I had the cinnamon roll french toast and bacon. It was delicious. We had very good service even with eating on the patio. Will definitely go back.
Use to love this place. However, it’s starting to take too long even for to-go orders. There are NOT any warmers so your food sits there getting cold. Took an extra 13 mins for my coffee to be made while I stood there with my food. Instead of finishing my coffee so I could get on my way the lady started taking more walk-in orders and checking people out. Online menu prices aren’t correct. Food was cold by time I got home and it cost me over $17 for French toast and a coffee. Last time they forgot my fried potatoes with my omelette. Service isn’t as good as it use to be.
Great place to eat. The food is really good, the servers nice. I havent tried lunch but their breakfast is excellent. Very small place so if come you may have to be put on a list. Right now you get put on paper, needs to be updated with a phone text service. That is the only reason Im not giving it five stars.
For gosh sakes take all the sticky tags off the coffee cup. Its like you got some flea market coffee mug and were too lazy to tear off all of the paper stickers that were all over it. It felt dirty and looked horrible. You do realize that mugs are at the dollar store for $1 right? Smh
Cute little place on Franklin. Especially if you can sit outside. Great food too! Try the brown sugar and cinnamon iced latte.
Cozy atmosphere and a small but nice breakfast and lunch menu. Sausage gravy was a little bland for my taste (I needed to add hot sauce), but everything else was good. Others in my group were impressed, particularly with the fresh tasting bread, fluffy pancakes, and hot chocolate (I had none in my order). I was very thirsty after eating, which usually seems to indicate higher sodium or MSG, probably in the gravy or fried potatoes.
This place rocks! The service was very attentive and on point! Omelet with avacado, the eggs Benedict everything we ordered at the table was fresh, hot and delicious 😋 the Cafe mocha superb! Cant recommend this Cafe enough!Also great music! Thanks for a great time!I will definitely be back!
Visiting from Chicago for the Blues Festival.Good food (breakfast), great friendly service in a small, cliché themed setting. Our server was especially attentive. Staff and regular patrons were very welcoming.
Charming and fun place to eat breakfast. Had fun listening to the owner/waitress I think giving area history lessons to visitors. Had the farmers breakfast and the bacon avacado omelette. Their German Potatoes are the best. They are fried potatoes with little bits of skins and onions an even though they are tender they have little crunchy bits that are full of flavor.The staff was super friendly and quick to seat, server, clean, repeat. Everyone looked like they knew what their job was.The place is decorated with old Americana and famous quotes, the tables are wooden and rustic. Very nice. Will stop in next time Im in Evansville.

Oh wow a must go! Terrific! The atmosphere was beautiful❣ The decor was done perfect.I ordered breakfast that came with fried potatoes that were the best Ive had in a restaurant. Everything is homemade. The cinnamon roll didnt last to get a pic lol. My honey ordered the Eggs Benedict that was beyond great. Service was outstanding. They are only open til 2pm. 😕 So what are you waiting for, get in there and try this place...Its so worth the go.

The Kite & Key is a true brunch spot located on Franklin street in Evansville. They are only open for breakfast and lunch. The atmosphere is quaint and the service was great. We ordered the rise and shine breakfast and pancake breakfast. The food was tasty and came out in a timely manner. It is definitely worth a try.
Went in for breakfast one Saturday morning & it was great. The staff was great and very polite. However, I’ve ordered carry out breakfast a few times since then and every time something in my order is messed up or missing. I spoke with the owner on two separate occasions about messed up orders, we agreed that they would replace my whole order on my next trip in there since everything was messed up or missing both times. When I ordered again and went to pick up, the lady working the counter argued that it was only $5 off. I’ve had a few encounters with very unprofessional people working in the back (carryout part). We won’t be back!
Nice local diner that has a comfy atmosphere. Service was a about what you would expect for a small diner, a little slow but friendly. The food was really good, especially the potatoes. Their pancakes were light and fluffy, very good choice. The sausage patties taste like McDonalds sausage, Ill leave that up to you if thats good or bad. Beware, tables are limited so you may have to wait a little bit. Fortunately, we were able to walk-in and get a table in just a few minutes.
Went for breakfast, very good and I paid exactly what I thought I would. Not overpriced, but no dollar menu. Coffee selection and taste was amazing!!! I would easily bypass Starbucks to order my coffee here.

We love Kite and Key! We eat here every weekend. It’s a wonderful locally owned business with a wonderful staff. You can never go wrong with anything you choose here, it’s all delicious.
Tried breakfast here for the first time. Everything was so good but the potatoes stole the show. Will most definitely be coming back. I did however take my food to go, but the atmosphere in even just the coffee shop side was really cool and the staff were all so nice. I can’t wait to check out the full dinning experience next time.

