With the car shortage Kia feels it’s appropriate to tack on thousands of dollars worth of NON-OPTIONAL accessories that they do not advertise or list on the window sticker. If you go in expecting to pay the advertised price plus tax, title, and license, you will be disappointed. I was able to reduce the cost of those accessories to just $395 but not until after I had a heated discussion with the manager and walking out.Attached is a photo of a sticker with these non-optional accessories that was on another car. This sticker was not on the car I originally test drove nor the car I eventually bought. The featured had not yet been added to the car I bought but was told they were going to add them anyway even after I asked them not to.Though aside from the heated discussion with the manager, the sales person was actually quite nice and accommodating and the finance guy was very patient and up front. It’s just that no one likes to be blind-sided with surprise mandatory accessories.

The best car buying experience. It was well worth the 100 mi drive to get there. Friendly, honest, easy to deal with, no hassle. Paid exactly what was advertised. Car was exactly as described. I was actually pleasantly surprised. Would want to make the drive there for future car purchases.

In the past we’ve had great experiences. Sadly…this is no longer the case. Jose in service did not update us for a week, even after us calling and told me “I apologized and that’s that”. Victor told me I needed a new engine (which nobody can explain why he said this), Danny and Robert are extremely rude and condescending (this is an understatement). GM Abe has a hard time returning calls (this is a theme there). Esther, Abe’s assistant is horrific. She told me “I told Robert to call you. I did my part, I can’t make him call you”. This is after she apologized for the “shitty service” the day before and then said she doesn’t speak with foul language. Adrian in sales is the ONLY one who followed through and it wasn’t even his responsibility. Today we realized we never received paperwork and we have a new error and in true fashion Abe did not return our call. Btw because you all have called ID they either wouldn’t answer my call or pick up and place the phone in the counter. It’s only after calling from my work line that I got someone to pick up and speak to me. The sad thing is that had anyone just communicated we would have been fine.

I was nervous to get a mole removed on my face. The doctor was nothing short of fantastic. Made me feel at easy and comfortable. Even when he said I might feel a pitch, I felt absolutely nothing! I paid out of pocket and think it was very responsible. Thinking of going back for more skin treatments in the future.

Terrible experience here, brought my car in for a check engine light, when I chose to have the car fixed somewhere else, I informed my service advisor and he stated that the vehicle would be ready for pick up any time later that day or after. Upon arrival, I received my vehicle with a large black dirty plastic piece on my backseats and several screws in the center console. When I inquired about this piece of plastic, I was told it’s the under part of my car. I was told they would take it back and put it back on. When attempting to drive my car back to the service area, the advisor backed my car up onto the curb? (Mind you this whole process took an additional 30 min) My concern was why it was placed on my leather seats without protection to begin with. What bothered me most was the service advisors whispering in a group about how annoying it is that whatever technician puts that piece inside the cars and always forgets to put it back on. This is just pure negligence and bad management. I don’t recommend bringing your vehicle here if you really care about it. Cause they definitely don’t care at all. I spoke with the service manager Robert, and he did nothing for me except offer for me to leave my vehicle with them AGAIN to amend the situation. I paid for a diagnostic and left with dirt seats and extra screws……

The customer service at this location is 5/5 all day long. All the people at this location are great and definitely take care of you. I had an appointment at 2:30pm, and I checked in a bit early around 2:10pm. Unfortunately for an appointment oil change I didn’t leave until about 4:20pm. I feel like it shouldn’t have been that long, but it was still flawless service from everyone there. And may I mind you I drive to this Kia in Escondido, and I live 2 miles from the El Cajon Kia location.

We already knew what we were there for, but Ben just made the experience that much more exciting for us. I called ahead of time before making the 45 minute drive. My experience at KIA Escondido was 1000 times better than the Temecula KIA and there is only one reason that I would not give them five stars. My complaint is that Kia can’t bother to replenish my windshield wiper fluid. I know that’s a small thing but over the years I have become accustomed to Having my vehicle fully serviced by Nissan and Hyundai which always included replenishing the windshield wiper fluid. I have always appreciated not having to think about any of these minor things when it comes to servicing my vehicle. It’s important enough to me that I probably won’t buy a Kia again because if they don’t care about the little things how can I trust them to take care of the big things.

I first went to KIA for service when I leased my car. I like my Sorrento so much I purchased it and continue going to KIA for service because they make it an easy, pleasant experience. Everyone is always super helpful, friendly and professional. They don’t pressure me into service I don’t need, will take the time to discuss what needs to be done and the cost. I feel services are fairly priced and they usually get it done before or by the estimated time. The waiting area is clean, comfortable and has snacks and drinks available. I actually look forward to taking my car in after work, which has never been the case! Thank you!

