On Oct. 5, I found a 2022 Tucson model that I liked in-transit to Balise Hyundai of Fairfield. Ryan, a sales rep, called me to reserve the car with a deposit and apply for financing. So, I gave him my credit card information for $1,000 deposit over the phone and applied financing. Later that day, Ryan called and said the car could not be sold to me because the car in-transit was supposed to be swapped with another Hyundai dealer. I made a complaint call to Dennis, Sales Manager, of Balise Hyundai of Fairfield for taking my deposit information and having run my wife’s and my credit report without assuring the car. Dennis apologized but said “it happened all the time.” His comment made me more upset and called Robert, General Manager, to complain. Robert got back to be on Oct. 8 to inform me that he found the exact car (VIN: 5NMJBCAE9NH043916) that I wanted and should be in the early following week. Again, I reserved the car with a copy of my driver license and $2,500 deposit. On Oct. 18, I received email from Scott, a sales rep, the car would arrive during the week. On Oct. 26, I contacted Robert and Scott since there was no follow-up since then. Scott replied that the car was sold out by another dealer that had offered to Balise of Hyundai. I couldn’t believe they repeatedly not delivering what they promised and kept saying it was out of their control.

My experience at Balise Hyundai was anything but acceptable. If I could give negative stars I would!I dropped my car off to the shop in early June with a knocking in the engine and was told it should be repaired in two weeks. The shop was horrible at speaking with my case manager from Hyundai providing them the information that they needed to cover my repair. Once the repair was finally approved, I was unable to get any information from Omar (my service advisor) regarding my car.I was lied to about my parts being ordered and in the shop and continuously was being pushed out weeks at a time.Omar was unresponsive to my calls or texts and I had to go directly to the service manager, Jose, for any information about my repair. Even then it was hard to get anyone on the phone and the only way to get information about my car was to take personal time off and go there in person.Almost four and a half months later they finally had my car up on the lift in early October to find out that all of the parts for my car were not ordered and pushed me out another two weeks…. It was nearly impossible to have a straight answer from Omar or Jose as to when I would have my car back and operable.When I did receive my car, I was told that the battery I purchased two years ago was faulty and had to be replaced. I was not given the option to exchange the battery that was still under warranty and when I requested that battery back they provide me with a battery that was not for my car! Not to mention that the “new” one was from December 2020 and already a more than a year into its warranty!Upon driving my car off of the lot in the rain, my wipers flew off of the car, my tail lights, blinkers and running lights were all blown out and my ac was not working to de-fog my windshield. This ship down right lied about doing a full inspection on a car that was claimed to be “road ready”The service and treatment of loyal customers was completely inappropriate and I would never recommend Balise Hyundai, let alone a Hyundai service team, to anyone! I do NOT recommend this shop or even purchasing a Hyundai based on the way I was treated.

It was great working with General Manager Robert Serrano and his team. Their communication was always clear, and the timing of their responses was always quick. I addressed a few items of concern with the vehicle and they were super quick to take care of the issue. Car buying can be stressful, but my experience with Balise was the opposite. Clear, honest, and stress free. They went above and beyond for me. Highly recommend.

We just purchased a G90 from Balise Hyundai and the experience was wonderful! Dante, our sales consultant, was knowledgeable and happy to help us and answered all of our questions. From start to finish, it took a couple of hours to complete the purchase and we were on our way home with a beautiful Genesis. Christopher, who helped with financing, was also very knowledgeable and did not pressure us to purchase extras. We did go with GAP insurance and a full 10 yr/120K warranty including electronics. Everyone that we dealt with was courteous, pleasant, and really made us feel comfortable...no high pressure selling. Thank you Balise Hyundai, we will share our great experience with friends and family and continue to be a Hyundai/Genesis family!

Amazing experience and service. From the minute you walk in the door, you are seen, heard and respected. Contrary to the Hyundai in Stamford, Balise Hyundai in Fairfield is clean, modern, and most importantly, the staff and sales agents are top notch professionals. I was lucky enough to work with Ryan. He is friendly, knowledgeable and caring. He was wonderful and patient with me and my daughter throughout the entire process. He heard what I wanted and he delivered. He got my deal done and closed, literally within minutes because I had a deadline to meet. I appreciate his respect of my time and I’m grateful for his kindness towards us. The entire process was hassle free and overall just a very pleasant experience. Thank you to Chris in finance who was thorough but wasted no time and had me all signed up and ready to go on time. Another big thank you to the young man (forgot his name) who gave me a complete overview of my new vehicle. He was also very thorough and quick but did not rush the process at all. They have gained a customer for life. I highly recommend this place.

