Been going to this grocery store for about two years and I love it. They always have my favorite brown rice in stock and plenty of other fresh groceries too. I usually go Saturday morning and it’s never too crowded which makes it a nice customer experience. Quick customer service checkout lines as well. You have try them out yourself!

I have no complaint about their veggies and frozen or dry goods. They have been consistently good.I have a lot of complaints about their fresh meat and seafood, however. The prices are irrational, and the quality has been consistently bad. Their chicken breast tasted gamey like fish sauce, and their fresh fish is not fresh and has all sorts of off flavors.Come on Han-a-reum, you can do better than this with that price.

Love this store in general. An added bonus is the fresh, delicious and cheap sushi. Most importantly, you’re missing out if you like traditional Korean dishes and don’t try out the little food court. I think there are at least twelve dishes on the menu. Every dish tastes like it was made by a Korean grandmother. I always get my food to go but there are usually a couple of older Koreans eating at one of the tables so that’s always a good sign! Pick up usually only takes about 15 minutes and it’s cheap. The lady at the cash register is also super sweet.

Love shopping for authentic Korean and Asian food, particularity candy in their candy aisle. It feels like youre in a different country, and I feel like a 4 year old with all sorts of new (new to me) candy that I get to try. Staff is usually friendly there.

Like the store, however I stopped going there because of the panhandling problem. Like I want to just get my groceries and leave, not be shook down at every turn by someone with a hard luck story. I understand panhandling is not illegal, but private property owners can ask them to leave.

I come here every week because they have a ton of options and they have decent prices. For the store itself, it feels very crowded. For example the entrance feels very tight because as soon as I walk in theres usually people checking out and trying to walk out. So theres a lot of foot traffic in the front of the store. Also, the parking situation is tough here. And its gotten even worse ever since the Lidl opened up in this shopping centerBut the store itself is nice. And I know they recently opened (or opened back up) their food stand, which I would like to try eventually

It is one of my favorite places to shop Asian groceries. The vegetables, spices and fruits are fresh in wide varieties. The price is also fair for me.

Good place to shop Korean groceries. The food at the food court is really tasty and good. I always get food court food everytime I come here. It is more like I come here to eat and grocery shop on the side.

Good selection of produce, however be very careful when buying fish, this is the 2nd time I buy fish here and its almost like rotten, smells so bad, I havent realised until I came home to prepare it. I think the fish that they get is just low grade almost rotten of a quality. Try to buy fresh fish somewhere esle.

We love H Mart since we were back in Boston and moved to Virginia Beach. We went to this location today and had the worse experience. As always, their location is good. The inside is clean with variety of good meats!!! BUT they are not child friendly here! They don’t have an entrance for your stroller. They won’t allow for you to take the grocery cart to the parking lot to make your life easier! So yes, you have to go to your car with all the bags in hand as they purposely lock the tiny gate for you to take your grocery cart to your car. This would have been fine if you only have one bag but we had 11.It’s pure laziness that I don’t understand.

This place is a hidden gem. I go here for great produce and items I cant find anywhere else. Each time I find something I can only purchase here.

H- mart very busy, produce are very fresh with reasonable price and weekend they have sale on meat and Salmon muscle, fruits, vegetables.Service good but too crowded for small place.

They have reasonable prices like Shoppers Food Warehouse did. They are one of the best places to buy a very large variety of seafood. Go see for yourself you will be amazed.

The seafood section is to die for and there are a lot of harder to find specialty items. While they do have a nice selection of produce their pricing is a little higher than other stores. The prepared foods selection is amazingly diverse though, definitely recommend.

Usually have a good time at hmarts in Nova, prices are fair and food and groceries are varied and fine. However had one horrible purchase that I have to warn others about: the meatWe bought pork belly on Sunday, excited to try a new recipe the next day.Next day comes and my girlfriend opens the packet to find the bottom piece(hidden from view when purchased) turned grayish green. She brings me to smell it and its absolutely rancid! The large piece that was placed on top also had a section turned green grey and we had to be safe and throw out the whole thing.If it was 3-4 days in a fridge, I can understand. But selling meat and having it go that bad the next day is just appalling quality in my book.Again, I personally never had issue with their produce or very nice Korean flour or other goods. But please be careful with your meat purchases here!!

Ive been shopping here for years and I have to say that customer service at this store is garbage. Every time I have asked someone about a particular item their immediate response it “we don’t have it.” Then after walking around the store myself, checking every lane, I manage to find what I’m looking for. This happens EVERY TIME someone says they don’t carry an item. Other than that, a good store to find all kinds of international foods.

First, thank you to all the employees at h mart and everywhere for working through quarantine and keeping the rest of us fed. h mart is trying to do good mitigation for the virus. They have a guy in front of the store wiping down shopping carts presumably with disinfectant and handing out one-time-use plastic gloves, a very nice step that Harris Teeter isnt doing.The problem is maintaining social distancing within the store. The aisles are very narrow and close together. At 5:30 on a Friday afternoon, the place was packed. Everyone was wearing a mask, but there was absolutely no way to stay 6 feet apart while moving through the store. To the managers, please monitor the number of customers in your store and ask people to queue outside if its too crowded.

