Had a great experience with AAMCO and the staff. They were able to get the clutch replaced on my Eclipse in and repaired quickly, and found several other issues along the way. They called, discussed options, and gave me price updates on the spot. And their prices for the clutch replacement were around $600 less that other quotes. Will definitely go back if I need any more transmission work done.

4.45 (no snacks, free coffee)...Routine 30k mile transmission service on 2004 Saturn L300 Series 1 with 142,500mi. Having never experienced AAMCO before, because Ive always done my own maintenance and repairs, my lift is broken so to a shop i must go. Two days before the visit, i called around several places and John at AAMCO listened, asked good questions, listened and was succinct and to the point and said come on in but encouraged an appointment. Arrived at appointed time and parked. First impressions: exterior is clean, organized, professional. Lobby and garage are simple, clean, efficient. Bathroom ditto. They got the job done faster, better and more economically than I anticipated. They showed me the pan and the car while lifted on the rack. The mechanic on my car was sincere, honest and humble. The other young mechanic was focused on his work. The self proclaimed retired salesman Wild Bill Mustang (owner?) helped to dispel the awkwardness that often exists at auto-service-shops. I was pleasantly and unexpectedly surprised by the entire experience.

We went to 4 differenct garages and transmission specialists who could not provide an answer to our transmission problem. Within two hours AAMCO found nothing in there diagnostics HOWEVER they came across a technical journal entry that specified the precise symptoms and solution for repairing the transmission. They recommended that we should go to our dealership for repair due to the nature of the fix. All thier service was free of charge. I would recommend AAMCO to anyone . I was truely impressed by thier professionalism and honesty.

I waited 1,000 miles to write this reviewI needed one plate to retain the main shaft in a 5mt out of a 2006 impreza. Subaru........wanted $2500 just in labor cost. Crack the case and all of that. The job I needed done was in the transfer case which is mounted behind the transmission for subarus so there isnt a need for cracking the case.John Smith is the general manager at this location of AAMCO. The moment I walked in the door and explained my problem it was very apparent that Customer Service is his TOP priority. He heard all the information I researched and said the job could be done no problem, quickly, and quoted me at $252. I brought in my transmission and the next day he had it ready for me and the cost was lower still. $189 out the door. He even honors veterans discount.This was the smoothest and best I have ever felt dealing with a mechanic shop. I drove to Yuma just last weekend and drive 45 min to work each day. Not a single complaint.

After I was quoted an outrageous price for a simple installation of OEM parts for my Nissan 350Z, four times more as a matter of fact, John saved the day by installing them for me - saving me bucco-bucks! Slim did the work. He was super knowledgeable and efficient. I would not hesitate to return to AAMCO and let John and Slim service my car again. In fact, I look forward to it!!

Leaking radiator fan seal on 20 year old Dodge/Cummins was repaired right the first time. And, the service manager suggested three additional replacements (belt, sensot and thermostat) that would best be replaced when the water pump was being replaced, all appropriate. Work was done quickly, and truck was test-driven by the shop..Being an out-of-state vehicle full of luggage so obviously having few options, was pleased total cost was no more than Id expect to pay at home.Professional, efficient and honest, all we could ask for.

Use a few AAMCO in So Calif. Escondido and also in Corona appreciate the service out of Escondido excellent communication.

Had my transmission built here a couple years ago. Due to a defect in parts it had to go back a couple times for warranty. They always repaired it quickly and stood by their work.

Aamco has saved me a thousand dollars on a 4x4 Jeep clutch replacement compared to the dealership. It needed a slave cylinder and had a transmission leak. PLUS It works much better than originally now. They use quality parts. I had my jeep patriot since it was new and that was the first major fix it needed. John and Bill are a pleasure to talk to and are very knowledgeable service managers. The technicians are reliable and honest plus whole heartedly stand behind their work and get the job done very quickly. I reccomend them to my family and friends.Many years ago they fixed a simple bushing on a shift cable compared to the dealership told me I needed a whole transmission rebuild. Aamco saved me thousands! Ive had many bad experiences with other mechanics in the past and now I am confident to be able to own an older car that has no warranty and trust Aamco to take care of the repairs needed to save my family money and headaches. They really care for their customers and have been consistent for many years.I am so glad we have Aamco on auto parkway in the Escondido community doing honest work.

First and foremost I would like to mention the positive things AAMCO had provided.1. I was given 3 quotes for my transmission with little to no money to fix the car they helped me find financing. No one could help me. So AAMCO was nice enough to take payments without interest.2. I wasnt charged a storage fee while I was paying off my balance.3. I was shown the problem inside my transmission to be assured there was a problem.Now here is what pissed me off. The vehicle I had repaired had a 3/4 of a tank of gas when I dropped it off for repair. When I picked up my car yesterday it had no gas!! My gas light was on and 200 extra miles put on my car!! I would watch these guys like a hawk. If they have the opportunity to take it, they will.