Buying my car at balise hyundai of Fairfield, CT. was perhaps the easiest car buying experience Ive ever had.because of excellerated demand on the hyundai tucson limited; this dealership was able to obtain one and allow me to purchase it over the phone.when I showed up the next day to take ownership; all the paperwork was completed. the only thing for me to do was to sign the purchase agreement and liston to a quick orientation of where everything was and how to use.the staff were all knowledgeable and friendly and I personally would recommend balise as your next dealership of choice.

Well, I left a glowing review that I’ve been forced to retract, because after bringing our Kona in for routine maintenance last week, we discovered that the oil plug was loose and oil had leaked all over the underside of the car. We were lucky we discovered it somewhere it could be fixed, and not on the side of the interstate—there was hardly any oil left. Now we’re not sure what else was or wasn’t done on the car, and have been left with oil all over the bottom of our fairly new vehicle. Incredibly disappointing, as we thought we had found a reliable location for servicing, but instead ended up in what could have been a very dangerous position.

New (first time) Genesis owner. Nearest dealership was not very accommodating for service. Called Balise and they were very accommodating to service needs and my schedule. Not all “concierge” service is the same....Charles in sales, Jose and Omar in service were exceptional!

Horrible customer service from the Service Department! Service manager has no clue what was going on with my vehicle after three weeks of the vehicle in their facility. And the Service Manager was ready to charge to me $280.00 for diagnostics that was never performed! This is kind of customer service is unacceptable! I hope the service department will work on their customer service skills. And have paperwork in hands.

Big ups for Robert and Dennis!!! After the last storm claimed my car I became more aware of the current automobile shortage and was concerned. I stopped at a dealer on the way to a car wash to power wash the flood water from a motorcycle that was barley spared on higher ground. While this dealer did what they could I ended up leaving deposit on a car that was over a month away. A day or two later I reached out to the team at Balise Hyundai in Fairfield and was informed that where those other guys would not honor the incentives and discounts advertised that Balise would. These guys have been a stand up class act providing me with what no other dealer could come close to. I ended up with more vehicle then I could have hoped for at a price that would have been a steal any time never mind now when finding a car is a challenge like I have never seen. I feel fortunate and am so thankful that I was helped into my new 2022 Hyundai Tucson for Balise Hyundai of Fairfield. Thank you again Dennis and Robert!!!!!!!

My recent college graduate daughter purchased a car from Balise in Fairfield at the end of May. The experience has been absolutely horrendous. After signing all the paperwork and going to pick the car up we noticed a scratch on the fender. We were assured this would be addressed. This is still an issued that has NOT been resolved. This car dealership and sales manager does not care about their customers after the sale. I would NEVER return to purchase another car from Balise.

Last time i do change oil here it was nice because the guy clean my car and this im disappointed because they didn’t clean and vacuum my truck i use to it that they clean and vacuum i dont know who did it but when they gave me the key my truck is wet and clean inside. Went in for a service that was supposed to be and hour and 20 minutes tops. Was there for 3 hours. When it came time to pay, I was charged a completely different price than quoted. My vehicle is dealer maintained so no extra services were needed. I then had to wait another 20 minutes to have the invoice explained. The clerk stated the charge was for an inspection, I replied “You mean the free multi-point inspection?”. After spending most of my morning in the dealership I finally got my car. When I asked when I needed to return the clerk had no idea. He told me to return in 30,000 miles. Fortunately I was advised to research that to be sure it’s accurate and it definitely wasn’t. Hoping this was just one off occurrence. For the 4 years I’ve been coming to Balise, I’ve only had maybe 5 bad experiences.

I have never left a negative review before EVER. I usually keep it to myself, because I think people are often too quick to complain and are unwilling to see the bigger picture. But this situation is above and beyond that.I could go into great detail regarding the technical issues of my mothers brand new car, needing an engine after only 8k miles, being in for service for 4+ weeks, only to break down and need to be towed in 2 times in the 3 days since she picked it up, but thats not even really the point. Or the fact that she was left standing on the side of the road waiting for help 2 times in 3 days, for over an hour and a half each time. Or that she is currently without a vehicle because they had no loaners and Enterprise has none either. Or that they refused to give her the keys to her car so she could remove a personal item, claiming that because it was Saturday morning the keys were locked up and nobody could access them until Monday morning. The list goes on and on.Hyundai has some serious recalls/issues and I dont want to speculate whos issue that is, service techs inability to correctly diagnose and fix the issue or the companys poor product and inability to find a proper fix.My bigger issue is the DEPLORABLE TREATMENT of my mother. She has been ignored, she has been treated like she is stupid, they have had ZERO patience with her. They have made minimal effort to improve the situation. Offering bare minimum customer care while making her feel horrible. I spoke to the General Manager myself, he refused to get on the phone with me but insisted my mother put me on speakerphone, (perhaps for COVID reasons) and proceeded to refer to her as the lady. When I politely and calmly asked him to refer to her by her name he just walked away. My mother asked one of his associates for his name and they told her look it up on the website. This is NOT how you treat people. EVER. Especially when the product that you sold is failing and your service department is unable to fix it. A senior citizen should not be leaving in tears, walking home in the heat (they did offer her a ride, but after all that, she was so uncomfortable she couldnt go for a ride with them) and now without a car until further notice, again. And on top of it, left feeling ignored, disrespected, and insulted. Robert Serrano, and members of your service department, would you accept this treatment of someone in your own life?

