I haven’t written many reviews lately but this shop definitely deserves to be notice.Brian has helped me out so much in the past week I could kiss the guy if my wife wouldn’t beat me from jealousy. First he tuned parts of the bike in minutes when I suffered trying to fix it for hours, then I brought in a bike trainer and he helped me set that up. All of this without any hesitation and world class customer service.I usually just go to the big box stores like REI and Spokes but never again. This shop was amazingly fair with their pricing and exceptionally helpful with all my crazy needs. My bike works perfectly now and so does the trainer. Thank goodness I took it to them. Everyone at the shop deserves recognition for being wonderfully helpful.Thank you so much!!!

My LBS for over two years. I am competitive in adventure racing and current National Champion Masters, and need my bikes to perform under difficult conditions. Never had a race ending mechanical with Bikenetic, they can perform easier repairs on the spot, and their timelines are accurate for ordering parts and more complex repairs/time ups. Highly recommended.

This place doesn’t need another five star review, but I’ll throw one out anyway. Incredibly personal and non-intimidating service got me riding in under an hour with my perfect (albeit not super high end) bike. Treated this relative newbie as they treat bigger spenders. Doesn’t have the same sterilized feel as most shops in the area. What a shop!

I took my bike in when the derailleur bent and broke and was greeted by Helen who ensured I was set up before leaving my bike. She researched the bike, the parts needed, figured out there was one part available in the store and was able to provide an accurate estimate of time for repair which thankfully was a week.Upon returning to pick up the bike, I decided to get some shoes and I forget the guys name who helped me, but he took 10 minutes out of his day to help me find the right shoes and fit and then set my bike up and let me test it all out before leaving. This is the definition of a local bike shop, from experts who share knowledge to putting the repair section right in front when you walk in so everyone can help customers and work on bikes. I will definitely be returning here for all my bike needs.

Beware of bait and switch pricing. recently completed purchase of item online, a number of days later was informed that would need to reorder at double the advertised price. Not sure if this is an intentional scam or a mix-up, but after placing order, also noticed that my email blew up w/ spam and phishing emails. coincidental? perhaps, but just beware....

Walked in with only rudimentary knowledge of bikes--needed something small enough to fit my short, short legs. The gentleman who helped me was professional from the start, immediately offering me an option that fit my criteria for usage and size.Though I didnt purchase anything, I would feel comfortable going back to do so in the future! For the people reading this during the pandemic, the shop requires face coverings and adheres to 6 foot social distancing guidelines. Ive looked at several bikes shops in 2 states and they are the first to have exactly what I was looking for! The price beat all the other shops as well. Once he said they had free tune ups life, I was sold and bought it the same day. He was very helpful in picking out my first real bike for races. He explained things well, but didnt talk down to me (like other bike shops). Very pleased and will recommend to friends!

I bought a Kona Mountain bike here several years ago. Had to bring it in for service today. I have an issue with the back tire popping often. Had been told at the shop before that it was bad luck and they made upgrades to and fixed the tire tube each time. Today there was some of that same talk about luck but not as much. Was shown that the tire was low even though it felt ok to the touch to me. I will start a routine as a result of my visit today of checking the exact tire pressure before every ride. 45 psi. Also that the valve stem is very straight and has not slipped. Service here is good and friendly. I hope they have solved the problem i have been having with this last visit to their shop.

I havent had or been on a bike since I was a kid. This shop has been great. I obviously had no idea what to expect or really what I was looking for in a bike. Every time Ive gone in, Ive had a million questions for them that theyve answered patiently and honestly. Even after biking for a few months now, Im still a novice, but I realize how silly some of the questions I had were, but they never made me feel dumb or like it was an inconvenience. The bike I bought from them comes with free yearly maintenance as well. I wish more businesses were as helpful and nice as this shop.

He didn’t even break stride, just wanted to keep me on the trail. Gave me some good maintenance tips as well. Took it out for a ride and his work really made a difference. Awesome bike shop ! They recently removed a stuck seat post from my carbon bike frame. Ive been doing my own bicycle maintenance for 30+ years but had absolutely no success getting this seat post loose. I first took the repair job to another bike shop that wouldnt even touch it for fear of damaging the carbon bike frame. I then took the bike to Bikenetic. They very carefully cut the seat post and got it out of the frame without doing any damage. I didnt know that would be possible without costing a fortune in labor time, but the final cost was more than reasonable. Very happy customer here !

I love these guys. Im not a serious biker, more of a weekend warrior type. I dont have a 25 ounce road bike and I cant get super technical with a certified mechanic. Honestly, if I ever got a flat tire on the trail, Id call my wife to come get me.But I do love to ride for exercise and I want my bikes and those of my family to be well maintained and running well. The staff at Bikenetic are extremely knowledgeable AND very friendly and helpful. There is none of the obnoxious condescension so common at other shops (see: Fresh Bikes). Bikenetic used to be located on Broad St. in a smaller space next to an Afghan restaurant. The new space is much larger and allows them to display a healthy amount of inventory of bikes, accessories and clothing. Its always nice to find something that you need thats right there rather than having to order it. I was shopping for larger road tires for gravel riding, not that rare of an item but not exactly common either. They had several from which to choose to include the brand that my son highly recommends. Nice. The place has a bike riders vibe. The staff are all riders who care a lot about bikes and their fellow bikers, who happen to also be their customers. Theres definitely a sort of crash pad feel to the waiting area in the middle of the store, but I kind of like it. Feels authentic, which is probably as good of a single word summary as any for this shop. They have the most accomplished mechanics in the area by a long shot. Not that others Ive used are bad, but Bikenetics just seem a bit more knowledgeable and helpful. They fix a lot of bikes, so chances are whatever ones problem is, it will not be the first time theyve seen it. Also, as with a good doctor, they dont mind answering questions, and they will work with you to get it right. They know that people who spend a lot of time on bikes care about them a lot, and that small tick you barely hear in the shop will drive you nuts by the end of a 50 miler.

SUPER AWESOME!!! I went in after about 3-4 weeks of researching bikes (looking for a new one) and visiting a few stores around and a person who works there, Jacob, answered my questions for like 2 hours straight and had plenty of personal experience to help interpret my questions and help me find the answers I was looking for. He was super nice even with my dumb questions about whether aluminum or steel was better and whether disc brakes would be more susceptible to tour-ending malfunctions than traditional v/cantilever brakes. Plus, free maintenance for the life of the bike I bought and half off labor on it, too :)

Last month, I brought in a pair of 25-year-old obscure bicycles that were good in their day, but hardly best-of-breed. They hadnt been ridden in a few years. With the pending Metro closures, they needed to be rehabilitated.Pete took a look at them. Didnt bat an eye. Told me what theyd likely need and when theyd be done. The day they were to be ready, Pete called & advised that one would also need new tires (which I fully expected). When I arrived, Pete reviewed the work hed done, which was a bit more than initially anticipated. Among other things, a brake mount piece on one bike had rusted through and crumbled. No problem -- Pete just crafted a new one. (This is the point where many (most?) other shops would say We cant fix it. or You need to buy a new brake assembly (or two).)The result: two bikes that now ride almost as well as they did when they were new -- 25 years on.All for a very reasonable price (and less than what some others in the area quoted).Highly recommended. It would not be a stretch to say awesome.P.S. - Yeah, these folks absolutely walk the walk & talk the talk - theyre passionate about cycles, and it shows.
