My family enjoyed celebrating Mothers Day at this cozy light -filled restaurant. The live violin music was versatile and very appropriate for ambiance. The prices (total $67) and the service were excellent. We all enjoyed the refreshing berry drink called compote. Kids liked meat and cabbage pirozhki as appetizers. My entree with trout came with choices of two sides (home made potatoes are to die for) and a shredded salad, and I enjoyed the variety of food as well as the presentation. Trout was moist and did not have any bones. My son loved the signature chicken dish. My daughter ordered lamb and rice meal and the generous size portion was enough for her to take half for lunch to school. Very reasonable prices especially taking into consideration the generous portions and quality ingredients.

Decent selection of Russian foods and friendly staff.Update: Yesterday, Sunday, decided to take my brother to the restaurant for dinner. We arrived around 6:30 pm and the restaurant was closed. The website indicates that they are open until 10 pm on Sunday, Google says 9 pm. In reality--they cleaned up and closed around 6. I think this information must be made clear, as we drove for 30 minutes to get there, I didnt even think of calling ahead to ask, as the information was clear that they were open late on Sunday.

I stumbled across this next to my hotel and decided to check out. The market has loads of interesting and different foods, treats, beer and wine that I’ll be gifting to family and friends. The market offers 30% off if you eat at their restaurant so I checked it out. The food was amazing! I tried the pirozhki which was different but good. I had the stuffed pork chops for my entree and the plate was exceptional - terrific preparation, spices, and enough for a couple of meals!

This was my go to place for Russian (and other eastern European) food for the last 3+ years. The selection is fantastic, their deli section is super delicious and the prices are not marked up. A cool fact: every last weekend of each month you get 30% of your entire purchase if you pay in cash, 20% if you use your credit card. The store staff is very nice and welcoming and will give you recommendations if youre not sure what to try. I havent had the chance to try their adjacent restaurant yet but if its anything like their deli I imagine it will be great.

This is a review of the restaurant only. Our experience was quite disappointing. The intimate dining room is fresh and attractive, and the server was friendly and attentive. The borscht was good (not great). The rest of the food was very mediocre -- bland, heavy, unimaginative. Without alcohol the price came to about $25 per person. We all agreed that we wish we could like this place, but dont, and wont be going back.

I have been shopping at this store for two years weekly. Prices are rather high here, but it is the closest similar store and I just decided to shop here to support fellow immigrant small biz. Recently, the store staff has been extremely RUDE! They do not even greet customers, they reluctantly answer any questions and are SARCASTIC when you ask them about discount (that they used to offer during holidays, but apparently no longer do!!!). Wow. I had never had such a bad customer service, EVER! My child once accidentally broke a jar of jam, that was placed on the very edge of the shelf and they made us pay for it, while any other store in the US would not. Today I called them to ask about returning a merchandise that my spouse purchased at the store yesterday, we have the check and the merchandise (jar of jam) is untouched/unopened, however, the person on the phone told me that I COULD NOT RETURN the item, just exchange for something else. She literally told me that I NEED TO BUY something else, if I want to return the item I got by mistake. Moreover, when I asked to speak to the manager, she told me it was impossible and hung up the phone. Yes, she did. These guys are ridiculous. They really need to be taught what CUSTOMER SERVICE means in the USA, where they chose to do business. I will not spend another dollar at this store. Hope you wont either. There are many other stores that are professional, courteous and offer way better deals and prices. Hope you will learn from this. Be well.

This place is both a Russian grocery store and a restaurant. The store has a wide variety of Russian foods, frozen products like pelmieni (small filled dumplings) cheeses, cold cuts, endless varieties of tea, sweets, canned goods, you name it. The restaurant has a number of Russian dishes, which we only tried a few of. Soups were quite good, other appetizers not so much. Will try main courses when we come back in the evening. They have live music Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. Altogether the place looks clean and bright, and its worth a visit, even if you are reluctant to let Putin get any of your money, which he will undoubtedly use to our disadvantage!

The store manager is not standing behind his product. After I bought the bottle of vegetable oil and tried it, I realized it was rancid. Upon my return to the store, I explained to the store manager that the oil is grossly stinks. I asked the store manager to exchange this oil for another brand, the store manager refused to do that. He said that he is not responsible for the taste of the product as long as the expiration date is appropriate. I left the bottle of rancid oil to the store manager, before I left, and hope he tries it himself.I would never come back to this store and would not advise to anyone. There is a great store in Rockville, MD, where you can buy Russian food with more discounts and always with present from the store and the store personnel is pleasure to deal with.

I was in Troika Gastr. for about 15 minutes to check out different products. I shopped there several times before and always had customer service issues. In one incident, they did not allow my 3 year old child to use the bathroom, since it is not for customers. This time I was accused of being a competitor from McClean store learning their prices.I wanted to buy basturma (traditional Armenian deli), the short old lady ( I think she is the owners mother) refused selling. She said “I don’t think you need it”.It’s a shame that I’m 2019, you still can get a service like that.I will never go back there again, and will make sure to spread the word in Russian school as well, since both my daughters go there, about their “wonderful” service.I was also accused being from Baku just because of my black hair.

Very poor in-store service and rude attitude over the phone! We have been shopping at this store almost every week and yesterday March 8th was another day I came there to buy some groceries.I would never pay attention to that type of service in Russia maybe, but Troika is in US, so check this out.Every single time I have to search for the product you need with a magnifying glass, because it is just a mess on the shelves and many of the items are expired. So yesterday I came in, spent time to find the stuff I needed and then I came to the fridge with meats to buy some kolbasa and Armenian cheese. NOTE: there were 4 customers including me and 2 sales people. I waited by the fridge for 10-12 minutes trying to gain somebodies attention by looking at them, but no luck, finally I decided not to buy it as I was tired waiting for them to assist me.At the register I asked if there were 20% discount and we were told by the owner there was a discount on sat, sun and march 8, the International Womens day, but the young lady and then the other older lady cut me off saying : OF COURSE THERE IS NO DISCOUNT and I do not exaggerate.I was not going to argue and said ok and was paying for this, but their old paying system was not accepting card from the first time, but finally we did it.I came home and decided to look at the strawberry jam i got and realized that it didnt look good, rather expired and asked my wife to return it. She called and was told she COULD NOT RETURN IT??? My spouse reminded whoever was on the phone that this is America and you can return whatever and even it was opened, but the lady said she could only exchange and only with receipt and HUNG UP ON HER!!! She called back again and no one never picked up the phone again!I would never leave such a review, but it was so rude and ridiculous, I could not stand it.Advise:Check expiration on the products and also double check your receipt!!!
