I have gone there three times now to get their opinion on something before I took my car to a specialized transmission shop they suggested and they did not charge me any of those times. Heres a great mechanic, Mike, who actually knows what your vehicle needs WITHOUT HAVING TO USE [and charge you for] a diagnostics computer or car chip reader. He does what is necessary, is very fair in pricing. There is no fancy waiting room, just customers who all tell you how much they like Mike (even though he just had to tolerate their self-anger at their own lack of proper vehicle maintenance), coffee and baked goods. No frills - but I miss this type of business. Its like going to your friends garage.

The Most Honest Mechanic Ever!!!!!!!My dad put me on the Mike when i first started driving, and no one is more honest and car savvy. He kept my 99 corolla running for so many years, I ended up selling it in great condition to the next person.

It’s bad not recommended, he didn’t know how to fix my car and wasted my time waiting for nothing. And I’m not sure if he use the computer to check engine light. It’s really bad place.

A family member told us about Howard and California Auto Repair. We took our Sienna there and, long story short, Michael, the owner, told us that on Toyotas, it is best to use original parts. He gave us an awesome price, and, at the end of the day, was able to fix a problem that had been plaguing us since last November. This shop is honest and fair. Try them and you will see.
