biggest issue was when I was buying contacts. Long story short the tech, Laurie, was very pushy about buying more boxes than I needed/wanted even after I repeatedly said no. Her main argument was that I wouldnt be utilizing my entire lens allowance from my insurance company, but in doing so, I would be spending an additional $60 (the remaining $15 for the third box and $45 for the fourth box) on contacts that I dont wear very often. Im pretty sure she gave the other tech a look or made a comment because the other tech said, Its like throwing money away. The whole situation has made me consider switching eye doctors.

Dr. Prasad is not friendly but is rude and cold during eye exam. I do not recommend.

Staff was generally rude most the time especially hard to get copies of prescriptions for contacts and glasses else where. they insisted I had to order them from them. Glasses were outrageously priced. We have moved out of state and I have now requested four times for them to remove my family from their automated system that texts and calls to remind me we are over due for appointments.

Very nice people and didnt push me to buy anything after my exam, which is nice for a change! Ive been to some where they barely let you out the door without ordering your fancy-schmansy contacts and glasses.

We are very happy with Sterling, they are very friendly and patient. Dr. Prasad is tops!
