Extremely satisfied with this Public Storage location! When I arrived to my storage locker for the first time yesterday I realized my unit was one in which I would need to use a ladder to get to. Being a single, petite woman, I wasnt comfortable with the idea of having to carry my heavy items up the ladder. Keisha was able to switch me to a different unit in no time, it was so relieving! Not only is it on the floor requiring no ladder, but also super close to the elevator, also a plus! Great customer service, she was a total life saver and made it happen in minutes.

Got a great price online, only to find a hefty increase two months later. Not happy with customer service. Called their main office in California and got shuffled to someone back here.

I decided to rent space in this facility based upon my meeting with manager, Nate. He gave me comfort that my items would be safely stored. He also was very accommodating with my move-in date. The facility is reasonably priced, easy to access, and very clean. I think, due to Nate, that it is very well managed.

They close the elevators down well before the 9pm closing time. They don’t tell you and when you call they chuckle. Unbelievable. Don’t rent storage here. Now I have to load my car back up and come back tomorrow and do it all over again and hope they have the elevators on. I’m moving by myself and this is honestly the last thing I need. It’s storage. Why can’t they leave them on until after closing? It’s not a jewelry store.

Nate has been super helpful and accommodating. The intake process was a cinch, and the facility itself is well-kept. Great communication and Im happy I picked this place to store my belongings!

The good; the staff, they are very helpful and friendly, the hours coming and going are good, its gated.The not so good; the place is VERY dirty, 5 carts, they are old and dont move well, 5 total for the entire place, you have to bring your own or walk to your storage bin, not enough lighting, needs to e brighter. We moved out on the 6th, they do not give you your money back for the remainder of the month. The bay doors do not open all the way or stay open making loading from a car or a low van very difficult. I will never rent from here again.

The staff are friendly and professional at this location. There were some issues in my unit that caused damage to my furniture. The Area Manager contacted me. The damaged property was removed by the staff and some compensation for the damage was agreed upon. The manager was professional and accommodating.

We are renting a small unit to use while we do home renovation, and we were in and out in 10 min to get our rental and go to see it. it has easy access to the loading dock and its close to our house. This was the easiest part of moving! Rob was AMAZING! He took his time, explained the process and even gave us the tour of the facility and the unit we were going to lease before we signed anything. This storage facility use to be a warehouse and because of that there is an actual covered loading dock area. This makes moving in and out so much more easier!! If you are looking for a big, clean, spacious storage facility with great customer service, look no more! Rob and his team will make this a stress free experience.

So I was renting a 5X8 unit from May 31-July 1st. I was unable to move everything out until July 1st. On the day of the move it took almost the whole morning to move out. Another customer had blocked the only elevator going down so I had to move their things constantly out of the way so I could remove my items from the facility. When speaking with the front desk they told me they don’t prorate so for ONE HALF OF A DAY I had to pay for the WHOLE MONTH. Other storage places normally would charge you a late fee instead. They informed me I could call the customer service line and see if there was anything they could do. I called and was transferred to the Executive line for which I left my number expecting a call back. So if you pass 10 days due on your bill then it gets sent to collections. I kept waiting for a call and never received one back. I cannot believe the anti-consumer practice that they employ in their business. I am never storing anything with this company again and will make sure to tell everyone I know to store their items at other facilities.

The people working at this store are very helpful. I recently got a job out of state and was planning to move my things in a storage space for a little while. I wanted to look at units before renting. When I got to the store the man behind the counter told me all of the prices and even showed me some spaces. Very good environment would recommend

I have friends and family who have rented at this Public Storage for years and I know the property well. I have seen the help that Rob provides people and this time I was on the receiving end. He makes renting so streamlined and easy for customers and is always willing to give extra help when possible. I feel safe at the property and I know my way around well. Its not always easy to find helpful sales people in northern Virginia due to the fact that there are so many people everywhere you go, but this Public Storage facility is a reminder that individual managers can and do make a difference in a storage rental decision. Ill probably rent here for quite awhile.

I came in the other day and had the pleasure of getting help from Bob. When I arrived the line was long but he spoke to me and assured he would be with me soon. He was great at handling the customers as we came in. He never stopped smiling and treated everyone kindly. Someone should get this man an award and a few helpful other people to keep this location perfect.

I had a good experience here. Some people may be soured on a storage unit but I thought the on-site reps were great. We got in and out within the 30 days to avoid paying the regular monthly fee. I do think that forcing you to buy a lock and key is kind of weird. However, the lock is yours to keep and it’s nearly unbreakable.

Amanda helped me find a storage unit that was right for me, making sure that I had everything I needed and making great suggestions! She helped me with my paperwork quickly and professionally, and even went with me to check if my entrance code would work. I appreciated that she did a little extra to help me, and would recommend this storage facility if youre okay with non-climate-controlled space! The pricing is a bit expensive, but the staff is good and very helpful!

Ive had a very positive experience renting a storage space from this location. As far as storage facilities go, its pretty clean, and there always seems to be available dollies/carts to move your stuff around. Most importantly however, the customer service is solid. Rob is a great guy to work with. Hes friendly, helpful, and goes the extra mile to make sure you have a good experience. He even helped me move some large furniture by hand! Talk about going above and beyond! Id recommend this place to anyone.

