This place was great. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous. I had a sausage infused waffle. They sliced up sausage links and put them in the batter. There was probably 2-3 pieces in every bite. My wife had the European french toast and the bread was close to 2 inches think at least. My sons omelette was massive and full of goodness. And the biscuits are massive.
Our service was top notch thanks to our awesome waiter, he rocked! Our breakfast was amazing and came out very fast. It actually took more time for me to look over the menu and decid what I wanted then for our food to come out. Everything was delicious, seriously no complaints. If youre looking for a good hearty breakfast I highly recommend trying the Totem out... I think youll definitely be satisfied. I ordered the golden waffles topped with strawberries and Totem Cornish cream (*which is to die for).
These folks understand great service, great food and fun offerings...I mean Bacon explosion...I had to order it, devine!!! Loads of delicious food!! You know how the cook on your egg can make or break your breakfast, mine werent quite what I ordered and the chef came out personally, to make sure it wasnt too runny when they remade my poached eggs, perfection!!!
I used to live in Everett and loved this place and since moving to Tacoma a few years ago, hadnt been back. Well I had an event and was in the area and decided to come back for breakfast and I am SO glad I did! The food was fantastic, just as I had remembered and the service was amazing as well. Absolutely recommend all the food, especially the giant cinnamon rolls!!
We have eaten here once before and really liked it so, we thought wed try it again. We really enjoy our visit. The atmosphere was very friendly and comfortable. Chelsea was our server and we were glad she was! Our coffee cups were always full and served with a smile. The food came out promptly. Compliments to the chef the food was amazing! We will bring our friends here for sure! Good on you CHELSEA you ROCK!!!

Delicious french toast with fruit. If you can handle rich sweets, definitely get the Cornish whipped topping.The staff was very courteous and helpful.The tables were wiped down after each party left.If bell peppers dont agree with you, the hash might not be your dish.
I am not a breakfast person but wow this place makes me want to have breakfast everyday!!! The potatoes o brien and European French toast are SO GOOD!!! They’re not even open right now and it’s ten pm and I’m thinking about breakfast
Lovely people, all the breakfast/brunch options you could want. My Bacon Explosion lived up to expectations. Very attentive service even though the diner was very busy - these folks know what they are doing and they do it well.
I can say no bad about this joint! They nailed it! Excellent service, outstanding menu options and the best restaurant cuisine I can remember eating in quite some time. Im going back tomorrow to try another item from the weekly specials menu. Perfect, quintessential coffee shop. Great music and hot food!! Definitely a must try...you wont be disappointed.

Should you get the chance to do one final, meaningful thing in your life, then consider yourself lucky and go spend that last moment at Totem Family Dining. Eating your fill of the most delicious BACON youve ever tasted until you fade out of existence. Please note they would probably prefer you wait till youre out of the restaurant to pass on, but the bacon is that good.Oh, and for those loved ones with you, theres a bunch of other really good food too. I dig the giant biscuits and gravy. Well, really anything covered in gravy gets my vote. 😉
Great food and wonderful atmosphere - you can definitely tell why this is a local favorite. I was there with a group of 10 and every one of us was shocked by the size of these plates!! Huge breakfast menu served all day, and plenty of options for lunch and dinner as well. The staff was quick, efficient, friendly, and attentive. The only thing I would want is a steak and eggs breakfast option and/or a steak dinner. Was really craving steak, but what I got filled me up and didnt let me down! Youre going to need a box for leftovers.
Well worth the wait. The food had that rustic home style quality I prefer. Everyone at the table ordered something different. I spotted a few things I want to try in the future. My only complaint is their gravy isn’t all that.
I visited right at lunch time. They were super busy but greeted me promptly and got a table ready for me. I was originally brought the wrong beverage but it was quickly amended. I ordered the souper duper grilled cheese. Yall Ive never had a sandwich so jam packed with ooey-gooey, delicious melty cheese. It was served with a mountain of fries and a pickle wedge.The sandwich was awesome and the fries were good. My biggest issue was the noise level. The place is relatively small and was packed. In addition to the chatter all around and the screaming kid near me, the music being blasted was crazy loud.

Simply great. Clean nice diner with great food.Usually when I see a huge menu its a sign that dishes will taste average. Not in this case. Ordered eggs Benedict an hour before they close and they tasted delicious. Bread pudding is lovely. Portions are big. Staff is polite, helpful and quick. Only good experience from visiting. Will definitely be back for breakfast or lunch.
Always fantastic food and ridonculously huge portions! It can get pretty full so sometimes there is a wait, but it is worth it. They also do take out. The staff are incredible and friendly! I highly recommend you visit sometime!
The Place which is locals eat! Outstanding breakfast with large selection to choose from. Only problem is be ready to take a nap afterwards because they do give you plenty of food.

We enjoy coming here. It’s always busy and there’s always a wait to get seated. Not a bad thing. Food is always amazing. I love their special hash browns. It’s never been a disappointment for us. Customer service is always amazing. Even with the new way of life, they always do their best to provide good customer service and keeping themselves in compliance with the new mandate.
Totem is the best breakfast around! It’s like the old school breakfast restaurant where it’s all fresh, busy and just real breakfast food! They have amazing omelettes and yummy pancakes and waffles made from scratch! Oh and can’t forget bacon yummy! Staff is very friendly and reliable service

The cooks make really good food and if you plan come to eat here. The best time to come is between 7-9. Otherwise expect a 15-30 minute wait. I gave them a 4 star bc their chairs are super uncomfortable.
This place is a surviving relic of bygone days. Friendly servers know a lot of the clients by name. The four egg omelettes are great, almost too much food but I managed to finish it.

