Super fast service. Ordered curbside pick up from their website! My croissant breakfast sandwich and oatmeal were both good and worth the money!

Got a cold brew and the make it yourself breakfast sandwich which was SO GOOD! Loved the atmosphere and had beautifully made coffee. It was just a little expensive to me. Parking is a little difficult but you can park on a side street and walk over pretty easily.

Came here for breakfast and ordered the breakfast sandwitch with the following as options: turkey as protein, swiss cheese, pesto sauce. The sandwitch tasted fine, if anything, I would have liked it added a bit more of the pesto sauce.Also had margarita panini but the cheese was way too few cheeses. As for the drink, ordered a 16 once latte topped with some cinnamon powder but sadly the latte was too light (an extra shot would have made it better).Good customer service and free wifi available.

I am glad Kettle CAT survived the pandemic! They really care about customer service. No I am not just saying that because I got a free birthday meal. The manager was so sweet the very first time we met. He could see I was starving and offered me a free muffin on the house. Danny, you are wise beyond your years. As God is my judge, you will outlive all your competitors including Barbucks or whatever that other place is named.

I really enjoyed the turkey wrap that I ordered. I didnt know what to expect and it was really awesome. The wrap was rather large and cut into halves. It could be shared if you and a friend arent too hungry. The veggies inside were fresh and delicious. The drink I had was refreshing and tasty. Unfortunately I dont remember the name but I believe it was lemonade with hibiscus tea.

My favorite local coffee spot in Escondido. Wonderful atmosphere, very friendly staff, good location, and quality products. I’ve really enjoyed my time every time I’ve come here.

They make butterscotch lattes here! Oh, Im in heaven! We also partook in the turkey sandwich, the strawberry lemonade, and the rose lemonade. The strawberry lemonade had crushed strawberries at the bottom - always a sign of quality. The rose lemonade was delicately-flavored, and not overwhelming. We asked that the turkey sandwich be toasted, a request that they obliged. It was perfect, and the condiments did not overtake the rest of the sandwich (topped with tomatoes, greens, and mustard).Bonus: they have cookies made by The Cravory. Yum!

Good coffee and decent food. Feels very California to someone like me who recently moved to the state. If I lived nearby, Id probably visit regularly.

Great not so little cafe with a roastary.Stopped here to get some work done on my way back to San Diego. I pick Chelseas brain a little bit and she seem to know a lot about coffee and the espresso of the day. I ended up getting an Americano in a muffin muffin wasnt anything to call Home about but Im assuming its from a nearby bakery. The Americano was really good and the icing on the cake was definitely Chelseas customer serviceDid you have an affogato with gelato from the place next-door I really wanted to try that but I didnt get a chanceI noticed the place was Pretty clean the few patrons either taking classes are working from home,As soon as I got up to leave a young lady came and clean my table so Im sure they keep the place super clean all the time. They just reopened last Friday (6/12/20). My daughter and I like this place. Today (6/15/20), I decided to have my usual except for the black coffee (I normally buy their Mocha ones).Come support one of Escondidos local businesses. If you havent tried them yet, go and check it out. They are even part of the Fivestars reward system so I utilized my free pastry today!

Very good environment people respectful and great coffee very good coffee actually worth a try even if you dont like brewed shop coffee.

Came in for the first time and asked the girl to surprise me with an ice drink and it is delicious! This little coffee shop has amazing employees. The girls all knew their coffee and what was good. She even checked to see if the milk they had was sugar free for my sisters drink. Thank you ladies for amazing coffee.

Fun, tasty lattes and delicious food. Tried the Bussin Toast this week, and it was shockingly good.

Its amazing that one of my favorite places to read, write, and research is less than 5 miles from where I live. The ambiance is great. Peaceful. Not distracting. They have a wide variety of coffees and teas and food to go along with it. The Wifi here is fast enough and easy to connect to. They are enjoying the outdoor dining here on Grand Avenue. Highly recommended.

I dont get it. Maybe its just me (it frequently is). I dont think their coffee drinks are that great. The service is always glacially slow. It was, before COVID, a place to sit and hang out. So there was that. And now, with some outdoors place to squat I suppose thats back but overall, I think there are better options where the staff isnt so tediously, condescendingly, slow. We should slow the pace of life down. We should spend more time enjoying things. Problem is, for Kettle, waiting for your average drinks probably isnt one of those things we needed to spend more time doing.They could easily get better. Heres to hoping they do.Until then however, maybe somewhere else...

