Doesnt seem like they know much about boots. Been there a couple times and ask them if they have any wide square boots and they say yes and show me regular square toe boots every time . Plus they dont have many skins other than regular leather and they dont have many different skins for any belts to match your boots. Another thing is that they dont have a great selection of jeans, just the simplest pairs. Plus its odd that every time Ive been there they have 20 percent on boots all the time, pretty sure they just raise the price and then just lower it back down to the market price. Ill give them an extra star just because they seem like a nice couple and they are not bugging you around the store.

Great customer service. Not a huge selection but it they have a good quality selection. Boot where very nice and the price was about average we even got 20% off which was totally awesome. Left with a pair of Ariats.

First off the staff is one of the most helpful staffs I have ever experienced. I went there a couple weeks ago looking for my first pair of boots. The owner and his wife helped me for about half an hour decide my style of boot based on size, fit, and style. This all while there was about 15 other customers. They were helping everyone. Logn story short my particular boot was not available in my size so I said I would come back. Went back today and he ordered the boot just for me to try on. Well, perfect fit. The 20% and Military discount brought the boots down to a manageable price for my budget. Will only shop here in the future for my boots and leather needs.

Fairly small store but filled with a great selection of boots from a bunch of different manufacturers. Staff was very courteous and did not hesitate to keep assisting me even after hours.

Decided to go check out this shop today, it looked like a nice shop wasn’t disappointed at first then I started to actually look around and it’d seem like they didn’t really know much about the products they are selling, they were following me and my husband around the entire store and it kind of bugged me Because I couldn’t look at boots or any of their products without them staring at me . And most of the boots looked very used, the women’s boots atleast, and we’re selling them at high ranges prices. It just seemed a little off to me ...

The staff was extremely helpful and the store has a huge selection of work and western boots available. I purchased a pair of Double H work boots and part of the stitching started to come apart after a day of wearing them around the house. This was obviously a defect from the factory and in no way the owners fault. I brought them back to the store and the owner graciously apologized and helped me look for another boot (Ariats) that fit me even better than the first pair. He also repaired my Justin boots which had one of the tacks on the bottom sticking up into the insole for free because of the inconvenience with the other boots. This is the best Western/Work boot store in the area and i recommend it to anyone looking for new boots, belts, and other western items. I will be back for my next pair of boots.

I tell you, the selection was so large of styles and colors. The customer service was outstanding!!Friendly, courteous and very much helpful, even the other customers. If you’re looking for a variety of cowboy/cowgirl boots, please go check this store. I left with a sharp pair knee boots, a jacket and the jeans, if you’re tall.. they have them from big to small, little to larger. OH yeah.. I even put a pair of boots in layaway. Check them, you will not be disappointed.

What a hidden gem. My husband and I decided to wear cowboy boots for our wedding. I went to google and found this place. It’s a small store but it’s packed w boots and some other western wears. The two people working (I assume they were the owners) were extremely helpful in picking out exactly what we wanted. What an amazing find!

I havent had a pair of cowboy boots since I was young and went in to just look around and see what size I needed. The staff was very knowledgable, polite, and not pushing me for a sale. I thought they were a very genuine family business and I ended up walking out with a new pair of boots that day. The boots I selected were marked down already, but on top of it he asked if I was a veteran (which I am) and gave me another discount I didnt ask for! They are the place to go if you need a nice pair of boots and good customer service. Ill be going back.

Far superior in Customer Service than Dan Post. One thing is for sure about WJ Colt. If they send you DEFECTIVE BOOTS, they will not charge you 10.00 for their mistake. Such was not my experience with Dan Post. 10D on my Right Foot and 9.5 on my Left Foot. Hands Down...WJ Colts is fair & reasonable

The guys at WJ Colt are very friendly and their customer service is excellent. They have a great selection of very nice mens and womens boots. I bought a pair of mens Ariat boots, they had a small squeak so they guys here worked with me to get a new pair from the company and have them shipped to me at no extra cost, and in a timely manner. Great store, and great service. I will definitely be back when I need a new pair of boots, and I would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone.

