I pulled into the customer parking lot directly in front of the building like any normal customer would and got chewed out and yelled at by an employee because he was about to move a boat with a tractor, which I was not aware of their boat moving schedule. This is the first review Ive ever left in my life. Seems like a terrible place that I would never do business with.

The owner always makes me feel welcomed. Answers questions openly and is knowledgeable about boats and motors. Even delivers bad news well.

I was greeted by the owners son as soon as I walked in the door. He was very knowledgeable, answered all my crazy questions, and showed me exactly what I needed. I told him that I was working on an older 2 stroke 60hp johnson and just wondering if it were worth putting more into it. He explained that some motors you would have more in them then they would be worth but this one was worth putting the money toward. He was straight forward with me and I appreciate his honesty and their value. Will be back!!

Excellent service and quality of work. We had a boat that had not run in 10+ years and the staff here was very helpful and kept me informed all along the way as they rebuilt the engine. Very helpful and trustworthy. The owner even went out with me to the lake to test it. Highly recommended.

We bought our first boat from Jimmy at the boat center. He made sure we were comfortable with all the ins and outs of owning a boat. He made himself available any time we had a question. Service seemed very reasonable. When we go in to see him, Jimmy always remembers our names. A nice place to do business.

Bought a boat trailer. Staff was very helpful adjusting trailer to fit pontoon boat.

I work for Ironman, and helped coordinate swim safety for the event. As it would happen both of our outboards choose the week before the race to have issues. Jimmy Jr and Sr made the time for us to fix both motors, in short notice, and it time to ensure we had the boats we needed to have a safe swim. Great guys and we will make the time next year to have them service out outboards prior to race week. Thanks!!!

Im a do it yourself type. The guys at the boat center are always willing to help, have great prices on parts and can get them quickly and reliably. Surprisingly they can usually beat the prices you find on the internet or at Academy and you get the benefit of having over a hundred years of boat experience from the staff there.

Excellent experience here iv been here twice for parts for my boat and both times they have had what I needed they have many good used parts as well as new parts that you would normally have to order on hand in the store will be going back when in need of parts again.

A friend of mine is giving me an old aluminum jon boat with a 6hp 2-cycle evinrude motor. Ive never had a boat before, so earlier today (16 May), I just went in looking for information, should I be unable to fix it myself. The staff (didnt catch a name... dont think he even introduced himself) was extremely rude. He explained that they didnt like to work on old small motors because when people find out its $3-500 to fix, they dont even come back to pick them up. He said it takes the same effort to diagnose a newer 4-cycle motor as it does a 2-cycle, essentially telling me that hed rather put his effort into something that theyll end up fixing (i.e. making money). While I understand and can appreciate that they dont want me to waste their time with my 2-cycle motor, there are other things I need too... It wasnt the information he gave me, but the manner in which he delivered it. With the poor attitude shown to someone whos never been to the store before, I dont believe Ill be back. You get one shot at a first impression, and you missed the mark. Thanks for the quick and disappointing encounter.

Jimmy Beasley, the owner of TBC, has a vast amount of knowledge on just about every marine engine out there. The staff are very friendly and helpful and try to solve any problem faced with. Stop in for amything boat or water sport related.
