9-3-2020: Hurry in to get great deals!! They have hundreds of fabrics left and plenty on the bolts for your projects. Im so sorry to see this lovely quilt store go. Its always been a pleasure to shop here.

I guess locals are treated like family and infrequent visitors like me are totally ignored... twice Ive left empty handed, after taking lots of time to select several bolts, I cant get them cut because all staff are continuously preoccupied with something mysterious like insiders promo happenings - like a drawing or something, to which a visitor has no way of participating in. I wont go out of my way again to go there at all. For locals I guess, go for the huge selection of yardage. For outsiders, theres at least two or three other really friendly and very nice fabric stores in Sacramento.

Lovely shop. And I have been to quite a few shops. I went in for s specific purpose but of course, ended up, with more. Never have to much fabric! WISH I lived close, Id be there all the time.

My friend and I decided to head North towards the Sacramento area from the East Bay for a day of fabric shopping and lunch. All in all we visited 3 shops that day. Our first stop was Thistle Dew. We were greeted when we walked in, even though the cutting tables were busy and there was a class in progress, like we crossing th ed threshold of as friend. Staff answered questions and we were even given lunch location advice (we chose the cafe next door...delish!) After such a wonderful experience, we decided we would come back. Not only for the selection of fabrics, but because the ladies were so friendly and helpful!

I love this store! Very friendly. Great selection. Huge selection of beautiful quality fabrics. Looks to be a great selection of classes that always sound like theyre having a great time although i havent signed up for one yet.

We had lunch next door and 5 of us visited the store. Great staff, very helpful, and wonderful selection! Such a variety! I do hope to return.

Thistle dew is a wonderful quilt store. Great selection of Wools bright colors a wonderful quality. Also a full selection of Sue Spargo Threads.So very helpful sales people and I have attended attended classes greatTeachers. Thanks for such a great shop close to home.

I walk in the shop, its just me and the two clerks. One is cutting up fabric, the other is eating her lunch.The mood is cool, and it is as if they could care less.Do they really care if you walk in the door to spend money?

This is a premier quilt shop with loads of beautiful fabrics and wonderful tools and notions, as well as a great selection of wools and specialty threads. A ‘must stop’ if you’re in the Sacramento area!