I’ve been calling couple times to do my change oil that overdue but the date that i wanted is not available and i really need to be done before Friday because i need to travel out of town.. so frustrating been waiting a day and all of the sudden Omar calling me that there’s available after my work hours done which i grab it and I can’t thank enough to Omar and George who taking care of me very professional and a very good service, plus i give them a A+ just to clean my truck after my change oil. When I first went to the old Dealership everyone there was great. Now at the New Dealership everything has changed. I didn’t find anyone except the Gal greeting you. My sales guy wasn’t to friendly. We had purchased two Hyundai’s at the old dealership 2 years ago and were looking for to trade both in for new. I had and Invitation letter for $2500 off my Specific car. That’s not true. Very clean and detailed with all extras. Low mileage 12,000. So don’t believe the Mail you get it’s not True!!!!!

This review pertains directly to Mr. Robert Serrano, the wonderful General Manager of Balise Hyundai of Fairfield. Unlike many in his industry, he is a man who really cares about his customers. He is willing to go the extra mile to assist his customers even if it is at an extra expense to his dealership. I recently purchased a used 2014 BMW 328i Xdrive from Balise Hyundai of Fairfield. After 5 weeks of having the car, it completely broke down. Suffice to say I live quite a distance away from Fairfield; thus, it was impossible for me to logistically get the car to Fairfield for repairs in his service shop (which was covered under my 90-day warranty). As soon as Mr. Serrano heard about the problems I was having with my vehicle, he paid another service shop (much closer to my location) to do all the necessary repairs, even though it would have cost his dealership a considerably lesser amount of money to repair my vehicle at his service department in Fairfield. He took my situation into account and did what would make my life easier. Many general managers in this industry are unwilling to do half of what Mr. Serrano did for me. He truly made me feel like a valued customer of Balise Hyundai of Fairfield. If you ever consider purchasing a car from Balise Hyundai of Fairfield, know that you will be doing business with a considerate and caring manager in Robert Serrano.

I purchased my Elantra in 2013 at Balise and all servicing is done there as well. Ive always been treated well by the Sales and Service team members. My recent oil change and drive belt change (yesterday) was handled by Omar and I appreciated him explaing why I needed the drive belt changed. Paying online and picking up my car after hours made it very easy and convenient for me.

However, I DID NOT get any contracts or documents about the extended warranty even though we paid it. My review comes more from disappointment. Twice in 2 weeks, I had my car towed. The second time was to Balise. As I had to rent a car, and Uber a great distance due to lack of “loaners”, that was my first disappointment. The mechanic who worked on my car told me he could not replicate the problem. I asked him to drive it on the highway. As I don’t know what happens when I am not there, nor did I look at the odometer to see how many miles they drove, I had to assume minimal effort was done on their part, as when I drove it home after picking it up yesterday, it acted up again. 3 miles from home, I did not know if my car work make it. This morning, I brought it to the dealer I bought it from, and learned after their assessment, that the car is in need of a new transmission. I am glad I gave the first dealership where I bought it a second chance, and I am so grateful to them that they were able to prove my experience was justified in my request of Hyundai to have the car towed. Corporate wasn’t much help, and I am still waiting for the case manager to call me back and tell me how much of my rental they will pay. If you are looking for a Hyundai dealer, may I suggest Rockland county.

I was more than impressed with the service I got at Balise this week. Dante got me a great deal on 2021 Hyundai Tuscon. The whole process was so easy. I am very unhappy with this dealership. Everything was great until it came time to sign the paperwork and there were many line items that were never discussed with me. It was shocking and felt like a bait and switch situation. I am still trying to get all the details about the final deal. :( This got a response that I would be hearing from the owner but I never did. :((Still have not heard from the owner after a response to my posting. I recommend you go to another Hyundai dealership if you want to be treated well.