Very nice people and the coffee is better than Starbucks. The mocha was great and the turkey pesto sandwich was really good.

Kettle is a nice spot for an afternoon cuppa on Grand Ave. I loved the variety of teas and they make a pretty good cortado, too. They even gave an accompanying cup of sparkling water to cleanse your palate! The açaí bowl (pictured) is delicious. The service was good, though there seemed to be a slight lack of interest or enthusiasm. However, it is a nice café experience for taking a break with friends or just to chill out.

A favorite for their breakfast sandwiches and coffee. Good adherence to safety protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic. Thanks for letting your customers have some semblance of normalcy without worrying about exposure.

Great coffee and atmosphere. Came in on a whim and there was an open-mic event; not a single artist disappointed! Open mic is on Fridays I believe, highly recommend it

IMPORTANT: I believe their kitchen closes at 4pm.Only been here once, but I was very impressed. My mother ordered their seasonal flavored latte, and it was served on a wooden platter with soda water and a mint. I ordered a hot mocha, and it was pretty good with cinnamon. It was a great experience and were definitely going again:)Edit: I come here very often now, changed the four star to a five! The staff is incredibly friendly and their acai bowls are definitel my favourite, especially when the granola is fresh out of the oven.. Its always a surprise to see what sort of toppings will be on it. (the granola is vegan, too, for those who share my previous concern)

Their stuff is ok, but they’re not open long, so you can’t really do anything there.

I wish I could give this spot more stars. Great atmosphere, coffee was fantastic & the food was generous, homemade. What truly made my day were the box of Lincoln Logs in the back...I didnt think they existed let alone a nearly original set. Bring your kids & get them off the screens for a little while. They have books & games too.

Ive been here twice. Its always packed, but thats because its so good! My go to is avocado toast on sourdough. Theres quite a few plugs inside and people are always open to sharing tables. There is street parking and a public parking lot down the block. Both have 3 hour time limits.

Coffee and service were great! Love sitting outside- they have the morning shade.

Highly recommend if your in Escondido looking for a good coffee and place to sit and people watch, since it’s on Grand Ave. some outdoor seating and a bar facing the street.

Food and coffee are good, nothing special. Customer service is only “great” if you’re a regular customer. Been here a few times but after today I will never come back. Seeing the difference in treatment every time I’ve been here, makes it very uncomfortable and not a pleasant experience. Still, I gave it another chance but today was the worse!! When the girl behind the counter sees you come in but doesn’t say anything and after 15 min of waiting I go up to her and she tells me with a very sarcastic tone “I thought you were just sitting here, we have a lot t of people that just sit here” is extremely rude and disrespectful. She’s right, I should of shouted or got in her face to get some service. Instead of patiently waiting on her and coming back to this place! I’ll take my business elsewhere where I can be equally helped. Didn’t know I have to look or act a certain way to get a cup of coffee. Very disappointed in this place.

Probably Escondido’s biggest disappointment. Kettle has so much potential and is a could be gem. Sadly this place is consistently understaffed and often with staff who are poorly trained. If you choose to go, be prepared for high prices and slow service. This is very much an ownership issue. Breaks my heart honestly.

Kettle is downtown Escondidos stop for good, local coffee. Theyve got ample seating, nice staff, and a good selection. Prices are moderate for the market, and definitely reasonable. Ive yet to get a drink there that I havent liked!Only thing that would make it perfect for me would be if they were open a little later. However, I understand that everyones gotta get home sometime, and after dark can be a bit odd in downtown.

Coffee was good, but the iced cardamom latte was still too warm and not enough ice for such a hot day. Also no fresh pastries and none with chocolate. Oh well.

I received prompt assistance and was treated very kindly. The store has a very inviting feel and a very pretty outdoor area with trees as well. The scones we great and I appreciated the age of the building. Great spot and great location.

These guys really have stepped it up. Their coffee used to be a bit bitter. They recently added a roaster next door and the latte I had was much richer than before. Really enjoy the atmosphere. Nice gem in Esco.

I came here during their anniversary and they were giving free coffee to everyone! The atmosphere is also warm and welcoming. I was very satisfied.Unfortunately, they lost my order and it took longer than expected to get my cappucino. But I was staying there to work so it wasnt too big of a deal for me.

