My wife and I saw Art Van was going out of business and we decided to drop in and see what deals they are offering. We were immediately greeted by Chuck who did an excellent job showing us around (but not too good of a job where he wouldn’t leave us alone!) and eventually lead us to a couch that was 75% off its original value. Needless to say we jumped, and are beyond happy with our purchase. Would definitely shop with this company (or whatever entity is buying it out) again!

The buying experience was awesome!! I hate furniture shopping because I feel like I am being stalked, but Fonzie was awesome!! He met us at the door, made his introduction then left us alone to look around. Every now and then he would pop by to answer questions then leave us alone to look. I loved him! Great experience!! And the couch is beautiful too.

Had a decent experience shopping. Took advantage of the closing sale. The sales man was very nice, knowledgeable, and NOT pushy. However... delivery experience was awful. Between the drivers being an hour behind, to getting lost multiple time, and then arriving 3 hours late, not knowing how to back their truck up to the house, and smoking while unloading our furniture, I was not happy. During each phone call, they would say they were a few-10 minutes away. Then after 30, I would call again or eventually get a call from them saying the same thing. Delivery time at the latest was supposed to be 4. It was 7. Communication was terrible. Lots of complaining. But the worst part was the smoking. On our property, and around our brand new furniture....and their truck got stuck in the yard. Damage control

They were super nice and not pushy but their closing prices were still higher than most of their competitors especially one right across the parking lot. I was able to find comparable loveseats for $100-$200 less at another store that wasn’t even having a deep sale. This is part of the reason I priced things out before going into the store because I know they jack up the original price to make it look like a good deal.

My review is 100% based on the help we received from Fonzie. We’ve been searching for a couch for a couple of months and visited several stores. My wife and I wanted two different styles of couch and we couldn’t find one we agree’d on. After looking at almost every couch in the store with us and moving furniture all over the place to see what looks good, Fonzie found us the perfect couch. Using his expertise, he looked up a model that was not in store but set to deliver in the next few days. It was the perfect in-between of what my wife and I had been searching for. Fonzie stayed after hours to help us find the couch we wanted and never once did he act pressed for time or seem frustrated. He seemed to enjoy the process and showed a passion for his work. Still waiting after 1 week for a refund that was supposed to be back in my account in 48-72 hours and it’s still not in there. I’ve called twice and have been told the accountant is the only one able to do returns. Not to mention the second time I called the girl got an attitude and sent me to someone else after explaining she’s the store manager. No wonder this place is closing. Good riddance.

He did not push products on us he asked the right questions to figure what we were looking for and helped us find several products that fit our specification and went above and beyond to help us figure out lead times and get everything figured out for us. My wife and I could really tell that Fonzie enjoyed what he did and worked to get products that the customer wanted and needs rather than pushing unnecessary products to get sales.

The 60% off is just fraudulent advertising. Nothing we saw in the hundreds of items we looked at was 60% off. Some things were reduced by 30-40%. All items were still beyond reasonably priced. This liquidation sell is what I would consider a scam. No bargains, nothing reasonably priced.

We spent time researching and looking for living room furniture to accommodate us for longevity. I am short and have issues with finding something that will work for me and my husband. Once we new exactly what we wanted Mike provided us with the best price. It took a while due to covid for us to receive our furniture (which we expected) but Mike kept us informed and it actually came in sooner than estimated. We received right before Thanksgiving and we are extremely happy with our purchase. The delivery was timely and Craig took great care of moving in and setting up. He made sure everything worked and placed where we wanted in our living room. We couldnt be happier with the furniture and great service provided to us from Art Van Furniture. Sales person Erik was helpful without being overbearing, allowing us to browse and answering questions when we had them. Wide selection of furniture, including a discounted area. Went in search of a sofa - left purchasing a sofa and loveseat set that offered more seating at our budget for a single sofa. Delivery was offered, but a bit expensive as they hire an outside service. Opted to pickup our purchase the following weekend. Warehouse manager Craig was helpful and courteous, offered advice for the best and safest transport of our new furniture set. Sofa and loveseat were made in MS; beautiful, sturdy American made product and we are highly satisfied with the product and purchase experience.

