Such a great store. I have been a frequent customer of theirs since they moved to Evansville. This past week, I went in to buy some safes on sale. The sweetest lady helped me when they didn’t have the right price listed and she was able to sort through the confusion and help me purchase the safes.The gun counter is always super nice and friendly. I love shopping here.

Back to school shoe shopping--my 1st visit here-- out was a hot mess express!! Guys working seemed a bit on edge (I can imagine why) But also didnt seem a bit interested to help me find shoe. Even after using his device to look it up... He wasnt in the know.Lol I ended up finding a few more myself right in the middle walk way there!! And finding his size, digging thru boxes, nah Im good. Was a good sale though. Briefly browsed womens apparel on way out & a bit pricey, even the clearance racks. May try returning when I notice a real good sale again.

Pretty wide variety of sporting wear, and jeans retro Wrangler and Levis. If you look you can find some good deals.

I’m not sure if Academy knows they have a restroom or not, but someone needs to clean that bad boy.

Nice sale....but it would be nice if the closing cashier had a mature manager to show them courtesy!

I recently bought a bike through Academy. It was a Mongoose Tervane 27.5” mountain bike. It has been great so far, but there are some issues that I encountered with Academy itself. On their website, they say it takes at most 48 hours to assemble the bike. That led to the assumption that we would get an email when it was ready. A couple of hours after purchase, we got an email saying it was ready for pickup. However, when we got there, it was not assembled. We live an hour away, so this is not a light trip for us. So we planned on going the next Friday morning, and they almost did not have it ready. This is 72 hours after we ordered it, making them late. We did get it in time, and it is a really good bike, but their emailing and building service needs improved upon.

Has the most selection in everything of the sporting goods stores in Evansville. My son has bought many many airsoft guns here and also all of his football gear and equipment. They’ve definitely got everything in every dept for everyone at a descent price.

This store was absolutely fabulous! They gave us a discount that we couldn’t get anywhere else on a bulk purchase of bicycles for the Martin County Christmas Toy Store. Got some nice comfortable work shoes.

They always have a good selection of fishing equipment. I just wish they would keep their artificial baits stocked a little better.

Shoes were jumbled every which way… took forever to find our sizes. I had to track down a salesperson like hunting big game only to receive a snarky answer to my simple question. I’ll keep my shopping online line for this place!

We ordered on line a birthday gift for my granddaughter..I came to pick it up, gave them the order number ..the associate asked me to describe what i had ordered so i explained that I can not do that do to the fact that this item is a gift for someone in my car. So next thing ...here comes an associate out of the store carrying a pink shoebox ! No bag, nothing concealed ! My granddaughter now knows she is getting a pair of shoes for her birthday.

The store itself was nice and spaced out. A lot of things in stock. I usually order from them online but went in for an outfit that showed in stock but was not. The customers mostly not wearing masks, due to the type of store and its location, encountered a lot of Karens. Will stay ordering online.

They have a nice variety of outdoor and sporting items. Their ammo is reasonably priced and they frequently have good sale items. But the national ammo shortage has caused the cupboards to be bare here.

Went in to by a canopy and happened to be there when they got their ammo shipment so I bought some while there. Store is clean and very organized

Great customer service and quality of stock.

Went to the Evansville, IN store to buy ammunition. The website showed 22LR in stock. Young adult at firearms counter said they have been out of ammo for weeks and the website was wrong. I didnt say what caliber ammo I was looking for. A person approached the counter after me and asked for ammo. Salesperson gave same sad speech. Customer stated that they called the store and was told they had ammo. The salesperson then says, oh, its up front at the Customer Service Desk. This salesperson was terrible.

I happened to be in the store on bullet shipment day. Still expensive to purchase, but price is driven buy demand.

Thru any equipment, gear, clothing or accessories; this store pretty much has it all and basically for all affordable pricing, especially if going with store brand! They have such an awesome section for weight lifting, yoga, strength training, etc...a good fit for pretty much anyone in athletics!

The sales are great when they have them. Last time I went to buy a jacket I recieved a 50% discount due to it being clearance priced. Otherwise the store was kind of empty and the staff wasnt very friendly. It may have just been a bad day for them though.

Friendly greeting as I walked in. Just went in to look for a sm outdoor patio propane tabletop heater. Couldnt find one but did find a out door perculater for camp fires. Service at checkout was fast and friendly.

Prices are ridiculously high for most brands. Selection is decent. Service is very hit and miss.

Looking for something for my boat however like everywhere else these days very low stock. Dont let this disappoint you this is a great place for hunting and fishing equipment. The covid issue is hurting all even on line in some cases. Great staff will always help you in any way.

Just an average store. Nothing special and it looked very picked over. The staff we interacted with had no idea what was there and told both the customer they helped before us and us that he didnt know if they carried an item and that they get trucks 3 times a week so it might come in. So what are we supposed to do? Write a letter to Santa and see if he delivers to Academy sports? We were less than thrilled with our experience. The store was super clean though.

Oh it was a amazing time. I got things so i could play with myself.Ping pong paddle with ping pong balls.Some weights for lifting.When I got home I got straight to business. Now I have something that keeps my hands busy when I get bored.Thanks.

Today I was at Academy Sports to purchase swimming trunks for my grandson (sporting a face mask). I noticed none of the staff had masks on. I kindly asked the cashier why and she said, I dont know. So, I asked to speak to the manager. Again, I kindly asked why. This was his response: We are a country divided on the subject. Our company doesnt require it. If you dont like it dont shop here. Of course I left leaving my items behind and I will NEVER shop there again!If I could leave ZERO stars I would.

I would like to see more size 14 in mens name brand shoes.

Just like most Academy Sports the store was clean and well stocked but when it came to checking out only one register was open with 15 plus people waiting.

I spent nearly a 800.00 on 2 bikes, skate board, football equipment and various accessories... The skateboard top peeled off 1st time my step son road it... Both bikes after only a few rides falling apart. Poor, poor quality...I will say the young lady who processed refund was friendly and helpfull.... But short staffed all 3 times I was there

I got their around 7 am until they opened at 9 am for gun shells and got what I wanted YEA!!!! Also done a little shopping.
