This place is great! They are very knowledgeable and have all the products I needed.
Every year I get my kids transitional summer workbooks to keep their minds sharp through the summer and this year I decided to buy local instead of going through the web. Called, books were in stock and from downtown was on my way. Half hour later I get there and the one staff member was very polite and helpful. For that I would love to give them 5 stars.However... I fell into a bit of sticker shock when she rang them up. Now I wasnt looking for internet prices, cuz Im into buying local and understand brick n mortar cant compete., but I wasnt into gouging prices either. Their price was 55% over internet pricing and 16% over retail. Which in the long run, is a huge difference.Lesson learned and guess I should have asked for a price before making the trip, but I assumed that the price wouldnt be anymore than the retail price. And yes, I know its just a couple of dollars, but lately everywhere I go it seems everything is 20% over priced and its putting a dent in the budget. Fortunately, theres another learning store in the area that has the same books for the internet discount pricing. So make sure you do your shopping diligence so youre not paying over the retail price.Edit: To respond, I did my due diligence before coming to your store and the manufacturers websites has the Summer Bridge series at 12.99 and the copies I bought from Learning Express after going to your store also has the retail price listed as 12.99. What I did notice on the books at your store was a sticker overlaid on top of the manufacturers barcode with the 14.99 price. So maybe your confused by the sticker that either you or your distributor put on the book. See added pics.
Best place ever for all age education
Absolutely love this place. The staff is incredible. Always happy to help even if they dont have the item.
Masks are required over your nose while inside and families are asked to stick together. Other than that, my favourite place to shop for homeschoolers.
Love this store, excellent customer service and some many educational resources!
This is an excellent resource for homeschool supplies. Its so important that we support local businesses, especially brick & mortars! I find it very helpful to be able to handle the products Im thinking about buying. They are very helpful & knowledgeable, and happy to work with the ins & outs of ordering with my charter.
Wonderful place for your home education needs, as well as classes and a large variety across the curriculum. If youre with a charter, you can spend your funding here. I do wish they had a larger, more comfortable waiting area for when kids are in class. And maybe friendlier new help.
Great store for homeschooling material. Wide selection of curriculum. We have now taken one class with Mr Davies. He is a good instructor even with a science class of two very active boys. Makes time to listen to the kids and answer their questions, no matter how silly.
One of the best homeschooling stores in town! Very knowledgable staff
Very helpful and well educated people that work there to help you like me a first time homeschool mom. Amazing place has practically everything even classes for you little ones.
Rude staff. Treated as if I were bothering her by asking such a stupid question. Decent selection of supplies. Will not be back.
Love the ladies here they are very helpful and actually know their materials in store and actually help people around the store. They are quick with their vendor service for homeschool or charter funding. Great. Love them. Fun classes, alittle on the pricey side but theyre fun.
Great resource for learning and homeschooling. They offer a nice variety of class for all ages throughout the week. Very helpful staff.
Great selection and very friendly staff!
This is my first, last and only experience with this place: I go there to pick up a teacher edition for a geometry book for my daughter whom I homeschool. I was greeted by Joni i believe her name was. She was THE most offensively rude person Ive ever encountered!! She treated us like we were stupid and carried the air of extreme impatience with us. She was beyond annoyed at having to check on the status of our order and then cut us off from speaking by even more rudely telling us we will get a phone call when the book arrives. I dont usually tolerate attitude like that but the vulgar display of contempt from this woman was unprecedented in anything ive ever experienced. This was in September it is almost December now and I still havent received the book and never received that phone call. I dont want it at this point.
Great as always. Friendly staff, very supportive. Clean store, tons to find.
They had what we needed, and the staff was great.
Great place to find school resources!! Very friendly and helpful staff!
This is my favorite store for curriculum or even toys. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The store has a great variety of curriculum and fun learning toys/activities. It has a cute kitchen playhouse and offers classes in the back.
Great place for all your school needs. The staff is amazingly helpful.
Love the options! The staff is very knowledgeable and willing to help. Everyone is friendly. It can be a one stop shop.
I bought a pack of glue sticks here which turned out to be dried out and totally useless. I brought them back 1 week later, with the reciept, and was told that I would get my $3 back in store credit. I told the cashier that if it were any more than $3 I would give her a hard time for insisting on store credit. She told me their policy is posted. I pointed out that there is an implied contract that the products they sell actually work, unlike mine, which was 100% useless and that I probably wouldnt ever buy anything there again knowing that, if it was broken or missing pieces, they would keep my money. Honestly, what stops them from putting those glue sticks right back on the shelf? Or any other broken, incomplete, or defective items? I wont be buying anything from Brighter Child in the future.So... Why did I give it two stars instead of one? Because they do have a great selection of home school supplies. If you see something you want though, I suggest you make sure it works before you pay!
Lots of homeschool supplies and curriculum to choose from. In addition they offer lots of classes for every grade level.
Well stocked. Always helpful! Classes are small and well done. Great place for learning and growing!
My son loves the science teacher here. It is worth every penny to see how fun this teacher makes his class!
This place has a lot to offer and all at your fingertips. If you want to look around expect to find yourself lost in all the offerings available.
Very nicely set up with lots of resources. They were extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
The staff is super helpful and will completely walk you through the whole process of curriculum especially if youre new at homeschooling. They have a really cute little playhouse in the back where the classes are for homeschoolers to wait with your younger children the kids love it.
Great staff, kids welcome to play while you shop. Great selection of homeschool tools.
I really like this store.....it has all kinds of materials for teaching children of all ages.
Very welcoming and informative staff....great products right at your fingertips
This place is really awesome even if you dont homeschool your children. The staff here is great. (very infectious so be careful) Plan to spend a lot of time here because they have so many great things to help you educate your child and itnis a lot of fun to look at all the possibilities, made me want to be in school again..in a good way. The personal service makes this place even better and their knowledge will help you decide what is best for your child, they have dozens of learning material styles for each subject and innovative dillydad things from interactive posters to robotic projects, even art supplies. Like I said, (and say again just to annoy you,jk)... if you dont homeschool your children its a great place anyway, but you may want to look into homeschooling because your materials are paid for (typically and with the right program) and its very rewarding... not to mention children learn more and a shorter amount of time, but its not for everyone, just my opinion and goes along with this place. Check this place out and see Joni, she is super mega awesome... oh, also they have preschool supplies for parents like Melissa and Doug Brand...etc. Thanks for reading my review, hope it helped.
This store has a lit of selection of homeschool materials. It is really nice to look through books before buying them.
The in store help is excellent. I expect to share the costs of a building and staff over an online store, however I also expect better inventory control to accompany the increased pricing. Drop the internal sku numbers and streamline ordering by using industry isbn and upc. I can order something from my phone and get it tomorrow. Retailers must be able to do the same in order to keep from closing.
Great place to find homeschool curriculum. Friendly staff
Great place I take my kids all the time
