HE DIDN’T HOOK MY TRAILER UP RIGHT AND IT CAME OFF DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND DAMAGED MY BRAND NEW CAR. EVERYONE THERE HAS TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Reserved a truck to move a family member.Not knowing for sure what time we would get there since we were coming in from out of town the night before, we made it for 7am.When we arrived at 8:20, we tried to do the no contact rental. Messed with the app and the kiosk outside for 15 min., then went inside only to find they let our truck go to someone else, without checking with us.Terrible attitudes by Mgr. and staff workers!No truck for us & we had to have one that day. Their excuse was being busy, yet they had a new employee just sitting there that couldve made calls to (us) the customer before releasing the reserved truck, blankets & dolly.They do not have anything written or stated that after x amount of time on the day of rental, you forfeit your reservation. I would expect to be charged if I did not show or cancel it over the phone.Avoid this place!!Alternate spot where we found a truck 3 hrs later said this place has had multiple Manager turnover in last yr plus, which is obvious in the lack of customer service skills shown.

Spoke with management to have a uBox shipped a month after loading it as I wasnt sure where the nearest location would be at my new address. For whatever reason, uhaul shipped my box three weeks early without even getting the transportation payment. Tried to call this location to get it fixed and they just said I needed to call the 800 number with no explanation or apologizes anything. Now Im calling all over to figure out how to get my stuff where I need it.

Rented a van on June 19th. Two weeks later then ran my card for a transaction amount of $40.18. Did not give permission to run my card. Modern day theft will be contacting my bank & filing a lawsuit on uhaul. For making a fraudulent transaction without my permission. Will not use these business again, STAY FAR AWAY FROM THESE BUSINESS! Will take money once they have your credit card info

Theres an infestation of cockroaches going on in all the storage buildings. Roaches scatter under your feet where u walk. It takes more than one request to get anything done due to them being understaffed. Their employees are wonderful but overworked so theyll be gone if it continues.

WOW.I showed up on time to pick up my truck. No masks, so sanitizer & no distancing from employees or other customers. The staff was very busy arguing about who got to leave first instead of helping customers. I checked in and went out side where my truck was supposed to be pulled around to me. Everyone outside ignored me for 30 minutes, no one would tell me what was going on or even acknowledge me at all. Finally the employee from inside came outside and let me know they were trying to give my truck to someone else. The truck was not sanitized & almost out of gas. It took over an hour to get the truck I had already reserved online.The actual truck is fine, but the experience and staff were awful, I would recommend finding a friend with a truck.

I visited this location multiple times to pick up boxes and supplies for a recent move. Employees were never wearing masks and never sanitizing surfaces. The first trip, I assumed it was just one non-compliant employee, but on my 2nd trip there I noticed even the manager was walking close to the customers in line without a mask. Very poor leadership in the midst of a pandemic. I would advise going elsewhere if youre wanting to limit your exposure to unmasked employees.

Horrible customer service. Rented a truck and two weeks later was charged a 300 dollar charge for a scratch on a tail light that wasnt there when we dropped it off. No one can answer my question about the insurance that we purchased for the 3 hour rental. Will never go back to this location again

My daughter Rented truck in TN for 2 days, I went to pick up as it was for me, I told Kayla I only needed it for one day, she said when I arrived in Evansville they would refund the money for the 2nd day: I picked truck up at 2:30 pm on Sat 11/21 and returned on Sunday 11/22 at 2pm. After waiting for 15 minutes to be waited on, and then another 15 min for guy to go outside check out truck, come back in and started looking at his co-workers computer, I interrupted and asked if everything checked out and mentioned refund, he was clueless, said no refund that I needed to call Murfreesboro TN where I rented. Nicole answered and I told her was Kayla told me the day before and she said she made a mistskeI busted my butt to have truck returned on time for refund, was told to call corporate I called corporate was rudely told no refundUhaul will not get my business in the future.

Very very helpful staff. Got my free month of storage for renting the truck . Was supposed to have another drop off point in Columbia. This would have caused the truck to be returned late. I asked the person working the counter, who was also the owner, to see if we could just use this as our drop off point to save time so we wouldnt get charged. He was very accommodating and let us do this. He saved us on time and money. Neither of which we have a lot of right now. And the woman who showed us to our unit was so helpful and lovely. Rent from here if you can. Costumer service was excellent

I moved out of my storage unit on the 14 of January. I was told to leave it empty and unlocked. That I wouldn’t be charged for January,and my account would be closed. I was called and confirmed that I had moved out of my storage unit. I wake up today on the 24th to find I was indeed charged,and was called today to find out if I had moved out. AGAIN. This account should had been closed by the 15th. I was apologized too,told that he (Robert) remembered me,and this would taken care of. Hours later and nothing done I call back to check on things. I get put on hold for 15minutes,and then get hung up on. Called again,and spoke to someone not at the location. They only closed my account today as the payment was taken out. I was told that I would issued a refund and contacted. It has yet to happen. I was told several times everything was taken care of to be lied too. Rentals are great,but they seem to get every last dime they can,and lie to do so. I demand my refund. I was promised not to be charged. This is absolutely ridiculous and shady. I will be calling customer service number tomorrow to file a more official complaint. This is absolutely shady.

