I got my first Skateboard here in January, the workers are nice and patient. I was just a teen that walked through their doors looking for my first board and they helped me find the right deck, trucks, wheels, etc. They have so many options and it is overall a great place. I dont regret a dollar I spent.

First off, from my experience Tactics has the best prices for skateboards and parts. This is extremely vital for people like me who are young and are trying to skate! Ive bought plenty of completes, boards, wheels, bearings, etc... from here and you can count on me when I say they have the most supreme customer service. Tactics is a legit website with a wide variety of skateboards. Everybody I have encountered at Tactics are super friendly and compassionate for skateboarding. Sweet shop near WJ skatepark. Lots of skateboards to choose from and lots of sale skate shoes. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the local spots and parks. Had to buy a tee to support the local skate scene. Glad I stopped here.

I am a longboarder and its great to have a store like this to run in and grab bearings, wheels, or whatever as needed. The staff is excellent at giving their views on the gear and that is because they use it too. The youtube videos are excellent and helpful too. Great to learn or re-learn important skateboarding tips and techniques.

Used to shop here until I just received two unauthentic boards. Upon realizing this I immediately called and was told that they would try to figure it out. I got an email and a board was overnighted to me as a replacement.COOL RT? NO!!! Upon receiving the replacement I realized tactics failed a second time to assert that the replacement I was getting was correct.I was then told to pick a different board out even though they are still selling these decks through their website which seem to be either b grade or unauthentic.After realizing at this point I will not have a deck for my son to ride this weekend I just had to go out of pocket to a local skate shop which is what I should have done in the first place but he wanted this specific board. It is memorial Day weekend and I ordered this well in advance and it is unfortunate that this has happened. I now have had to buy two separate boxes and tape and take two trips to have these boards sent back. This is a real bummer.On top of this I am also being told that I am not going to be receiving my new boards until they get the shipment of the second board that they sent me that was unauthentic. Tactics is supposed to have policies to uphold its integrity and Im questioning the integrity of this company. They authenticity policy as well as the satisfaction policy have not been met in my eyes and you could view these policies on their website.The best that they could do is tell me that they are going to give me 20% off and send me the board when they see the returns of hit their warehouse.Until then they are holding the 3rd board hostage, this is so lame. I really think it is an insult at this point to pretty much offer me $10 back for all of my trouble.Been over all unsatisfactory experience. Did not felt like the staff listened or really took care in fixing the problem. They are just making more issues . this is way too much work on my end for such a simple product. SUPPORT YOUR SMALL LOCAL SHOPS. Reader beware This was partially my error in judgment thinking humans could handle simple tasks while being kind and paying attention to simple details.

The only true skate shop in Eugene also makes it’s own (admittedly badass) merchandise, has a nice online presence and works hard with the local community to give skaters a community. Perfect location (close to Washington-Jefferson) and the building itself is pretty cool. Shoes, shirts, skateboards; what else do you need?

They offer product hard to find elsewhere local, but fact they are only allowing 2 people in at a time is insane! We waited over 20 minutes to get in and we were the only people there besides 1 family inside. Today we were about to drop a couple grand in there, but the line to the street kept them from getting our business. Hate to see how they are going to keep afloat. Good luck to ya Tactics.

I cant believe what this company did to my boyfriend. He wrote a letter to management but as I suspected they didnt respond. My boyfriend gave his brand new goggles, that I bought for him, to his friend because his friend was going on a big backcountry trip and really like the magnetic lens change. His friend, while still with us, placed an order on Tactics to replace the same exact goggles, to be shipped directly to my boyfriend. My boyfriend only gave up the goggles because he knew he would be getting the replacement pair soon and his friend need them immediately. They both received confirmations of the order. Weeks later, still no goggles had arrived so my boyfriend called to track them down. The agent said they had cancelled the order because it looked suspicious. Why did it look suspicious?? Because the shipping address and the billing addresses were different. Like this is not a common occurrence around the holidays when people are ordering gifts??? Genius detective work here!! The best part is that there was not a single email from Tactics (after the order confirmation email) that indicates there was any problem or concern. The agent on the phone was very dismissive and said thats always their policy. Really??? Then why would you allow the order to be placed if thats the policy and the addresses differed? The agent said they tried to call his friend but his friend said he received no such call. The agent offered no suggestions for a solution except to start from scratch and place another order, not even willing to expedite shipping if he did. Now my boyfriend is leaving for his annual backcountry trip and hes got nothing but his 5 year old busted up Oakley goggles to take with him. He wrote a letter to management hoping they would help in out in some way but Im confident that email will just continue to go unanswered. My guess is that the emails go right to the customer service agents that handle these issues so poorly. We are both ski pros and I personally am going to make a point to recommend that none of my colleagues shop here and would suggest the same for anyone reading this. I will gladly update this review if anything changes but Im confident that wont be happening.

