My wife and I are here in Fairfield working (we’re from Missouri) and on a late night trip after work, our cards wouldn’t work when purchasing an entire cart full of groceries. The employees were so kind and helpful and helped us resolve the issue quickly so we didn’t leave empty-handed. We appreciate the amazing customer service!!

The place is fine, average quality service por the food-retail chain for a middle-size city, with some staff problems, withe-anglo majority. Something unusual was observing people in a table playing cards.

One of my favorite stores. Theyre usually more expensive than Walmart but quite a bit of their stuff is cheaper. Their cafe is a perfect place to do work out of the house. Only problem I have is they dont have unit pricing (price per pound, ounce, etc.). This really bugs me.

This store has really went downhill these last few years. Some days the customer service is really great, usually when the staff that day is mostly adults. But waiting for 10 minutes for someone to come help while at the self checkout, watching 3 employees talking and having a good time about 20 feet from me, is absolutely ridiculous!

This is one of the nicest Hy Vee stores in the area. I drive from Grinnell to the Newton store because they carry sushi but Grinnell doesnt.

There was a helpful smile in every single isle.. it was nice.. at first.. the it got a lil creepy...

You dont get very many groceries for as much money as you have to spend. Produce spoils within 3 days tops. Meat, and Chinese departments close very early even though it says online that they close at 9 p.m. *at least the meat dept. if you go in 15 minutes before they close some act like its a hassle to serve you. What happened to good customer service, especially at those prices. Also, it is summer time..people work later, and go in later to get meat to grill..hard to do before 7 p.m.

This is a very clean and organized place

I love this Hyvee inparticular because of all the specialty items it carries in support of Maharishi University. They have a large selection of take and bake items from their cafeteria and the bakery and meats departments are always fresh. Customer service is excellent as well. Top notch grocery for sure!!

A standard good, middle -class grocery with plenty of extra items. Selection on extras is somewhat limited, but great selection on groceries.

If you stock individual beers, please put them into the register! This made my shopping experience uncomfortable.

Chinese food is very lacking in flavor & variety. I asked if they had brown rice. Yes, he said. But gave me white rice that was a little fried.

Fairfield is the only one i have been too that doesnt have much variety, and any sell or deals is separate from the station

They have friendly people. They also have the gluten-free food that I need in the health Mart. They always have good sales where I can stock up on Pop, chips etc. They have high quality meat and a meat counter where you can get exactly what youre wanting in the weight that you want. They have a cheese island, Starbucks, and a restaurant.

Nice store they have remodeled it and i like some of it but I liked the old way better.

I stayed the night at my sisters and stopped at hyvee for alcohol and let me tell you they had the best wine and spirits Ive ever seen.

This trip went good. We found and got what we needed. The store was clean and the employees were nice. The only draw back is the baggers want to put everything in one bag. Enjoy your shopping trip.

My favorite benefit of Hy-Vee by far is the sitting cafe area where I can eat and be on their free internet doing my work and internet based research.

One thing I appreciate about Hy-Vee is that they are always quick to open more registers when a long line forms. They are also some of the friendliest employees youll encounter in a grocery store.

We are plus members so we are using delivery and pickup services a lot.

Hyvee is my go to Grocery store when I want to buy few items and get in and out quickly. Its not as cheap at Walmart though, so you gotta expect to pay more. If you want fresh fish or meat, this is the place to go in Fairfield.

Best place to go for groceries and such, my favorite worker is Aaron, he has been a big help on multiple occasions where I couldnt find the occasional item or two and hes very knowledgeable of where to look for what was needed! Id give ten stars if I could.

Big store with lots of staff to help you find what you need. They even have a Starbucks and a diner.

Found some great deals and got to see my first Service Cat! I guess! But the cat looked terrified!

Got some roses at the floral department They had them on sale for $10 a dozen. Their pharmacy personnel cant be beat had to go there today also. Theyre having a better assortment of items and their bakery is very very good.

Rooms are smelly and in need of paint. The lobby is conjested with junk.

Hy-Vee has much better produce and meat selection than Walmart, sometimes they have ridiculously close out meat prices, stock up.

Slightly higher quality products and slightly higher prices. They have nearly anything you can imagine which is great for such a small town. The staff is really very helpful and friendly.

I rather shop at north side hyvee. Its cleaner and way nicer..

This being Christmas Eve, despite the crowd, everyone was genuinely happy and helpful.

6 out of the 10 products I purchased weren’t marked correctly on the shelf.I couldn’t locate an employee to help when the self check out wasn’t working and gave me an error message.I knew I would be wasting my time bringing up the discrepancies in prices since employees were MIA around that area of the store.I just moved to another self checkout station and re-scanned everything.Employees seemed helpful when I was looking for what I needed.The amount of discrepancies in prices seems like some type of scam. Maybe that’s a “Hyvee” pandemic scam? I’m not sure.I won’t shop there again.

Having a rough time from a store employee complaining about taking my cans back. Said I should wash them because of the covid. Just do your job and take your hyvee cans back. Thinking about doing my shopping else where.

If you havent memorized where every item is it can be extremely frustrating to shop here. Items are all divided into two sub-stores due to the Health Market system, but you never know which side the item you want is in. It results in a lot of going back and forth across the entire store. Im from out of state and have very rarely seen a grocery store do this.

Our one and only grocery store besides Walmart. Love having a Starbucks inside as a reward for doing the grueling weekly grocery shopping. Also has a Chinese restaurant and American dining restaurant with salad bar and indoor seating if youre looking for a quick bite to eat. Deli area that has fresh meats and cheeses cut to your liking. Bakery has always been a favorite place and where we have ordered a few cakes and cookie orders. Brand new liquor area that is another favorite of mine. Several self checkout lanes that make it a breeze if youre in a hurry.

Its easy to spot and Ive never had trouble with parking. They have added a Starbucks which Im pretty excited about. Workers are pretty nice but sometimes dont know where things are but that happens to all of us ya know.

Grocery store has more options than Wal-Mart or else I wouldnt shop there. Prices are very high and baggers arent trained.The *BIG* issue, though, that prompted me to write this review is that they have begun using msg in their Chinese food in the Market Grille. I thought almost all Chinese restaurants did away with that about 20 years ago, and it seems as if Hy-vee did, too, at some point. However, this Saturday, I ate the Teriyaki Chicken and Mongolian Beef, and one or both contained msg. I started to get an msg headache almost as soon as I finished eating that lasted over an hour. Wont be eating there, again, which is a pity.

I only had to pick up a couple of things. I even knew exactly where they were located at.
