Great place and selection. I moved from San Francisco 6 months ago and Ive been hunting for a new homebrew store ever since. I placed an online order and Tim called me to ask if I needed anything not listed on the website. Tim special ordered me some products and even fulfilled my 2 grain bills and double milled the grains for me. Sweet. He told me when all the products and fresh yeast would be in and when I arrived the order was all boxed up. I got a full receipt of all the products I ordered and Tim gave me some great advice on water conditioning.New homebrew place for me.Plus - the pot stills are coming and Im drooling. I like it.5 stars.Great staff and service and very fresh grain, artisanal hops in the big bags and White Labs yeast straight from San Diego.New owners doing a great job.

Great place! Best homebrew shop in north county, very friendly and willing to talk and answer questions! Owner is very easy going, professional and just a really nice guy. Had a bad experience at two other homebrew shops so happy this place is around the corner from my house.

Overall, its not the worst homebrew store Ive been in. Average selection of grain. The counter person was friendly and helpful. I do have some concerns though. When I asked if they carried 34/70 dry yeast he said no and that hed never heard of that yeast. Hmmm.... Then of the lager yeasts they had, The WLP802 expired in September. The WLP800 expires 11/30/18. Come on man! Then the hops. They open 1 lb bags and repackage. No thanks. Youve negated all the packaging originally done to keep them fresh. Between Smokin Bever and Bear Roots, I couldnt find what I needed for my 3 brews. Very frustrating. Its hard to support local with experiences like this. Ill keep ordering from Morebeer or stop by there when work takes me that way.

Wide selection of home brewing equipment. Has a wide selection of grain in store as well as friendly staff. Equipment was kinda pricy, but everything else was very fairly priced. Will definitely go back for the large selection of white labs liquid yeast on hand as well as grain.
