I visited this store on 31st of October to get a couple of shirts on my favorite teams. The young woman in the front folding Atlanta Braves shirts was very helpful in finding the perfect fit for me. So I bought a beautiful shirt to back my wonderful Braves on their way to win the World Series. Also picked up a shirt to back the Dawgs. Had a great experience in the store. This has always been my go to store for for everything sports related and fishing.

I visited academy on August 28, 2021 to do some shopping. As a disabled veteran, I pulled into the handicap parking right in front of the store to do my shopping. When I pulled into the spot I heard a noise, so I backed up to pull away from whatever was under my truck. As I back up I hear the noise again, and louder, so I get out to investigate. The rebar that is supposed to hold the parking curb in place had backed out, sticking up about eight inches. Because it was sticking up, it caught my bumper and ripped off the plastic on the bottom of it. I go into the store to inform a manager of the issue. He came out with me and took pictures and said academy would make it right. Instead they told me it wasnt their problem, and that I had to take it up with the owner of the property. To me, they should keep their word and make it right. If it truly is their landlords responsibility, they should deal with it and not make me find and deal with them. I was there to shop at academy, not visit their landlord. Im disappointed that academy would not take care of this very minor issue instead of having me have this poor opinion of them.

I went in to buy 14 water jugs for my soccer team. They only had 9. I ordered the other 5 and I received them 2 days later. Great service and clean store.

Ive looked everywhere for these shoes and I found them here today and I love them They walk so perfect. Got my kids a tent to sit up under when we go to the football game it was on sale very good prices

Its a good store for the most part but they have went down on their selection of good shoes that are all black or all brown. I used to get all of my shoes for work here but now it looks like I will be going elswhere.

I went to the store to buy some AR-15 parts, and had everything I wanted plus more. The stores always clean, the staff is always friendly, unfortunately theyre always out of ammunition too. However thats not their fault, so I understand. However there was one employee in the gun department, I did way too much talking, and less helping the customers. He tender to reminisce too much about his prior military days instead of working.

Not too bad. We did an online order for pickup and it was ready a day early. The only issue was the wait for actually picking up our order at the store. We were the only car there for an order pickup but it still took about 30 minutes. They got our order right and the staff was friendly, so overall not bad.

Found some excellent deals on hiking boots and shoes. Always a good place to get your hunting and fishing supplies. Would be nice to have more than one register open at 6 pm though. 10 minute wait to check out is a little disappointing.

Service was absolutely horrible, not one employee even pays attention to you unless you run them down asking for help. I personally spent 20 minutes in the store looking for one item, that I was told was in Apparel and asked 3 employees where this item was and they pointed each time or said a part of apparel like I was supposed to know where It was. Lastly I ended up not liking the item, I asked prior to purchasing the item whats the policy on returning the item. They said 30 days, I returned it the next day and the customer service representative said she would not return this item. even though I was told I could prior to purchasing the product. I would recommend going and ordering your items offline or at another store, maybe youll get a higher quality of service and at a highly cheaper price.

Academy is academy. Theyre most likely going to have anything you need related to sports, hunting or fishing. The customer service on the floor was great. I was asked if I needed help which was nice. It was the checkout that was poor. Several (6 or 7) employees around the registers but only 1 open. They were all just walking around. There was at least 6 customers in love waiting to checkout. I could understood if its like everywhere else right now where no one is working but they had plenty of employees to open registers.

Nice Academy with good selection and prices. Staff is friendly and helpful. Aisles are a bit tight though. Best sports store in the area.

Great place for shopping. One of my favorites places to shop. I can spend hours there looking around. The state of GA facilities are tops. Went to one in Athens, GA as well. Keep up the good work Georgia Academy!

Great selection. A true sports store. Not just all clothes. One of the very few places you can get parts for coolers.

Mainly go here for fishing and/or hunting stuff. Normally they have a pretty good selection and keep items pretty stocked up. Staff is helpful and the store is clean

They had what I needed and at a reasonable price. Its nice to not always shop online.

Rebecca at the Firearms counter did a fantastic job! She was knowledgeable, personable, had a great attitude and very funny! Most of the salespeople there are great and I appreciate their help and advice. Im in there 3-4x a week and I receive the same level of service from her when shes there. She deserves a raise!

Beautiful well-stocked store with extensive sport shoe department with excellent selection. From pool noodles to training gear, they have it all!

The store has pretty much everything anyone could need for sports or outdoors BUT they didnt have the shoes in the size I needed & would NOT order them from another local Academy Sports store. They told me I would have to go get them myself or just order them online. Big help - NOT!!! I shouldve put the rest of my $450+ purchase back. Since they were so unwilling to help I may just return everything & go somewhere else that wants my business! Rack Room Shoes across the street was MORE than happy to order the shoes I needed! AND they were $25 less! Ive also found several more of the items I purchased ALOT less in other stores and online.

This store always has a great selection of items to choose from in a single area. What I mean is, you can get a softball bat that is 15$ or you can get one that is anywhere between 15$ and 315$ with at least 8 options. It is usually this way with anything I go to Academy to buy, including clothing. Speaking of, I love their BCG clothing line for its affordability and quality, but most of all I love how it fits my curvy body type (I am only slightly overweight, but naturally very curvy). It is so hard to find athletic clothing that fits well and is also affordable but they have it!

