Amazing music store in Evansville. The staff were knowledgeable and helpful, and all instruments were available to be played. The prices were as expected but there was a nice variety in quality and models. Store was clean and had a great vibe.

I took my guitar in for a restring. When I picked it up I was in a hurry. I didn’t look at it until the next day. They had cleaned it up and restrung it and did an awesome job. Ed is the one that worked on it. I’ve always had very good service there

I make it a point to visit guitar stores in other cities. Moore Music compare very well with any other store selling major American brands. I have traded in guitars several times and bought about half a dozen guitars from them over the years. I’ve received great deals whether I bought for cash or traded in part. If you are working with Ed, have him play the guitar and sit in front as a listener. Doing that is an important dimension to buying, I think, because I want to know what the sound is like for a listener. Also, it gives you an excuse to hear Ed riff. The only reason I would ever have to go elsewhere is if I sought a boutique instrument they did not carry, or wanted to sniff the vintage stuff you find In Nashville. These folks are selling what they love, and it shows. Finally, although I have not had reason to do it, if Ed got something in that he knew I wanted in a trade and called me, I would trust his evaluation and just buy the guitar.

I take my daughter to the music academy inside of Moore Music, thus far this is awesome place, the teacher is very patient and my kiddo is truly happy learning to play the guitar here.

I purchased a Gibson Les Paul Standard from Moore Musics website and I couldnt be happier with the phenomenal price and service. The guitar looks and sounds incredible. I went in for the first time today. The store is beautiful, I was greeted immediately, the 2 staff I interacted with were genuinely friendly, and they are keeping it Covid safe by offering masks, hand sanitizer, and not letting people touch everything while still letting me play the bass I aksed to try out. Went in here for a variety of reasons, never in my life have i seen more outrageous prices and terrible quality customer service. I attempted to sell a few things and they essentially laughed at what I brought them, refused to give me an offer, and wasted my time. They have the same items that I bought for 2-3x what I paid for them. If your going to shop for musical instruments for you or someone else, do not give Moore Music your business. I never thought that Id be saying this but go to guitar center, prices are better, and Id rather deal with teenagers than with owners who think they are better than you.

I visited this store about 2 years ago and was blown away. I had visited once before when they were in their old location and wanted to see the new place. It did not disappoint. i love in eastern Kentucky and drove 5 hours just to see it. The selection, service and staff are top notch. Rob gave me a free Moore shirt for coming all that way just to visit them. Real class act guys there and I will be visiting again very soon and bringing friends along so they can get the Moore experience.

I bought a new guitar through Moore Music and it was set up properly and had new strings on it. It played really well from the beginning and was even in tune straight out of the box! I got a great deal on a PRS McCarty 594 from Moore Music. The whole experience was great. During inspection they decided that one of the volume knobs wasnt quite perfect so they replaced before shipping the guitar to me. It was very well packed and crossed most of the country inc old temperatures before getting to me, but still played well right out of the box.

I am deeply conflicted about my experience here.I’ll start with the great:When I first arrived I was in awe of the amazing selection of guitars (seriously there are a lot of high quality guitars. I was like a kid in a candy shop) and other instruments. The store layout was great and about a thousand times better a regular big box music store. Couches and stools for testing instruments was plentiful. A wide variety of amps were also available. The whole place was laid back and had a great vibe. If you’re looking to buy an instrument, I highly recommend this place. The employees were also incredibly helpful and kind. I came into the store, however, with a new guitar looking to get it set up. I was told it would be around 3 business days and would cost $45 for what I wanted done to it. Shorter than what I would have expected around the holiday season. Awesome. I told the employee I was having intonation issues and wanted a general check up of the guitar since I had it just shipped to me. I shook the hand of the guy who took my guitar and I was happy as a clam.The not so great:I collected my guitar after the three business days. He didn’t charge me $45, but $28! I didn’t really get a reason why, but thought that it was kind of the tech to charge me only for what he thought I needed. I didn’t inspect my guitar before I left (I know that was dumb) and drove back to where I was staying over the holiday season. When I got back, I found out that two of my strings had a horrible fret buzz. It was buzzing every time I played a note and even when it was completely open. I may not be a guitar tech, but I’ve had plenty of guitars and experience to know what isn’t normal for a guitar. I asked my wife to call and see if we could bring it in for fine tuning. She explained that we weren’t satisfied with the buzz and we were told we could bring it in. She said that the guitar tech that worked on my guitar was a little condescending, but whatever, maybe he was just in a bad mood. We drove another 30 minutes to the shop for the adjustment. The guitar tech was waiting for us and was incredibly snarky. I want to say his name was Clyde, but I can’t remember. He played it for a little bit, checked the neck relief, and made a truss rod adjustment. He then handed it back to me and I tested it within the store. I played the G string (the one with the most intolerable amount of buzz) and found that it still buzzed every single time I played a note with it. The tech stood over me and fed me lines about “There has to be a certain amount of fret buzz on guitars. This is natural”. It was absolutely not natural. He then reminded us that it’s his job to sell guitars and that he knows what he’s talking about. The technician was incredibly defensive about his work over the phone and in person. He suggested that maybe it’s my fault and that maybe I’m heavy handed. How I could be heavy handed playing an open string, I don’t know. I was frustrated at this point, so I thanked him for his time and left.I left town a few hours after this exchange, with a still fret buzzing guitar, back to my current residence. I immediately took it to my regular luthier and had him fix it. He solved my fret buzzing issue and did a component checkup within 20 minutes and assured me that I wasn’t going crazy.The whole setup experience left a sour taste in my mouth. Maybe it was a one-off experience, maybe the tech was having a bad day, but I don’t think I’ll go back again.In summary: Good place, bad experience. For the great vibe, selection of guitar, and customer assistance of the front desk employees, I recommend it.

Before that a PRS SE, and also a hand wired VOX AC15.In all my dealings with Moore M I found them to be very knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. I bought my Fender JMJ Mustang Bass from Shane and he was fantastic. I had originally thought I needed an ABG from Breedlove, but at the last minute changed my mind. The staff was understanding and worked out the details so everything went smooth. I now have made arrangements to purchase the ABG and once again the staff was fantastic. This time I have been talking to Rob and every question and concern has been addressed and taken care of.