Always so nice and attentive. I appreciate the waiting area being so warm and inviting. I would suggest chairs that are a little wider for people like myself who are not average size 😁. I always come to Balise because my lease is from there and since it’s so close to my house things are so much easier. My husband and I picked up our new car today from this dealership. From beginning to end the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming and open. There were honest give and take negotiations, as pleasant as could be.. when I wanted to think certain things over after basically okaying the deal my salesman (Eli) and general manager did not pressure me or in any way make me feel uncomfortable. The finance guy (hey Chris) was lovely. the young man (Tim) that went over all the bells and whistles (now let’s hope we remember all he showed us!) was fabulous. Terrible communication. It has been a whole month and I have yet to receive a phone call even with an update. Spoke with manager 2 weeks ago who promised I would hear back, I have not heard back. If you care about your time or money, don’t have your vehicle serviced here. Seriously. I have rented twice in this month span and ended up buying a vehicle elsewhere. The overall service at Balise is very, very poor.

This my third time trying them with an oil change. First time, they left their tools inside the hood of my car on top of the engine. My husband checked the car once I got home to verify if everything was okay and the cap was not screwed in fully... causing an oil leak.Second time was at their new location and I waited 4 hours when I was told it would be an hour. They didnt go over anything and just handed my keys over...said the documents would go over it. Nothing was topped off when I checked.This time... I was handed my keys without the key fob buttons for my car and was told the received the keys that way.. When ny keys were given to them perfectly. Additionally, at dropping off I specifically requested to keep my car with conventional oil/ castrl/ high mileage. Upon pick up they had placed semi synthetic no high mileage and did not consult with me on the changes!! Worst place for servicing a car. Do not follow clear instructions. Never recommended. If they do this with servicing their customer I can only imagine the cars they sell.

Worked with Scott P. On buying a used g37x and I am extremely satisfied with my experience. He was super knowledgeable on every question I had, not pushy (we both understood why were here but he was very friendly). Ive had alot of bad experiences with dealerships but I felt like I was well informed and taken care of for the whole duration of my purchase. I came from out of state and they(he) took me very seriously and were more than happy to help my situation. The place was extremely clean and well kept. I am super satisfied with the time I spent there and Im happy with my purchase. I can more than recommend anyone to go themselves.The one complaint I have is athe 668$ convayence fee but its not like other places dont charge that either

I recently relocated and used Balise (1st time) to service my ‘19 Tucson. The staff, especially Jason, were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The waiting area and shop was clean and organized. The communication throughout the entire wait was superb and the car was fully serviced/washed in under an hour. I’d say the overall experience was top notch and will continue to bring my vehicle to Balise for future maintenance. I highly recommend!

Found the process of purchasing a palisade at Balise to generally be very good. Elie was helpful and i felt was advocating for a good experience. Found environment pretty relaxed and other team members friendly.I had to quick up car on quick turnaround and they processed very efficiently.

EDIT 3/30/21If I could give no stars, I 1000% would. Easily the worst experience as a customer I’ve ever had in my life anywhere. I’d never truly go through the effort to leave bad reviews on places no matter how bad the experience, but for Balise Hyundai, any day of the week. Steve is the most unprofessional employee I’ve had the pleasure of working with and speaks down to you like you’re just some kid they can try to gaslight. Dude had the audacity to try to bring into the conversation about how my parents raised me. We’re grown adults, not kids on a playground. Bought a used car from these guys and the car had mold growing in the cargo area and on the seat belt on the drivers side. Car wouldn’t start a mere 2 days after purchase. Passenger window wouldn’t roll up using the passenger button. A mix of mismanagement making me waste my time coming back to get these things fixed and not fact checking themselves before making a customer drive down to see if the repair shops they use are even open, as well as the employees arguing amongst each other about the other employees not taking responsibility for messing up in front of customers. This review means nothing in the grand scheme because people will shop here anyways, but I’ve learned my lesson to steer clear away from this dealership and will absolutely let anyone I know to stay away. No one should feel as though the faces of the business you’re going into should be treating you any less valuable as customers due to the amount you’re willing to spend and there. They almost wouldn’t provide me with the service papers for the issues because they’re the ones that fixed it quoting that “I’m not legally entitled to service papers”. I’ll edit this review as necessary if they have anything else to comment.Initial ReviewSuch a bad experience after the initial day of purchasing a vehicle. So many things overlooked on a used vehicle and then the car not even starting mere days later.

I bought my third new Sonata here in Nov. 2020. This was the best experience yet, but they have all been good. The car was delivered within a day from a different dealer. My sales representative was Tim Haines and he was excellent with follow up and support and getting through the process very quickly. He answered all my questions about the vehicles and help me make a good decision. Highly recommend Tim and this dealer.

I had to bring my car in for a recall. I got there early and was greeted by Roberto I believe. Thats the name on my receipt. I was impressed at the cleanliness of the place and the friendliness of the staff. They got the recall done quickly and I was out the door within an hour. If the sales staff is anything like the service staff I will come here to purchase my next Hyundai.