Tried to rent a trailer they gave us the incorrect size we asked for the first time. Paid for the correct size after they gave us the incorrect trailer but the correct size wasted the majority of our day and didn’t give us our money back after we asked for it.

When I got there I had to wait for over 15 mins, just to get to talk with someone about picking up a truck that was already reserved and payed for, only to be told that the payment was only for the reservation and that I couldnt use that same card to book the truck itself (and I didnt have the card with me), so after another half hour of hassle, and $100 out of my pocket, I finally had my truck. We reserved a 17ft truck, and they were out of that, and the 20ft trucks, so they upgraded me to a 26ft truck. I didnt need that large of a truck, as it kept me from packing my stuff in as tight, plus is was more difficult to maneuver and park. With getting started with the moving at 2pm, instead of 1pm, I was running behind and wasnt going to be able to get the truck back by 7pm, but their customers service representative was exceptionally helpful, and allowed me to bring the truck back after hours for no additional charge! Im giving this place 4 stars out of 5 because of her help, but otherwise it would be about a 1 or a 2! I wish I could remember her name, because i would post it here because she deserves a promotion, and is the only reason I would consider doing business with this U-Haul again!

Horrible place. Went there 3 times today, line was almost to the door, while an emoyee had his feet up on the desk. Made reservation online, told trailer was ready. When got there they said trailers were local only. Specifically told agent needed trailer for one way. Blonde that worked there very rude . Asked when my money would be refunded, practically threw card at me and told me to call manager Monday . Will never use uhaul ever again.

Great customer service! Everyone here is very helpful. The steps to getting a Uhaul was fast and easy. We called the night before to reserve the truck we wanted. The people on the phone were helpful and they tried there best to get us the truck we needed. When we went to get the truck everything went very smooth and fast. We returned the truck with no issues and all was well.

Great facility,fast. I love their wireless communication. It leads to zero lag time for the consumer. i HAD TO RETURN SOME BOXES UNUSED FROM MY PUT OF STATE MOVE. They took them without any complaints. Hank even helped me look up the transaction number as I had lost my receipt. Superb!

Extremely poor service. The service counter was left entirely unattended which left us to wait nearly 15 minutes until the manager eventually walked in. The manager was very unhelpful. He continually interrupted us to deal with employees or to make phone calls about other reservations. He also tried to tack on a $45 processing fee (nearly doubling our bill) to use the debit function on my card instead of credit. When we asked him how to avoid the processing fee, he first acted like it was a necessary fee and only told us how to avoid the fee after we pressed him. I felt as though they were attempting to scam me at every opportunity they had. I definitely will not be returning to them in the future.

Procedure for renting storage space is very disorganized and the young man working in the office was rude and not interested in helping. Finally an older gentleman was able to help solve the problem. I dont know who owns or manages this facility, but the young man needs to work on his customer service skills or needs to be fired!

With others, we waited upwards of an hour to check in and pick up our truck, but no employees were there. Upon calling the stores number, no one answered. Upon calling the international U-Haul line, after being on hold for ten minutes was told we are experiencing problems, goodbye. Some of shaving a schedule, and uHaul apparently doesnt care about that.

I wish there was an option which had Zero starts in the rating. That is how my experience was when I rented a 15’ truck this time here.1) Alignment on the truck was way off and kept pulling to the right all the time.2) These people forgot to put the Equipment Dolly that I had chosen for! And were outright mean about it when I asked them the next day.3) The worst customer response with Zero concern of customer satisfaction.

Customer service was TERRIBLE. I never received a call the day before to confirm my pick up. I chose the mobile pick up option, the key was not put in the box so i was unable to get the truck through mobile pick up! I had to wait for 15 minutes for the store to open up, go into the store and re-fill everything out that i had ALREADY DONE ONCE online. They could not meet the preferred time, and my truck was not ready for me to pick up. On their website it says $50 back guarantee if we do not meet the preferred time and fail to call you the day before. I have called multiple customer service reps. and this location to try to get it resolved and they said its not their fault that it is mine! I will NEVER use u-haul again.

