Of all the contractors Ive used on my 1906 house, and all the projects Ive done, Collins ranks at the bottom. They delivered and installed the wrong doors and took multiple installations to get it right. I noticed a few months after the job that many of the bolts were loosening and parts were falling off and getting lost. When I called their office they asked me for the part numbers for the missing items since they didnt have room to keep files on their customers. A few months ago a piece of wood they had installed at the top of the garage wall to attach the cables broke loose. I checked it and they had used finish nails with narrow heads to fasten it to the garage, and the wood pulled through those nails. Kind of hard to imagine how this is an ongoing business. I saw their truck at a neighbors house and told them my story, they didnt get the job. Avoid this company.

Told me I didn’t need to replace my door, it was fine, just parts, when I thought I did, that saved me a lot of money. They talked to me over the phone when I had questions without coming over for a service call, Very reputable!

I have hired this company more then once to work on several properties. Today we had an emergency. We called Collins, the tech was named Bob. They showed up within an hour and did a very good job. Bob is nice to work with and he has a great mechanical skill set. Thank you for the fast response with satisfying results.

If you like poor customer service and poor quality work, call these guys. They gave me wrong parts and used parts and left a mess and holes in the ceiling of the garage. After several calls and a request for different employees they send the same 2 people back to fix it. Never called to say they were coming . Not recommended!!!

Have used Collins Overhead Door on a couple of occasions.Had an emergency with our garage door today, the whole process was a pleasure from the initial call yesterday late afternoon to the office the return call this morning to set up the appointment. The employee who showed up was great, looked at what needed to be done made the repair and saved us a bunch of money. it is nice to know there are still reputable companys out there. They also took all precautions with PPE gear because of Covid 19.Thank you,Mark Nolan

Employees are rude and hostile. Drug addicts working and driving their trucks. Definitely wouldn’t recommend with them being so unpredictable and unpleasant. If you have kids please be careful. Couldn’t tell you about their work as their gross attitude and craziness will drive you away way before getting service. Beware and be very careful definitely would seek other options. They are overpriced and quote you way off of actual price. Not to mention they are slobs throw stuff everywhere they won’t clean after themselves and their jobs are mediocre. Thank me later ❤️

Just had my garage door serviced by Collins Overhead Door Inc. The cables had snapped and needless to say, the garage door wouldnt open. Called them yesterday at about 7:30 pm and they were here at around 2:00 pm today. Rick and his colleague fixed it in 30-45 minutes and did a good job. The overall service charge seemed reasonable and the entire process was seamless.

Collins took my call and we set a time for a technician to come over. A friendly technician came right on time at 8 AM (the very start of the window for their arrival) and heard my issues with my garage door not closing, and now, barely operating. He ended up figuring out the issue was the limiter (or something similar sounding haha) and popped a new one in and it was fixed instantly. The service fee and part were VERY reasonable and I appreciated the help. He was even friendly with my new puppy and dealt with me needing to take her for a walk around front during the repair. I highly recommend Collins as the process from phone call to visit was exceptional. Thanks again!
