Staff are always friendly and not too pressuring. Their comics are really well varied between dc, marvel, and some smaller publishers. Their cards are never overpriced, and are sold the same price as the standard online market. They have a lot of knowledgeable people here who can answer most questions.

Went here to check out the game selection. Theres not a lot of titles, but the ones they have are great games!The comics section is fantastic! Nicely organized and easily perused.The staff are super friendly. We went there with our kid (just 3 but loves books and we want to get him into comics) and one of the guys had us check out some of the previous years comic book day stock and to go ahead and take one for our kid so they can get introduced.Definitely a great place to hit up for comics and cards, and to check out the games too. Ill certainly be coming here again!

This is the place in Fargo-Moorhead to go to get graphic novels. They have a huge selection of both Marvel and DC comics. Also they have several other publishers available. Also, this is the place to trade, buy and play TCGs. Especially Magic. Friday night Magic is commonly played here as well as pre-release nights.

Prices are a bit on the steep side but other than tht its a perrty decent lil shop

Passing through Fargo, my son and I decided to check out a local Magic the Gathering store. We were not disappointed by Paradox. The card selection was amazing. We were looking for a few old cards for commander decks and they had them all.The worker, whom’s name we did not catch, meticulously reviewed the card quality of our purchases and graded and priced them respectively. I haven’t witnessed this type of attention to card grading at my local game stores.As the name would imply, the comic book section seemed to take up about 1/3 of the store and looked quite respectable. They also had a nice wide array of other games.The store was packed with players running D&D campaigns and some other random board games. Nice to see this kind of activity, I only wished we could have played on an mtg event day.We will definitely be back anytime we are in Fargo.

One of two shops in Fargo. Has been here for a long time. I have been to many shops since my husband is an avid collector. This one is one of the cleaner ones we go to. They have space for people to play magic and other games. I enjoy this area because it gives me some place to sit while I wait for my husband to get done. They have good selection of comics and figures. I would definitely recommend a stop if you are a “need”. :)

In a sea of downtown Fargo, one lone light shines out to those who game. PARADOX COMICS-N-CARDS!! I was dying, pulling my carcass across the burning sands of the FM Area. I fought hallucinations of current gen books, cards, and comics, not knowing where to go. Then I saw the light. An oasis of gaming needs. I wept as I drank in all that they could offer. It filled my soul. Im standing today because PARADOX COMICS-N-CARDS gave me life. Let it give you gaming life too.

Quite literally the best place to find games and comics in ND and dare I say MN. Good balance between comics and games. Low pressure staff that were knowledgable in all aspects of comics. If they dont have what you are looking for, they will order it for you.

I travel a lot for work and make a habit of checking out local board game stores. Paradox may serve MTG and all, but I was impressed by the range and reach of the board games: alphabetical by title (so rare, so incredibly welcome!), current with some classics in the mix and fairly priced. Friendly staff, too, without the arrogant nerd vibe.This is one of the better board game stores out there.

I think Fargo is extremely lucky to have a board gaming shop like Paradox. They truly encourage community building in everything they do. From tournaments, to matches, to leagues, Paradox really pushes their players to make friends and have fun during their events. A truly professional team that works hard to give their events a polished feel that you would normally have to travel to a bigger citys gaming store to achieve!

As the name implies, this is a comic book store and a games store. Card games like Magic, comics of all sorts. The staff was courteous and friendly. They help when a patron needs help and keep a respectful distance when its clear the patron just wants to dig through boxes of back issues..This is a modern store, very open and well-lit. Its in a very friendly part of downtown where the parking sucks. Youll likely need to park a block or two away, but the walk is never really a drag..This store is as all-ages oriented as a comic book store should be. Theyve got Golden Books as well as kid-aimed comics. And candy.

Came in on free comic book day. Staff had a table set up outside of the door who invited us in and gave a rundown of the events going on that day (there were a lot). As we entered, we were greeted by another employee. The store has an easy to navigate layout, a nice mix of natural and floor lighting, and a range of products that include the staples of a games/comics store (chessex dice, MTG; Marvel and DC comics) as well as a collection of indie graphic novels, a diverse selection of board games, and comics for all ages.Probably the best stop on my trip to Fargo ❤️

This place is a super clean, well organized, and easy to navigate store with incredibly helpful and friendly staff. They have something for every nerd, whether it be table space for board games, tabletop games, reading, or drawing, figures for collecting, comics for reading, etc.The staff were great, and treated me just the same as any guy that walked in, chatted nerdy with me all the same. We had a blast and well be back for sure!