RUN FROM THIS PLACE!!! Manager is a total jerk, interrupts you, doesnt care at all about your issue, THIS PLACE TRAPS YOU INTO PAYING MORE MONEY! When i got my truck it only had 1/4 of a tank, i moved all day was exhausted, figured i would just pay the gas fee but then they added a 30 extra fee on top of the fee for gas, for tank being returned lower than 1/4 of a tank, i drove 30 miles and they charged me 43 dollars for gas!!! had the tank been full at the start it wouldnt of been under a 1/4. Smh CROOKS! They did that on purpose hoping i wouldnt gas up and they could inforce there crooked policy. When we go there they had 1 guy running counter, took me 35 min to get my truck. They said i agreed to this policy, i didnt, i was instructed to look at a very small poorly lit screen to confirm the gas level, there was very small print below it i couldnt see that prolly stated the policy, the guy checking me in said nothing about this policy. This place is an absolute joke and has zero customer service the only thing they care about is getting all the money they can legally get from you. Go someplace elese, this place isnt worth your time or money, horrible.

Very bad experience with the manager. They double-charged me, and instead of crediting my acount, I was told by the manager that I would have to take it up with my bank. Ive never herd of such a thing, when he admitted to the problem, but I guess he was to lazy, or, just didnt know what he was doing. I do not recommend this place as a customer service friendly place to do business with. So now I have to take MY time, out of my day, and file a complaint, and grievance with my bank for this fraudulent charge.

This is the only location that always seems to give me issues. I rent several trucks a month and this is the only location that I have issues with. They over charge and dont listen to the customers. Rent from a different location than this one, dont give them your money or time. Corporate should come in and clean house....

I had a great experience here with the friendly staff who were willing and able to answer all my questions and help me out learning how to hook my car up to the tow dolly. They were accommodating and great with supplying both the truck and moving supplies.

Incompetent people working here. Made appointment for remote pick up and they forgot to put the key in the lockbox. So I waited for them to open. Then had to set up another appointment from scratch once inside because they couldnt edit my prior appointment. Mileage was wrong in the truck so I documented it and signed a piece of paper and took pics of it with the paper. Was told it would be taken inside and adjusted immediately. Came back 4 hours later and the mileage never got adjusted. The only 2 working there that I saw blamed one another behind each others back. I was over compensated for the mileage during checkout. I called corporate to claim their $50 reservation guarantee and make a complaint on the store. Over an entire week I was bounced between 3 different floor agents to the GM of the actual store location where I was then compensated again for the mileage. I assume he didnt read the complaint properly or it wasnt submitted with proper English. I called to complain about that since $13 isnt $50 and talked to the GM directly this time. He was rude and said what I wanted was ridiculous. I called corporate again and was put in touch with the district manager in Louisville. She looked into the situation and said she would talk to the GM about it. When she called me back she claimed I was not eligible for the $50 reservation guarantee because they got me a truck still. Even though it was almost 30 mins after I got there to pick it up and didnt pick it up in the manner I requested. Which is 2 of the 4 criteria for their reservation guarantee and you only need to meet 1 of 4 criteria. She said since I was taken care of within 15 mins of them opening I didnt qualify. I feel like this number was made up and asked her to prove it since it didnt state this anywhere on their website terms. She said it was part of their policy. I also was only taken care of within 15 mins because I stood in the cold at the door for 5 mins before they opened to get in front of the other people parked waiting.

