Super helpful staff, I’ve never had a bad experience here. I used to do business with the fun center but that ship has sailed mainly because their rude staff..which sucks cause I was going to buy another new bike from them. The sales staff at northern power are friendly and knowledgeable. Same with their parts and service staff.
Fantastic staff. Ive been there multiple times and these guys just make it work. Bought my ATV there, added a plow, which they discounted after the fact. Then took it in for services, they found a lose bolt on my ball joint, and replaced the entire ball joint. I was just out of warranty with only 160 miles on the ATV. Understanding the situation of just coming out of winter and just being outside of warranty they went ahead and covered it for me. Outstanding guys/gals there.
I was not surprised to find that there may be up to a two week wait for my motorcycle to get a spring service (also 600 mile service) as I was told when I dropped the bike off on Wednesday May 13th. What I was surprised to find out is the incompetence shown to me by the service department at Northern over these next two weeks. After waiting a week I called again on Friday May 22nd expecting to hear that my bike would be ready for pickup the next week. I was then made aware of the damage that was done to my bike by the shop because the bike fell over off the kickstand. I should have been made known the damage to the bike and its frustrating they didnt call me first. If I hadnt called Im not sure they would have told me about it. They had already ordered the parts and were hoping that they would arrive the following week. I tried to get ahold of them the following week on Tuesday the 26th even leaving a voicemail asking for an update on my bike. Figuring they were busy I gave them some time. Nobody called me so I called back on Thursday to see where my bike was at with repairs, they said it should be done that day and it was. Upon arriving to pickup the bike I paid full price for the service, Im fine with this not expecting a discount for trouble but it would have been nice. The cherry on the top was how dirty my bike was when I got it back. I felt like the service center definitely missed the mark taking care of me and my bike.TL:DR Bike was dropped during service, was not contacted, bike was dirtier than I gave it to them when I got it back.
Highly recommend! Service center had all the answers i was looking for! And very willing to help! 5 stars!
Great selection of toys and accessories to choose from. Great specials if you happen upon one. Awesome customer service.
Consistent, honest, and best of all knowledgable. Granted everywhere in fairbanks is struggling to have stock and inventory. If they dont have somthing they make an effort to get ut for you. I have had bad experiences in all shops in fairbanks with the exception of Northern powersports. I look forward to continueing to buy motorcycle parts and accessories there.
Ordered a part from them, paid when ordered, waited a week for delivery, and deciced to check if my part came in. They said they refunded me, because part was no longer available. Zero effort was made to notify me that part wasnt coming in, and after checking account, refund wasnt issued. Hope not to deal with them again....:(
Service speed is fairly slow. Terrible communication with customers and with each other. After doing the seals and bleeding the brakes they just let the fluid leak onto the caliper and down onto the rim. And if you know anything about brake fluid is that if it sits on paint long enough it WILL eat it away. I had high hopes when coming to this dealer but yet again was let down be terrible service and lazy mechanics . Will be doing my own maintenance from now on. Highly advise away from this dealer for the shop side. The showroom however is decent and u cant really go wrong buying new .
They answered my questions quickly and professionally. I was able to purchase a part, and have it sent to Rural Alaska
On a cross counties trip, my tires were wearing faster than anticipated. Calling Northern Power Sports, they advised me to come in early the following morning. They had just the tires I needed. They were also able to work in an oil change and safety inspection at the last minute. Great guys there - I also appreciated the fishing tips, shopping for additional bike gear, and window shopping at the bikes and other toys on the floor. It made my first trip to Alaska one of many future trips.
Best place to go for your motorsport needs! Very knowledgeable staff and treat you like family. Prices are great and their stock of parts is second to none.
I was just in yesterday looking for a helmet with a heated visor. I found some 509 R3 Helmets that caught my attention, but was confused that the R3 was modular in design. I left and did some web research to confirm and found that (I believe) they are putting 509 R4 Helmets in R3 boxes and keeping the pricing at the R3 price ($150 more vs. the R4 price).According to the 509 Website, the Delta R3 Carbon Fiber Ignite helmet is NOT a modular helmet, the Delta R4 Ignite is a modular helmet (and $150 less).Purchased my 509 R4 on-line from a reputable source. In part due to size selection, but I wouldnt have gone back after seeing their (assumed intentional) methods of mis-marking items.
Best Snowmachine Dealer in Fairbanks!
Northern power sports has been my go to place for every thing I need for my side bys and 4 wheelers for about 30 years.craig and koby Hill will treat you like family.