I had not seen my son Paul in a long while, the Totem was perfect for a cozy catch-up. Our only complaint, the biscuits were way too salty!

I wish I had the presence of mind to take pictures, but it was honestly so exciting just to dine in a busy diner again, and to have it be such a warm and engaging environment, with servers chatting and joking with new customers and regulars alike... well, I almost forgot about the food. Or I would have, if it werent so good. It was actually challenging to pick from the menu. That just means well have to go back for more! And maybe Ill remember pictures next time ;)
Great food. Giant portions. I especially like the chicken fried steak. Service is always good. They are usually busy, but wait times are reasonable. Highly recommend.

Get the barge! I love that they have an option for biscuits and gravy that includes eggs, sausage and potatoes. It was soooo good too! If I lived closer I would go back in a heartbeat, heck Id be there right now! This place is a classic American diner! Honestly I have never really been impressed by diners and usually opt for a more hipster brunch spot but this place takes the cake!

This is the best place to go eat breakfast! My wife and I drive a few hours just to come here. For those concerned about safety precautions they are taking, I can assure you, they are taking safety very seriously. Ive never seen a waiter work so hard to ensure the safety of their customers. No matter where we are, this place is our favorite breakfast place. Try it! Everything on the menu is delicious.
Service was a bit slow because they were so busy. Had the French Dip, really yummy. You better like fries, I have never gotten so many with an order. Anywhere!
Love the food and atmosphere. Very unpretentious and friendly. Been going here for years when the original owners were here. Still amazing home cooked food. Today I had Mothers Biscuits and Gravy with a side of tomatoes. Come hungry or you can share the huge portions. Packed house even on a weekday. Its because its good food!

The place was packed at 10:30 am on a Wednesday morning but we didn’t have to wait too long for a seat. I had the Farmers scramble and it was so big I took it home with me for two more meals. The menu is quite extensive and breakfast is served all day. The waitress was very nice and service was great. The only bad things are the parking nearby was short so you might have to walk a little and you won’t be seated until all of your party is there (no exceptions). I think I’ve rediscovered my favorite breakfast place.
Breakfast on a weekend, had to wait 10 minutes. Wait staff was quick to take orders and to get food served. Always a favorite for breakfast.
CUSTOMERS BE WARE!!Car was broken into in the parking lot today. Employees and owner are aware that cars are being broken into in their parking lot. Filed a police report and police are also aware of the theft problem at this establishment. Should have signs to make sure to take valuable belongings with you and be more proactive against the thieves. No cameras on the premises.

I ordered a PIT ham and eggs breakfast with hash browns and coffee. The ham was eight inches long and thrown over mushy potatoes and barely cooked eggs. I ate some ham, two bites of potatoes and my toast. Only gave it a one because the coffee was drinkable.
The staff at Totem works so hard, you see them weaving in and out of the kitchen with coffee and amazing food. I give them a 10/10 for customer service, teamwork, and Yumminess!
Awesome staff, great food! Portions are huge and decent price. I had eggs Benedict and it was perfect. My son had dollar size pancake breakfast it was huge, filling and as he said So good. The host that seated us was so nice, he made my son an over the top hot chocolate with a mountain of whip cream because he felt bad for him having a sunburnt face. Like I said at the beginning, awesome staff, great food.

Always a terrific spot for breakfast no matter the day of the week. Expect some long delays on the weekend due to its popularity but the service and portions cannot be beat. Best service in the area hands down, they care and want you to know it. Covid dining inside is done well and with the spaced seating and dividers between booths, which we actually like them for a permanent plan, you are very comfortable. Couple local house made favorites that will keep you coming back time and time again. Enjoy!
My waiter today was the most amazing breath of fresh air, with the times were in on top of busy work flow this guy went above and beyond to make EVERYONE, happy in the restaurant, this man is flying around, cleaning, taking orders, conversing as he walks through (not stopping work ) but doing it all at once making all of us smile, meeting our needs, my cup never was empty once, this is the most amazing worker I’ve ever seen here, I’ve lived here for 24 years and have been coming to the totem for a long time, I’ve never seen this kind of happy, hard working person of this caliber, everyone else here is nice and hard working but this man stands out, legendary, goes above and beyond, works so hard and so fast, he definitely deserves a raise or his own restaurant to run, he knows what he’s doing THANK YOU SONNY AT THE TOTEM IN Everett for your amazing service and friendliness and for restoring my hope in people having a good work ethic still,SONNY YOUR A ROCK STAR, I manage a business and if you would like to grow reach out the next time you see us here!

Probably my own fault that I didnt like the food. A giant plate with OBrien potatoes, gravy, biscuit, eggs and chicken fried steak. It all tasted very oily. The steak was dry.

Wow this place is not what it used to be. Used to be this great family place with reasonable prices and great service. Food is still good but wow did they make it pricey. Breakfast for myself and my two daughters was $73.00. We were overcharged and waiter stole extra money. I let them know and nothing was done: it’s IHOP now with crazy prices. Sad
Wait time was 45 minutes. We left and ate elsewhere. Seemed to be a steady line.. We made it back. No waiting this time. Had a nice meal, good service. Definitely go back.
