From the first time we met Roger to look at a C&C 34, we felt wed found a great resource in our quest for our family sailboat. He is personable, honest, and generous with his time and knowledge.Though that particular yacht wasnt for us, he spent another hour to talk to us about our needs and show us a few more boats around the marina--even some that werent for sale but that we might want to keep our eyes open to find from other brokers. About a week later, we noticed a new listing at Port Gardner Yachts and called immediately. This time we reached Rogers partner, Marty. He agreed to show us the Irwin 35.5 Citation that afternoon. We were immediately smitten and dropped an offer that very day. Like Roger, Marty is a gem of a guy and as gregarious and generous as they come. In short, Roger and Marty have been amazing partners in making this dream come true for us--mentoring us through the process, introducing us to local marine service providers, and even getting the boat hauled out for us after we owned it so some fiberglass repairs could be accomplished in our absence at Lakota Marine. To cap it all off, Marty--once an accomplished sailor on the Rolex circuit--has even agreed to take us out for a cruise and give us some pointers on our new boat in exchange for sharing a meal with my family afterward. This is only a small sampling of the exceptional service weve been blessed to receive from these two gentlemen. It has been a pleasure working with Roger and Marty. We recently purchased our Hunter 310 from Port Gardner Yacht Brokerage. While looking for a boat to buy, we had the opportunity to work with Marty and Roger, and they were both extremely knowledgeable and friendly, without being the least bit pushy. They made themselves as available as possible to show us multiple boats before we decided on the Hunter.
