Clean & well-organized store.  The staff was very friendly & helpful.

I came to office max on 4/28/2021. My intention was to order a canvas print. The picture was a very important photo of my husbands best friend, (he lost his battle with PTSD in 2015) and our dog who was scheduled to be euthanized on 4/30/2021 due to a terrible infection caused by skin cancer. When I ordered the print, the employee who helped me wasn’t sure about the the details of the canvas so she did what she could in getting the picture pulled up to edit it slightly. She called someone else from another part of the store and assured me he would be better at the editing aspect. He told me it would be about 20 minutes so I told him I would come back later and he told me that I could pay when I came to pick up the canvas. I ended up not being able to come back that day but I did call and speak with the man who helped me and he said it would be ready in the morning. I showed up early the next day and there was a different lady at the printing desk. She didn’t communicate with me at all. I had to ask her every single question in order to find out any information. I even asked her to speak louder because I couldn’t hear her or understand what she was saying. This was the 2nd time I had worked with her(the first time was on a different visit) and this was the 2nd time she treated me poorly. Then she acted like she had no idea where my print was. After she found it (I had to point it out to her) I saw that it was not complete and that the canvas was not wrapped. I asked her why and she said she didn’t know but that she would get to it later, as if my order didn’t matter. This was incredibly disappointing as I had it in mind that the canvas would be complete and all I would have to do is pay and then go home to spend time with my dog who was about to die. Instead I spent 30 minutes waiting and still had no canvas print. So I paid and told them that I would be back in about 20 minutes and that my canvas needed to be ready. When I got back the canvas was wrapped but the quality was terrible. The front of the picture was scratched and it was wrapped crooked. I tried to clean the scratches off but they were really bad. I asked for a manager…she tried to calm me down but at this point I was in tears. I told her how important this picture was and how this was my 3rd stop back into her store. She told me she would have the picture redone for me at no cost. The man that originally printed the photo was the one who was going to reprint and rewrap my canvas. He took his time but by the time he was done it was another 30 minutes of waiting and this time the canvas was even worse. Even more crooked and scratched. And the manager who was supposed to be de-escalating my issue didn’t help at all. She walked over when he was done and just shook her head as if she knew that this was the best it was going to get and nobody at her store could properly wrap a canvas. I was so upset. I left crying. I will never go back. I will never recommend office max to anybody, even in an emergency. I am so severely disappointed by my visit. Everybody who was working at the store at the time just took a massive disrespectful dump on my husbands best friend who died from suicide and my husbands dead service dog. Just thought this situation should be brought to light. Get some proper training and better people at this location ASAP. I can’t express how hard this was for me to write and how upset I am all over again

Store manager Bill is useless. Waited in this upwards of an hour looking for a printer and after waiting all that time was told it wasnt available and was sent to another location that he said had 4 of them just to find out that they didnt even have a display one left. Never coming to this store again.

I dont want to give a bad rating because Im not sure he drives for you. A black Male driver in staples truck pulling into mall at a very high speed. I yelled to him to slow down because he almost hit my van. His response was, I dont have a stop sign b***h!

Completely unhelpful!!! I had to talk to multiple people to even get them to look on the shelf for me to see if a product was in stock and then they still didnt want to. Go to the Glen Carbon store...so much nicer and helpful.

Edit: changed to four stars because they reached out and attempted to reconcile the error. I give great respect to those who try to improve.They didnt have the color paper we wanted, or the quantity we wanted. When asked how I was doing I winced and said all right and they smiled and said great and kept power walking past. Then the guy at the counter slipped me his business card to promote himself as a musical artist.Get it together, luv. Time and place

Ordered a desk and was told next day shipping which really meant 2-3 days to arrive at your home. Got a conformation it would be delivered 5 days later on a Wed. Between 2-5, left work early and no desk came. Called shipping company and they said Office Max likes to tell people delivery dates that are NOT even scheduled yet. So here I sit 9 days later and NO desk, shipping company is telling me it will be another week. All office max can say is its out of their hands, when they advertised next day shipping if you spend over a certain amount.

Needed to find card stock for our wedding invitations and Donna pointed us to an option that was even better than the ones we were finding by ourselves. She even price matched it to their online price and let us know that if we needed more she could help us search the other stores in the area to see if they had it instead of running around trying to find it.

The staff in the print and copy area was very helpful. They allowed me to forward an email with attachments so that I could print those attachments. I could also have faxed the documents as well. Since I dont have printing capability at home right now this was a major Time Saver. Check out staff was also helpful and courteous.