My son really loves this place. He loves what they carry and the social gaming they provide. But the one time I went in to make a $150 purchase, I was ignored when I asked for help, brushed aside and made to wait a long time which is painful for me in order to get the item I needed as it was behind the counter.Not only that, but I asked for advice on what to purchase and it was not the right thing.I just felt like them having to help me was a waste of their time complete with sighs when I asked nicely to be checked out.So beware if you are not a regular there and perhaps the wrong age because you might not be welcome.

The staff is very nice and is always willing to order a game if its not in stock. The people that come in for their game nights are also helpful and friendly. The only negatives are the difficulty in finding parking, which they cant control, and there is a slight odor in the store. The great staff and collection make it worth the stop.

Ive been to some comic book, board game, and tabletop stores that made me feel very unwelcome because I didnt know anything about Magic the Gathering, a specific obscure comic character, and know every rule for a board game. This store couldnt be any further from that. They dont lie their way through a conversation just to get you to buy something. If they havent played it, read it, painted it, or rolled it, theyll let you know but theyll find someone who has to answer your question. Even the customers will chime in if they have some feed back and it seems appropriate.On a slow night one of the staff members had some minis that he had been painting. I asked if he had any tips as I was new to painting. He showed me some quick tips and tricks and explained see of the basics (like dont pay to close attention to detail, most of the time the minis are going to be on a table a couple feet away from your eyes. The small mistakes cant be seen at that point.). I appreciated the conversation and it finally motivated me to finish painting them. Thanks!

Great selection of board games, comic books and magic cards. A place definitely to go as they have magic card and board game events each month, check the schedule on their website. First Saturday of the month is board game night - bring your own games or join a pickup game and meet some new people. The community there is very welcoming in my experience.

I have been going to this store for over 15 years now. I remember being a kid and loading up my backpack full of cards and making a trip to the store everyday. Ive seen this place change and grow. The owner and his staff are amazing people and they have done a great job over the years promoting and growing the gaming community in Fargo. We are grateful to have such a great store such as this in our town. I highly recommend Paradox for all your needs. Keep it local and spread the love. Much respect to these guys!

Good selection of various cards and games

My favorite fargo comic stop. Theres always some good new release to find at Paradox and theyve generally got a decent amount of clearance items that arent half bad either. Very easy to get subscribed to single issues, as they dont charge for a subscription box! Also a great place for board games, tabletop games, and card games. They regularly have tournaments for different card games, so give them a call for the dates if youre interested.

As always, it was a pleasant experience going to Paradox. The new layout of the store is very nice, the games do not feel nearly as cramped as they used to. Also, having the comics in the back encourages patrons to see everything. The one down side is the loose dice is separate from the sets, which is slightly more inconvenient, but not by much.

The owner is awesome. Staff is very helpful and welcoming. Great layout, with gaming support. Only downside to this place is parking and that isnt their fault! Half of downtown is under construction.

Ive always loved this place, since I first discovered it in the late 90s! Theyve always had the best selection of the latest and coolest RPG and card games, as well as many other related collectibles and accessories.There has always been a large, active community of customers who regularly show up at Paradox for game sessions and tournaments. Also, most of the staff are good customers and committed players as well! This makes for the perfect place to go for gaming!

Variety of Comics actually snagged one.

A woman was knitting at one of the tables when we got their witch just seemed wonderful. Made it seem like it was a pillar of the local community. Im a D&Der and it have all the current books beautifully displayed. The staff seemed vary pleasant and there wasnt a cliquey feel that sometimes makes me feel anxious when im trying to enjoy such establishments.

Great gaming store!

The staff here have always been so friendly to me. They have the most variety of tabletop games of any store and they host Adventure League D&D on Wednesdays. There is always something going on here, and its very relaxed.

Great price they didnt gouge like everyone else online.Due to snow, shipment was delayed and owner PERSONALLY contacted me to let me know that shipping was delayed by a day. As soon as the shipping issues were resolved owner texted me that product had shipped.The true mark of a great store is how they handle things when there are problems. Paradox is a great asset to the board gaming community. Just wish I lived closer. I strongly recommend Paradox for all your Geekery.

Solid selection of board games, great comic selection, a wall full of trades. Ive never been to a gaming event here but I hear they are well managed. Staff is helpful but at times seems like things are a little disjointed.

If you are a comic book reader, and you buy new comics every week, this is the perfect place for you. The costumer service is laid back and friendly. I dont know where my comic book collection would be with out Paradox.

Love the store, played in the Star Wars Armada Regional and it was a well run tournament. Great selection of comics and games. The tournament area is a separate space, which is great. The people running the store are friendly and knowledgeable about their items.
