This is a clean family diner with very friendly staff. The food is wholesome and the portions are generous. So generous that I couldnt eat half of my breakfast. I sometimes wish diners like this would offer half portions for us with smaller appetites. I feel like Im waisting food. Anyway, if youre there for breakfast try the home made hash. Its delicious and enough for two people.
Came to get breakfast with my boyfriend and was told there was a 40 minute wait. Understandable because it was super busy. Ended up getting a table after 30 minutes. I ordered the French toast and he ordered a buffalo chicken wrap. Our food took 45 minutes to come out and was mediocre. No blame to the waitress, she was as frustrated as we were.
This is a wonderful family owned and operated business. The staff is knowledgeable and very welcoming. Our hotel recommended we try it. I had the the Sunrise Omelette, it was perfect. A must try!!
Best breakfast chow in the area, clean place, fast serving, big portions.The eggs are omega 3 cage free, the corned beef hash is made in house, and the pancake are freshly made, perfectly golden brown, and just perfect.The restaurant is small but you don’t feel cramped at all, it sits between a liquor store and a nail salon. This place is a diamond in the rough.I got the corned beef hash eggs Benedict over English muffins. Very tasty and again, big portion. The eggs were just a little overcooked, I like my poached eggs just a little runny. The home fries are soft on the inside with a crunch on the outside, again big portion. They could use a little spicing up or something but they are better than most. The blueberry pancake had the perfect amount of berries and tasted fresh.Our new breakfast joint for sure!!
The food is delicious/fairly priced and the diner itself is super clean. If you go on a weekend it may be busy but it is worth the wait. They use a system that will text you when your table is ready. Our estimated wait time was 25 min and it was accurate. Staff are friendly and the manager is always here running around helping staff where needed. You can tell they genuinely care about making sure everyone is taken care of.

Steak tip Caesar was very good and cook perfectly. Fries I got on the side, delicious and hot. They remembered sauces and cutlery too.
With some of the reviews I read I must have went to some other Depot Diner the service was very slow the portions below average especially for the price and I got extra in my eggs I got the shells with it.. and my friends eggs didnt even seem like they were cooked completely

First time here while visiting our aunt. Great atmosphere, clean clean clean!! Everyone was super nice and attentatvie. All waitstaff checked in with us and everyone multiple times. Food was awesome and plentiful. Will definitely be visiting again!

Excellent owners! I went in with an elderly friend who had a walker. There were only small tables available. He told us it would be a 20 minute wait. Well, he put us in a booth and we only waited maybe 10 minutes! Such a kind and thoughtful man. We both had the best liver and onions lunch! Food is fabulous, prices are fantastic, atmosphere is wonderful and the owners are the best!

Clean bright and welcoming. The food is fresh and they have a lot of healthy options. The owners are there and very involved always making sure that you are happy with your food and the experience. I have been here several times in the Las few months and really like it. Our server Kara has been fantastic every time we have her.

The service was outstanding. I ordered the Chicken Pot Pie special and it is the best pot pie I have ever had at a restaurant. I am from out of town and am in the area visiting my daughter and her family and everytime we visit, I make it a point to eat at the diner at least once during our visit.
The service was amazing and the food even more so. Thank you Kristin for the great waiting. During this visit, we ordered the Chicago omelette, the Greek omelette and waffles. As always, it was just great! The big bonus of the day: we got to dine in with Adam Sandler! This should be an indication of how good this place is.
This is one of the best breakfast & lunch joints on the North Shore. All of your standard-fare favorites plus a few touches of Greek cuisine including Greek sausages or souvlaki. Delicious. Service is friendly & attentive but never hovering. Prices are entirely reasonable.One word of warning: The Depot Diner is not a well kept secret. During prime time, the wait line is out the door. If youre lucky, one of the four bar seats are often open for singletons. Otherwise get there early or dine during off hours if you dont want to hang for a table. All that said, its worth the wait.

Great food every time visited. Extremely well selected menu features fresh foods, with great choices for everyone. Clean interior space that is both classy and contemporary, while comfortable and inviting. Staff is attentive and well educated in the menu choices. Definitely would recommend for a night out or trip with the family.

Very friendly service. Very big portions and the prices are reasonable. I love the Ruben sandwich. The breakfast is very good too. The chicken fingers for the kids are even tasty. Also if you love a nice big salad they do a very good job at that as well. Be prepared to wait on the weekends because it is that good.

The Depot Diner offers quick, efficient service in a clean if unremarkable setting. Breakfast all day headlines a wide ranging menu. The food is very well-prepared and portions are ample. One often has to wait for a seat, but seldom is the wait long. Cant miss.

Amazing breakfast. It is so rare that a diner has such an advanced restaurant managing tool. Once they take your phone number, the restaurant will send you a link to see a current waiting list and highlight your number in the queue, so you know how many people are in front of you. The system also sends you a message when your table is ready. I was really impressed. On top of that, they have a million options on the menu and the breakfast was so good.

Was told 25-30 minute wait which was fine but went to check back in at the 45 minute marker and was told another 25 minutes. If they had been honest about the time I wouldn’t have stayed had places to be and didn’t get breakfast. If you have all morning to sit around then go for it but don’t trust the time line they give you.
Depot Diner is a Beverly institution. Conservative but thoroughly enjoyable takes on a variety of classic American breakfast foods. Service is always quick, friendly, and efficient.Things can get quite busy on weekends and holidays, and the waiting area is very small. But a modern waiting list system that texts and calls when your table is ready makes a big positive difference. The staff never have any complaints if you wait at Starbucks and being your drink in.The meaty scramble and two egg combo are terrific.

My husband and I regularly have breakfast at the Depot Diner. I love that they have gluten free toast options that they will also turn into french toast for you. We also find their hash delicious. Be warned, there is almost always a wait for a table on the weekends, but you can reserve a spot in line online and they will text you when your table is ready. The only reason I knocked off a star is that their home fries are not my favorite and home fries for me are the indicator of the perfect breakfast spot.
The first lesson for a new business person in any community is to identify where they have coffee. In Beverly/Danvers this must be the place! Great coffee. Great breakfast. Great employees! I would be a regular if I lived here.
2.5 at best. I dont get why people like this place so much. The food is mediocre and boring. The ambiance is like an 80s high school cafeteria. Service is inconsistent. But, hey, the food is cheap and the portions are large.

Classic diner with friendly, hustling staff. Order off the menu or just customize your breakfast. They will take care of you as if you were a guest in their own home. Perfect comfort food for all ages and a great place to meet up one-on-one, or in larger groups. Bottomless coffee is a plus when your really need it! This is a gem.

Fast service and good food. Host is very efficient and courteous. Hash, home fries and toast selection are our favorites. Build your own omelette and consistent benedicts are high points as well. Touch pricey but totally worth it. Seating can be tight on the weekends. If hoping to eat here on a weekend, go online and reserve first as there is often a 30 min wait. They have a great online reservation/ text system. Often local crowd.

Fantastic! Best diner breakfast Ive had in years. The French toast was to die for, and the corned beef hash was heavenly. Eggs were done perfectly easy over, home fries were fantastic and my wife loved her salmon eggs Benedict. Its a long drive but well be back!