We wasted our time at this store. We were looking for a new desk; found what we wanted. Spent an hour at the store, paid for it, told us it would be delivered on Oct. 30 and that their Apollo team would be out on Nov. 1to put it together. Sat around on day on Oct. 30 - no desk. Wasted more telephone minutes and time to find out what happened. They decided they would deliver it on Saturday, Nov. 2. How can you do business with people who dont know what they are doing? How can you just decide to change the delivery date? When we called them during the day they said it was out for delivery. We cancelled the whole order. I will be in touch with an executive at the corporate headquarters. What a bunch of idiots!!

I came in the Fairview Heights IL store and waited to be helped at printing for well over an hour. I signed in and walked around the store, went next door, and came back, and still sat and waited for 45 minutes.. Not one person acknowledged we were there, apologized for the wait, or offered any sort of help... By the time I was home, I received a text that I was next in line.. Wouldve been a total of 2.5 hours wait completely, and which it wouldve been past the stores closing time..completely unacceptable..

This location use to be my favorite store because it had some of the best people working there but that doesnt seem to be the case anymore. Called to check to see if they carried an item in store and after being corrected by the employee (which was fine because I knew exactly what to ask for) as to the name of the item I was wanting, I was told they do have it there. I get there and am told they dont carry that in store-it has to be ordered on line. Upset about the wasted time and resources to get there asked to talk to the store manager and all he wanted to do was make excuses for the employees as to why it wasnt there fault that the gave me incorrect information. I am done with Office Max if this is how they choose to handle their customers.

I have came to this one many times and the employees have always been so very nice. The store itself is always clean and everything is easy to find. The print service is quick and they make sure that you get exactly what you want.

I went to get wedding invites printed and the woman I spoke to on the phone said that bringing my own paper would be fine but when I got there she refused to even try because she said the printer would eat a few. Couldnt you at least try? Never going back again.

At the copy and print center, they went above and beyond to make sure I got my wedding programs done quickly and perfectly. They were in constant communication and gave great suggestions...I couldnt ask for better service.

I went in to print a document off of my phone and laminate it. The employee was very professional and it was quick and easy. Exactly the way it should be.

Ordered business cards. Received a text AND email saying my order was ready for pickup. Get all the way to the store for my order to be found NOWHERE and the store manager was practically no help. They even had printout with all my order info but no one knew where my order was. Never using Office Max for print again.

Their support of recycling ink cartridges is a great incentive to shop with the bonus credit you earn. Im always asked if I need assistance to find what I need.

They honored the coupon for my HP printer ink even though their coupons no longer apply to HP printer ink - they used to!

Found identical item on Amazon for $5.75 and free shipping compared to Office Max price of $33.00. Love Bricks and Mortar presence for convenience but I will always check Amazon first and exercise patience.

Closed early due to bad weather with a non-obvious sign; I knocked repeatedly on locked door and window to get employees’ attention but they didn’t acknowledge despite being in obvious line of sight and hearing range. Only found small (letter-size) early-closing sign with small print after this.

I will NEVER order online from them again. I placed an order on black friday for a laptop as well as a printer totaling over $900. My account was charged. My printer was shipped before the laptop and I was charged again on top of the original charge. A few days later the laptop which was backordered was to be shipped and my account charged an additional $750!!! I called for the next 3 days and everyone told me something different. I have documentation of both charges on my account but now the original charge is gone. This is unacceptable for that amount of $$ to be take from an account twice. The customer service was terrible and no one seemed to know what had happened. I recommend watching your account if you have items that are backordered or shipping at different times.

Brought a book in to have changed into spiral rings and they said they dont cut off bindings because they have a warranty on their cutter. Thats false advertising when they say they do spiral binding. WhenI lived in Normal, Illinois that store did it three times for me without problems.Then they wouldnt scan my booklets onto a usb unless I took out all the staples and ruined my originals.They were unappolgetic and disgruntled.Will never go back!

Similar to what happened to Kirsten, I went in to get a presentation printed for review. After waiting at the counter while Calvin busied himself with multiple minor tasks, including putting paper away under a copier, he finally deemed to ask if in needed help. When I explained what I needed, he sighed and said it would take at least 5-6 hours and he was very backed up could I come back another day. I left - FedEx did the job in 10 mins.VERY VERY Disappointing

Worthless, doesnt even deserve the one star I had to choose to write this review ... went to go get cardstock cut for my wedding invitations at around 11am. Waited in line for 20 minutes til this Calvin guy finally decided to see what I needed. Told him I needed cardstock cut into 5x7s. Gave him complete instructions on how I wanted it cut so that the back sticker would be scraps. I had to come back and they would be doe by 6pm that night. Okay thats fine they busy. My mo goes to pick up and the lady behind counter hasnt even cut them yet and its 630pm. To top it off she didnt follow cutting instructions and now I wasted a stack of 150 cardstock invites because the ignorant lady cant follow directions. Thank you office max you will never get my business again and I will be telling people about this incident. 1. Customer service goes a long way. 2.hire people that can follow directions.