I’ve made many purchases from Tactics online, and the weird thing was I had no idea they were from MY hometown (Go Ducks!!) of Eugene, Oregon. Their selection is awesome, fair prices and regular sales, and Jeremy is an awesome dude. And I always get my stuff faster than I get stuff I order from Amazon. Keep it up guys, and way to represent the EUG!

Never buying from them again. I was sent the wrong item with the barcode sticker of the item i wanted on it. I didnt want to return it and order again because they probably mislabeled the whole box of them and I would be in the same place as before. I emailed them and didnt hear back for a week, so I sent another email, waited another week, still nothing. I finally decided to return the item and purchase it from a different seller only to discover that I dont get refunded the shipping cost (even though the mistake was on them and I selected the sent wrong item option) and I have to wat two weeks for them to pay me back the amount it cost to ship the item back to them. Maybe i would send them an email and explain my situation and they would be helpful and refund it, bit as i learned their customer service team does not bother to reply to the emails they get. So basically I ended up paying $15 for a months worth of frustration. Thanks a lot tactics.

She even helped me assemble my board with the new pieces to save me time and has gone out of her way to help me get special sizes and have an opportunity to try before I buy. I will be continuing to come to this business for all of my skateboard needs. They also do snowboards, shoes, and all the gear in between.

I am pretty new to skateboarding so I went into this store with a lot of newbie questions and the hesitation that naturally comes when you’re entering an area of life you know mostly nothing about... All of the staff are EXTREMELY welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. I never felt like I was being judged or looked down upon, even though I was flooding them with my newbness.I want to give an extra special kudos to Alex and Edgar, who both went above and beyond to help me figure out my new board and helmet situation. Both were super patient with me as I made very slow aesthetic choices. Alex walked me through the whole deck building process, telling me all about each part and the differences in wheel size, board size, etc. (and then built my board superbly!). Edgar helped me lock down my helmet size, and when it wasn’t right, he took the initiative to order me two additional sizes to be able to have options.Fortunately have a super easy return/exchange policy! These folks just want you to be satisfied with your purchase and make sure everything fits. Their warehouse is in Coburg, so you don’t have to wait long to get the things you order if they don’t have it in the store, too! My first helmet arrived that same day I ordered it. All around this is a great skate shop and I highly recommend you check it out if you’re in Eugene.

So, Tactics is officially the most customer friendly, and super rad board shop of all time. Im from PA and just getting back into Snowboarding after years off, and never heard of them until I was checking out boards. I placed an order for over $400 on a board that I later found out didnt suit my riding style or PA conditions. I thought cancelling an order that large would be a nightmare (like it would with most companies), but I called and got Graig, who not only cancelled without a single negative connotation, but helped me understand what I was looking for better. This guy knows how to kill it at his job. It was like being in a board shop, but digitally and with no pressure to buy. I later went back to Tactics and bought a board that suited me and I couldnt be happier. Legit, my new favorite store and so happy I stumbled on their website.

90% of the workers are super rude. Ive only set up a board once and when I asked a worker to help me he acted like it was a problem. He also completely ignored me a few times and continued to talk to his coworkers and a customer. It seems like they only have respect for good skaters that are 15 years old and thats cool but do that at the skatepark dont bring that vibe into a skate shop. Shop is 5/5 stars but overall customer service is 0/5. That being said there is a really cool Asian guy who ALWAYS has a great attitude and is always willing to help, he deserves a raise and should be an example of how employees should conduct their customer service.

They didnt have what I needed on hand when I went in with my new board. Im new to longboarding and skating in general and the folks inside didnt push anything on me. Very pleasant experience. I can see myself shopping there on the regular when I need something. Only downside to the shop is the parking lot size, really.

