This is a very small but wonderful store with lots of great food. If you like cookies get the oatmeal raisin cookies. They are amazing!!!

Fresh produce, interesting product offerings but expensive

We were referred to Jack in the Beanstalk by the person we were renting from. Great place to go and get hot or cold food from a buffet. Everything we had was very good but we couldnt try everything. There is a good selection. They have a big bakery section plus many grocery items including fresh produce. It will probably be our go to place for the week we are here.

Freshly made sandwiches to grab on the run are a real plus for any market and they do a great job.

Nice local market, better than patronizing the supermarket chains. They have a ton of stuff for a small space, including some more gourmet options. They even have Beyond Meat, which my son was psyched about.Some items are on the pricey side, but to me its worth going to a local business.

Great fresh produce

We appreciate the convenience and fresh produce. We don’t appreciate the manager yelling at his young sweet staff in front of the customers. He raises his voice and speaks in a condescending manner. We love this store but his behavior makes us not want to return. Hope he cleans up his act.

We love this place! The staff makes us feel welcome and fun! The food is always fresh and delicious. Salad bar is our favorite!

Its a nice country style roadside farm stand. Prices are what you would expect to find at a farm stand. Flowers & plants, along with some fruits, firewood, charcoal briskets, line the outside. There is a deli inside where you can buy cold cuts or have sandwiches made fresh. I got a 12 Italian Stallion sub for $7.99, which was not much more than a small. Make your own salad which is priced by the pound. A small selection of beers but a very nice selection of wines. There is a really, really nice pastry section!! You can pick up groceries there, also, plus they have a markdown rack. The pastries alone are worth the trip.

Fresh salad bar and soups are great. Tried red potato salad and did not like taste. got chicken/Cran/walnut mix second time but found some chicken fatty and a little grisly. Still like taste tho.

We came across this grocery store after spotting a sign that said Lobster Roll. How could we resist lobster roll?They had lots of fresh veggies and fruits outside, and some snacks as well. In the inside was more groceries, things that require refrigeration, such as milk and cheese. They also had some cut flowers. They also had some dried food, like cereals. What surprised me was this huge selection of wines on the wall. This was impressive, with the size of the store, they can give away this much space just for wines. They also had all sorts of baked goods and desserts right around the register, from apple turnovers, woopie pies, apple cider donuts, etc.To the left from the entrance was the ready-to-eat section. You can pick up some cooked food there, or go to the counter at the end, and order sandwiches to be made for you. This is where the Lobster Roll was made. Since they were not so large, we ordered two for us. A young female staff took our order and made the sandwiches right there and then.We got the lobster roll and apple cider donuts, they were both tasty and a pretty good value. I used to love this store, but something really bad has happened here in the last year or so. Over the winter on several trips to the store for produce only, I found that much of it was old, wilted, and/or visibly turning and really should not have been available for purchase. Then towards the end of the summer when it is busier in town (so you might think freshness and quality would improve based on higher product turnover) I decided to give it another chance and did a small grocery shop here (which was mostly not produce). My purchases included a frozen Bolognese sauce made on premise, a package of Cabot shredded cheddar cheese, and a blueberry sour cream loaf cake (I believe also made on premise). Even though the cheese was marked as good until Dec 2014, when I opened the package the same day I returned from shopping, it was chock o block full of mold. I defrosted the Bolognese for 2 days in the fridge only to find the surface of it had a layer of mold as well. And the blueberry sour cream loaf, which I opened the same day I arrived home with the groceries, was stale. Such a disappointment! Im sure I could have returned these items, but at some point the problems become larger questions of food freshness and safety. I am not willing to continue taking the chance that the food will be fresh and my purchases will be consumable and my grocery trip will not have been wasted, so I will no longer be shopping here and absolutely cannot recommend it for anyone else.

Cannot get everything here, but what they do have is great. Best priced Lobster rolls around.

Delicious food, great prices, nice variety of fresh veggies fruits sandwiches almost anything you need fantastic pastry area.and I found they have macaroons, my favorite and they are delicious !!!!