This shop compares so very favorably to any other boot store in Northern Virginia that I have visited.Great selection of known name brands, and all logically organized by size so you can quickly assess what is available for you. Every shoe is marked for price, so you can easily see the range of cost. Prices are competative to online vendors, especially with periodic sales and markdowns. I dont mind paying a local small shop a fair wage to stay in business ahead of Amazon.Patient and knowledgeable staff helped a lot but were not pushy or overly assertive. I recently bought a nice pair of Nocomas and will go back for sure...

Be advised, if you order cowboy boots, always hard to get a good fit from online. If you have to send them back, they do not provide a return label like Cavenders. Poor Customer Service!

I like this place, a hidden Gem for sure, and the western wear. You can find some good deals here especially on a pair of name brand boots like Luchese or Ariat. Sometimes they have a 20% discount sign on boots. You won’t feel pressured or intimidated either, and it’s a relaxed environment.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. The issue is that I ordered a pair of boots online with a prepaid credit card. Although they did not have the boots I wanted in my size in stock (which come to find out theyre discontinued at that)their site showed that they had them in stock and available to purchase. I was able to click on the size and style I wanted. They immediately charge my card and it was posted as an order. I did this all on Friday, and I just now got an email on Monday stating that they didnt have the boots etc. Moreover since I used a non reloadable gift card I would have to wait 3-5 business days to see if it could repost on the card, or wait 3-5 business days to receive a check in the mail. My complaint is simple why are you able to purchase an item that isnt in stock in the first place? Furthermore get charged and funds posted if the product isnt even available and have to wait days for a refund. Completely ridiculous and the emails they send are unprofessional, and the staff is incompetent.

I received the worst customer service from this place and I ADVISED ANYONE TO NOT SHOP FROM HERE. I put a tejana on layaway and left a deposit because they did not have the Estilo Sinaloa. The day that I put the tejana on layaway NEVER DID THEY EVER explained or talked about canceling layaway orders. They only talked about how much time I had to pay it off. I then decided to cancel the layaway and I already knew that I would not be able to get my money back. So they gave me a hard time stating that I couldn’t cancel the layaway also that I could only get store credit. I didn’t mind if I got store credit but they also left me a voicemail stating that I WILL NEVER EVER BE ABLE TO PUT ANYTHING ON LAYAWAY FROM THEM. I have never been disrespect that bad from any business. Felt that they were technically trying to BAN me from their store. I work in customer service as well and I have never treated any customer like this or ever talked to them in a way where the customer will feel like they’re not welcome back ever again.CTM

So, there was a time where I was all dude, cowboy boots would be awesome to wear. So I googled it up and found all kinds of places. I also looked up reviews of boots. Ariats seem to be the hot thing out in the cowboy boot market. Who knew Nike hadnt won that area yet? Hmph. Im sure Adidas will make a comeback by going that route. Anyways, back on topic. So I found these awesome boots but then read all kind of stories about how cowboy boots fit so different from various manufacturers etc. You mean to tell me I have to leave home to purchase something? Ugh, #Firstworldproblems. So I went to Uncle Goog and found this place. They seemed to have a HUGE selection online so I figured Id give them a call and sure enough, they had the boot I was looking for in stock and for not much more than the interwebs had it. I mosey on down there and was greeted by the friendly staff. Let me back track. I walked in and was overwhelmed by the massive amounts of dead cow skin. Holy crap, it was like the vikings opened a store and that store closed and then the Native Americans re-opened it in Fairfax. So much leather! I like leather though, so its cool. Ok, blabbering again... Ariat Pheonix in size 9.5 please kind sir! The gentleman helps me find it and in a timely manner. I plop that sucker on and woah, huge! I get everything in a 9.5 just about. Even when people rate my attractiveness, but C-Boots are insanely different. So I size down to a 9 which felt right and I get them. I go home and put them on and walk around the house a little bit and figure meh, they could be a little snugger probably. If youve ever had leather boots you know that they break in and grow a little bit. These would be huge after that. I brought them back and tried on the 8.5 and the guy joked about me being a rookie. I agreed. After all, I usually order 20$ shoes from WhiskeyMilitia and dont care if they dont fit just right. So I get the 8.5 and Ive been very happy with them. They still arent completely broken in but my god theyre some beautiful cow-skinned feet-holders. Back on track with the review. Friendly, organized, huge selection, moderate prices and a ton of leather. The guy will also rub some oil on your boots, for free, so that they keep their color and help them break in. Highly recommend this place if you ever want any cowboy gear or just to look at leather.