Ive been going to this H Mart ever since I was a teen. I like this specific H Mart location because they always have everything I need and they’re always fully stocked. Seems like they added more things over the years and they’ve done a nice renovation inside as well. Check out is always smooth and fast, I’ll continue coming here for as long as I’m still in the area.

Very clean. Great selection of produce, fresh seafood, and meats. If you are looking for ingredients to make an authentic Asian or middle Eastern dish, I recommend coming here. The also have a nice food stall making good Korean food. There is also a nice prepared Korean food section.

I went into this store for the first time ever, because I had heard about all of the exotic food that they carry. The first thing that stood out was the huge produce section and the really low prices. I continued to walk down to the back of the store towards the meat and seafood section. These two sections took-up the entire back wall of the store. They have such an amazing variety of seafood and meat options, so I started to write down some of the names of these things so that II could research them more when I got home. I have never cooked most of the meat or seafood options that they have available. As I was writing, I noticed an Asian employee stating at me for some unknown reason. He made me extremely nervous so I started to walk down another isle, and this guy starts, to follow behind me, which was creeping me the hell out. I finally turned around and asked him why he was following me, and he starts I interrogating me about what I was writing down. I seriously felt like he was watching me because he thought I was going to steal something. Or perhaps I was being profiled because I wasnt Asian. He made me want to leave and I did not appreciate this kind of harassment by an employee. Just a Customer!

The produce is always fresh. There is always a good selection of seafood especially fish. The guys who help clean the fish are always friendly and efficient. HMart is also clean and well organized.

Ive been to H-Marts here in the Metro DC area, as well as NJ where I previously lived. Outstanding stores! I especially like their prepared foods consisting of various Korean fritters, seafood, and the vegetables that are awesome take away containers. You have to go to understand what Im talking about. They have good meals. You dont see many obese Koreans.

I like the store. Has great variety of fresh produce and meats. My only complaint is that they make it so you can not take the cart out to your car to unload. You either need to shop light so you can carry everything to your car or you need to bring a buddy & one person can stay with the cart while the other person brings the car up to the front of the store.

The Korean prepared foods here are off the chain. Delicious food can be found at the lunch counter, and wonderful meals/snacks in the deli case. I like how this store has brought in all kinds of chocolates and snacks from Europe- an added bonus. I would like to see more variety in the produce section, for example, I havent been able to find collard greens or kale; however, I realize that the store caters to the local Asian population which may prefer other greens. The cashiers and other employees are friendly and helpful. The clientele are diverse, and its always nice to see everyone co-existing in peace.

Definitely one of the worst shopping experience recently. I was trying to buy a box of meat which a poster shows on sale. But the price didnt show in the cashier. So 2 service ladies asked me to show them where the poster is and I did. However, they pointed to a different type of meat to me. After I made clear that even the names didnt match between what they pointed and whats on the poster, one of them literally said Im just a cashier, we dont know anything about it. That was when I realize that they werent trying to help you, but only to settle you with things you dont want. Go somewhere else.

H mart used to be my favorite back in Atlanta. But this one at falls church is definitely the one that gives the worst experience. The lady at the fruit sample stand was extremely unfriendly and impatient. Wouldnt go again neither would recommend to others.

When I started adding more leafy greens to our meals, we quickly got tired of lettuce and kale. At H Mart, I can buy watercress, arugula, basil, mint, chard, mustard greens, and many varieties of cabbages. Theres all manner of fresh fruit too -- all the common types, plus dragon fruit, persimmon, tamarind, various melons. Here you can buy all sorts of kimchees and international ingredients as well as cuts of meat and seafood. Go to your ordinary store for canned and frozen goods. Come to this store for fresh food and international goods.

Like the variety of vegetables however today I bought a tea box that had the price $4.39 on the shelf but at the cash register the price turned out to be$ 9.99. I checked the name of the tea with the price and it was correct. So prices on the shelf do NOT match the price at the register.

Its slow on Monday morning. Good time to go if you dont go too early. Not everything is in stock yet. The vegetables are not as well stocked as Great Wall, but the meats are nicely packaged, and more Kobe and Wagyu beef varieties. I also like the seafood section here better. Fantastic grocery store. Great place to go Saturday mornings as there is an abundance of taste testers and ready-to-eat meals. The Chap Jae and Gimbap are delicious and cheap, usually cant leave the store without buying both. The ready-to-eat-meals usually sell out on the weekends so come here to shop before 2pm.

Usually good prices, but quality-wise, vegetables can be a hit or miss (be sure to check throughly). The seafood is of excellent quality!

They dont allow you to take your cart to your car so you have to bring your car to your cart or take everything to your car by hand which is a huge hassle

The marinated beef short ribs are really good. They cut them flanken Style, otherwise known as LA Style. They have lots of great produce here. Much of it cheaper then big supermarkets. If youre looking for Asian type vegetables and fruits you are likely to find them here.