Good knowledgeable people, turnaround for shop time is very fast. Solid business
Great company, great service and great products. Jody and Taylor helped us a good deal on a new machine, was ready the same day even with having to install a few accessories. Highly recommend
Been doing business with them for awhile. Parts prices and apparel prices are pretty good. Parts people are friendly and normal very knowledgeable. They even went out of there way to help me figure something out on my quad. Sales people are also friendly and helpful. My only problem iv had is the service dept. The older guy that works the front caused me some big headaches. But, the owner made it right with me. I was happy in the end. All in all, I think there pretty good. I still will get parts and riding gear there. I think next time I need something worked on, Ill go elsewhere.
Craig as always gave me a great deal and super service. Northern Power Sports has been my go to stop for ATVs and Snow Machines. Thanks for making me feel like a friend - you dont see that often this day and time from a business.
A good place to shop for the things you need. Good service and good people.
These guys are amazing! As always excellent service, they have what you need and if they dont they will do everything they can to find it for you!!
Worst customer service in Fairbanks. Have been their looking for motorcycle gear, atv parts and snow machine to buy always no one helps and they ignore you. Will order all parts now online and drive to anchorage to buy new toys
Both fork seals on my motorcycle went out in the middle of my month long trip. Came in around noon without giving them a heads up and they had the parts in stock. The replaced the fork seals, installed two tires, oil and filter change, and installed new brake pads on both ends ends in 4 hours. While I was waiting I was continually impressed with their high level of customer service to the numerous customers they served. If I lived closer than 4400 miles away this would be my go to dealership. If my home dealership was this good I wouldnt order my parts online.
Great selection of machines. Fabulous service and knowledge. I’ve bought 3 machines from them and they’ve always gone above and beyond to help me. So thankful to have this well run family business in Fairbanks.
Good customer service and they had a belt for our old 96 Arctic Cat...
Showed up to get a part that was in-stock only to find out it wasnt. I guess inventory is normally wrong. The guys were helpful at the counter, but there wasnt anything they could do. Wasted a trip to town. Ensure you have them pull the part before you show up or save time and energy and buy online. This is why online purchases book over in town retail.
Called on Thursday morning with somewhat urgent need for tires while passing through Fairbanks on roundtrip from New Orleans. They found some tires for my Africa Twin (not a Honda dealer) and 15 minutes later i was able to ride up for the change. Decent pricing, great customer service in my book. Lifesaver.
Google Maps told me that the address was 2081 Van Horn.....it was actually acoss the street....the really address is 1080 Van horn
I was a little intimidated to go to a power sports store because lets face it I dont know what Im doing lol. I went in looking for an ATV because and I was thinking about buying one myself. I walked in. I was greeted right away. The guy who greeted me (Jody) was very nice, I explained me being an amateur, but I was looking for a specific model and not knowing anything he walked me around the premises and explained to me where exactly I could find the model that I was looking. I am very happy with the service and it was nice that I didnt feel pressured to buy.
They are a business and theyre goal is to make money, that being said I felt they worked very hard to work with my budget when I needed repairs, repairs were well done and have had no issues since. I felt like I was given a fair deal.
They were helpful, had the parts I wanted, called me back when they said they would. Nice staff.
Couldnt have gone better! I went there just to check some things out, fell in love with an ATV, and was able to test drive it right away. No one was pushy in my decision making. I left and came back later that to seal the deal on a new 4-wheeler- no hassle and great service!! I will definitely be back!
Service guy was amazing and very helpful
Treated me fair deal was fast and friendly thanks
Excellent service, and excellent mechanics!
Their service department is worth taking our machines 370 miles, knowing they are the best in the State of AK. Each individual member of the crew has gone out of their way, even after hours to the “above and beyond”. I’m proud to say they are genuine fellow Alaskans
The place have an amazing customer service. Plus Douglas is one of the best motorcycle mechanics in Fairbanks
This local business works hard to earn my patronage.
My buddy had sprocket and chain problems and they were able to overnight the parts he needed and get him fixed up the next day. Great for travelers.
Great shop with a solid stock of parts and gear as well as bikes. Been shopping there over 16 years and still happy to keep going back.
Very helpful and knowledgeable. Theyre the reason I have 5 Arctic cats and 1 Yamaha. Great place to do business.
Absolutely the most pro shop in town. They back what they sell, are willing to go the extra mile. Just bought ATV. Final decision on which ATV I wanted to purchase was based on my experience with this dealership.
Collin helped me out, great customer service. I was free to browse and sat on a few bikes.