Tactics is absolutely superb. They have EVERYTHING. The staff is great, always willing to help out and chat while you browse the store. I have walked in with 5 minute intentions and walked out an hour later because the staff is just too great. They like to talk snowboarding and share ideas and stories. I recently bought a new snowboard setup, which they matched a price for and waxed for free. I also just made a huge purchase for a surf trip: a board, bag, leashes, wax, etc. All of which they carried. What stood out though was how they were able to order in several bags for me to sample. I did not know which bag would fit the board the best but because of them I found the perfect one. Not many places do this, and I certainly would have been disappointing had I of bought the bag online. I am stoked Tactics is in Eugene, regardless of where I am I will continue to use their website for purchases. They have the best brands, best selection, and unbeatable prices. They match everything and beat it with their service.

Amazing. Got a graveyard board and wheels for free. Bought 8 dollar bearings and they work great. They also offer to put in the bearings for you and give you free stickers for your board. I recommend anyone going here if they need cheap but good supplies for a skateboard. Trucks are a little expensive, but that’s understandable. 10/10.

My girlfriend had ordered me a pair of the Nike SB Gato in white for my birthday. The package was returned to sender for some reason, but the people at Tactics did not hesitate to call and make sure there was a safe place they could resend it too. That in itself goes a long way with me. Just received my shoes 2 days ago and I love them. We live in Texas and I usually order from the Nike website but now I have a new place to shop from! I brought my niece there for her birthday to pick out her first skateboard and the employees didn’t take the time to explain the parts/function as they put the board together. The lack of motivation or interest was startling. I suggest finding staff who can represent the store and the industry in a different light, to be a resource and place for new skaters to come and feel welcome.

Yes, they have a good selection of skate brands and the prices are fair to good but when you return an item they take TOO DAMN LONG to refund you. I have been waiting on a refund since 2-11-19, checked my bank account again this morning and NOTHING. The guy i spoke to over the phone about this said i would be refunded by TODAY at the latest yet when i finally found and read their refund policy it said 8 to 10 days and thats just f***ing ridiculous. Therefore, the guy lied.He didnt even offer me a discount for next time so i may not do business here again.

This review is regarding a policy that recently happened, rather than an overall rating of the shop (which overall has been fine). On a Saturday they ordered a pair of shoes for me that were not in stock at their store from their warehouse and informed me they would call me when it was ready. On Monday they called and told me the shoes were in. On a Wednesday I went in to pick up the shoes and they informed me they didnt have my shoes because someone must of purchased them online. So, the shoes that were waiting for me were sold online. Id rather they told me on the Saturday to purchase the shoes or honor the request of my order; or inform me of a period I had to pick up the shoes.

Needed a new hobby so I came in to grab a board. Staff was really helpful and friendly

Went in to buy one of the guys I work with at the foster home a skateboard and the experience was seemless. Cameron was knowledgeable, straightforward, and overall a pleasant person to work with. We got a board and everything in no time, and Cameron timed himself when he put it together. He did it under 10 minutes like it was nothing! Great shop and definitely worth a visit!

Decent shop but I was skating at wj and one of their skaters was bullying kids. I asked him to stop and he became aggressive with me. People I asked said his name is moody and works or rides for tactics. After doing some research online I did find that he is featured by this company. How can you associate with someone like this? I have reached out to tactics but did not get a response.

I absolutely LOVE TACTICS!!! They are the most reliable, considerate company. I live in Hawaii and order off their website and they always ship my items right away, and I usually get my package within a few days! Which is unheard of when shipping things to Hawaii. MAHALO!!!

Absolutely terrible service. Being that I work in retail Id almost never leave a bad review unless it was necessary. This is the WORST board shop I have ever been in. The whole entire staff happily ignored us when we walked in. We began looking at decks in the back and an EMPLOYEE began quietly making fun of us to the little group he was talking to. Only one lady ever actually asked us if we could find anything all the other employees made us feel unwelcome. My boyfriend and I were eager to get a new board and the employees quickly dashed that desire. Tactics, you have definitely lost a customer here in Eugene!

You guys rock! Ordered some pipe gloves a size too big and returns were fast and easy. The right size arrived within a couple days. The online chat feature always connects me to a real person real quickly and the youtube product videos are concise and informative. Keep up the good work, you guys are earning a great reputation.

This season I had my eye on the Jones Mind Expander 158. I didnt need a new board but the reviews were too good. Apparently everyone else felt the same because they were sold out everywhere. Luckily, I managed to find one at Tactics, so I jumped on it. Had a small hiccup with the order but once it came to the attention of the right person, they really went above and beyond to make things right. Im a happy customer and will definitely do business with them in the future. Thanks guys