Wow i found cheap korean restaurant inside hmart. $9 miso soup got other surprise side dishes. what’s deal?after i went home, i got severe headache that i couldn’t sleep and took 4 tylenol 650 mg twice. This restaurant loaded with MSG in mizo soup.

Needs to be cleaned but the best produce and ethnic food around! Just power wash those dirty hand held baskets. Love it! I bring my own bag.

Fantastic fresh produce selection. Solid stock of Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Viet, Malay, Indian, and some Latin American cooking supplies. Come to think of it, Im not sure what constitutes Indonesian or Phillipino cooking, so not sure if they sell those cuisine necessities too. I come here for my produce and to get some of that good Japanese soy sauce.

During recent trip here, there were no shopping carts available so I used a shopping bag to hold my items while I was in the store. An older Korean gentleman suddenly started yelling at me, accused me of shoplifting, grabbed by shopping bag, removed all the items from my bag, and threw my bag despite my protests and explanations. Attempts to complain were useless. Will not be coming back.

People who run this supermarkets are scammers. They short weight products and steal from consumers. I bought a can of caviar from their sushi section and decided to double check net weight they claim on the label. it came out 30% short - instead of 0.3lbs it had only 0.2lbs of the product in it. Will never buy anything from these dishonest people again. You should be ashamed of yourself. Never thought I would see this practice in the US.

I think Management should train better the cashiers. This girl Sangita is very unprofessional. Bad customer service! Very rude! Did not even greet us! Not a single Have a nice day nor Thanks. Produce, however, is good. Thats why they deserve at least one star. 👎👎👎

Ive been looking for a store with a wide selection of sake. They have two shelving sections full of options! Widest selection Ive been able to find in the area.

The produce here is really good. They also have some meals you can order to go, but I havent been overly impressed with the to go meals.

They recently renovated and updated their stock. I have mixed feelings about it but the selection is still good and the price is right.

DO NOT BUY MEAT from this store. My wife and I purchased $24 chunk ribs (stew) from this store 2 days ago (on Jan 19th. ) The meat has expiration date of Jan 24thToday (Jan 21th) when we open up the package, we found out the meat is already partially dark and it is extremely smelly. At least, The meat is already bad for couple days.I think Hmart did poor job managing its meat inventory. I guess the temeperature is not low enough to keep the meat fresh. This happens before when I bought some shrimp from them.I think their fruit is good. Vegetable is just OK. Meat quality is terrible.

This H-Mart is a great location for the following items. Produce, Korean side dishes, seafood, and ginger tea. I would like to provide those of you who are unfamiliar with the shopping experience at H-Mart with a few tips.There is a much different selection of produce at H-Mart than at Wegmans or Giant. Some of the items are not labeled in English and if you are concerned about allergens deciphering ingredients can be difficult. Located in the south east corner of the store is a hotbar/restaurant where one can order many Korean dishes. Saturday mornings are very busy here especially for those interested in fresh seafood.

If you spent any time in Asia or just want to escape DC for an international experience thats way cheaper than a plane ticket, venture out to H Mart. If youre a foodie, youll spend hours here admiring the many varieties of fruits and veggies (some that youve never even heard of!). Of course their noodle section is the best in DC as is the spice and sauces aisle. A few favorites- rice rolls, green tea mochi, milk coffee cans, bao, and Korean raspberry wine. This place is a foodie heaven and the prices arent that bad at all!

Much smaller than most other H-Marts but thankfully still carrying produce and some items I wanted. The lack of cart to car access is sad but still worth it if its the only game in town.

Just went there, i like here over all but one Korean cashier was very rude. I asked her to use separate bag for some oil leak food and she gave me such attitude. Its a shame cause non Korean cashier are much more friendly...and this is Korean market.

H-mart has a variety of foods to try from all over the Asian and American continents. They also have a live fish tank for a multitude of fish and crustaceans to choose from for your next meal. They also intermittently have exotic fruits like zapote, Jack fruit, and durian to name a few. But beware this is not an upscale grocery market. It smells, it gets crowded, and they offer samples on the weekends to try something new. Overall if youre looking for that rare produce or spice they will most likely have it but do not expect a warm and inviting atsmophere coming through the door.

Surprising champagne and wine inventory, especially bizarre as its hands down better than the liquor store next door. Tight aisles in here. It smells of fish - I am not sure if its code or not, but there are open flats of fish all over the place. Sneezing and coughing would land right on those fishies. Eww They had ice. They had what I needed. I wont be back.

Cant find any more bad store for fresh vegetables. They are always bad as if bought from left overs of another store.

Our party ordered the pork cutlet Donkatsu and the spicy soup with seafood Soondooboo. The Donkatsu was freshly fried with the pork inside, piping hot when it came to our table. Meat was tender and delicious with their sauce. If you have allergies like me Id definitely recommend the Soondooboo. Its a different type of hot with the chili paste. They throw in some mussels, large shrimp with pieces of tofu in the soup. By the time your done, youll probably be sweating and all your sinuses cleared. If your in the area looking for quick lunch for under $10 this H Mart is the spot. Food comes out in under 10 minutes and they give you fair portions.