Worst. Service. Ever. The GM cancelled our order without our knowledge or permission! On June 15, my husband picked up our U-Box. We returned it on June 16. It was supposed to arrive at our destination, across the country, by July 2. By July 1 we had heard nothing about the box, so we looked it up online. It was still in storage at this Evansville location! No one at this location could answer my questions so they forwarded us to U-Haul Customer Service. It took hours for someone to finally get ahold of the GM, Nathan Stallings, and to put in a customer action report for my request. The GM said that a man having a domestic dispute came in and cancelled the shipment. Well, it wasnt me and it wasnt my husband. That tells me that this location has incompetent personnel. They did not verify the identity of the person or the order that was to be cancelled. No storage, pickup, or other delivery options were scheduled. There is just a rogue box with my stuff in it. It is now July 5... Three days after my order was supposed to arrive... We have made phone calls every day to U-Haul, U-Box, and the U-Haul at this Evansville location. The GM was supposed to call me and never did. He wont call me back. He mysteriously is never there when I call. No one has told me when my box ships, when it will arrive at my new home, how much I have to pay for this. My family has no furniture here. We have three days worth of clothing per person. We had to go out and buy new clothes for me to wear to college and for my husband to wear to job interviews because we only packed one outfit for that. Our infant daughter is sleeping on the floor with us. She has no bed. No mattress. No bouncer. No extra clothes. She only has a handful of toys that we traveled with and a few days of clothes, which does NOT last long with baby diaper leaks. We cant afford to go out and buy new stuff until the box arrives, if it ever does, but we are making do. Do not use this location. Drive the extra few minutes to another one for better service.Update: It is July 8. No one has called me with updates on anything. Nathan Stallings continues to ignore my calls. Today I had to be routed through U-Haul Regional Management Office for assistance. The woman I spoke with remembered calling Nathan to ask why my box got cancelled and said he had no clue, yet hes the one that did it. Apparently on July 4, Nathan himself put notes on my shipment that it was scheduled to ship expedited and arrive by July 15. Appropriate discounts are to be applied when the box arrives. No one felt the need to update me on this. I called Evansville on July 4 and July 5 and left messages and received no calls back. I called U-box and no one told me any of this. I will update again when the box arrives, if it ever does.Update: July 8, I just tried to call the Evansville location so ask about how much this will cost. Whoever answers their phones off-site told me the system shows 2 people at the location today. She sent them a message and someone is supposed to call me by the end of the work day, hopefully within the hour. Well see how that goes.Update: All said and done, I didnt get my shipment until July 20. They still tried to make me pay full price for it. The GM Nathan himself called me asking about it. After some talk, I got it for free, aside from the $362 I had already paid to reserve the box and put insurance on it and pay the movers I scheduled the day I placed my original Uhaul reservation.Do not use this place.

They have double charged my card, and over drafted my bank account twice now. They also lack in keeping up with their own information and customer service is almost none existent, almost.In renting the truck they were pretty helpful; once returned the stress began. I rented the truck on a budget on short notice to help a friend move some things in a time of need. I of course could only estimate my mileage and inevitably went over a few hundred miles. I simply didnt have the money and explicitly told them not to charge the card again. They simply needed to allow me a little time. A week later I found my account over drafted and that my checking account had been closed. They had ran my card anyway after me saying not to. They got the recently added $87.18 and left my account negative with an added over draft fee. This lead to my first encounter with customer service on the phone.I called my bank who advised me to dispute the charges on the grounds my card was ran without permission. I went on to call U-Haul to try and work this out and over the phone they were dismissive and borderline rude. I went on to file the dispute in what has turned into a month long dispute trying to save my bank account.I had been working with my bank to fix this which resulted in stress, time and money lost fixing that. I got my bank account to $1.00 and despite still losing the money I had, I was just relieved to see my account fixed. I went on to talk to U-Haul at this point with the means to pay off my bill with the intentions to fix this and get this whole ordeal off my shoulders. I got passed around the same three departments and put on hold numerous times. No one seemed to be able to keep track of how much I owed and there was no account of my $87.18 on top of this I found I now had a $30.00 late fee tagged on bringing my balance owed to $130.81. I finally talked to someone with some sense and found I could track my balance online but she couldnt see an accurate bill on her end. I looked online and saw where my $87.18 went into the total bill and we discussed my plans to pay. Since the reason the payment was late was because of their error and I had to spend my time, money and efforts on fixing my bank before I could even pay them they agreed to waive the $30.00 late fee bringing my total to $100.81. I saw no reason to continue the dispute with my bank and ended it. The money cleared my bank at midnight and the next day I paid them the $100.81 in full. The money came out of my account on November 25th and I received an e-mail with a receipt clarifying I paid in full and that I no longer owed them any money. I thought this was behind me. I was wrong...Tonight November 27th I went to deposit some money to find they charged me the full $130.00 now charging me twice leaving my checking account closed with a balance of -$107.99. Its of course too late for me to handle this and I find that its very clear that their staff is uncoordinated and they are extremely poor at keeping records/information. This is now two months of extreme stress that has now begun to affect me on a psychological and physical level. Not to mention the extra time and money they are continuing to STEAL from me.People deserve to know what type of people they are dealing with. This has been going on since October when it should have been finished had they paid attention to and respected my wishes and just worked with me as I TRIED to with them.Id also like the mention that, by U-hauls standards the truck was returned a day early. I also detailed the truck myself to ensure it came back as clean as it left with a touch more gas than it left with, none of which was taken into consideration.

Be sure you verify the miles they have on the contract before you leave. Compare it to whats on the dash.Theyre happy to sign it to verify it, fold it up, and hand it to you with a lower number on the paper than whats on the dash.Customer service is horrendous. So unfriendly.

My experience with this place was terrible. They overcharged me & tried to cover it up with some fake charges that I knew nothing about.