Our experience with art van was terrible. We purchased a dining table, four, chairs, a bench and a large sectional in February of 2019. It took several weeks to receive all of our furniture, we didn’t have everything until April 5th. By September 2019 the top of our dining table was warped, scratched and dented. We cleaned this table according to the instructions and we used trivets for any warm plates that were placed on the table. We contacted the company and they assured us they would send someone out and see what could be done. After it was looked at they told us we would be getting a replacement tabletop. SIX weeks went by with no information from them, after WE called them we were told the table was discontinued and we would have to get a credit and pick a different table in the store. We told them we didn’t want this option, we would prefer to get our money back and take our business elsewhere, we were told this was not possible, we even contacted home office and told the same thing. If we wanted to return the items we would have to pay a 15% restocking fee, for a product that was defective and cheap. We finally had to go to the store, and speak with a manager face to face and after a heated discussion was able to get the table, and chairs returned. It took almost 5 months to get this issue resolved. Management was appalling, and slow to help. Everything was “impossible” until we drove 70 miles to speak to the store manager directly who always happened to be out of the office when we called.

This has been the best furniture buying experience I have ever had! Ryan is amazing. He is so nice and actually listens to what you are looking for. Ryan did not hover over us but was still close by to answer all of questions. Plus he got us amazing deals on our new furniture. If you are looking for nice and affordable furniture with great customer service, definitely see Ryan at art van. We also got to speak with the owner who is so sweet and nice. Its a great place.

I actually posted and it never went through. I bought furniture from Art Van and no more than 2 weeks my entire apartment was infested with bed bugs. I bough a couch and a chair with an ottoman. The price of it -$1200. Having to exterminate the whole couch and apartment $2500. The exterminator even wrote a letter that stated the eggs of the bed bugs were found beneath the ottoman inside the structure of the furniture and thus came with the bed bugs. Contacted Art Van and got told that obviously they aren’t liable after the first week and that I couldn’t prove anything. Absolutely horrible, horrible store. I was out a place to live for a month while all the extermination was being done. DON’T EVER GO THERE, no wonder they’re going bankrupt 🤷🏼‍♀️

My son and DIL bought a nice electric love seat and sofa from Jerry at Art Van in Dec 2019 the control on the love seat went out after 10 days with the footrest out. They called Art Van dozens of times leaving messages no one called back or being told Jerry wasn’t there he asked to speak with the owner and was told he wasn’t there, trying to get them to come fix it. This went on for months My son is in a wheelchair and it was very hard to get around his living room with the footrest out. Finally he left a message for Jerry saying if they didn’t send someone to fix it and get the footrest down he was going to bring it back to the store himself. He was finally told they would just order a new loveseat said it would be in in 6 weeks it never came they said it was on back order now because of Covid. After over a year later with him calling to check on the order very often Art Van finally came and put a new control in it an got the footrest down. They told him they did order a new one and was waiting on it to come in. After having to use the old loveseat for over a year with the footrest up it is warped. Today March 26, 2021 they finally brought the new loveseat I had to accept it as my son and DIL were out of town and this was the only day Art Van could deliver it. They brought the new loveseat in and I noticed it was 2 shades darker than the old one and shiny not matching at all . I called Van Art and spoke to Jerry and was told there was nothing he could do. I asked him to make it right he said and there’s nothing he could do if he order another one it would be the same as the numbers were the same had to be a different dye lot or something. I suggest that he replace both then, Jerry refused. I told him it was the right thing to do as my son had paid good money for this set he even bought the extended warranty. Jerry refused and when I insisted it was the right thing to do as these do not match he hung up on me. I called him back and told him that was very rude as I hadn’t cussed him or anything I just wanted him to make this right. He said again there was nothing he could do when I asked to speak to the owner he said he wasn’t there I asked for his phone number Jerry refused to give his name or number.I found out his name is Mike McCord and at least got a email address from someone else. Hopefully when my son gets home he will have better luck talking to the owner and making this right. We shall see.I will update later if he is successful Art Van has nice furniture no complaints there, Jerry not so much.

If no stars or negative stars was an option I would absolutely have selected that!!! We ordered a dining room table December 19th. We were told it would be 6 weeks for it to come in. Today is March 12th and it still is not here. My wife and I have called probably 5-6 different times in the last 6 weeks and every single time we get the same answer “It has shipped, it will be here next week”... Today I spoke with Jarry who is supposedly the store manager. He again told me “it’s shipped, it’s coming from California...” when I pressed him on why we get the same answer every single time we call and how in the world has it been “shipped” for 6 weeks now Jarry proceeded to tell me “you just don’t know the business, you guys don’t know how this works..” I may not be in the furniture business, but I am smart enough to know that this table has not been on the road from California to Indiana for 6 weeks now!!! What was supposed to be here in 6 weeks is still not here 3 months later. If you want your furniture to arrive about 3x longer than expected and want to be talked to in a condescending manner by the person who is supposed to be “managing” the affairs of the store, well then this is definitely the furniture store for you. If you would like to be told the truth and talked to with respect, well then you may want to look elsewhere.

