It’s not like any other halal grocery store with meat etc! It has a huge section of Islamic books and clothes. They have tons of prayer mats. The men clothes are not even much expensive like they usually are, i saw most of them around $30The meat section is also not expensive like other stores. Their vegetables and fruit section is also very decent and I saw everything was fresh. I like the cleanliness and the organization. If you are in the area check it out! Bonus is halal hunan village next door so you can eat after doing your groceries like I do :)

Has most Mediterranean items, but Indo-Pak variety is limited. Eggs and milk are more reasonably priced than larger stores.

The quality of the meets are great, but their butchery is seriously lacking sanitation and customer service. The raw meets, poultry and cooked meets all are handled with same gloves then gets cut on the same cutting board using the same meet cutting saw. Their butchers are in serious need of customer service and hygiene training to prevent cross contamination.The store in general is well stocked up and neat. Ive seen great improvements on their produce section which has been well maintained in the past year with good prices.

I really only came here because I learned they had camel milk and I was excited to come get it and try it out. While strolling, I did notice that the place was well stocked with the things I do love. Ill have to come back and do a more thorough walk-through another time. The photos of the place do it justice though. Theres everything from your favorite olives, cheeses, dates, to all kinds of halal meats and bastirma and sujuk. They even have all kinds of cookies and treats from the middle east and beverages as well.

HalaCo might have been a good store in the past but not now. Their staff is very rude and unprofessional. I have visited couple of times at butchery and staff there is like they are doing you a favor serving you the meat. Place is very noisy and there is no queue in place. Last time they were close at 6 pm and were washing the butchery place with pressure water and all the fumes week coming out. At least they can put plastic cover before washing the place. Their front door sensor is not working and no one bother to get it fixed. Customers are buying from them as there are not many places for halal meat.Cashier staff is also very dull and not very cooperative.I suggest they need to improve their customer service and keep store clean and customer friendly.

Nice place for halal meat and other items. Prices are reasonable and the staff is also helpful. I didn’t think it deserves five stars because the shelves weren’t properly organized.There is also ample parking in the parking lot.

As far as Halal meat goes it is the best place. Lot of options to choose from. Very clean. Butchers are professionals and cut the meat as asked.

Mismanagement is on peak. I try to find someone for help to find few things but had no luck, first of all you can’t tell who’s employee and who’s not because there is no uniform. When you ask someone, I can’t find so and so item he or she will point with finger to a direction so they can get rid of you. I left store without two items I really needed. So at that time I missed Mr. Mateen very much when they used to be on Hillwood Ave, in Falls Church, people and customer service was the priority during his time.I wish I didn’t have right this kind of review, I been their customer since 1983 but today I had very negative experience.

I loved the store, I always find everything I need to with a fair price, you just need to keep track of the price tags and the check out outcome and the expiration dates. Thats okay, whatever, exported items have these problems. My main problem is some of the employees are not wearing masks, especially in the meat section. Its a fairly small and closed space and we should be more careful than that.

Best place for halal meat and Mediterranean grocery and friendly staff

When I took shahada in 2003 in a small rural Southern town. I depended heavily on this place for online purchases for my islamic needs. Therefore it was a honor to visit this place in person today. It was very clean with a good variety of organic and halal foods. Great customer service as well. May Allah preserve them and give them much success Ameen.

Went there to buy goat meat. Been there few times. But disappointed this time. Got baby goat stew meat. Mostly it was just bones. Hardly any meat. For the price they charge, this was not expected.Would go again. If they continue to do the same then would stop going. It was not likely this before.

The first time the meat was very bad and impossible to cook, the second time I bought goat meat and it was very smelly and the color behind the white sticker was very different seems to be expired. An other thing, they do not respect their consumers and they are not friendly.I do not recommend!

The store has a very diverse set of groceries, both middle eastern and desi. I bought chicken quarters to try them and they were really odd tasting. I bought soup from there and turns out they expired 6 months before I even bought them. Also, some of the yogurt is more expensive than other local grocery stores.

Too crowded (no social diatance), high prices when Ramadan comes and most items without prices.

Always a line to check out but they are one of the best halal stores in the vicinity.

The tomatoes and the potatoes that I got are the worst I have ever seen in my entire life. The meat is in extreme bad condition. I will contact the health department to check that. It presumes that it is halal. I do not believe that. I buy my meat from Safeway.

Best Store Ever! This place is probably the best Halal Meat Store I have been. Customer Service is good and the quality of the meat is as fresh as it can get. They carry Hand-Slaughtered Only! They carry chicken thats antibiotic free, veggie fed and Naturally raised. Butchers here know different cuts and steaks, and will make it for you exactly the way you want it. They have Islamic Books and clothing that are not easy to find else where and their prices are cheaper than other places. The only reason I come here is because they are trust worthy and will give you time to answer any questions you have on Halal Meat and where they get it from. They taught me so many things about Halal Meat that I didnt know. Some places sell meat at cheaper price, but they dont tell you that its machine slaughtered, which I am against. HalalCo only carries HAND SLAUGHTERED MEAT. They have an Organic section for Desi foods, which is hard to find else where. This a business I would like to support and encourage others to do so as well!
