This is the best grocery store in West Falls Church if you want to save money on groceries. I buy my milk, buttermilk, produce, El paso taco shells, cereal, Presidente Pilsner beer 12 packs, The Truth IPA six packs, fresh oysters, more reasonably priced Meats, eggs, Tostitos, Salsa, cherries, seedless red grapes, seedless black grapes, toilet paper, Etc. What is also handy is they have a dollar store just next door in case you want something from the dollar store. Theres also a Mexican restaurant with a bar at the end of the plaza if you want a margarita and they have a dollar pool table.Just remember it is a farmers market and most of their produce and items come from Maryland farms. So it is not a fancy Union run store like Safeway, Giant, or Harris Teeter. Its a smaller operation like H Mart and some of its items are cheaper than Aldis and better, like their avocados, their oysters, and their fresh Maryland seafood and cuts of meat. John the red-headed blue-eyed butcher and meat department manager will do all he can to help you out with cuts of any meat and package them up for you. Super A also has many hard to find items like Trader Joes. Super A has cheaper prices, nothing fancy - saving you money.In the springtime, when they put their produce out in front of their store it reminds me of Elmers Farmers Market on the way to Ocean City, Md. on Delawares route 404. They definitely save me money on my grocery list when you compare receipts. Cooking at home saves you more money. Find your grandmothers old, old cookbook and look over and try recipe after recipe until you find some you really like. Prepare them and then you will thank me. Its like treasure hunting.

Also another store that I cant walk in and get just what I went there for....we always find some great deals in there to buy for dinner

I went to there for chorizo sausage and bomba rice. They have many kinds of Asian rice, but not Spanish rice or chorizo. Not a good place for Spanish specialty items.

I enjoyed going to this market they had a lot of Spanish food there remind me of a little Touch of Home at Murphys grocery store supermarket in Clovis New Mexico thats no longer there

Good selection of value-priced foods. Service is great and it was not busy. Sent a Western Union from here and all went very smooth.

A medium sized ethnic food market with lots of selection at good prices. Has a very good meat section. The produce section is extensive, but it is kept at room temperature, so it does not last long once it is brought home.

Great place to buy hispanic products to cook delicious

They sometimes have good specials on fresh produce BUT all other items are way overpriced compared to other Hispanic Supermarkets (some frozen items that I needed to purchase cost 2x more then other markets). Customer service is also not that great.

Most of the food they sail is about to, or already spoiled. The meats are so old that they are colorless, they dont look fresh. I just grocery shop here when its an emergency, but then I fully regret it

I shopped at Farm Fresh Macgruders supermarket on Graham Road in West Falls Church for 20 years and enjoyed the smaller supermarket experience. Especially when I realized their prices were half the price of the union run Safeway up the hill in West Falls Church Shopping Center.My parents always taught me and my brothers and sisters to give ourbusiness to the smaller businesses for common sense reasons. For instance, so they wouldnt go out of business and there would not be another empty closed down building to look at.Magruders grocery union put them out of business and that is when Farm Fresh Super A supermarket replaced them.I continued to shop there, as I said before, because not only are they non-union, I realized they were half the price of the union run Safeway up the hill or any other Union operated grocery store when I compared receipts. As a result I would have more money for gasoline and my rent.I was told by an elderly shopper that their produce comes from Maryland farms and it makes Aldis and Giants produce seem unnatural. Go see for yourself.When comparing the size of avocados for instance Aldis and Giants avocados were puny and more expensive when compared to Super As.Occasionally you might find some farm soil on your romaine lettuce but that will let you know itjust came out of the farm like if you picked it out of your own garden. So, I wash mine off good and prepare myself a big salad. Beautiful Elaine from Seinfeld would love it.Its easy and delicious with Caesar dressing atop sliced cucumbers, Vine ripe tomato slices, chopt chives, fresh sliced mushrooms, and I dice up a yellow and orange bell pepper and some white onion then crown it with a diced clove of garlic. All on top of a combination of Sliced washed romaine lettuce and baged spinach. Delicious and healthy! Try it.The manager happens to be from the Dominican Republic and he is very friendly and handsome for you ladies.Beer drinkers, he sells the Dominican Republics Presidente beer, in 12 packs, for $12.99 which cant be beat because several years ago you could only buy it in Florida.Years ago, you could find Presidente beer only in Publix grocery store at the beach in Florida. It is the beach party beer.He also suggested that I try a Dominican Republic coffee called Santo Domingo which is a darker coffee and Ive bought it ever since. You can only find it at his Super A.His staff is nice too when you talk to them and they get to know you. John the blue eyed red-haired deli manager is very helpful in their meat department and will do all he can to help you.Men will enjoy shopping here because he hires very attractive young women and they are a joy to admire and become acquaintances with.Remember to always check the dates on the products you buy and make sure the ingredients dont include corn syrup.Seasoned citizens will enjoy shopping here because its easy to get around, you can save money, and you ladies should know Mays hair salon is next door and wont empty the money from your purse. It is where Lucy cuts my hair for the last 15 years. My hair cut is only $12. Plus, there is a dollar store and a pawn shop in the same Plaza.Discover a recipe you are interested in, make it and then find more recipes you like and make them, its fun and easy. Find your grandmothers old old cookbook. Look up and try the recipe ham Skillet BBQ. Its delicious.Now get out there, save some of your money and enjoy yourself.