Great store. Helpful, not pushy. Gave us space to explore, and were close and attentive when we needed to ask questions. We connected with a new salesman, and he was exceptional to go out and find the answers to the questions we had. We ended up finding what we came in for, but they offered some no-pressure suggestions and we liked what we saw. We came out with a bit more than we required, but were much happier with the product we got. The price was already excellent, and since the store had a sale going on, we received a 20% discount :) It wasnt in stock, so it is being shipped to the store. Overall very pleasant shopping experience. Good quality, good prices, and great service. Ill definitely be back!

We purchased furniture earlier this year, and it was scheduled for delivery in late March. Then, COVID-19 happened. Thankfully this store was not part of the company-wide bankruptcy, and the owner kept customers updated and at ease during the shutdown. After things opened back up I called and found out the pieces I ordered were no longer carried, and I could either submit for a refund via the bankruptcy litigation or the store would honor the dollar amount in store credit. I went in last night and for another piece that work for us and the owner did a clean swap (it was the same price we had already paid). He was very helpful and empathetic to the situation. This was our second time buying from Art Van Evansville, and we will continue to give them our business. They have a wonderful selection, pressure-free environment, and I couldn’t say enough about how great the service has been each time. The owner is frequently on the floor and is always friendly and helpful!! Thank you all so much!

Kent was our sales person, took excellent care of us showing all options and taking the time to answer our many questions. Our mattress did not come in as scheduled & the store manager compensated our inconvenience. Tony & Corey delivered and set up our mattress, they were very friendly and real troopers taking a king size mattress up our flight of stairs. They cleaned up all the wrapping, set it up as I desired, and answered all my questions. This is our second purchase from Art Van and will continue to be the first place we look for furniture and decor. Tha is to everyone at Art Van for simplifying this process!!!

They sold us a extended warranty that is fake and refuse to make it right. Will not return any phone calls. You are wasting your time and money to buy from them. They come off as really nice and friendly as long as you dont have a problem.

This would actually be a 5 star review if not for delayed delivery. My wife and I shop at the Evansville, IN store and have had great experiences with the sales staff. Kim has been great to work with and ensured us our furniture would arrive for us to pick up on or before 11/8/19 and said I should call a week or so before just in case it arrives sooner. Well I did call and learned the earliest shipment would arrive on 11/22/19! 2 weeks later?? No offense to the staff in Evansville but why would anyone want to buy from a store to wait over a month for delivery when I can buy the same furniture online for the same price or less and have it delivered to my home for free?? We are very disappointed especially with holidays approaching. We were wanting our home to be ready for family and friends but it doesnt look promising.Update:. I contacted the online customer service via chat and was told our furniture was in stock at the Evansville store. So I called the Evansville store to schedule my pick up appointment, but was told I was misinformed and that my order would not arrive until 11/22/19. We ended up cancelling our Art Van order for a refund. Went furniture shopping this past weekend and found what we were looking for and it was in stock. Sorry Art Van.

We purchased a buffet and picked it up yesterday. It is a large, very solid piece of furniture and looks good in the spot we placed it. They sales staff was helpful in showing us a variety of buffets, but when I saw this one I knew it was the perfect size for the space. The wood is a bit darker than I was looking for, but it blends in fine. We had to put it on layaway while we completed some remodeling and they were very accommodating in letting us take 5 months to pay it off and pick it up.

This is my first time and will be my last time at this store. We have bought bedroom furniture set. Its been a month we have been waiting for our furniture delivery and I just got a phone call saying it has been delayed further. It was for my husband I went to this store and I am not liking this. We spent about $2500 and this is the treatment we are getting. Very disappointing experience.Update on 11/21I got my furniture delivered. Delivery guys were very nice and the did all the set up. Quality of the furniture is good. If you do not mind waiting couple of months delivery time for your furniture, they carry quality stuff.1/4/20We bought dual recliner set and we are very happy with the product. Mattress prices were better than at other nearby furniture stores, and they do carry made-to-order Amish kitchen tables. The table and chairs took about 6 weeks longer than originally promised, but the outcome is beautiful. The woods we chose match our kitchen so well and it holds up with no cup ring stains as promised. Overall we love everything we got!