Both Rob and Huang are great. I recently rented a larger storage unit from this location and I found it to be well maintained, very clean, and easy to get to from the highways. The management worked with me to resolve any of my concerns and they went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. Best customer service I have had at a storage company in a long time.

In my experience service at these places can go down the tubes quickly if theres a huge line. Luckily the manager Rob is a pro. He helped find the right size unit and even price-compared with local franchises to see if I was getting the best deal. It was definitely a smooth experience.

In years past Ive had 3 storage unit at 400 Roosevelt: Great experiences with each one. The Staff: wonderful-- like family!-- I miss seeing them regularly-- they were always so pleasant/helpful/smart-- seemed to really care about their facility!!!! Seemed to sincerely want us folk w/storage units to be safe and happy there as well.Cant say enough good stuff about the place. So well maintained-- Clean! -- and I always felt safe when I was there-- regardless of hours I stopped in.So totally well maintained!... Ill say again- I miss dropping in.I honestly dont think other storage facilities have folks in charge with such an obvious sense of pride in their facility, nor the where-with-all to manage, let alone interest in managing a nice facility, which I always felt when I was at 400 Roosevelt. I always looked forward to dropping by. Such a total caring approach to their jobs/maintenance of the place! I was often disappointed if I managed to slip in and out of the facility w/out running into Rob or his young co-worker. Such nice people!Id rent another unit there in a second if I could only justify the need for one.Thanks for this opportunity to praise the place!(Hope this made sense. Writings not my thing.)

My experience at public storage was great! I booked a storage five minutes before closing and Rob demonstrated fantastic service as he stayed past business hours to take time to show me different units. I highly recommend this location as they put their clients first. Rob delivered luxury first class service to me.

So far I can only speak to the check-in process that involves a tour, explanation of the rental terms, etc., but it was all excellent. Donny was very patient and helpful in going over everything with me. The facility itself is fine - no complaints so far.

This location seems very friendly and clean. I was helping a friend move and Rob saw us and came over and mentioned that there are carts that we are free to use at anytime. He seems like he really takes his job seriously and thats what makes this place great.

Bit of an odd storage place (Ive been to a few). The carts are few, small and oddly shaped. The Ramp up the loading bay is very narrow and the door even more narrow. The door does not open all the way or stay open making loading from a car or a low van very difficult. There are easy things this particular space can do to make life for their tennants easier: get rid of the door or make it swing inside instead of outside, allow the door to remain propped open; add more carts; a little more of a structural improvement would be to open that door way up, making it more of a small bay door than a swinging door, that way nothing gets in the way and you can get rid of the doorframe that makes pushing a loaded cart difficult...Interior isnt bad, just needs brighter lighting.

We needed to get packing materials for a large item on very short notice and the employees were very helpful. They helped us box the item and got us out the door in time to catch our flight. Highly recommended.

Be advised that the $1 first months rent is not good for an actual month it is only for the current calendar month. Also the cost to move in that you are quoted online is not your actual cost to move in. They charge an additional charge for keys. Their practices are extremely misleading and deceptive. I highly recommend avoiding this company and this location.

This was my first time using this storage facility and I was extremely impressed with the personal service and assistance I received from Rob, who was on duty at the time.He helped me back up my truck to the loading dock and personally took us to the storage unit. In addition, he suggested a more efficient way to move our cargo through the labyrinth of hallways with the cart. I found this facility to be extremely clean and well managed. A very pleasant first time experience.

Wow. I went in looking for dish boxes for my move and the manager, Rob, was beyond helpful and extraordinaily pleasant. He showed me different packing options. He did not try to oversell items, he just explained the available options. His customer service was very surprising to me and most welcome as moving can be so stressful. I would go back in a minute for more supplies and highly recommend.

Neat and clean with good access like the others said, but they send you the bill way in advance of when its due (as a reminder?) - you can forget if youre not careful. The thing that really irritated us was that they raised the cost of the unit after 3 months by about 30%!! We went and pulled our stuff out because of that.

I have had my stuff stored here for the past few months. I am finally moving my stuff out. I found out I was moving my stuff 2 days after the official prorate date, and the official policy was to bill me for the full month.I called Amanda, the local manager. She contacted the District Mgr and got them to prorate my account, so I can get a good portion of my monthly charge back.THANK YOU AMANDA!!! That is what I call GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. If in the future I need to store items, I will definitely consider Public Storage again...

Sometimes, terrible things happen- and its the way a company responds that really shows their worth. The extreme cold last week resulted in a sprinkler system malfunction and we had to dig out our soaked property. The staff did everything they possibly could to help with this unfortunate situation, and Amanda specifically showed patience, care, attention to detail, and genuine sympathy. Im sad it happened- we lost some cherished items (and Id like all those hours spent re-packing back) but I am impressed with the response. Great staff. Im meh on the sprinkler system!!

I frequently move as I am in the military. This particular Public Storage Franchise more than met my needs before and after a recent deployment to Afghanistan. Rob and Hung explained how I could get a better rate on a rental unit by taking advantage of a summer discount and even gave me a pro rated refund after I moved out 4 days after the start of a new billing cycle. Excellent customer service.

The two workers Mazen and Rob were so very helpful. They saw I was struggling to put something in my car so they both ran out to assist me. I also purchased 20 boxes and they helped me take them to the car as well. Would definitely recommend this store.