Christina helped us out when we were originally looking for a forte when we arrived. She showed us the K5 and I instantly fell in love with it. Through the usual talking and negotiations, she was able to help me walk out with the car of my dreams. The North County Kia team was a big help in all of this as well, but if it wasn’t for her and her knowledge on the products Kia has to offer, I would’ve never even considered spending the amount I was okay with in my agreement. I contacted North County Kia late one evening, after hours of online searching. Early the next morning, Christina M. in the internet sales, called me. After communicating what I wanted and what my ideal deal structure would be, she went to work.I was contacted by two other dealerships that day one called, one via text, but neither ever got back to me after I spoke to them.I went to work and before the day shift was over only Christina M. at North County Kia, ever back to me with information. She gave me a detailed break down of my monthly payments based off of the information we had discussed earlier. I proceeded to fill out the online credit application on my phone during my lunch and before I went home we had set an appointment to go pick up the car the next morning.When I arrived the car was ready for me to test drive. I went for a drive and the sales team began writing up my deal. After a short wait and a second test drive on a possible K5 purchase, we moved into finance.Troy, our finance manager was awesome. Very direct and straightforward, no smoke and mirrors type of guy. We went in and out of finance with no hidden fees and no sales pitch. Best part, if not the hardest part to believe is, the price I walked out paying is exactly the same price I had been shown when Christina and I agreed to move forward.Simply said easiest, fastest and most stress free car shopping experience I have ever had. Will definitely return to look into that K5 for my girlfriend.

I recommend this Kia location to anyone interested in buying a car. I went to every Kia in San Diego and the service/deals did not meet the standards that this location holds. Jordan, Jim, Omar and Vicente were extremely kind, helpful and made sure to get us the best deal possible. They worked extra hard to get the best trade in value for our car + our monthly payments to be as low as possible. I’ve never had such a great experience in a dealership before. My 2016 Kia Soul Plus broke down so I had it towed home. I called the Escondido dealership and they set up an appointment for Wednesday morning. I asked would it be ok to tow my car a day early on Tuesday they said yes that would be fine. My car was towed in and arrived at the dealership by 11am. I received a call 30 minutes later from Daniel a service advisor who normally assists me when I take my car in for service. He ask me why is your car being towed and what happened. I explained what happened and he said he would make an effort to at least find out what was wrong today and call me as soon as he found out. I explained I had an appointment for the next day and he said that is good but time permitting he would take car of my car as quickly as he could. I got a call at 4:00 from Daniel and he said my car was fixed and that it was a computer update that was needed. I could pick my car up today if I have time or the next day and no charge.The service that was provided by Daniel was professional, exceptional and friendly. It’s my first to use this facility. I was accommodated quickly (even though I was late a half hour for my appointment). I brought my car for a scheduled maintenance and was completed on time, as estimated on the work order. The car also was given an excellent wash. Daniel, the staff who wrote the work order, was very polite and cordial. He thoroughly explained what the service entailed and how much it would cost—no surprise extra charges.I would gladly recommend this service station to anyone.

My SUV had a recall and the folks at North County Kia were so courteous they got me a ride to the store so I didnt have to wait while they fixed my vehicle. When they were done they gave her a bath and then called me to let me know it was done and offered me a ride back (I chose to walk because I wasnt that far) when I returned I signed a paper and was done. The whole experience lasted 2 maybe 2.5 hours and they made it a great experience. I will be going to North County Kia when I am ready to upgrade my SUV. Thanks guys and gals.

Suffice it to say, I walked into the dealership and drove out with a new car. I am extremely thankful with how everything worked out. My only issue is less about the dealership and more about the process. Obviously the finance aspect of car shopping is tedious - I don’t think anyone likes that.

Recently leased a vehicle through Kia Escondido without the vehicle being present and although the vehicle is decent, we were told we had to provide a perfect survey experience in order to receive floor mats for the car! The process was less than perfect considering the car they originally told us we would receive was not the car we did receive. The finance department couldnt figure out who to call when an issue on their end stalled the financing process. A survey experience should reflect the experience of the customer and not as a bribery to receive floor mats for a vehicle that was purchased. The survey reflected the experience, less than perfect! Once they make the sale, they care less about customer service!

I’ve never owned a Kia before until we bought our 2021 hybrid Sorento. After only three months of owning it, I started it one morning to find that every single warning light and error message lit up the dashboard. I was disappointed that this was happening to an almost brand new vehicle and was ready to give the service department at the Escondido Kia dealership a piece of my mind. To my surprise and amazement, my service technician Jose knew almost immediately what was wrong. Rats or some other rodent had eaten through a sensor which triggered all the others to malfunction! To my surprise and delight, they had my car fixed later that day. Jose was very professional and courteous and even gave me an info sheet on how to prevent rodents from returning for another midnight snack. Very happy with my experience!