The workers are always really friendly. I never feel rushed even when Im there with my laptop to do work. Coffee is tasty and on these points alone Id give five stars. Unfortunately some recent changes took away from the ambiance- they removed their comfy, unique seating in favor of run of the mill metal chairs without cushions. The furniture change took away a little of the magic of the place for me

Trendy gourmet coffee shop in downtown Escondido is a good sign for this city! Vibrant scene. Tried a special (pricey) Ethiopian coffee that I didnt particularly care for, but thats just a matter of preference. Worth checking out when in Escondido.

This is a really neat coffee spot! Very unique in decor, with a laid back atmosphere. Perfect for a study session or reading your favorite book. The coffee has excellent flavor and I definitely recommend trying some of the seasonal items.

Kettle has a great, cozy atmosphere, kind and helpful staff, and amazing drink and food selections. Never have had a poor experience in all my time of visits, be it those to just grab a cup of coffee or an extended stay to study.

This is an impressive coffee shop. A gem of Escondido. Its got a great assortment of menu items with an industrial hip vibe and atmosphere. I had a Macha Latte with honey. It was simply delicious. I was impressed with the barista. She really knew her coffee and tea. I look forward to revisiting this place next time Im in North County.

Excellent drinks, decent WiFi, ample table space, enough outlets, friendly to students camping out all day, and live music and performances once nightfall hits. Friendly staff and definitely had some regulars that frequent the space for good stints of time. I’m a fan!

Super cute coffee house. The coffee was amazing. They have almond milk and coconut milk. Plus they make their own house syrup. Got the vanilla latte with almond milk, it was amazing.

Stopped by here with a girfriend recently. Im not from the area, so Id never been here. What a delight! Healthy options are always a bonus for me! (Avocado toast on artisan sourdough was heaven!) Super friendly staff and the very cool community vibe made this place really shine!!

The shop is nice.... But I ordered an acai bowl, which I paid $8 for, & it was only half way full. The acai sorbet doesnt taste like what Ive normally had before, its honestly not even that good. Also the Granola has a cinnamon type taste to it, it doesnt compliment the bowl.I wont be going back here.

The coffee and customer service ordering was good, but Im rating it 3 stars because our food took a really long time and the cook was a bit rude. They didnt have the everything bagel and asked if plain was okay. I happily agreed, but then they made it with oat. It was also burnt. The coffee was good, but for the price I would have expected more.

It was the perfect place for a late Friday meeting before enjoying the car show of classic 70s and earlier cars that they have on Fridays in the summer.I sat outside under the shaded awning and enjoyed the warm summer afternoon.

Great coffee with limited vegan milk and sweetener options(no coconut milk and no agave). I love that they offer lavender syrup but hate that they open so late and close so early.. And customer service was NOT their specialty(towards me) .. Very dry interaction with the Barista/cashiers

Nice, quaint atmosphere. Fire place in the back is enticing for cold days, sorry is was not roaring. Ppl seemed friendly and the cashier was very helpful. Got a sandwich, it was ok, nothing special for the price, and a vanilla latte which was very tasty. Over all a bit pricey at 10.50 for the two items. A good neighborhood feel, come here for the atmosphere and the coffee.

They are so friendly, and the Mexican mocha is to die for! I also love the cappuccino, and how they pair it up with a mint and club soda. it is a lil pricey but id say well worth it. The place can get real busy but hey, the more the merrier!

The kettle has fantastic tasting coffee and loose leaf teas. They have just begun to roast their own beans which provide a relatively low acidic, chocolate taste with hints of fruit; makes for a fantastic espresso if you are into that. Their mixed drinks are also artistically delicious; all around good craftmenship.The staff is also very friendly and helpful. They are always a pleasure to talk with, and helpfully knowledgable on the local area.The Kettle is also a great place to hangout with friends, family, have casual business meetings, or catch up on some studying for any classes if you are a student.The Kettle is definitely worth a visit!

Here for my first time. I like the atmosphere and their cold brew coffee is good. The matcha green tea is pretty good too.

First let me say I am a coffee snob! I love good coffee. I realize everyone has different tastes. The worst Americano Ive ever tasted. I should explain. The Americano tasted like a very bad watered down coffee. That is the only way I can describe it. My friend ordered a Chi Latte, way to sweet. Like syrup. My other friend ordered a Vanilla Latte. She said wouldnt come back for one. I have been a total of 3 times.
