If you are buying or selling vinyl this is the place to go in the Evansville area dont waste your time with book broke... unless of course you want to listen to the staff argue with their customers. Space monkey records has a kind and courteous staff. They also seem like all around good honest people that you can trust to give you a fair price when buying or selling.Five stars from me.plus I like the name..

Over graded an LP that I paid NM money for and I’d say it’s barely a VG+. Lots of light scuffs and scratches that easily take it out of the NM category, which should not be taken lightly. Not nearly perfect as per the Goldmine guide, there’s not supposed to be any visible defects. Honest sellers should stick to these standards. Just calling it VG+/E and charging a little less would be fine. No need to be misleading.

Very cool and fun store full of all kinds of music! Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to come back, I could spend hours in there.

Space monkey is one of the coolest places in the world! The owners are the dopest and have some of the best customer service I’ve ever had.Highly recommend this local gem and will continue to go back anytime I’m in need or just want to feel the nostalgic atmosphere they have created at their shop!

This place is awesome. Spent two and a half hours looking through records. Prices are great. If your into records you will not be disappointed!

Woman who works there was polite. I was there to try to sell jazz records. She explained they didnt buy jazz records, mostly rock or rock/pop, classics. Would be good if youre looking to buy or sell records of those particular genres.

An amazing record store with a massive collection of vinyls. They also have a self serve warehouse full of vinyl. Its a must to visit if you are a fan of vinyl.

I wish I had found this place earlier in the day so I could have some time more time looking. I came home with 15 new finds, four that has exciting. Just wish I lived closer. Definitely will stop in anytime Im in town. This is a gem.

Incredible place. They had a State Farm event with Brian Southern that I went for and was overwhelmed with how cool Space Monkey was. The owner is an awesome guy and you will get lost in their store for a long time looking through the merch. I highly recommend this place to anyone, but make sure you have plenty of time!

This place is awesome! LPs, 8 track, music DVDs, comics....something for all of us. Loved walking down memory lane with my husband while we looked through the albums. Were old. Nice people too.

Really cool place to shop. Large collection of records with a variety of artists and genres. Prices on the bulk of the albums was very reasonable. Some specialty albums were more expensive, with good reason.

I have been here once and will probably not be back. The store is overwhelming in sight and sound. The music playing in this tiny space is oppressively loud and there is minimal organization to the records (which are almost exclusively rock albums from the 70s & 80s). They advertise specializing in rock and they mean it. There is 1 half full milk crate for hip-hop & rap. Website has an option for you to contact them about what youre looking for and they will search for you. Main reason I will not be back, and left without a purchase, is because of the dust and the cat. If youre allergic to cats, even with a mask, youll probably have a problem breathing in here. This is a place for people that identify as vinyl collector & like digging through a hoard of dirty records. It is not for the casual music lover or impulse shopper.

They are much to high for anything in the store, I can buy stuff off of Amazon brand new cheaper than that place sells used I will never ever go to that place ever again!!!!!!!!

I had specifically asked for an original of Metallicas And Justice For All. And they proceeded to order me a 2018 reissue and not a 1988 original and charged me $40 for a record worth $23 that I could buy at Walmart. I understand some of it is my fault due to my ignorance because I am new to collecting vinyl. I feel that they could see I was new to collecting and took advantage of it.

Shop has lots of stock for your shopping needs. I was pleased to see so much more than I have seen at other local shops that are big chains or advertised on saying they have plenty.Staff was very polite & willing to help us out looking for specific things or items that are hard to find.Ill definitely come back for shopping vinyl & possibly comics.

I drove to this record store from Louisville, Kentucky (a total of 4 hours of driving back and forth) and I can genuinely say it was worth every bit of the trip. They have a huge selection of records in all genres and their prices are some of the best Ive ever encountered. Aside from this the store is very unique and colorful and the staff are wonderful and friendly. I definitely hope to visit again soon!!

Went here looking for some Christmas records for my mom dead in the middle of summer. They were incredibly helpful and had a nice selection of just about everything it seemed. If you havent been here even just to look around you need to. Another local gem.

Love this place for vinyl!! First trip in there and I found 4 albums I wanted in great condition! The people running this place are very friendly, courteous, and willing to help. Im in vinyl heaven! See you all again real soon (like tomorrow). Im going to need time to get through the volume in this place!

I was able to find some very good quality albums. Super friendly staff and thousands upon thousands of records to dig through. If you love vinyl and love the thrill of the hunt as I do, this is your place. I’m absolutely thrilled to have them. When it comes to music, there’s really nothing that can beat the warmth and presence of a vinyl record. If you like a particular artist, they even over a service to be on the look out for those records. They found a Tom Petty live album that I didn’t have and notified me. Excellent! Thank you!

I collect records and I was not let down by the place, i went on wednesday and got 6 records, (5 paid for and 1 free) and they were classics, highly recommend, highly.

This place is your one stop shop for records. They have anything from Queen to Arethra Franklin. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Their prices are very cheap, to give you a good deal if its looking new to its getting kinda old.

This is a nice little spot to find a decent selection of records, Im happy to be able to buy from a local shop instead of department stores