When purchasing my car the finance manager introduced me to the many wonderful features that Kia has available such as no cost dent repair and windshield replacement. As a new member to the Kia family, I thought these were things offered in their warranty which is known for being really good. After each feature he described, he had me sign an information sheet which listed a price on some but not all of them. However, they were not clearly visible because his printer alignment was off and he did not point out the cost. At the end all these items were listed and added to the purchase price on the main contract. When I asked him why the price of on the contract was $10,000 over what I had expected, he said that it was the amount I will pay for the full loan. Which I took to be with all the interest. He did not point out the individual items that he had tacked on. The whole time the negotiation was going on, it was done by monthly payment not what I would be paying for the car. The extra items I paid for increased the monthly payment by over $100 but they came back with a monthly payment that was closer to the original one offered saying that they had found a better loan option. Once again they were only going by monthly payment, not the vehicle price. He brought down the monthly payment by tacking an extra year to my loan. I discovered all of this shady finance dealings when my original lender sold my loan to a credit union which then sent me the info on how much they paid for the loan. You bet that I am going to get as much value as I can out of these unnecessary options and never give this dealership another $.

The location is perfect. I had an appointment time of 9:30am. They got me situated and when I asked for a time frame the employee stated it would be approximately 2.5 for recall repairs. So I informed him I’d be going to the gym and to call when my car was ready... 1.5 hours at the gym and he calls and says that my car is ready to go. It was such a pleasant experience. I will be back to complete more services!

To start, I own two Kias and have dealt with multiple Kia dealerships/employees over the past 10 years. My service manager Victor Martinez was horrible. Worse service manager Ive ever had, possibly the worse Kia employee Ive dealt with as well. He basically wasnt interested in providing service. If you didnt buy what he was selling he turned into a child. It was a very childish and unprofessional experience. He is the reason I did not service my car there. He is the reason I will not do any future business at this dealership.

We had a great experience at Kia of North County. Our sales person Jesus was amazing and super accommodating at answering all of our questions and patiently showing us multiple vehicles. Jim the sales manager was extremely customer service oriented and we could tell he was really trying to get us the best deal possible. He worked really hard to get us a killer financing deal. I needed a minor service, just an oil change. They noted there was a software update so did that and a tire rotation at the same time. The whole service was less than an hour. They even did a no cost car wash. I waited on the service in their clean and comfortable waiting room. Overall, a very pleasant experience. I highly recommend North County Kia for all your Kia service needs.

I took my Kia in to fix a couple safety recalls...it was running brilliantly I just wanted to handle this preemptively.After picking it up from them, it rattles horrifically under the hood and shakes when Im breaking. Im incredibly concerned but I cant afford to take it to a mechanic and I sure as heck am not going to take it back to them.Im 50% convinced they did something with the hopes it would bring me back in to have it fixed but all it did was completely erode my trust in them. ...its either that or whomever put it back together was having a bad day or completely incompetent.Either way, my car was running extremely well and after being in their hands for a few hours, its worse off than its ever been.I do NOT recommend their service department! Im horrified.

I have not like my service at North County Kia. I have been here twice and both times not to par. It is my first time buying a Kia and honestly wouldn’t consider another Kia just because of service. I love my car and can’t wait until I can go else where. First off communication is HORRIBLE! no one answers the phone and calls you back… not even the manager. I called for 3 days trying to get the status of my car and no answer. I finally had to take time out of my work day to drive over there in person to talk to someone. When I confronted my frustration all they can say is sorry… nothing else. Just one word. Then they told me my car wouldn’t be ready for another 4 days!! My car has been here for a week already. To top it off my car seats 8 and have 3 small kids. They gave me a small sedan that barely fit 2 car seats… seriously! I will definitely be taking my car else where even if that means driving farther away from my house. Hopefully not all Kia services are this way.

We purchased the snow white pearl 2021 Forte EX with North County KIA and we were very happy & very satisfied. We did our negotiations without stepping in the dealership (only via email), no pressure at all. It was Christine Munoz who helped us and gave us the great deal that we wanted. Even the financing (Alex) was quick and truthful. Luis (Kiwi) was very helpful explaining to my daughter all the cars gadgets, functions, and information. The new car had a full tank of gas, the mileage is only 16 miles, car washed/detailed, new car mats, and we were treated as VIPs. I checked 5 other dealerships (even outside San Diego) and nobody could beat North County KIA - for the price and outstanding customer service. There was hardly any white Forte EX model with the other dealerships. Theres one dealership that offered us the same price but the car was not on their lot - instead they would have to get it from another dealership and we found out that the car will be coming from the Glendale area (which is about 120 miles from Escondido). It was very confusing and no transparency at all. They wanted us to sign a contract first before the other dealership can transfer the car to them and before we can test drive it.My daughter and I are so very happy and very satisfied with North County KIA. Its a full 5 plus-plus stars (all the way) for them! Thank you so much to Christine and her team.We will pass on our great experience to our friends and family!