Awesome customer service and great prices- got a tire changed here and bought some parts. Very happy w experience
Craig and Jodie kick tail every time weve been in! What an awesome and professional company and staff!
Nice store, good inventory, walked around store and looked at everything I was interested in. No one offered to help me so I left.
Great staff that are knowledgable and courteous, I felt welcomed and at ease while here. Bought a four wheeler I couldnt be happier with!!
Nice helpful people. I went here while shopping for my first snowmachine. They were so helpful that I still stop by to get small parts from time to time. I like to support small businesses that support people too
Very good place really good customer service ordering parts is pretty smooth mechanics in the back of a really special love this place
I can only speak about the parts and sevice department for this place. They lack professionalism causing the customer service to suffer. I paid for a service that wasnt completed or even done properly. When asked to refund the service the service writers were less than friendly
These guys ride the bikes they sell, and help the community by promoting and hosting events, while maintaining a local motocross track.
Always find a good deal here. Staff is very helpful.
Dan at the service desk was a huge help. I was riding in from out of town and needed a new rear tire. Even though they didnt have my tire size, he called two other powersports dealers in fairbanks (aka the competition) and found me a tire. I felt bad that I couldnt buy something from them. It takes a store with real character to go out of their way to help a customer like that, even when they dont get the sale. Dan was more concerned about me being able to ride safely back home than making a sale. Thats hard to find at a dealership these days.
Good customer service
Cool shop lots of nice people, fun store:)
I was in Fairbanks Aug of 2014 and I was treated extremely well. Called back in April 8, 2015 to make arrangements to have a rear tire changed and the guy was a total jerk. Maybe they are still thawing out but in a nut shell they did not want my biz because they dont work on my make of bike. Although in Aug they were fighting to get tires on my bike. Dont know the 50 something yr old guy who took my call but if your reading this you can kiss my grits! Taking my $$$ else where and not to you rude dude!
Jodi was our sales rep when we bought of four wheeler. We will be using him again when we buy our snowmobile. Very nice.
Dan Saenz at Northern Power Sports provided the worst service I have ever been given, he was a D#@K, rude and unprofessional. I went into the store in my uniform to pick up my dirt bike and his attitude was disrespectful. Dan Saenz ruined my experience with Northern Power Sports and I will not be returning due to his lack of self discipline and common curtesy. I feel like the service that I received from Dan Saenz was inadequate and lacking respect.
Poor Customer Service. Never seen salespeople less interested in helping out.
Excellent service and knowledge, have known Colby and Craig for 30 years this is what they do!
It was most disappointing service experience ever. My new ktm 1290 super adventure was need fix some simple issue on my way to dead horse. Guy from service department desk one of the biggest ignorant I ever meet. Zero knowledge and treat me like pain on ass. Other gut, Kris was try to be helpfull, but for five hours I spent there he was try to call ktm tech line with no answer. Really big disappointing.
Great place to buy a snowmachine, four wheeler, motorcycle, jet ski or even a boat
A leader in the area of powersports. You feel like the staff cares about what they do and that your not their meal ticket
Best place in Fairbanks, friendly staff and lots of parts in stock with great prices.
Work done without reservation. Expensive though
Been doing business with NPS since 1994, always happy
Horrible service in their parts department. Extremely overpriced. Tried charging twice the amount for a part that another shop had in stock.
Lots of inventory on hand. Good people and good prices!
Very helpful and knowledgeable.
Helpful people with a great selection and good customer service
Ive enjoyed excellent service at Northern Power Sports for years! Just good people.
Great people very helpful always make it right for the customer
Service was great and priced right
Always the worst place in town. Only stoped in because a frind was driving and needed something. Spent over an hour checking out bikes, never once even asked if I needed help or had questions.
Bought a Wildcat x 1000 from here that was on consignment and had a issue they made it right by fixing the issue absolutely a life long customer, now they didnt have to fix it but they did thats great customer service
Great place and good people!
Best Motorsport shop in town.
Has awesome toys for great prices
Very friendly
They didn’t call to get authorization for more work than I asked them to do and didn’t install all the parts back on my bike.
Only want to sell you new machines. Will not service older equipment. Dont bother
Big boy toy heaven
Theyre not opened on Mondays. ☹
I always feel like I am bothering the parts sales people never acknowledge that Im there I could stand there and wait 10 minutes before they even look at me seems like youre too busy socializing.
Great service!
Very friendly and helpful business
Very satisfactory advice & service
Staff rude, and unhelpful.
Good people
Service hours ? At what time open on Wednesday ?
Looking at a Bike
