The staff was friendly and prices seemed fair. However the diagnostic on my car took longer than quoted. Due to my work schedule I had to arrange pickup after hours. Was told my car would either be out front or around back in fenced lot. When I went to pick up my car after work that night my car was nowhere to be found. Police officer working security was no help at all. Finally found my car parked approximately 1/2 a block away on the street

My daughter and son in law went there Tuesday night for help before traveling over 2 hrs home to see if their car was safe to drive. They refused to help them for whatever reason and they were in a horrific accident on their way home that landed them in the hospital. This could have been prevented if they would have just looked at the car to see if it was safe or not. The wheel bearing locked up on them and caused them to flip the car and roll. My grandbabies were also in that car. Update: they did call ahead prior to stopping there to see if they could look at their car and they told them to stop by.

The Answer East has a very knowledgeable staff. They take the time to fix it right the first time. They are very busy, so be prepared to leave your vehicle for a couple days. The staff is so nice and understanding. Ive been taking my vehicles to them for years. Wouldnt go anywhere else!

The good thing I have to say about them is that as many cars that they had we got the car there on Thursday afternoon and they had it fixed on Monday morning. The bad I have to say about them is that the battery in the vehicle was only 8 months old and it tested excellent before I took it to them but they said the terminal was worn down too much and they couldnt reuse the battery so they replaced it with a new one even though I tried to talk them into buying a new cable and they gave me an explanation why they couldnt. The big thing about it is that they charged $100 just to install the new battery. It wasnt difficult to get to, it was on top and only had one hold down to take off besides the terminals. I think thats ridiculous considering the amount of money that we spent replacing the starter also. By the way they were my second choice only because my main mechanic was very busy.

Had a pulley and belt going bad. I dropped my car off on a Sunday evening using the convenient key drop off and my car was ready Monday afternoon! Great warranty. Been with them for years. Made a mistake of having some work done elsewhere...never again!! Sticking with The Answer!

I chose to use the Answer East because my parents had a great experience with them just a couple of weeks prior to my jeep needing some work done on it and an oil change. They were extremely professional and friendly. They work quickly and stand behind their work. Both for my parents and myself they warranted for 2 yrs even if we had issues out of town. I assume this is their general practice. I highly recommend using them and will definitely continue to use them for all our vehicles.

I have used The Answer for my auto service in the past and was very satisfied. This time was no different as it involved the challenging replacement of a 2001 Audi A4 transmission. New transmissions for Audi’s of this model and year are no longer available, therefore the only option was for The Answer to retain one from a salvage supplier.Even these Audi salvage transmissions are only available in limited quantities. After receiving two highly touted transmissions from salvage parts suppliers, Ron advised me to get a third transmission after he closely inspected them and determined they were not in sufficient condition in his opinion.After waiting to receive a third transmission Ron determined it to be acceptable from his detailed inspection. After The Answer installed it, the Audi replacement transmission has run very well since we picked it up over two weeks ago. The great thing is The Answer still only charged me their original very low price quote even though they had to take greater time and labor to find a quality transmission that was acceptable for installation.Ron did an excellent job and was very skilled and kind in explaining the challenges this repair entailed to make sure my transmission was replaced right. Few places are willing to go to this extreme to ensure their customers receive dependable quality parts when tough replacement situations like this arise.I would highly recommend The Answer for your next automotive service or repair.Greg Droste

The Answer is by far the best repair shop in town. I was quoted $1300 for a fix at a car dealership & was flabbergasted as it was a crack in a mirror… needless to say I took it to the Answer who fixed it for $56.12. Overall, the staff is very nice and professional. I had one thing fixed but when asked for a safety check to be performed, it came back with a $750 bill. My only concern is I got a second opinion on my car and for example, that mechanic said only my front U joints needed to be replaced while The Answer East claimed all needed to be replaced. This is a $250 difference, so I’m fearful that parts are being replaced when it isn’t necessary.

They dont do inspections like they say all they did was walk out and listen to my car they didnt check anything on it I told them it was making a noise and all they did was look at the engine they are not good mechanics like they say I will not be taking anything back to them. I had my starter replaced on my 2013 Honda Accord. The repair was done in a timely fashion and the pricing was accordingly to my expectations.

Ill be returning to The Answer East for any car needs in the future! I drive a Volkswagen Beetle and have had issues with every other place Ive taken it to - either they dont know how to work on VWs or its quite expensive. I had to have my breaks fixed (I had worn them metal to metal😬😅) and a few bulbs changed and the price was very reasonable, and the service was quick and easy! They had to order a part (lol, VW life!) and they had it in and my car fixed and ready for pick up in under 48 hours. When I came to pick it up they were quite busy, and even still 3 separate people popped their head in to ask if I had been helped!☺️