Service was slow never asked us if we wanted refills on our drinks forgot my toast and pancakes one waffle costs almost as much as if you bought the double german potatoes were horribly over cooked gravy tasted like package gravy biscuits were hard and dry omelet did not seem like a three egg omelet vegetables in my omelet were pretty much definitely will not go back there

My wife and I visited the morning of 03/11. Service and food was good. The only issue before we left are these two people standing near the kitchen and dining room entrance talking loudly that it became obnoxious and quite rude.
Ordered breakfast carryout. Was very delicious!! Fast friendly service!! First time we had food from there. I ordered the crepes and sausage, Husband got the western omelet. Coffee smells great when you walk in, so I had to try it and loved it. Will be back to enjoy another meal for sure. Next time on the patio. 😍😎💜

I was out on the west side of Evansville and stumbled across this jewel! I have to say its very small inside maybe like 10 tables, but the food is amazing! It has some of the best bacon I have ever had! The service is good too. The price is very fair for what you get. If you get a chance stop in here, but get here early again do to the lack of seating and they get busy! I will definitely be back!

Nice little hole in the wall! Food is good, staff friendly. Prices are descent as well. My only bugaboo was their take on poached eggs. So just a little tip on those poached eggs. The perfect poached egg has a runny yolk, with a hardening crust and no raw white remaining. This place says they prepare poached eggs two ways because customers complain about the runny of the yolk. I think knowledge is better than a lie. Considering all the wordy sayings from dead people all over the walls. Its best to stick to truth and the truth is POACHED EGGS ARE RUNNY there is no other type of poached egg. Tell your customers the truth instead of giving them false information spreading ignorance. The menu was unique and had plenty of options. My husband and I couldnt decide, so a member of their staff recommended us a few of her favorites! Glad I took her suggestions, because they were delicious! They were a little stronger than I would prefer, but flavorsome nonetheless.

Always a great place for Brunch. Got there at around noon on a Thursday and the place was really packed, but we were able to get a table after waiting only 5 minutes. I had the traditional eggs benedict which was delicious. Atmosphere is great. Would highly recommend stopping by when you can.

I found the Kite & Key Café through a web search, I liked that they opened early and had vegan options (Im not vegan but I like trying new things). The menu was easy to read and very descriptive, it was easy to find the two items that I wanted to eat. The food was fresh and hot and my server Maryjo was both friendly and efficient

Yesterday was my first visit to Kite and Key, but it certainly wont be my last. I had a bacon and egg croissant with a bowl of fresh fruit. I asked for crispy bacon and it was perfect, as was the sandwich and fruit. Prices are very reasonable and the service was excellent. Already looking forward to my next visit.

Great place! Friendly servers. Delicious food. I absolutely LOVE their chicken salad sandwich. And their cinnamon rolls are outrageously good. The restaurant is really decorated cute. The only bad thing is that the place is too small. They need to expand into a larger facility and add a dinner menu. If their breakfast and lunch menus are this incredible, I can only imagine how wonderful their dinners would be!
Im from out of state but this is young grandsons favorite breakfast spot. The staff is so friendly and give great service. He loves the yogurt parfait which also comes with a small bowl of fruit and Nana had bacon, egg and cheese croissant which was twice the size of fast food restaurant and much better. I shouldnt have eaten it all as a lot but too good not to finish. Also came with small bowl of fruit. The cost of the meal with two drinks was a bit over $16.00, cant beat that! Definitely worth going.
The service here is very courteous and the food is very well made and very good. Its comfort food that you can come back to over and over again. It is limited seating but the size of the seating area makes for a very homey atmosphere. Me and my family have become regulars there and love it.

I went here for breakfast, and had the Country Ben, which I can honestly say was the single most delicious breakfast I have ever had in my life. Im not usually one to say omg, you need to try this to a dining companion, but it seemed like some sort of crime not to share-- it was ridiculously tasty. The atmosphere is pleasant and everything seemed clean, our server was nice, we were seated quickly. I will be happy to eat here again!

Perfect breakfast! The atmosphere was quaint, the service fast and friendly. Solid eggs and sausage, eggs Benedict were delicious and lemony, English muffins properly toasted and buttered, and the German potatoes were amazing!! We overhead another table ordering cinnamon rolls and had to try them for dessert. That was a great wrap up for such a good breakfast.
Fabulous breakfast - recommend the cinnamon French toast. Coffee is high quality - TJ Roasters. Waitress was wonderful - super attentive and nice. We moved to TN but whenever were back in town, we try to eat here - worth the trip!
