I remember this store always being stocked to the brim but I avoid going in here now because I know they either wont have what I need or it is really expensive. If I need to grab something fairly standard and need it quickly, I will stop in otherwise Hobby Lobby in San Marcos is my go-to

Very helpful staff. I got asked if I needed help 5-8 times by several different employees. Even though they didnt have what I needed, they told me which stores did.

I came in for some Cricut supplies, but I also had an UPS package to drop off. Totally forgot that they take UPS Prelabeled packages.Good experience with UPS drop off and got my Cricut supplies on sale. The mgr on duty was a nice young man as well.

Every once in a while something i need isnt in stock. I notice things are being moved around more in the past couple of years. (I been coming here for years.) I wish the rewards were in card format instead of on phone. They are really good at mostly keeping the store in stock. Clean and well organized shelves.

Im a regular Michaels customer and love this store but my most recent experience with this location was extremely frustrating to put it lightly. I had noticed on my bank statement that the store TRIPLE charged me for a single transaction I had made on January 15th. One of the charges managed to be refunded but I still needed one more refund for the second additional charge. I called this location to tell them the situation and the assistant manager told me to wait a couple days because the second refund might still be making its way through since it was probably a system error. I waited, no refund. Four days later (today) I made a 20 minute drive to the store to get a refund. I was met with the manager (Beth) who was suspicious of my situation and wasnt being very helpful until I had to express more urgency and extremity with my situation. She had told me that it must have been a bank error and I had to contact my bank or contact Michaels customer service. But I had already contacted Michaels customer service and they told me that they couldnt help me with my situation, only the store I had purchased from can help me since they are the ones who would be able to issue me a refund and confirm that I was double charged. Even after showing the manager these screenshots of the charges, she told me she couldnt help me because she needed to see the actual thing referring to my bank statement. I proceeded to pull up my Chase Bank account and showed her the charged and only then did she take my receipt and look up the transaction number in the back room. She came back to repeat the same thing that she cant help me because they have no proof of a second charge even though there is proof on my bank statement. She provided me her phone number and some information that was actually helpful but I wish I was taken seriously since the beginning. I called my bank to get help and they basically told me that this is in fact the Michaels Escondido stores fault and that they (Chase) can give me temporary credit back until they dispute with Michaels and get the refund from them themselves. Im tired of running around trying to figure out who can help me with this situation especially since it should be the Michaels location to issue me a refund since it was their mistake.

This Michaels was very clean, incredibly organized, and the sales people are very friendly and helpful! I live farther south, but I will gladly drive extra to get to this location, as it is much better then the Carmel Mountain or Poway ones.

Michaels has mastered the buy online and pick up at store way of doing things. When I went in, they had a dedicated person to help. I was there about 5 minutes. They even carried my item to my car for me.

I highly recommend this Michaels! When I went to the checkout lady, she noticed I was buying one size of elastic bands (for clothing modifications) and asked if I would like to look at the different sizes because she had some that were still being put away and I didnt see them on the shelf. I was able to trade out some of the sizes I needed. She was super sweet and extremely helpful! Thank you so much check out lady!

Its great store that usually has everything you need for bringing your ideas to life, so to speak. But be aware, theres always a line, not due to many customers, but cashiers are taking so much of their sweet little time to serve single person with just a couple of items, that you got enough time to have a lunch. But stuff is sweet, I just wish they would move a little bit quicker.

We really enjoy browsing through Michaels... especially at Christmas time. They always have great sales on their holiday accessories. We even have found deals on Christmas cards too.In the past, I used to frame up sports memorabilia, and Michaels had everything I needed to get my projects done. Weve also had good luck with building photo albums too.Michaels also offers great coupons and deals through email and text messaging.

Had just what I was looking for.

I found what I was looking for and then some. However due to all the picture boxes I purchased it was a little challenging to get everything in the bag & the checker didnt make the effort to get all the items in the bag. Its ok! Im pretty self sufficient, yet it wouldve been nice to help the flow of traffic if she couldve taken 3 extra minutes to re-pack the bag. Also I noticed she didnt wipe down the card terminal where you punch in your numbers. Thats where people are putting their hands. She wiped down the top but not where you punch in your number. Luckily we all have our hand sanitizer.😂

Found what I was wanting, but when I went to pay the girl asked me if I had rewards with them, I put in the phone number I thought was on record and it wasnt the right number, and the girl said nope you dont. and hit the amount to pay, and said that will be this amount.she Didn t even bother to ask if I might have a different number or would I like to sign up to get rewards. Just told me the final cost to pay.