I was wanting a new love seat for my den. After looking at a few places, a friend recommended Art Van. I was immediately impressed with the variety and value that was available. In store service was great. Salesman was helpful and knew his stuff. I was told my table was on back order and would take an extra 2 weeks. Which was fine with me. When the extra 2 weeks were up, I still had no table. Not 1 person called or emailed me that there was another delay!!!!! I had to call and inquire about my table the following week. Then the person I spoke to acted like I was a burden for asking where my table was! My table finally showed up 2 weeks later. The delivery men were great and professional!Its really a shame I had to write this review! If someone would have just communicated to me what was going on, this could have been a 5 star review.

John Bartlett aka Little John helped me. The quality is superb and the price is affordable. The salesman was charming, quick and efficient. When the furniture arrived, we liked it even better in our home! We are definitely going back for a third room!! I highly recommend this place and him.

My furniture has been broke since March and it took them until the end of August to come and look at it. Then they said 10 days max and we will be back to fix it. Here it is the middle of November and still getting the run around. Getting tired of getting lied to. Every time I call they said the owner will call in a week, and never does. I have one place to sit out of five places and they keep saying that’s horrible but never fix it. No point in buying the extended warranty cause they won’t fix it. I talked to another person that has bought stuff from them and got the same run around and finally in a bout a year they gave them a new chair for equal value. But I just get the run around and lied to for 8 months.

I felt like.... being looked at as .... hard to say but Sales Person was all about making $ not about, what my needs are. I would have dropped easy 5 G if I would have been heard on what I am looking for.. this is so sad, but oh well..... Furniture is nice but I think if they wouldnt be so aggressive on trying to sell anything a customer doesnt want.. they might have more luck.

A few years back I bought some furniture I’ve really liked so I turned the chair upside down to see the brand - Southern Motion. I looked up area stores with that brand, shopped them all, and Art Van was the winner on price. Salesman Bill was helpful, not at all pushy. Great experience all around. I got exactly what I wanted!

Robert helped us out and he was very informed about what we were looking at. We were looking for a bunk bed and we bought a loft bed. Thought it was going to work out really well but not if it is. Kids had so much fun looking. We will definitely come back to shop agian.

We were looking for recliners at four furniture stores. Art Van was the fourth and were met by John Parker. He was the most professional and knowledgeable of any we had talked with. He took the time to understand our needs and requirements. He is a true asset to the furniture business, is honest, and truthful. We purchased two recliners. If you are considering a furniture purchase talk to him and it will renew your faith in Salesmen.

Sales staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful in choosing our special order pieces. Time from order to delivery was happily a little shorter than expected. Delivery men were prompt, friendly, and courteous. Furniture is beautifully made and very sturdy. One customer service rep I spoke with seemed to need more training on store polices but overall a very positive experience. Would definitely shop here again.

We bought a living room suite with the extended warranty in less then a year the padding in the couch broke down and the material is flaking off. We called the warranty a guy came out and told me yes the padding needs replaced and the material needs replaced. We received a letter couple weeks later form the warranty company saying they can’t do anything this is normal. Went to the store talked to the manager he said yes we will do what we can to make this correct. Haven’t been able to get in touch with anyone since February. The couch isn’t even comfortable to sit on anymore. I highly recommend not buying from this store we had a Big Lots couch before this one it was a lot cheaper and lasted years longer

The guy that helped us, “lil’ John”, was very helpful! He never was pushy and knew exactly where to take us in the store after we told him what we were looking for. It was also nice that he had a good personality and wasn’t uptight. It was our first time in the store. We made a purchase and will be back.

The staff was great and very helpful. We were greeted at the door and a sales associate was close by when we had questions.Inventory selections were plentiful, beautiful, & stylish. Great quality & price. Very friendly staff altogether! We even shopped with our two young children and we were not looked at sideways when the kids wanted to sit on every sofa, chair, or bed!Very pleased with our shopping experience and the piece that we purchased.

The salespeople were great. They didnt try to push anything on us and they were very knowledgeable. They went above and beyond to make this shopping trip a positive one. We bought a living room suite several months ago and she loved it so much she went and bought one just like it along with a new area rug.

The salesman Ryan was awesome. And the owner taking time to come meet us was nice. Been alot of places and never has an owner taking the time to talk to us. The staff at Art Van made every step of ordering furniture simple and straightforward. Customer service was very responsive both in person and over the phone. I called the store twice to check on my order and both times had status updates within a minute and they laid out my options for pickup. Our sales associate, Drew, was very friendly and personable. He talked with us about daily life things/events rather than making it all about furniture. As first time furniture buyers, he helped make our process and final purchase simple and smooth. He even corrected a misquote of his by offering to discount us the difference between what he misquoted and what it actually costed. My first time and I went in not knowing what to expect and with no real intentions of purchasing anything, but I walked out arms full and with a wonderful experience.