Prices are the best thing about this place. Customer service is non existent. I have never been limited to the amount of products I could ask whether or not they have in stock. I was told by whoever answered the phone at the gun counter that I get one product to ask about but if i was curious about anymore, Id have to come in store. Is this how the employees are trained or was the guy genuinely lazy?

I got the Stiga indoor/outdoor aluminum ping pong table for a Christmas gift! It was super easy to assemble and we love that it easily folds up and rolls to put away. Family loves it and the pick up from academy was quick and easy!

Love going to Academy, almost every time I go they have exactly what I need or more.

Lots of bare space on the shelves and the merchandise isnt very well organized. I know this is a difficult time with supply shortages and people not wanting jobs so my hat goes off to those that show up. Hopefully we will get back to normal sometime in the near future.

It was the best trip to Academy ever. There was a real life crack head who came in and was dancing for us at the registers. Too bad he left before the cops got there, it would have been an absolute party!

Went to purchase a firearm and got so much help from a gentlemen by the name of Brandon who knew a lot about all the firearms for sale and also gave me alot of helpful information on how to take the gun apart and clean it, and also which guns were the best.I would definitely go and get my next handgun from this place, and definitely ask for Brandon!

Good experience. Pickings were slim trying to find bookbags for my daughters, but thats to be expected sinse school just started. Fortunately I have another month before they go to school! Lol

I couldnt find what I needed because they didnt have much soccer cleats. That was so sad.

Always a good experience at the academy. I took my mom to get workout clothing which was reasonable here. The staff handle the crowds very well and got us out in a very reasonable time with little wait.

If you have a receipt for sunglasses to return I don’t understand why you cant accept them. They have a 14 day policy for sunglasses.

Went to Academy for Christmas gifts for my husband and they had things in stock! I was so happy because I had no idea what I was going todo, I had no Plan B. The staff was very nice and when it seemed that the line was going to get long, they opened more registers. Great service and available items during a busy time of year.

This store has a poor selection of wide width boots. The employees lack knowledge of the products they sell and didnt know if the boots come with a warranty.

Very crowded. A lot of people with no masks. Long lines. Hardly any staff at the register or to assist but theres a greeter?

Help was on time and check out @ pick up line was courteous and you could tell he didnt mind doing his job. I would hire him.

This store is literally next door to a swim school, but for some reason they only carry goggles, swimsuits, or anything associated with the sport of swimming during the summer. Last time I checked, swimming was a sport that people do all year round.

Advertised merchandise was in store, drove 45 miles and the store had been out of this merchandise since Thursday. Today is Saturday and the web site still said in stock at this store. Not cool. Still says that. 7 hours later. Clerk told me wont be in till Monday...sounds like bait and switch, come in for this and buy other stuff...I did not buy anything and I will not.

I used to like shopping here for various sporting goods and weapons, ammo etc.I have to say that this store managements complete lack of enforcing masks we experienced today was shocking. There were groups of people inside, whole families not wearing any kind of face covering. Some were actively talking to store employees at the gun counter. It was unbelievable. I will not spend my health care provider money here anymore.

Academy Sports is one of a few sporting Goods stores of its size and one of the best and is well equip to supply all of the sporting needs of the CSRA. I love it.

This store right here......... some of the guys behind the gun counter are rude and not wanting to help you they just look at you sideways. The woman behind the counter that assumes everyone resales ammo and holds things in the back for later because she assumes everyone resales ammo. This place has really gone downhill as of recently and really needs be looked into from some higher ups.

This is a large academy that is well stocked especially with their clothing and their foot wear. I found that they had a well stocked selection of jackets and their athletic wear. They did have an ample amount of shoes. The shoe section had allot of sells on quality brand names that I was surprised to see. Employees were helpful if you needed something and the checkout service was quite friendly.

Good selection prices vary. Selections differ from what is available online. Online says things are available, store says otherwise . Clerk was having a bad day I believe, but everybodys entitled to it.

Ammo is low supply. Wish they had more or the guns are of little use and unfornutely new owners can not PRACTICE to be safe.

It was good as most academy sports are. Bought a gun. Guy behind the counter could have been a little nicer. Especially after spending 2 grand. But ill be back for sure.

Selection is bigger prices are still fairly high but some of the discounts are worth it

Went and bought my Taurus 9mm G2c pistol today. Great price, good quality. Service was quick and courteous store sales staff. IM A HAPPY CAMPER NOW. So much other gear, like Camping world for serious enthusiasts sport minded folk.

They had very little selection in womens hunting apparel. It took a while but finally some 1 looked in the back and found a size small in mens. I did walk out there happy with Redhead coveralls that fit!

This store had a adequate amount of employees and cash register for the size of the store didnt have to wait in line very long it was well stocked and well taken care of the floors were clean and not all scuffed up they were not shopping carts all over the parking lot I was in and out with a nice shirt in about 10 minutes the employees were nice and respectful I recommend this store if you were looking for anything sports related if you enjoy rain my reviews please hit like and share thank you very much