Be careful when you buy something that says its on sale. You have to be very exact and looking at each tag, not simply go by the sign on the bend. They have a habit of mixing non sale items in with the sale items so that you pay full price when you get to the register

The store its self is ok but when they get those cinnamon cones in they like to put as much as they can by the front so it hits you right away and it can make it hard to breathe so take care if youre an asmatic, or just trouble breathing. Good luck

I loved it! The place is well organized and well lit. Clean floors too, I used to see a lot of junk on the floor before. Its been a while since Ive been but Ill likely be back soon.They dont have much resin stuff for making jewelery but so many other things for jewelry making is available.The cashier gave me a member discount of 50% off one item. I should have used it on something else but I did get really beautiful stickers for cheap!I recommend for all crafts projects for sure.

This is my go-to crafting store. I can almost always find the materials for the crafts that Im trying to make and they offer some great coupons on regularly priced and sale items. And right now, so close to Halloween, I got some great deals on Halloween decorations. The cashiers have always been friendly and make checking out quick and simple. We recently had to return some merchandise and they even made that easy for us.

Insanely expensive. $40 for a yard of fabric. Or some plastic container. Good selection overall but only for emergencies. Regular arts & crafts shopping needs to be done elsewhere.

Items that are out of stock still have purchase cards out to take to the cashier. Frustrating!

There was a lady there that was putting away merchandise... Well she was awesome because I had asked her a question about where coloring books where. She took me there physically and on my way I made a joke and she giggled at it! Most people just look at me super rude but she didnt she was great!

I swear the people who work here are so nice. They are some of the nicest people who Ive ever experienced while at any store. The lay out is nice and not maze like, like some Michaels. They have a lot of workshops going on for all ages which is a plus for everyone. And they always have great deals going on. You cant beat their prices.

I recently went here to buy macrame cord the store was a disaster and there was product all over the place, I work in customer service and I notice when a store looks nice and Michaels did not. The reason I will never go back is not for the mess it was because when I found an employee to ask for help she quickly walked past me ignoring me when I clearly was standing in front of her to get help. when I followed her she didn’t stop or slow down. I asked where the macrame cord was and she said they don’t sell it there and kept going practically running away from me.I’m sorry that I was bothering you while you were working in a customer service job HAZEL but I deserve a respectful encounter. Moments after I bothered Hazel at her job I found the macrame cord on the shelf! So they do sell it. Then at checkout the cashier was not wearing a mask that covered her nose and mouth it was dangling under her chin and when I told another employee they did not ask the cashier to put on a mask and cover their nose and mouth. I understand working during a pandemic is challenging i myself have not had any time off during the pandemic but being respectful to paying customers is easy to do.I will not shop at this store ever again.

This is a fairly large location and usually have in stock what Im looking for and even what I didnt know I was looking for! Always great deals and there is ALWAYS a coupon on their website or the Michaels app, at least 40% a regular priced item.

Michaels always has great deals on crafts. Constant sales on things you need now not 2 weeks after the holidays. Plus great coupons. Some stores are changing to Michaels Aaron brothers so they are losing some of the craft items I usually shop for there. But great selection of art supplies.

The employees here are absolutely dishonest and rude. I understand that during this pandemic everyone is having to do things a bit differently but ignoring your phone 5 minutes before closing and then lying to your customers and just closing the door on them is not a good way to build customers.

The staff is extremely helpful and friendly at this location and kindly ask if I need help looking for something every time I go (which is often). This store has such a big selection and I am able to find everything on my list. Also there are many different deals every week so I would recommend this store for your artsy & crafty needs.

Love love love Michaels. You can find anything and everything for your projects. Customer service is great. They keep up the cleanliness of the store for how busy it gets which is surprising. Prices are reasonable. I can always find a coupon but only bad thing is that the coupon is hard to use because they always have everything on sale.