Actual service appointment and my new service writer (Stephanie) was great. Dropped of the car early and she called to say it was ready before the scheduled appointment. Impressive! Why 4 stars? It took over a half hour and many calls to schedule the appointment. The GM said theyre having trouble finding help, but to not have someone answering the phone and no voicemail... I think 4 stars was a gift. Well see how things go for my next visit. Thanks to Stephanie for being a Superstar and calling when she said she would. Too many dealers dont seem to be able to do that. BTW, we LOVE our Kia Soul EV+! Ive even managed to stop shecking the (nonexistent) gas gauge.

We went into Kia to trade in a 2016 Sorrento for a 2021 Sorrento. We met with Christian and he showed us what they had on the lot. He was very knowledgeable about each trim package and he was able to help us narrow down a Sorrento with features we wanted and needed as a family. Only problem was that particular model wasnt available. We were kinda bummed but Christian told us he will try to find exactly what we wanted if we give him some time. For the rest of the day he looked but wasnt able to find it. He kept us informed and I know he was trying his best. So we decided to give him a couple of days to work on it. Well 24hrs after our first visit to the lot he calls us excited 😆. He says he has exactly what we wanted and sends us a video of the car. Im happy to say it was exactly what we wanted and at the price we wanted. Christian worked so hard and we knew him and the Kia staff were fighting for us. Paperwork was easy and had us driving our new Kia home in no time. it was a pleasurable experience and I would recommend anyone looking for a new Kia to let North County Kia of Escondido work to get you Exactly what youre looking for.

Counter service was decent. I was offered my first service free when I purchased my vehicle but sales guy didnt leave any info. So it had to be confirmed. Hopefully the did the oil change right. They washed the car, but my 2 year old would have done a better job with the hose at home.

I bought my car at North County KIA in August 2020, though didnt drive it much due to Covid and staying home. I had an issue come up with the air conditioning hose and I was able to get it into the service department same day, unlike the other local Kia dealership which told me it would be a few days before they could look at it. Stephanie in the service dept helped us, got it diagnosed and taken care of same day. This is my first Kia and first experience with this service department. Its a bit of a drive to make it here, rather than the other Kia dealership closer to my home...but if this service continues to be great, its worth the drive.

This is the first time I brought my car to North County KIA Service department. Arrived at 1:30pm for my 2:15 appointment. The Service Advisor took some information and took the key, my car was ready at 3:20 pm. I’m very satisfied with the service provided, very professional and prompt service. Highly recommended.

I was quoted service was to be 1.5 to 2 hours. I was gone within the hour. Staff was wonderful keeping me updated on my car’s progress. I was able to make an appointment within days of my request, unlike Carlsbad, which had a 2.5 week wait.Overall, I would rate my experience a 10!

Exceptional service from our salesman Chris, the manager and finance guy…sorry guys I forgot your names.Chris was not pushy, listened attentively and just “clicked” with our personalities. It was a really relaxed experience that put us at ease. We appreciated the manager’s approach to working out a figure and terms that met our needs without high pressure selling tactics. We are now on our third Kia after only looking at one other dealer. We were supposed to visit four other dealers to whittle down our choices, but decided that was not necessary as the 2022 Seltos has everything we need and the team won us over with their superior service! One last thing—I joked with Chris about getting us burgers and fries and he actually went out of his way to get this for us!! Thank you Chris! I will definitely recommend him and North County Kia to all my friends and family!

My experience in the service department started out a little rocky. I took my car in for a recall. Scheduled an appointment ahead of time. Dropped my car off first thing 7:00 am. I was told it would be done by noon that day. The problem was with this particular recall only 1% off cars actually needs the part changed. Kia assumed I would not need to change anything only to find my car in fact had an issue. When Kia called me and told me that they didnt have the part they also informed me that I should not drive my car. When I asked for a rental car they told me they didnt have any to provide. After many frustrating phone calls on my end and my husbands end, Robert who is the service manager really went above and beyond for us. He called every Hertz and Greenleaf in the area as well as the area I live in (Riverside County). He really kept me updated and in the loop.. not to mention his honesty. It took a day to track down a rental but he did it. He really went above and beyond in the customer service department even after dealing with my anger and frustration.

Good experience. Quick replacement of a part. Friendly fast service. Only hiccup, but potentially a big one, is that I missed my first appointment, but when I went to reschedule, they had no record of my initial appointment. Worked out, since I missed the appointment, but that could have been bad if I hadnt. All in all, great. They actually replaced the part for free, (a molding strip, no biggie) even though it wasnt technically under warranty. The Kia dealership in Temecula where I bought the car told me that I would have to pay for it. Was a nice surprise.
